These are new photos of the UK premiere of The Help. Now… before I throw a hissy fit about Emma Stone’s style, let me take a deep breath and say something nice. I like that 22-year-old girl dresses like a 22-year-old girl who is still experimenting with her style. I like that Emma isn’t wandering around with her biscuits hanging out. I like that her default style position seems to be set on “demure”.
Now, for the hissy fit: she wears some of the ugliest crap I’ve ever seen. Remember the beginning of the year, when she appeared at the Golden Globes and she looked so elegant and classic in that peach-pink Calvin Klein? What happened over the course of this year that Emma is now just throwing on whatever horned monstrosity or vagina dust ruffle she can find. This Luca Luca dress has no redeeming qualities. I was going to just ignore the polka dots (I’m not a polka dot person – I don’t see the point in polka dots, honestly) and focus on the cut of the dress, but the cut sucks too! Look at the awkward way it drapes on Emma’s body. Look at that unsexy slit down the front that she’s about trip over. It’s just a hideous dress from start to finish. Please, Emma. Figure out your style. Enough with this crap.

I think if she just removed that weird drapery fabric in front, sleeves and what not and had a clean bodice, it would be nice
Agree, Jacqu. There’s too much going on, but the idea of it is cute. There should just be…less of it. Viola Davis looks smashing, though! She has pretty great style. Maybe she could take Emma in hand?

The polka dots are cute, but I hate the styling of the dress. I never like any dress that has that type of sleeve though, but this one is especially messy looking.

Sorry to bring Linnocent into this post but everytime I see Emma Stone I think this is where Linnocent could have been if she hadn’t become do cr*cked out. Emma Stone is a beautiful red head who appears to respect herself and her career so kudos to Emma

I think she’s such a young ingénue that she can afford to experiment with fashion, wear kooky outfits and still get away with it. I actually love her choices. Keep rocking it, Emma. You’ve got tons of years before you need to tone it down and wear boring Calvin Klein sheath dresses!
Emma Stone…I know I’m supposed to love this girl (everybody here seems to) but there’s something about her that bothers me.
I don’t know…maybe it’s the way she speaks — she seems to have a strange way of projecting her lips when she talks, as if she had an overbite (caused by thumb sucking or pacifiers). She’s got beautiful eyes though.
Now Viola Davis: I love her and I love her look here. And yes, her necklace is indeed awesome.

I think it’s adorable, but her make-up needs to be toned down…it’s a bit clown-like.
