Does anyone else think Lauren Conrad looks waxy & Botoxy?

fp_8141137_rij_skyrim_party_02_62

I put the link to some of these photos in yesterday’s afternoon links, but as I look more closely at the photos, I really get more and more disturbed. What the hell did Lauren Conrad do to herself? I used to think LC was pretty, in a non-descript, “the American Kate Middleton” kind of way. Seriously, imagine LC with a dark brunette shade and big, fluffy curls. Duchess Kate, right? They have the same face, although thankfully, LC doesn’t wear raccoon eye makeup. LC does, however, play with Botox. That’s my only explanation for this waxy, puffy look to her once pretty face.

Don’t yell at me, okay? Don’t start in, “You shouldn’t be saying that, you don’t know, maybe she’s just retaining water” or my favorite, “She looks the same.” No. Look at how her face used to look one year ago:

And here’s her face now:

Puffy. Waxy. Botoxy. Kardashian-like. She’s 25 years old! There’s no reason for this. Stop the madness, LC. I get that she’s went through a major breakup a few months ago (she split with Kyle Howard because it wasn‘t going anywhere), but she’s been out and about, dating up a storm – she had a fling with Derek Hough (meh) and now she’s making out with Chace Crawford. That’s not the best, but she could certainly do worse, and at least she’s out there. Now she just needs to stop with whatever is going on with her face.

I concur, you could bounce a coin off her forehead…hmm i think that analogy only works with tightly made beds.

  2. Addie says:

LC can do no wrong in my eyes.

In my humble opinion, she revolutionized an entire generation of woman’s dress style and is truely a modern style icon. Sad that she doesn’t get much recognition as a designer, she is amazing and got out of the hills show with a good reputation and career.

About her look …*shrugs* looks the same to me, although she has always looked older than her age, I am 25 too and look waaay younger than her.

  3. ShanKat says:

Kaiser, put down the crack pipe!

She lost some weight, but that’s a young, untweaked face. She hasn’t even had rhinoplasty.

  4. Bite me says:

Looks closely.. Looks the same the me… Although a little oily

  5. gee says:

I think the waxy you’re seeing is what we call shiny or oily? I don’t think she did anything to her face. Yet.

    I love her style.

  6. Cherry says:

I don’t get it. I’ve been staring at the pics, but she really looks the same to me.

  7. Pyewacket says:

No. She looks like a girl her age, who has oily skin, like I did.

  8. boobytrap says:

she looks the same to me too. also – i love her outfit. she always looks so chic and i don’t think she ever really gets props for that.

  9. Addie says:

    @boobytrap: exactly right.

On the 1st season of The Hills, she started fashion school and stuck to it till graduation (while Heidi quit after one year) Lauren had a very unique style that caught on quick, and am proud of her for having her own clothing line, we don’t get her lable here in South Africa, so I always buy clothes that are similar.

Lauren would always be the main reason I watched, She is a genuine ‘girl next doo who you root for’ When she left, I could care less about that show.

Yes I am a fan of The Hills, don’t judge 🙂

  10. Talie says:

Her staying power has been remarkable for someone who is essentially quite bland–and the fact that she still gets major magazine covers without being on TV is also impressive.

  11. Heatheradair says:

errrrrmmm — I’m agreeing with everyone else. She looks like she went with a greasy moisturizer under her makeup, and her eyeliner is a little more extreme — otherwise, looks the same to me (and I’m definitely an LC fan — keep track of her on her multitude of sort of unnecessary beauty and lifestyle websites and what not — she posts lots of pictures of herself — I think she was just having an off-day here with her makeup….)

Her outfit, btw — is pretty awesome. love the sheer blouse and leather pants…..

  12. Fran says:

Sorry, looks the same to me as well. Oily, but that’s about it.

  13. MJ says:

She’s always looked a little frozen to me. I don’t know if it’s the ‘tox or just a really fake smile.

  14. Sara says:

Looks the same, but makeup looks lighter than the rest of her body. Always loved LC.

  15. tiredofrumers says:

    boring professional beard.

  16. GirlyGirl says:

Lauren Conrad? I thought she had disappeared like those other Hills losers?

  17. Anon says:

its just shes amped up the “dewy glowy” look that is so popular right now…which under right lights just looks oily and sweaty

  18. Atticus says:

I thought the set of the before/after pics looked compelling but I think it’s a bad angle. After seeing what Heidi did to herself, I’d be shocked if Lauren went anywhere near a plastic surgeon. Addie, I agree – I love LC!

  19. Francesca says:

Same face, more makeup. Looks like she may be covering up a breakout.. love her!.

  20. Shelly says:

I honestly don’t see any difference in her face. Just maybe the makeup. In the newer pics her makeup looks more pale or something, maybe making her look waxy. I don’t see botox.

  21. Chereth Cutestory says:

That second to last photo looks like it was created at Madame Tussaud’s.

And why are we seeing photos of her? I thought she drifted of into Irrelevant Land like Heidi and Spencer.

  22. Veronica says:

Botox doesn’t make you puffy… its a paralytic. Muscles just don’t move.

  23. rissa says:

something looked off to me as well…… she looks drunk.

  24. Amy says:

I’m not seeing tweaks or botox, but it definitely looks like the softness of youth in her face is starting to wane.

  25. elina says:

How boring can one person be? Geez. Look eat her right eyebrow on the most recent pictures. Bustin a Kate Winslet.

  26. Kim says:

She is laughing and nothing is moving on her forehead so i think botox but not totally overboard. She is not a looker this one. Very blah looking.

  27. Amanda G says:

If anything her face is shiner and maybe she gained a bit of weight? Other than that I don’t see a difference.

  28. Kimberly says:

for someone younger than me she has sooooo many wrinkles and bags!!!!!

Either those expensive moisturizeres don’t work, or that california sun makes 20somethings look 40.

  29. Shoe_lover says:

she hasn’t had botox she just used oily something. I’m the same age as her and when I laugh and smile my forehead doesn’t move either and I can assure you I haven’t had any botox

  30. JaneWonderfalls says:

I think she looks great! I have always thought Lauren was pretty outside as well as in, I think she may have a bit to much concealer on but hey it happens to all of us from time to time. She looks fresh face and youthful, I see no botox look.

  31. Paige says:

    she looks the same!

  32. Pamela says:

I really like her clothing line at Kohls. It’s very feminine, yet comfortable clothing. The colors and prints are gorgeous. I’m no prude, but it is refreshing to see clothing that is a little more modest, especially the tops. Now, I wish the skirts were a little bit longer. Mid-thigh length is a little two high for me, mostly because I’m overweight and I want to hide my thighs.

I don’t see a real big difference between the two pictures. Maybe her make-up is a little too light, and the older one she is more tanner. Eh, I hope she isn’t doing anything to her face, she is pretty as she is (inside and out).

  33. laugunalou says:

Lauren is the realist girl I’ve ever known. She is truthful and NATURALLY beautiful. She was one of the best reality show stars out there cause she was a good influence for girls and young women to look up to!
