Back in October, Page Six had a suspicious little article about Stacy Keibler and how she had not-so-casually jacked up her “appearance fee” ever since she added “George Clooney’s girlfriend” to her resume. Many celebrities, both major and minor, will make an appearance at your event, your club opening, your budget awards ceremony, or your birthday party if you pay them. Before Clooney, Stacy was making $10,000 for appearances – and in October, she jacked her rate up to $25,000. There’s still no word as to whether Stacy is giving Clooney a special rate.
Anyway, Stacy has been doing more solo events lately, even traveling internationally to make appearances, and I’m guessing her rate has gone up again. The subject of “money” is always tricky when it comes to George Clooney and his ladies – he never likes for them to be too successful. He wants them to make a profit, sure, and he helps find them “jobs” but it’s not like he’s dating girls with MBAs or real, stand-alone careers anything. So In Touch Weekly has an interesting story about how much money Stacy is making now, and how Clooney keeps buying her all of these gifts:

“He’s going all-out,” his friend says. “He’s spending around $100,000 on her gifts!”

“On top of being gorgeous…” Easy, Cray-Cray. I just can’t believe another girl is falling for the same old Clooney move! Sarah Larson became a “model” when she dated Clooney – and after he dumped her, she had to go back to hostessing (“escorting”) in Vegas. Elisabetta got “modeling” jobs too – and Clooney even bought her an acting gig on Leverage. And now look how far Eli has fallen – screaming fights with a C-list actor that she was probably bearding for. I’ve said it before – I hope Stacy is saving her money. I hope she’s putting together a nice little nest egg, and I hope she asks for receipts for all of Clooney’s gifts. Because once she gets dumped, the offers are no longer going to be “rolling in.”

I actually kind of like this one. She seems down to earth in a way that the last one didn’t. So she’s upped her fee? Probably because she now brings in more publicity for whoever is hiring her than she did before, thanks George. I’m sure she knows her time is limited, but I have the sneaking suspicion that this one is smart enough to make better use of the networking time than the last few did.
I’m actually liking her a whole lot more than Clooney right now, he was my fantasy man for a long time but I’m so over him.
Stacy may be a low talent opportunist but at least she’s a happy little gold digger, I’ve never seen her in a bad mood or scowling like Canalis. Stacy seems to be really enjoying and appreciating her 15mins ride on the Clooney merry-go-round.

They use each other. He gets his arm candy and she goes from D-list to A-list. They deserve each other. She probably thinks she is the one that will change Clooney. As long as she doesn’t demand to much of him she will be around.
I think he has been living in a bubble for so many years he doesn’t know what a real relationship with a woman is. He is a humanitarian, but flaunts his wealth at the same time by buying expensive gifts for these young girls and parading them around town.
I know I am just a common working gal, but I am refusing to spend my hard earned money on one of his movies, so he can provide a lifestyle for these girls. He is getting tiresome.

I agree. I can ALMOST stomach her in casual attire, but watching her attempts to pull off the red carpet glam routine is painful at best. All GC’s relationships seem like sequels to Pretty Woman.
It’s smart of her to make more money while she can, the fact that she’s taking appearance fees suggests to me she knows she needs to make bank while she can. Good for her.
The whole thing is weird to me. Why does George Clooney have to parade his girlfriends around like a new object? He should not get into this media game and just let his work speak for himself. It brings him down to be photographed eveywhere with these famewhores. Clearly Kiebler just loves the spotlight. Why would she show up to premieres and events that have nothing to do with her? I would respect Clooney more if he didn’t get into this nonsense.
Hard to believe in three years the ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ has been reduced to ‘Mr. Disgusting’. The Italian drug him down and Kiebler finished him off. He should go back to dating Vegas cocktail waitresses.
But why would anyone pay her to show up at any event is totally beyond me. I guess I don’t understand why people want to spend time at an event with someone who is just getting paid to attend. But looks like an easy way to make a living.
There is no law that a woman cannot pimp off a man – if Stacy has raised her appearance fees from $5000 to $25,000 just because the media is so hungry for Clooney-gossip, its because she can …. even if it reeks of prostitution
