Joe Jonas has never experienced such unparalleled popularity. His phone rings off the hook, the myspace page for his band gets friend request from teen girls by the hundreds, and his shows attract ever-increasing numbers of young girls. A dream come true for any musician, right? Well, not so much.
This Joe Jonas is 71-year old bluesman from Dallas, TX, and quite frankly, he finds it all rather annoying.
Ever since the Jonas Brothers shot to boy-band superstardom, pubescent girls have been confusing the 71-year-old blues singer with the dreamy 18-year-old idol.
“It’s irritating, because I’m the real Joe Jonas,” he says. “I’ve been out here way before he was born.”
The problems started last year when young girls began leaving messages and photos of themselves on Mr. Jonas’ MySpace page. So many teen Jonasites visited the page that MySpace eventually had to shut it down. Things only got worse in June when Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas bought a $2.8 million home in suburban Westlake: Suddenly, excited girls were leaving messages on Mr. Jonas’ home answering machine – a puzzling development, since his number is unlisted.
“People say, ‘You have to change your phone number.’ But I’m not changing it. I’ve had it for 30 years and if I change it, I’ll be the loser,” he says.

Stick to your guns, Joe Jonas! Don’t let those young kids push you out of your rightful place as the “real” Joe Jonas. And when those cars full of pre-teen girls show up at the blues club and ask where The Jonas Brothers are, you keep telling them what you’ve been telling them.
“I am the Jonas brother. Not the Jonas Brothers.”
The elder Joe’s blame for the problems may be a little misplaced, however. When asked what he would say to the Joe Jonas he’s been mistaken for lately if he met him, he responded “I’ll tell him ‘You have caused me a lot of problems.'” Blame Disney.

Sure, that’s annoying, but it isn’t the kid’s fault. He didn’t name himself, after all! It’s just one of those unfortunate things. Sounds like the elder Mr. Jonas is being a little petulant about it (“I’m the real Joe Jonas”).
Time for a cage match! My money’s on the elder, original, and undoubtedly far more talented Jonas.
Once the new Jonas Brothers get into a big sex and drug-addled scandal and start their downhill decent into over-marketed has-beens, all the pre-teen girls will grow up, laugh at how silly they were for ever liking such crap and then Joe Jonas will have his normal life back again.
The Jonas brother’s don’t look so good now that they’re entering that awkward-ugly-teenager phase.

About two years ago, when you Google Joe Jonas, you where able to find “Texas Blues Man, Joe Jonas”. One day Joe called my husband, T. Wayne, and asked do you know who these Jonas Bothers are? That’s when it first started with Joe Jonas’ Blues.
T. Wayne decided to start a “MySpace” for Joe Jonas. All was going well for about two years, with over 500 friends and business contacts, until the tweens started asking to be Joe’s friend. Since the tweens where under age, they where denied as Joe’s friend. They where sent a nice letter stating, Joe was not one of the Jonas Bothers. The tweens (we think or could have been Disney’s promoters for the Jonas Bothers) reported Joe Jonas’ ” MySpace” as a “fraud site”! That’s when Joe’s first “MySpace” was deleted and all his information was lost.
Joe Jonas has a new “MySpace” up now. Stop by and be his friend. Beware! If you are a tween you will be denied without the nice message or why you are being denied.
Then the Jonas Brothers bought a home in Westlake, TX, in the DFW area. More Blues for Joe Jonas
Oh, my! The phone calls on his home phone! The e-mails and the text-messages on his cell phone! These tweens still think they have found The Jonas Brothers, even after they have been told they have the wrong Joe Jonas. It’s way to much for the 71 year old Joe Jonas. Joe will not give up his home phone, he has had the same number for over 30 years. He did get a new cell number. The text-messages ran his bill up, which he refused to pay. The 71 year old Joe Jonas does not text and did not won’t the text messages from the tweens. As for e-mail, Joe has lost some European tours and important business e-mails where lost due to the over whelming amount of e-mails shutting down his “in-box”.
Then there are Joe Jonas’ performances. Parents bringing their tweens to see the Jonas Brothers. Attention All Parents! If the event is in Dallas/Fort Worth or surrounding area, city sponsored events or cost less then $75.00, there is a good chance you are not going to see the Jonas Bothers. You will see a great, over whelming, and powerful performance from the 71-year-old Texas Blues Man, Joe Jonas.
Some Good News! The Silvertones, feathering Joe Jonas won the “IBC” competition here in North Texas and will be going to Memphis. The 2009 “International Blues Challenge” will be the 25th year of Blues musicians from around the world competing for cash, prizes, and industry recognition. The Blues Foundation will present the 25th International Blues Challenge February 4-7, 2009 in Memphis, TN. The world’s largest gathering of Blues acts represents an international search by The Blues Foundation and its Affiliated Organizations for the Blues Band and Solo/Duo Blues Act ready to take their act to the international stage.
Joe Jonas has nothing bad to say about the Jonas Brothers. He did say he could “teach those Jonas Brothers a thing or two about the blues and what a hard road it is to travel.”

it may have been his fault or it may have not been i dont really care for the Jonas brothers i used to like there music but there getting old now i mean when they just came out there music was great but after a while when they would come out with a new song u would like it for like 2 days then after that its like ugh i hate this song there not the best boy band i think the best boy band was Nsync and the backstreet boys at least when u hear there new songs u like it for a long time there music was actually something u can dance too and even when i hear Nsync and the backstreet boys today im like ohhhhhh yeah awsome crank it up but when i hear the Jonas brothers im like yeah whatever ill listen to it i guess. the Jonas brothers are an old thing of the past.
im going to make a point the Jonas brothers arent a real boy band to be a real boy band u need to have 5 boys in the group and u cant be related to on another the Jonas brothers only have 3 and there related to each other every boy band i know of every single one has 5 boys in the group and there not related. the Jonas brothers are an incomplete boy band there gonna loose there fame soon and to any girl that thinks im wrong about wat im saying comfront me tell me wat u think and if your offended im sorry but its true
