Demi Moore finally ends 6-year marriage to Ashton Kutcher

Praise Jesus, y’all. Demi Moore is finally admitting that her marriage to Ashton Kutcher is over. I would have loved to have seen this a month and a half ago, but now is pretty good too. Demi Moore announced the split with an official statement to Us Weekly:

It’s really over for Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher.

“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton,” a rep for Moore, 49, tells Us Weekly in a statement.

“As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life,” Moore’s statement continues.

Us Weekly was first to break news that Kutcher, 33, had a one-night stand with San Diego party girl Sara Leal, 22, in the wee hours of Sept. 24 of this year — Kutcher and Moore’s sixth wedding anniversary.

Margin Call actress Moore adds in her statement: “This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation.”

It was the first marriage for Two and a Half Men star Kutcher, and the third for Moore, who divorced singer Freddy Moore in the mid-1980s, and fellow actor Bruce Willis in 2000. Married for 13 years, she and Willis, 56, share three daughters: Rumer, 23, Scout, 20, and Tallulah, 17.

Just last weekend, Willis hosted the embattled couple at his vacation home in Turks and Caicos, where Moore and Kutcher gave one last shot at repairing their union. “They had to get away,” a source told Us. “Things have been very strained.”

[From Us Weekly]

I especially like the line, “As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life.” She’s right – she’s a mother to three young women who look at her as an example. On one side, she was setting an example of working for and fighting for your marriage, and honoring your commitment – on the other side, she was showing her daughters that it was cool to have a husband who screwed around. Mixed messages.

Of course, Ashton had to tweet his response. I wonder if his new Twitter management team came up with this? He wrote: “I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail.” Whatever, jag.

I know some of you are over it, but I’m Team Demi still. I hope she divorces this bastard and finds someone really nice.

Good for Demi, I’m glad she grew a backbone and filed for divorce.

  2. Elizabeth S. says:

I think she was sorting things out in preparation for divorce.

Things like protecting her finances, hiding affairs (I’ve heard the rumours), making it clear that she wanted to make the marriage work – maybe she was actually working the divorce out in private with Ashton.

I’m sorry but, much as I sympathise with her situation, I’ve never believed that she was the pathetic lil’ woman wanting to get back with the cheating douche.

She’s in control. Good for her.

  3. Alix says:

As Michael K put it: “The Shocking News That No One Saw Coming!”

  4. Dana M says:

Finally. I hope that she finds a mature man to settle down with soon. And hopefully she will be able to eat some food soon. Some people can’t eat during stressful situations.

  5. lairen says:

Oh wow. I’m shocked. I always though cheating brought such stability to a marriage. Who woulda thunk?

  6. Kimbob says:

Well, it’s high time we heard this announcement. I, for one, was beginning to lose faith in Demi. I’m so glad she came to her senses and made the ONLY decision that a woman could make if they were married to Ashton, a douche that’s cheated on her twice already (that the general public is aware of)!

  7. mln76 says:

Lainey pointed out she announced Thursday afternoon instead of Friday evening to give the tabs time to get the story straight and make sure she’s on the cover of the tabs. I bet she will have her friends skewer him in the press and go for the sympathy of the Mini-Vans.
I don’t think there is some ageist moral to the story (but I am sure there will be a few dozen comments to that effect coming soon) except that a douche is a douche at any age. I don’t think she’s a ‘victim’ she thought a happy marriage was all about looking good in a bikini and now she’s been proven wrong.

  8. Becky says:

I’m glad that she finally did it. Hopefully she’s working on getting herself physically healthy, too…she’s been looking scarily thin lately.

Ashton is such a douche. I really don’t get his appeal. He’s a lousy actor and a dick. Yeah, he’s good looking but I’m sure there are hundreds of guys in LA or NYC just as physically attractive who are more talented. I’ve always been amazed that he’s done as well as he has career-wise. I’m sure having access to all of Demi’s connections has helped him considerably.

  9. Pont Neuf says:

I’m ambivalent about this entire situation. On the one side, Ashton Kutcher is an insufferable cretin who has made a fortune out of sheer irrelevance, and his utter stupidity and arrogance have finally caught up with him during this whole fiasco.

But what about Demi? She is famous for being wooden in mono-dimensional characters, having so much plastic surgery that even a Barbie doll would call her “fake” and having married Bruce Willis. And that’s it.

I say that these two were at their best together: on their own they are just embarrassing, whereas together, they were embarrassingly amusing.

As for all the comments about her being “empowered” by this divorce, please! We’re talking about a woman who married a guy who could be her own son, just for the sake of publicity… Oh no, I mean, it was real “love” … On twitter… Yeah, sure.

  10. Mauibound says:

Thank goodness Demi stepped up! I can appreciate her wanting to work it out but a cheater is a cheater period… My dad used to say that you can’t trust a man who cheats, if they would lie like that to their wife, they would lie to anyone… Nuff said.

  11. Str8Shooter says:

Wow! The stars and planets must be aligned, and surely Armageddon is coming!

    And they seemed so STABLE.

Puh-leeze! I have bagels with a longer shelf life than this sham of a marriage ever had.

  12. Marjalane says:

Can’t wait to see who they both start up with; You know it’s only a matter of time before she’s seen canoodling with Bradley Cooper! And then Ashton can date either of the Olivia’s. (the female version of Bradley Cooper)

  13. the original bellaluna says:

Well, I hope she gets alimony, now that he’s ‘big bank Hank” what with being the “big star” on 2-and-a-Half-Men and all!!!

I also hope she starts taking better care of herself physically, as well as emotionally.

(So, does this mean they were actually legally married and didn’t just have a “commitment” ceremony?)

  14. Zigggy says:

Yessss! Finally, that makes me happy.

  15. Nev says:

    don’t cheat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. Yessiiirrreee says:

I think my respect for her has gone up a few notches.

  17. lamplighter says:

i’m praying to the tabloid gods for a kim kardashian/ashton kutcher hook-up. kim kardashian kutcher. it has a certain ring, don’t you think? and demi can adopt kris humphries. win/win for everyone.

  18. Aqua says:

Good! she deserves better. She doesn’t need to stay with someone like him for any reason.Demi is a strong independent woman who is more than capable of taking care of herself.

  19. You don't say says:

She finally grew that pair and did the right thing. Don’t know what really went on inside and outside of the marriage (at least on her part, his was pretty public) of course, but I agree that she needed to get everything sorted out first, make sure she looked like she was trying and then drop kicked him to the curb.

I think she should stay single, concentrate on her family, get her health and dignity back, then move forward, if she wants to. She also needs to keep her mouth shut and not answer any questions or give interviews. Her children don’t need to hear any of the dirt from her and that way she looks like the mature one.

Interesting to see how the oh so reliable and tacky tabloids spin this one, especially the one that said they were “working it out” on some island..opps.

  20. Bermuda Blues says:

Who is Demi gonna date next?

I vote George Clooney. She’d actually be perfect for him, because she’s gorgeous, she looks 25, and she’s already had a family so she won’t try to get him to settle down (like all the 25 year olds he dates eventually do). Plus George doesn’t like kids, and Demi’s kids are old enough to be one of his girlfriends.

I just don’t want to see her spiral down into an increasingly younger age group (a la Madonna and JLo) I think there is a limit to acceptability. Half your age + 6 is my limit.

I’m not even a Demi Moore fan, I just hate Ashton Kutcher and want him to disappear forever. I do not understand how he has a career. He’s a terrible actor, he’s not funny and lately, he looks like a cult member.

  21. dave says:

Did hold longer than expected. Congratz to both of them.

  22. tripmom says:

Obviously Ashton is a sleaze, but I just can’t jump on this whole “poor little Demi” train. I think she has her own issues and is just better at keeping her business under a lid. I think that behind closed doors she made several compromises that invited this behavior in him, and the only reason they’re separating is that this all went public and it’s embarrassing for her. I’m just not a fan of either of them.

  23. jc126 says:

I hope she finds someone nice and mature, but first she’ll have to grow up herself and not be so shallow.

  24. islandwalker says:

Good, maybe she can head to a sandwich shop after the courthouse.

  25. MacScore says:

    @ you don’t say
Can’t help but comment; in the fabulous words of Betty White, [and I paraphrase here]:
no, to be courageous, you don’t need to “grow a pair” because, after all, aren’t they rather sensitive and exposed? To be really courageous, hell, just grow a vagina, because that thing sure takes a hell of a lot of beating.
Ashton is ridiculous, Demi’s not much better. Thank god she drop-kicked him through the goal posts of life.

  26. Anon73 says:

let’s face it they have an ENORMOUS age difference at 49 yrs and 33 yrs. this marriage had a timestamp on it from the get-go.

  27. dave says:

I just remembered a reference to their age different relationship in the movie “Crazy stupid Love”, I guess the director has to re-cut that scene lols

  28. Camille says:

Finally. Thank god that mess is over.

    @tripmom: ITA with you.

  29. the original bellaluna says:

Bermuda Blues – Brilliant! I think you may be on to something there!

  30. Incredulous says:

I see Demi made off with the better writer. Ashton’s dipshit statement makes it seem like their marriage failed for some inchoate reason.

  31. ahoyhoy says:

Try a grown man next time, Demi.

The way she’s been looking lately, I feared we’d be reading her obituary before this.
Ashton is a douche, and I hate to see Demi so ravaged by a douche.

  32. teehee says:

‘Sometimes they fail” you mean sometimes YOU FAIL as a MAN…. jeebus.

  33. 2 Mainstream says:

For once the rumours proved to be true. Now we can settle in for a whole new wave of gossip about Demi and Ashton’s new love interests.

  34. birdie says:

Good for her! Ashton screwed up big time. His image is like Kim Kartrashian´s ..just not good

  35. JuliaDoman says:

    Seems like a wise decision….

  36. Bite me says:

About time… But uhmm how is she going to stay relevant now

  37. benny says:

Good for her. Maybe without the added stress and insecurity, she’ll gain some weight back and start looking healthier.

  38. lolaluvsu says:

i thought she released a statement to
ap-news and not usweekly. if she really did release it first to usweekly, then i lost a bit of respect for her. ugh! finally over.

demi, sorry we all said it wouldn’t last.

  39. Lindsey G. says:

“Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail.”

Dude….it’s your fault it failed!!! UGH

  40. Emma says:

Ugh I hope everyone jumps on the hate-Ashton bandwagon, esp now. Way to go, Dem!

  41. The Original Mia says:

    About damn time!

@lolaluvsu: It showed up on my twitter as breaking news from AP. So, I think she gave a statement to them first and the rest picked up on it.

  42. Aqua says:

@ Birdie #34 could you imagine what would happen if Ashton got together with Kim K?

  43. buster says:

poor demi. breaking up is hard. irregardless of the douche factor of her partner. and – i think she genuinely loved him…. i looked at her twitter feed ‘once’ and she had all these pictures of weird monkey dolls with captions like ‘this one makes me feel happy’. i think she is a lonely woman, having a hard time coming to terms with aging.

  44. Laughing Librarian says:

It must hurt like hell, but good for her. Kutcher was practically dangling his affairs in her face. I thought he was sweet in the beginning-fame must have soured him.

Demi showed respect for herself, and for her daughters, who must have been mortified as well. She is probably thanking the Kaballah stars now that they didn’t have kids; now she can just cut loser Ashton loose.

And, Maybe Bruce will give Ashton a bonus kick in the a– 🙂

  45. Sash says:

I hope she finds someone too. Someone a bit older probably, more mature, who will think he’s totally won the jackpot with Demi and make her feel treasured 🙂

  46. Jumpie Claps says:

Why are people hollering “about time”? Demi is steering her ship. If she waited two weeks or two months to make an announcement, what difference does it make? She no doubt spent some time getting her ducks in a row before rushing to the phone. Waiting and taking your time before acting is most times the smartest way to proceed. She doesn’t have to fly off the handle just to satisfy public opinion. Leave the girl alone, she’ll get her course straightened out. She doesn’t need us to tell her what to do.
Kutcher just needs to go take a long walk off a tall building.

  47. Kimble says:

In the interests of full disclosure I am 49 and I live with a man who is 33 …

That would be 33 not 23 – most men of 33 are married or in a relationship, many with young children. Why is Ashton’s age being linked to maturity? At his age, he should have a clear understanding of what is involved when you commit or marry someone.

He is NOT a child – he is an ignorant douche!

  48. NM9005 says:

    Hmm, something is not right.

“Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately I made it even more difficult by sticking my wang into random chicks so yes, sometimes people are big asshole douchebags who deliberately try to wreck the marriage because they’re too pussy to make the decision themself.”

Oh yes, mucho better! And for once I’m going to defend JT’s acting skills because a douche is the best person to mock another douche.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FcXsfnfh6M

Now THIS is gossip, definitely tops the Baby Bieber thing. I can’t wait until Demi starts to throw with mud (through “sources” of course).

  49. danielle says:

I actually have some respect for her for trying to work it out – obviously this hasn’t been a decision she’s taken lightly (as evidenced by her dramatic weight loss – poor woman has really aged in two months!) I don’t blame her for leaving her cheating husband, but too many people take committment too lightly, so props to her.

  50. Laura says:

YAY for Demi! She has gained the respect that she lost when we all thought she was just putting up with Ashton and his douchey ways. I wonder why she finally filed?

  51. Cinderella says:

Maybe she can get her life back now. He drained a lot from her.

  52. jane16 says:

omg. How ridiculously sanctimonious of her. Not that I’m defending him, mind you but they have both cheated on each other. Everyone I know is laughing their asses off about this, becuz she is such a hypocrite.

  53. jane16 says:

You know what, with all the Ashton hate here, I’m going to say also that I know them both & Demi is an arrogant, entitled, conceited bitch. Ashton at least is nice to other people.

  54. womanfromthenorth says:

    It’s only been 6 years?!

    God
seems much longer than that!! Wait those are real married years… ok… I understand.

  55. Denise says:

He and his Twitter addiction can go straight to hell. I grew up with her and I wish her well; she needs to eat and heal. I hope the douche bag crashes and burns.

  56. Jayna says:

Is everybody insane? She didn’t grow a backbone. He isn’t fighting for the marriage. He wants out and through passive aggressive behavior after the cheating forces her to file. He just didn’t want to be the bad guy and file. It wasn’t her choice. It’s the complete opposite. She had no choice.

I guess her having threesomes wasn’t enough to keep him nor tweeting photos of herself in bikinis. Next time, Demi, have more dignity and maturity in your
marriage. Bruce’s wife acts with class, not hanging on twitter in a midlife crisis.

  57. Firecracker says:

“i’m praying to the tabloid gods for a kim kardashian/ashton kutcher hook-up. kim kardashian kutcher. it has a certain ring, don’t you think? and demi can adopt kris humphries. win/win for everyone.”

    Lamplighter,
A good suggestion, but Kim would never go for him. His first name doesn’t start with a K

  58. mln76 says:

@jane16 I’ve heard as much on Blind G and other sites but if you feel like sharing DO TELL!!!

  59. Riri says:

He really left her no other choice. He cheated with Vegas girls.

What was she supposed to do?

Too bad, because I really thought they had a good relationship and that in some level he is a good and loving partner.

Too bad he isn’t the nice guy that he makes himself seem in his films.

  60. gloaming says:

    Her statement is complete BS!

This Blind Item I read from Dlisted fits them both.

“Don’t believe for one second that this couple has reconciled. Their open relationship has come back to bite them both in the butt. No, he’s not the only who cheated. Although the two agreed early on that straying outside the marital bed with “strangers” was acceptable, guess who two-timed her soon-to-be-ex hubby with one of his longtime friends? Hubby is so upset about this that he’s taken off his wedding ring but pretends to go to counseling to try to work things out. Wifey, on the other hand, while publicly maintaining that the couple is going to work things out, spends more time plotting image-saving strategies with her ex and her publicist. Hubby and Wifey are both a couple of liars. They are as likely to get back together as they are to win the marriage state championship”.

Her PR is in overdrive now, she’s trying to come out of this better than Doucheton Kutcher.

    They’re both A-holes.

  61. Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

    So…okay, then.

  62. laura says:

This guy’s a complete d-bag….always has been. I hate the ‘dumb guy’ voice he always does (or is that his actual voice?)…get a new schtick, Ashton.

And can we all agree to COMPLETLY IGNORE the piece of trash who he hooked up with? We need to send a message to the media outlets that we don’t want to hear from these losers and no one SHOULD make a cent off of their slutty moves or the pain they’ve caused others.

  63. Green_Eyes says:

@Anon 73. Agedoesnt make a time stamp, maturity does. My husband is 65 and I am 46, we have been married almost 17 yrs and I can honestly say they have been 17 happy yrs! But I don’t go around trying to be a teenage girl as Ashton tried to seem like a cool teen forever, and hubby doesn’t try to act like a 30 yr old..but he doesn’t act like 65 is old..nor does he look it. We share a lot of interests..but trying to prove we are a young hip couple isn’t one of them…if your truly in love w/ a person, age isn’t a factor….a douchebag is a douchebag whether your younger, older, or the same age. Ashton’s just a douche bag who thought he was relevant.

  64. Green_Eyes says:

@Firecracker- OMG!! I love it Kutcher & Kartrashion hook up! Bet mama K would love it to…wouldn’t mess w/ the brand as the initials fit;) KK

  65. Jay says:

A month and a half hardly seems an excessive amount of time to contemplate — rationally — how to handle it. It’s better than a knee jerk reaction made in the heat of anger.

As for marriage being one of the most difficult things in the world, I dunno. I’ve been married over 17 years and it doesn’t seem so difficult to me. I suspect you must be doing it wrong, Ashton.

  66. SamiHami says:

Maybe now she’ll stop so desperately trying to look and act like someone 15 years younger. There is no shame in aging gracefully and beautifully. Having a procedure done because you don’t like a particular feature? Sure, why not? But to repeatedly go under the knife to stave off any sign of growing older is futile. Just look at Madonna-she’s absolutely hideous now, and a fifty year old woman just looks like a fool running around with 25 year old boys. (and vice versa).

Moore used to be considered a pretty good actress. Now that she’s getting rid of the dead weight in her life maybe she can revive her career.

And I hope she meets a good guy who treats her well, but that she doesn’t marry again. With three marriages behind her now, her track record is not very good.

  67. jdao says:

Yes, drop that chicken dinner and find you a winner!

  68. Claire78 says:

Don’t feel sorry for her at all – or Ashton. The pathetic pictures of her in her bikini and bending over showing her crack were the end of any respect I had for her (which wasn’t much anyway). I think they were both aware of what kind of marriage they had. Both just want the sympathy card to save their careers.

  69. Kloops says:

Both are talentless idiots. Wish they’d both rip away.

  70. eternalcanadian says:

LOL @ what Ashton said. He’s the one that waved his peener around. He’s the one that made himself look like a douchebag in front of the world. I do wish Demi had booted Ashton out the door the moment he got jiggy with other people but either Ashton is totally amazing in the sack or she truly loved him (neither of which make Demi look good especially in front of her own daughters) and that’s why she hung on to him for six very long years (does that include the time they dated?).

  71. MorticiansDoItDeader says:

@min76, “she thought a happy marriage was all about looking good in a bikini and now she’s been proven wrong.”

Sadly, she probably thinks she was right all along (and that she just wasn’t young enough/ thin enough etc., hence the continued weightloss and plastic surgery). Had ASSton cheated on her with a 30-40 something intellectual, and not a “hot tub worthy” 22 year old club chick, she’d probably be reprioritizing. However, I think his choice of bed mates tells us “bikini ready” is highest on his list of priorities.

  72. Amanda says:

It’s sad when marriages end, but I thinkshe will find a good man her own age.

  73. tracking says:

Wow, Kutcher’s response was so insincere and trite. He might as well have tweeted: Out of here. Later. She is far better off without him, and I look forward to the interesting things she could do with her life and career if she would just lose the youth obsession. She made a name for herself playing strong female characters in the old days and I’d really like to see that actress come back. As for that talentless oaf, I hope it is a swift slide into oblivion. I for one would be delighted to never lay eyes on him again!

  74. wresa says:

    Congrats, Demi!

  75. WTF says:

Justin Theroux should be available after Wanderlust premieres are done …i’m sure Jen would be willing to release him to Demi

  76. wunder says:

    *surprise surprise*

    They can both do better.

  77. Rant says:

“Sometimes they fail (marriages)” No they don’t. Marriages don’t fail. PEOPLE fail the marriage. So nice of him to minimize his actions and to avoid accountability. Douche.

  78. LeeLoo says:

Ashton’s actions suggest to me he’s wanted out of this marriage for awhile. His statement totally reflects that.

I do not like Demi Moore. I think she’s a middle aged famewhore desperate to cling to her youth. But I do feel sorry for her because I have a theory Ashton straight up used her and I think once his business ventures began taking off and he didn’t need her anymore he began stepping out on Demi and was over the marriage and when he secured the 2 1/2 Men gig he really began to make it obvious he was done with the marriage. He was being an immature passive aggessive douche because a)he was not mature enough to pull the plug himself b)Demi made his life hell when he tried c)(most likely hypothesis) he was worried Demi was going to go after his newfound fortune.

I’m so relieved this finally happened so we don’t have to hear about this anymore. Both of them need to walk into the oblivion sunset.

  79. lisa says:

    Ashton is a tool.

but yes marriages DO FAIL.. they fail when one person stops trying or when both people wake us and realize it is over. OR a million other reasons. NOT always anyone’s fault.

Demi and Ashton are a different story. I just don’t think she was blindsided by anything.

Now the next gossip cycle begins. See there are way more REAL dramas to follow then the lies the tabloids print about other couples.

  80. Dani says:

So Ashton got the requisite Hollywood starter marriage out of the way.

I wonder who the next chick will be.

  81. mln76 says:

@morticiansdoitbetter….Sadly I think you are right. I expect her to show up in 3 to 6 months looking even ‘fresher’ with some new lover she’s had waiting in the wings for the last few months(if jane16 is to be believed). Ashton is beyond hope in terms of being an interminable douche but it’s tragic that Demi is just as addicted to the superficial.

  82. Iggles says:

    Gosh, he’s a douche!

I’m on Team Demi. She has really pretty eyes. Ashton can suck it! Boo! >:o

  83. ShanKat says:

I hope Ashton’s still feeling horny…party girl Laura Wasser is about to bend him over.

  84. Callumna says:

I loved their whole cougar-pup thing but then they got weird about playing it up.

Too bad, it was a hot story at one time.

I’d lament the end of their marriage but let’s get real, it did seem like they were trying to be real some times but then it became all about the publicity and attention.

  85. theaPie says:

Three failed marriages? Time to seriously question your pecker picker Demi.

  86. Erm says:

Yay, go Demi! Finally! Hope her daughters look after her. She’s so thin.

  87. Leek says:

It’s sad to be cheated on and so difficult to get over but I still think that when I’m 40 years old I will know better than to marry a 25 year old. Maybe I’m a cold bitch but I just don’t feel that sorry for her.

  88. Ann says:

Ashie boy isn’t going to age well. He’s already getting chubby and puffy.

  89. K.at says:

Their statements make it clear- they despise each other. Every other celebrity break-up discusses “remaining friends, still love each other”, etc… Not these two- at least they’re not pretending and it gives me hope that ish is about to get real antagonistic.

And I am in the camp that thinks ashton tried to get out tons of times, but Demi wouldn’t let him unless he did something so egregious- well he did it.

  90. Patricia says:

    WOW … now that’s a statement:
“marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world”

Haven’t had a lot of difficulties in your life have you Asston?

    What a complete douche.

I am so glad she’s out. No one deserves that.

  91. Mari says:

So much for an “open” marriage. And yeah, he totally wanted out and seeked the way until he found it.
Demi is a gorgeous woman but I think she became such a weirdo over the years. Trying obsessively to remain as young and thin as possible, bordering even on ridiculous

  92. F5 says:

Kim K is pulling her hair out:D

  93. Debbie says:

So you people have short memories SHE CHEATED ON BRUCE WILLIS SO WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND

    who gives a shit anyway
    Debbie

  94. beanie says:

Finally! counting on you Demi to bring the recovery (gain weight get a new fab role)..let all women see that you don’t need a douche like him. Be he 25 or 50.

  95. lucy2 says:

Figured that was coming sooner or later.
Typical of Ashton to be passive on accepting any blame. Though I wouldn’t be surprised if the open marriage stuff was true, but his fooling around became too public.
Demi, you’re 3 and out. No more marriage. Find a nice guy and fall in love again, great, but you’ve already put your divorce lawyer’s kids through college.

  96. hatekyle says:

marriage is the most difficult thing to douchebags like you ashton. you should have not gotten married in the first place. you don’t have a backbone -just bones. now go write your bathtub diaries and milk it for all it’s worth! stupid!

  97. Criss says:

Ashton, Marriage is only difficult when you are not 100% committed to the person you are married to. Otherwise you don’t do anything that might hurt your spouse or your marriage. You should not have married her if you want to be a playboy. You conned her.

  98. Manuela says:

    im not surprised at all
somekind of commercial deal but love between them nop i didnt believe
    so it s fact
she always can find -buy another boytoy and dont play marriage things

  99. hatekyle says:

i guess the producers made the right choice picking you for two and a half men…you are the half man!

  100. woopidoo says:

    good for her!

  101. TP says:

    AK is a creep

    #winning!

  102. Amanda G says:

I always thought they were an odd couple anyway. Hopefully Demi can move on and find a mature man.

  103. santacruz says:

I feel Ashton was the the hapless victim of demi’s overriding obsession with him. She took on a young, immature manboy, it was always going to end unhappily for her. That being said, demi has shown herself to be a self absorbed fame whore, who needs to display a bit of maturity herself.

  104. xploxite says:

good for him it’s about time. she cheated on him first with one of his friends.

  105. Riri says:

So now his people are trying to make us believe that she cheated?

Well, until I see a name this is just a pathetic attempt by a caught cheater to smear her wife (ex-wife soon).

We know for sure that he cheated because there’s a name attached to the rumors.
Name, a place a real thing that happened in the world.

However, just spearding rumors she slept with a friend of his?

    Lame attempt at best.
IF that story if true where is the proof and who is that friend?

  106. Mrs. Odie says:

Marriage didn’t stick it’s unwrapped penis in a 22 year old party girl, Ashton Kutcher did.

  107. islandwalker says:

A number of people have mentioned that Demi cheated on Bruce back in the day but I can’t find any stories on that from THEN, only rumors from the present day bloggers. Can anyone post a link to the original rumors or are they just todays fodder?

On Assh and demi- they are both lucky to be rid of the other.

  108. Orange Cone says:

The Douche is probably already celebrating his new single status.

  109. Adrien says:

Gosh, Demi just can’t stop being deep, like she’s being quoted by Oprah or something. Love, love, love Demi, but she got to stop being Maya Angelou on twitter.

I was actually rooting for this couple. I’ve seen them around and you can sense they truly love each other. I don’t know why Ashton became a douche.

  110. Funnylilou says:

@debbie: it’s actually the other way around, Bruce willis cheated on her with a stripper, younger lookalike of her.She gone publicly through hell, especially because her mom was dyaing at that same time so she interrupted her career and went living in Montana far from hollywood.
    That poor woman.
She actually get encouraged by the men who cheated on her to think that younger is better… maybe that’s why she try to run desperatly after her youth.

  111. Christine says:

Significant age differences rarely work long term.

  112. Funnylilou says:

@Christine: Do you think the same for Brad Pitt and Angelina with 11 years? or for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes with the same age gap than ashton and demi or for Liam Neeson 60 marrying a 36 yrs old or is it only when then women is older?

  113. OriginalGracie says:

@Debbie: and Bruce Willis cheated on her, too. So what’s your point?

  114. Jules says:

Did anyone ever really think that this marriage would last?? I bet THEY didn’t even think it would.

  115. victoria says:

He’s a Douche. Flush and be done.

  116. Sue says:

Who saw this coming 6 years ago…… Now she can lay off the surgeries to look younger and hopefully relax…..

  117. poopie says:

@lamplighter : ASHTON KARDASHIAN ! of course! too funny !!! wait… is he too old for kylie or kimmey or whatever the younger spawn are named

  118. Rhiley says:

I am actually kind of interetsed to see if he stays with Kabballah. I don’t know why I care but Ashton wearing the red bracelet and spouting new agey crap just seemed so put on. And what is going to happen to their darling tax shelter. Oh and will Demi keep up her twitter obsession… So much to look forward to.

  119. Jessica says:

She need to get back with her babies daddy, BRUCE WILLIS!!! (I know its not possible – but one can WISH)

  120. Sassy says:

Wonder if they had a prenup? They reside in California, a community property state, so 6 years of earnings and acquisition will be devided equally unless prenup says otherwise. His earnings from Two and a half men haven’t been earned yet, unless he got the $$ up front.

  121. kel says:

Once this is over I hope she will relax, put on a little weight, spend time with her family, and just forget about having to keep up with this idiot who was only playing house until he got bored. I’m amazed it took him six years. What goes around, comes around and he’ll get what he deserves eventually.

  122. Miranda says:

Like I read somewhere else, her statement doesn’t come across as if her marriage ended because she’s to old, it comes across that her marriage ended because he’s to young.

  123. Maritza says:

I just hope she doesn’t start dating to quick, for her own sake.

  124. Bobby the K says:

She reminds me of the old Woody Allen joke: ‘I was dating this girl for awhile, but she screwed around on me, so I dumped her’

  125. blabla says:

    FINALLY!

  126. PiperB says:

Good riddance. She should have known this would happen anyway. Hollywood men and woman cheat on their partners even when they are the same age (as do we non Hollywood people). I never date a younger guy, who wants that blow when they get bored?

  127. Angel says:

Good for her. It just took some time to prepare herself, but she didn’t fail herself or her daughters in the long run, which is, in fact, what’s important. No hate or judgment from me, just happy and relieved for her; he would have never learned with this one.
