Pretty much no family makes for cuter pictures than the Affleck/Garner clan. The threesome went shopping yesterday and were nauseatingly cute as usual. Really, I’d be jealous if they didn’t seem so genuinely happy and appreciative of each other. A couple websites make fun of how often Ben and Jen bring Violet with them and imply that parents are showing off their cute kid to lure the paparazzi. I think their intentions are pretty good and they’re just going about living their lives the way they want to.
Violet Affleck is easily the happiest celebrity kid around. She normally has a grin on her face just like any other regular kid. She doesn’t seem (rightfully) afraid of the paparazzi like Suri Cruise sometimes does, and she never looks miserable like Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen’s poor daughters. Clearly Ben and Jennifer do a good job of making Violet feel safe, secure, and happy. And that happens to make for super cute pictures too.

I too was wondering why they never let the kid walk because I know I let mine walk and she’s only a month or two off Violet. But then, I thought the same thing…with all the wacko Pap around I wouldn’t want to let my child out of my grasp either. Seems like a safety thing. I can’t blame her.
My daughter Violet is only 2 months older than their Violet, and I never let her walk in public, I carry her, or use her stroller. It is too easy for a little one to get kidnapped, or wander into the street, or a million scary things.
I always think the same thing, Jess. I understand why they want to carry her, but why is it always Jennifer?
Sometimes I do wonder how engaged Ben is.
Again, she is always walking two steps behind him. And….is anyone else getting sick of this duo or what!
If you’re sick of them don’t click on the link! They don’t ask the paparazzi to follow them around and take pictures so they are definitely not pimping Violet for attention. They never even released baby pictures of her to People or whoevere. And if Jen wants to carry Violet, that’s her decision. You probably would too if you had a throng of photographers around you and your kid.

I’m not a big fan of either Jen or Ben’s talent-wise, but Jen seems like a fabulous mom, and also fairly down-to-earth. This is so cheesy and irrational and I can’t even believe I’m thinking this out loud… but one thing I like about her is how she gains such a normal amount of weight when she’s pregnant! Plus, last time, she didn’t lose it really fast, and when she did, she was quite blunt about how difficult it was. I think she’s someone you could easily befriend at the local park while your kids are on the swings. 🙂
Violet just gets cuter every day It probably is a lot safer to carry her with so much going on around them. Obviously Ben is a caring and participating dad…haters who say otherwise are just jealous.
Jen Garner is a lovely mom and I think she and Ben are a great couple. I agree with everyone: Violet is a cutie!
