Yes, I loved Power. Great movie!!! Jake always good whatever he does!!!

  4. mia girl says:

Powder! All Jake needs is the oversized grey suit.

I’m glad you posted that comment about Mark Wahlberg and the casting of Jennifer Lawrenece as his love interest. UGG. I read it this morning and thought how this week we all pounced on Ryan Phillipe for having a too young love interest, and yet Hollywood insists on portraying the same dynamic on screen.

  5. inthekitchen says:

Love, love, LOVE Stephen Colbert (except his obsession with making fat jokes). I love the IGB campaign and Trevor Project and think it’s awesome that he made the video.

  6. gee says:

JL is like 10 years too young for that part!

    And love the Powder ref.

  7. Chloe says:

    I love you, Stephen Colbert.

  8. Rhiley says:

I totally get the Powder reference.

  9. Rita says:

Stephen Cobert is the essence of witty and intelligent comedy.

Eva Longoria has a yeast infection? I bought one of those bread makers once and I got one too.

  10. Brittney says:

Powder, the albino healer. I can’t believe you referenced that. Also, James Franco keeps making it so difficult to find him hot. It frustrates me to no end.

  11. Brittney says:

Wait, never mind, your link says the exact opposite of the story’s headline… damn, girl, how do you upgrade from that?

  12. REALIST says:

I like Stephen Colbert’s message-you can be TGBT, or you can be chubby or artsy or ask too many questions in class and end up being tormented by schoolmates.
The ‘teen and ‘tween years are grueling, and any kid can get pushed to the edge by bullying, especially if combined with difficult situations at home (abuse being the obvious one).
I live in a city where we have a consistent population of homeless teens (mostly from abusive home) who congregate in one region of the city, mainly because they can receive discrete support from a handful of non-profits. Part of the reason the support needs to be discrete is because these kids are regularly tormented by students from a nearby university campus.
This is a vulnerable age for everyone, and the more positive support they can access and receive, the better.

  13. Chris says:

Final season of Entourage aye? It’ll be interesting to see how they tie it all up. I’m glad they’re only doing the one more season. It’s better to go out on a high rather than out stay your welcome.

  14. Charlotte says:

If I were the one standing in the same awkward pose as Eva, I’d fall on my ass. Gotta give her credit for staying upright on wonky footing in stilettos!

  15. Flan says:

    Love this guy.

There’s way too much bullying in America. Yes, it happens in other countries too, but there are certain things mainstream society does that make it worse. Like:

    -Condemn gay people on tv
-Have proms and Homecoming, which are clearly popularity contests, which will leave the outsiders very unhappy
-Encouragment of school spirit, with cheerleaders and jocks getting scholarships (what the hell??)

  16. skipper says:

He sure ugh knows how to ugh make a story up on ugh the spot.

Whether the story is real or not, he tells it well and makes the point. Great!
