Jennifer Love Hewitt needs to take a step back, erase the paparazzi numbers from her contact list, and stop tweeting for a little while. When it comes to overexposure she’s headed toward Kardashian territory, but maybe that’s what she’s aiming for. There’s a kind of currency in splashing your name and picture all over everything, and she could be hoping to parlay that into side opportunities like a perfume and/or clothing line. It truly doesn’t matter how poorly a celebrity dresses, (and J.Love often takes the cake) as long as they’re well known enough to market the crap a third world worker pastes their name on.
In the latest news about J.Love, she told Ryan Seacrest that it’s not true that she flew out to meet Bachelorette runner-up Ben Flajnik right after tweeting him. She claims that it was all a coincidence that she first tweeted Ben and then was seen out with him at a bar where they met totally by chance. Mmmhmm.
During the show’s August 1 finale, Hewitt, 32, tweeted that she needed to “book a flight to Sonoma,” which is where Flajnik lives and works. The actress explained her cyber-flirting to Seacrest, saying: “I was looking for something pop culture to tweet about… Things got blown out of proportion… I have nothing to say except I’m totally single!”
Seacrest’s cohost, Ellen K., asked the Can’t Hardly Wait Star: “Did you make out with [Ben]?”
Hewitt laughingly answered that “Rumors are rumors… We did meet, but totally by coincidence.”
An eyewitness told Us Weekly, however, that Flajnik initially stopped by Lion’s Pub in San Francisco with Giants player Cody Ross, but he made a beeline for Hewitt after spotting her across the room. “It seemed like a first date, but he wasn’t overly affectionate,” the source added.
Hewitt told Seacrest the duo just happened to be at the same place at the same time.
If the actress is interested, she better make her move. An insider told Us that Flajnik “is the favorite with the women trying out for [The Bachelor] and the crew” and might be back on reality TV soon.

So Hewitt tweeted Ben on August 2nd and then just “happened” to run into him at a bar on August 6th. I’m not buying it, and this kind of makes me wonder what else she could have been fibbing about. Back in 2008, Hewitt claimed that an US Weekly cover story about her weight loss was a total surprise to her and that US went to her personal trainer and did the cover without her involvement. I believed her at the time, but now I’m not so sure. It’s always possible that she was telling the truth in that instance while trying to save face with this bogus story though. (Or maybe both stories are true, who knows.)
I still sort-of like her though. She doesn’t seem that manipulative to me and she’s seeking validation in a very transparent way. Plus she seems nice and that goes far with me, no matter what games she’s playing or how obvious she is.

I like JLove but I’m not buying this story. Sorry. And I really wish she’s put on some heels if she’s going to wear something short that shows her thighs. She’s cute & has a great curvy body doesn’t do herself any favors with the way she dresses.
She’s a sweet girl but dumb as a box of rocks. I think she should move out of hollywood and settle down with an executive or something.

@bigchill-agreed. My first thought in response to this pic was that she should have worn some type of heeled sandal/shoe.
If I understand her correctly, it IS believable that she tweeted about booking a flight there because she WAS planning to and that she ended up “twirting” with him and knew that he was in that area. If he’s got $$ it’s also believable he ended up at the same restaurant, saw her there made a beeline considering their “twirting” and that she’s cute. It’d be a really big coincidence, but honestly, it happens.
Anyway, I DO like her. I respect that she wants marriage (and a maybe a family?) and isn’t embarrassed to be transparent about it. I personally think that our society can make us (women who desire that) feel lazy/unambitious for that. HOWEVER, I also feel like she is going about in the wrong way.
Sometimes I wish we were friends because I’d have a heart to heart with her. If she knows this is what she wants she needs to 1-only align herself with men who desire the same and 2-stop sleeping around with these guys (it’s obvious she can’t think straight when she does) until she knows they’re on the same page and headed in that direction for SURE. Some would say engagement, based on her age and track record, I’d say marriage. All in all, I think this really means she needs to re-evaluate/change what she considers important in a guy (it seems like that would be someone who can support a family and is looking for a lifetime commitment to HER) and don’t settle for less in that area. IN THE MEANTIME, be productive, better herself and love others.
I know tons of people will probably disagree with me especially about waiting to have sex and maybe even see that as manipulative. I think its wiser, safer and healthier (physically AND emotionally). That’s my opinion and analysis of her situation (intermingled with my own beliefs too I’ll admit).
I’ve personally been wondering about her, the overexposure and hoping she doesn’t try to emulate klever, krafty Kris’ Kim (since it appears to have worked). I really like her, want her to be happy but girlfriend is what, 32? Its time to change up her game plan because what she’s been doing is neither working nor healthy. Alright. I’ve said my peace you may now proceed to pick up your stones and hurl them at me. I’m at peace with that.
I feel sorry for this chick. She’s trying to make it in a world that has passed her by. She’s not famous enough to be too cool to play that game so she’s now resorting to stupid ploys (anyone remember her dressing as Audrey Hepburn and easting breakfast in front of Tiffany’s?).
She seems nice enough, and she’s never been that great of an actress that she can rely on her talents so I’ll give her a pass. At least she was an actress before she was a famewhore. Can’t say the same for the Kardashians or Hiltons of this world.
