Heidi Klum’s incredible Halloween costume

Heidi Klum has long admitted to being obsessed with Halloween. She always has amazing costumes and really goes all-out. This year she dressed up as an incredible six armed Hindu Goddess. Her costume is one of the most elaborate ones I’ve ever seen. Heidi’s party sounds like a ton of fun and has some great pictures.

Heidi Klum kept up tradition on Friday night by hosting her annual spook fest at Big Apple hotspot One OAK. While the soiree wasn’t quite as scary as last year (Britney Spears showed up amid her breakdown in a leopard-skin bikini) it drew a fun flock of a famous people and people who well, at least dressed up as someone famous. (We saw a very interesting “Anderson Cooper” in short, tight lycra bikeshorts, a promiscuous “Palin” and plenty of masked “Wacko Jacko’s”).

Punk princess Pink cruised around as a clown (and was overheard complaining that she was too short standing next to super-tall supermodel Klum) while Jessica Alba attempted to go incognito in a long blonde wig as she and beau Cash Warren (in an afro) sipped some strong cocktails with BFF Jamie King until the wee hours of the morning.

Of course, the belle of the ball was Heidi herself who went all-out as a Hindu Goddess with 6 arms (each carrying swords) severed heads and jewels while her man Seal was a tribal King complete with a braided goatee and some hair on that normally bald head.

The Daily News]noted that Heidi was getting pretty hot and uncomfortable by the end of the night. “When Nelly’s ‘Hot in Herre’ started playing Heidi began singing, ‘It’s gettin’ hot in here. I want to take my arms off.’ Sadly I couldn’t find any pictures of the guy dressed as Anderson Cooper. I’m guessing that really just involves some gray hair dye, but bike shorts are helpful too. I’ll also note that Pink really made the rounds on Halloween – she was photographed in the same clown getup at Bette Midler’s party.

AWESOME interpretation of the Hindu goddess Kali. But I can’t tell in the pictures if she has her traditional severed heads and trident.

    Seriously badass.

  2. vdantev says:

God bless the idle rich and their needless displays of superior wealth for us weary proles to aspire to.

  3. Jen (the other one) says:

I think she was sporting a belt of severed heads, actually. Don’t know for sure about the trident…

  4. Rhianna says:

Is this her way of announcing what country she and Seal will be moving to if Americans elect someone they don’t like? Or, does she just wish she could be as cool, revered and loved as Kali? 🙄

  5. Anni says:

Heidi comes from a region in Germany, where Fasching/Mardi Gras/carnival is HUGE…like a fifth season. No wonder she loves to dress up.

  6. xiaoecho says:

how uninspired do you have to be to come as wonderwoman

  7. Dariana says:

Oh, she’s always over the top! I would do my best too if I were the owner of the entire party 😀 I just love how this couple manages to maintain a certain level of wackiness!!!

  8. kate says:

awesome costume. i am jealous of that one!

  9. Diva says:

She has the severed head, but I can’t see a trident.

    That costume is gorgeous.

    I love Halloween!

  10. geekaziod says:

Must have been a hassel just to put that thing on!

  11. Allie says:

Heidi’s costume was FIERCE! The one girl in the “cat” costume, (not sure just who that is?) …..how lame! Make a little bit of effort, than just wearing ears and painting your nose.

  12. tigerlille says:

Only the magnificent Heidi could impersonate the wild, blood thirsty Kali Ma!

  13. tigerlille says:

Oh vdantev, I don’t think Heidi can be classified as the IDLE rich…

  14. Kaiser says:

    Incredible. 😛 😯

I find Heidi Klum’s costume highly offensive. The Hindu community holds its deity’s in very high regard and do not trivialize and degrade their importance by dressing up as them and participating in dance or drinking alcohol. People dressing up as Jesus or the Pope for Halloween might be accepted by the Xtian masses, but I assure you, this is highly offensive and unacceptable to the Hindu masses.

  16. Rhianna says:

Guest, shh! Queen Heidi can never be questioned on her decisions. She’s prefect, at least in her own delusional mind.

As a pagan I fully understand what you’re saying though. Sorry such a crap head lives in the US and that they’re so distasteful to other religions they don’t understand or comprehend.

  17. jj says:

Oh please Guest and your double standards. Please go to Bengal and walk along the river banks, you will find a lot of street entertainers dressed up as Kali, Shiva, Ganesh and what not and dancing around, smoking and earning their money from tourists.

Just because Heidi did it, it became offensive…….get real!

  18. rbsesq says:

Thanks, jj. I couldn’t have said it better.

Yeah Guest . . . you can’t walk anywhere in India without wallahs trying to hock pictures, posters and statues of traditional Hindu deities.

Not to mention the “Brahmin” who will bless you (whether you want it or not!) on your travels – and then promptly hold his hand out for a donation (10 Rs doesn’t cut it, apparently). Oh! Or the “Sadhus” who will pose with you for pictures for a nominal fee – the “suggested” price is 200 Rs.

I was even invited to go to a Temple Festival in Mamallapureum where our hosts fed us a traditional dinner and dressed me in a traditional sari – at the event, stage performers dressed in elaborate traditional clothing . . . and danced to Britney Spears’ “Opps I Did It Again!” (the crowd went nuts).

I’m just saying it’s all relative. For better or worse, India is rapidly becoming Westernized and various aspects of her unique culture are going to be emulated by those in the West. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery – and I’ve met thousands of wallahs and touts who are perfectly willing to sell a little piece of the Hindu mysticism to curious gorehs, any day of the week.

Guest got run down. Better luck next time, my dear.

  21. David says:

Wow, I would have to say you were pretty creative and did an excellent job with your Halloween Costume. So what is the plan this fall?

  22. Fancy Dress says:

Are you sure that’s Heidi Klum?

  23. 90k1 says:

as an indian i agree with guest’s comment ..it is highly offensive that heidi dressed up as a kali.JJ i know in india you will find street entertainer dressed up as a durga, kali and lot more but they all are indian and they respect their religion..on the other hand heidi is not an indian, she does not have any right to make fun of our god that we worship on a daily basis. If any indian person will dress up as a jesus on a halloween what are you going to think ?
