A while ago, CB and I issued a temporary ban on LeAnn Rimes and Brandi Glanville stories, just because the commenting and bitching back-and-forth was getting a little cray-cray. Eventually, we returned to covering them, and many commenters made a concerted effort to dial down the crazy. But it has returned. So, this is your notice – please dial it down. Please don’t expound with pro or anti-LeAnn conspiracy theories and bully and mock other people who don’t share your views. Ordinarily, I would be fine with just letting you guys work it out however you want, but there have been complaints, and even I think you guys are going overboard. You can still snipe and bitch about these C-list celebrities, but just dial down the commenter-on-commenter hate.
Mostly, I don’t want to do a temporary ban on LeAnn stories because I actually enjoy writing about her and her insanity. We have new photos of LeAnn in Aspen – with a FRIEND! LeAnn has FRIENDS, y’all! Here she is, walking around Aspen in a pair of ill-fitting hot pink ski pants with an actual, honest-to-God female friend. Who is this girl? How does maintain a friendship with someone like LeAnn? She must be exhausted.

Oh, and I checked LeAnn’s Twitter to see if she was having any hissy fits in Aspen, and I couldn’t find anything scandalous. But! She tweeted something about meeting Perry Farrell!!!!! Jesus take the wheel. Perry Farrell, Rock God, Jane’s Addiction, etc. THAT Perry Farrell. And LeAnn met him. Ugh.

She seems abit young to be Brandi’s friend. Why would a 25ish woman want to hang out with someone who is almost 40? Has anyone noticed that Brandi’s friends are always significantly younger than her? They look more like party pals than real friends. Brandi doesn’t seem to have a single friend who is of a similar age, but than again she does act like 20 year old valley girl.

Eileen, the only thing I have said about Jezi is what she has already told us – that she is a friend of Brandi. And because she is a friend her posts are subjective vs. most of the other commentors who don’t know LeAnn or Brandi. Sorry, that is not discrediting, that is pointing out the obvious. As for discrediting commentors and calling people crazy, all I can say is u have mixed up ur commentors, however, if u are so convinced of ur allegation, feel free to repost any of my previous comments to prove ur point.
As for throwing out information only someone invested in the drama would do, I do know how to use google and that’s how I got my info on Eddie’s last acting job, LeAnn’s career, as well as net worth of each. I’ve watched Eddie since his Young and Restless days (20 years ago), and I loved Third Watch which he was on for 5 years. LeAnn has been in the spotlight for years and has a gorgeous voice. That is the extent of my personal knowledge of either one. Other than that, all my comments have been my opinion on the story or participants involved. Again, sorry if u can’t handle that.

Well, Eddie did cheat on Brandi with significantly younger women. And he ended up with LeAnn, who is nearly ten years his junior. So what does that say about HIS maturity level? I don’t get the sense that whoever that woman is (Liz?) is young. Maybe young-ish. Too much plastic surgery.

Rumor had it in the begining that LeAnn had her choice of male leads for the movie where they met. Everything that happened before and after that movie tells me LeAnn went after Eddie before even meeting him.
She was never out of Dean’s sight until she instructed him to stay away from the set. The photogs arrived at the hotel for the sex romp before LeAnn and Eddie arrived. Who set up that?
LeAnn is a pathological liar, but while Eddie denied the affair LeAnn only said, “It’s not all black and white”. Nobody would recognise them in a dark restaurant but the finger-sucking tape shows up at a USMagazine.
LeAnn’s finger sucking fingers were all over this from day one. Eddie thought of her as just another teenage piece before realizing he’d been set up and sucked into the black hole that is LeAnn Rimes and her accomplices.

Vesper, I respectfully disagree. There was no need to take the boys on a vacation that included a bunch of “friends” and where they were the only kids that I’ve seen yet in photos. Within 1-2 days of them arriving (carefully documented in the press) they were photographed without the boys. Xmas is a time for family, and I would hate not to spend the holidays with family (I’m in an interfaith marriage, so we do both). It seems unnecessary, at best, to drag the boys along on a skiing trip. You see them with L/E on the beach at adult parties and you see them on skiing trips with family friends for about 5 minutes until the papping is over- not once do you see them at any kid friendly venues or with their own friends or even peers their own ages. This kind of trip is more of a New Year’s trip, IMO. People are beginning to see the actual proof of what’s going on, which means it’s not propaganda. I’m not quick to believe anyone, much less celebrities (they lie as much, if not more than, politicians) but there is an absolute ring of truth to this sad story and there is evidence as well.

When the same two or three posters continue to argue, could these posts be removed/edited? It is a waste of time and annoying to read through the garbage to get to the intelligent and funny comments. Honestly, I think Leann had convinced him to go along with the arranged paparazzi shoots, because for him it’s some extra money and spiting Brandi (who I think he would have stayed with if his affair hadn’t been publicly revealed, Leann hadn’t been so determined to catch him, and Brandi hadn’t dumped him), but for her it was always about alleviating her insecurity, and he’s getting tired of it.

I noticed, too. I have a picture of me an my old high-school boyfriend at prom (a looong time ago.) My expression is just like LR and old boyfriend looks bored like EC. We broke up the following day. Every time I see that old picture I cringe with embarressment. These pics remind me of that.

cmc & hyena- yes, I often am embarrassed w/the amount I’ve learned about them over the years, but I am definitely not obsessed, and I think a lot of us are just fascinated by the things that Leann does, so it’s a fun escape–much like a soap opera, which many people watch religiously.
I do totally detest when people attack other posters outright and make it personal, though. A debate (see: Duggars) is fine, but there are definitely times when I’ve felt the negativity was
out of control on this site, but that’s going to happen everywhere when people can post anonymously. Indeed, I find that the majority of posts on CB are actually really rational and even smart. It is one reason that I enjoy CB so much (though it’s double edged sometimes!). 😉

As a foreigner I just can’t understand why this woman is famous. She’s a reality show star or something?
Sadly, she actually has a really great voice and is a singer, but she uses that as a means to act as if she is better than everyone, and she made herself more famous when she stalked her now husband while they were both married. There’s so much more to it, and I’m both disgusted and fascinated by the continuous drama. She has Narcissistic Personality Disorder, so the crazy is never ending.
Oh, sweetie, would were that true. (Because reality stars eventually disappear.) She was a sort-of vocal child prodigy (I guess) who was a country singer and recorded her first hit at like 14. It was called “Blue.” (Think a country version of Britney Spears. Minus her staying power.)
Leann is famous for being a country music singer. She’s been famous for a very long time actually for her singing career. Unfortunately she’s now more famous for cheating on her then husband with a married man a few years back, and then they ended up together when both their spouses dumped them. The scandal was very public because they were “caught” by a gossip magazine meeting at hotels, with pictures and all. It’s just my opinion, but I feel she’s traded this scandalous life over her music career, which is not too smart as she actually is talented, and this “man” isn’t worth it. Also, I’m not a fan of her behavior toward his ex-wife and their kids.

What bugs me is that nothing seems to actually change any actions; the cyberbullying continues, and Brandi hands her sons over on Xmas Day so that they can sit around with a nanny while L&E play tonsil hockey for money.

Yup, it’s so normal to have intimate details regarding custody agreements, comments eddie made to his ex-wife and to create timelines of events.
There’s a serious level of hate towards Leann that is unhealthy. Brandi clearly feeds into and all the BBs gladly eat it up because they are happy a zlist celebrity is paying attention to them.
It’s not natural to vicously attack and spread this level of hate against celebrities whether good people or not.
Brandi needs to be papped in a hot bikini ASAP so leanns head can explode. Maybe text it to Eddie. Lol

Ok Ok, I know I am a dork, but these are my favorite stories; we get to see a truly crazy celebrity and she’s not even pretending to hide it!
Anywho my point is, that yesterday, one of the commenters said this was going to happen! he said that the first pics were not staged (hence, EC looking so miserable), and that they brought in Liz (who is supposedly having an affair with EC) to keep EC happy and pose for the second set of pics.
Of course, no clue if this is true, but by god, it sure is interesting!
Never been to Aspen but it sure doesn’t look like a place to bring children for the winter season holidays. You have to be kidding me. I have been to Aspen several times and with families. I must have been imagining all those kids as ours were being fitted for ski rentals and the bunny slopes are loaded with kids.
Aspen does have a wild side, but wild things are going to happen anywhere where people with money are. I don’t see what expensive clothing or high-end shops has to do with anything; there’s not a problem with children being around those things or places.
Aspen is a beautiful place, has beautiful surroundings, and great activities. It’s just fine for families.

All the same, yesterday’s comment frenzy was creepy. I posted quite late yesterday (thanks for the feedback Brin) but if what I saw was anything like what the ‘twitter bullying battle’ is like, yikes. I get to gawk for amusement but I can’t even begin to imagine having it be an active force in my life. The Leann & Co. as cyber bullies story seems to ring true. Take a look at today’s new post at the LynnNChicago blog for screen shots of various twitter members who are all directly connected to Leann Rimes. Celebitchy, you are definitely right to issue your warning to anyone here who comments with what appears to be uncontrolled venom. However, I hope you will not pass up the opportunity to investigate what looks more and more like a genuine news story — i.e., cyber bullies and stalkers who appear to be led by and connected to a wealthy celebrity, a celebrity who is spending a lot of time with the children of the apparent stalking victim due to a custody agreement. If this cyber bully/stalking story is true, and it appears to be as more documentation is revealed every day, then the real story of what is behind the photos you share with us is indeed more dark and vile than any comments here.

The story needs to be investigated and covered — instead of the non-stop coverage of Leann’s fashion/style faux pas and poor album sales and Eddie’s failed t.v. roles, not to mention their bizarre PDA at the kid’s soccer game. All of that stuff falls into the “What do you expect, they’re celebrities…” But the cyber bully/stalking stuff is serious. Needs serious coverage/exposure in media!

I totally agree. The mainstream media seems hell bent on ignoring the real story about Rimes – the cyber bullying followed up by the ludicrous behaviour of her songwriter friend who likened the treatment of Rimes to the Jews in the holocaust. Why wasn’t that a headline story? Who cares about this so-called and obvious fair weather “friend”? Its obvious the writers here read the comments so on that basis they should have known who the “friend” is since she’s been identified several times by commentators. How long does anyone think these two would stay together if they didn’t have the tabloid exposure? Imagine no tabloid coverage – neither of their careers are going anywhere – they would turn on each other in a New York minute! The unfavourable coverage unites them – take away all coverage and see how long they last. It must stick in Eddie’s craw that the woman he betrayed has taken the lemons he dished out and carved herself a bigger spot in the spotlight than he ever had and its all thanks to his betrayel and Rimes constant bullying of Brandi! I hope Brandi continues to ignore them because engaging with them provides media coverage – her refusal to engage with them or their bullying partners starves them of the oxygen of publicity and that is the best way form of retribution possible in my opinion.
As a commentor who was frequently bullied about my opinions on every LeAnn/Eddie/Brandi thread, I found the venomous mocking/bullying was always from pro-Brandi commentors.
Well, I honestly have not seen brandi bash anyone, ever. However, I have no doubt it has occurred. Maybe clicking the link I showed would help you see, however, the absolute viciousness leann and her minions are using towards Brandi- it’s literally as bad as those teenagers who caused a girl to kill herself. I feel like they should actually be held criminally responsible for this atrociousness and be made an example of; abuse is never ok, especially after you stole someone’s husband!

I dont understand why being anti-brandi means one is pro-leann. To me, both sides have behaved horribly. EL cheated, they love press. Brandi drove drunk, she’s on a real housewives show. They both have involved fans, media and spread personal details. One of them needs to grow up and stop. On this website, Brandi’s Bunch has taken things much too far. It sucks.
If pretty obvious untrue statements are made, like several made up above, then I don’t think it’s hard to figure out why people then defend those things with truth.
But that can get out of hand. The constant accusations of sockpuppet accounts has also gotten realllllly tiring, agreed.

Hyena, like it being said earlier that Brandi doesn’t have “ANY” friends her age, and correlating that to being a party girl. It doesn’t take much following of Brandi to see who her BFFs are in real-life, and it’s obvious, by sight, or with googling, that all those people are near her age. So it is just stupid, IMO, to throw out statements like that, with no factual basis, and then say: I have no agenda.
I think later, the correlation was made that the poster’s opinion is that she’s immature, so she must not have any friends her age. (huge leap in logic there), and, again, not true.
So I think it’s disingenuous to act shocked that people come out defensive, after making w/no basis in fact, just to insult someone.

Sad to hear that two more people jumped ship. However, correct me if I am wrong, but it seems Brandi had/has alot of friends and most stuck with her. Perhaps, some people choose to remain “neutral” but seems Brandi won out. Hope I am not wrong.
I don’t know what’s worse, knowing your a paid friend to someone who really is just interested in you in order to spite someone, or having a friend whose way you always have to pay and whose main interest in you is monetary and hopes to gain fame.

Yep and most her age. All of them have been in her life for many years. I have friends that are older and younger and some my age. What difference does that make? Loyalty is what matters.
Karma, I brought up age because from the clips I’ve seen on HWOBH as well as info/pics from gossip rags and interviews, Brandi seems very immature, like I said earlier, like a 20 year old valley girl, and thus she hangs out with much younger girls. BTW, I did NOT say her friends are pretty, and I don’t believe they are so the “jealous” comment is unwarranted. However, now that u have gone down that path, I will add that it APPEARS that Brandi’s main concern is her appearance (and sex), and as such I would expect her to surround herself with friends she judges to be pretty just as she likely only dates pretty men. Brandi seems to be all about appearances and having fun.

Karma, I don’t follow the modelling world so I am unaware of the names u mention. However, the gossip rag pics I do have access to (as well as one clip on youtube) shows Brandi hanging/clubbing in what looks like Beverly Hills, and those girls are not pretty, neither is the one who appeared on HWOBH to support Brandi during her party. Besides, “pretty” is relative. For example, I don’t think Brandi is pretty (although she has an amazing body), u do.
As for other blogs not liking LeAnn, I just checked out Perez Hilton’s blog for the first time a few days ago, and the majority of comments were anti-Brandi.

Ok, call me Alice (no really, I was encouraged to change my handle by the Witness Protection Program) but I sometimes feel like I dropped down the Rabbit Hole of Insanity after reading some of the comments! I just can’t understand the passion these “celebrities” inspire! This isn’t Eddie/Liz/Richard after all!
On the Ladder of Celebrity, Eddie/LeAnn/Brandi are basically one rung above the contestants on The Price is Right. Its like caring about the Desperate Lounge Singer/Sleazy Bartender/Topless Waitress at your local nudie bar, located in the Budget Hotel, where the show is so cheap, the girls take turns wearing Anistons donated used hair extensions!
On the upside, I think LeAnn is singing at our county fair this year. She is up right after the “Catch the Slippery Pig” contest. But of course Eddie can shower afterwards!

After yesterday’s crazy (first I’d ever read) I figured it might be *because* they’re Z List that people are so invested. No way would Liz Taylor or any real A Lister have directly corresponded or even met socially with fans – yet these ones appear to really interract, especially via twitter. They’re accessible, so these posters can, in this small way, be connected with famous people, which probably gives a bit of a zing. As someone upthread said, when you have people commenting that know (or even think they know) these people it gets a lot more personal. My 2c.
I was going to say I don’t think Leann has to worry about Eddie “hittin’ that ugly as hell side piece” (Liz) but then I remembered… he’s with Leann.. sooo obviously his standards (since being booted by Brandi) are not all that high. Franny-its very easy to do. Just tweet her accusing her of something she really did and that will scare her enough to try to shut you up or open up a blog and write a negative story on her. Having seen the TwitDoc here in which LeAnn and her minions refer to Brandi as Old Bitter Bitch, I immediately flashed back to Freshman English class:

I’m in my 30s and one of my closest friends is in her late 40s and I cherish her wisdom. And you’re seriously going to imply that LeAnn is not all about outward appearances- plastic surgery, obsessive working out and dieting, insults based on someone’s looks? I can’t speak for anyone, but I know that as someone who is not a BB but who feels sympathy for Brandi, it would be nice if L/minions stopped harassing and cyberbullying her, backed off her kids, and let the kids grow up in a relatively peaceful environment.

I find the escape so fun, and I feel like this site has the most intelligent commenters of any blog I have seen.
I personally do not feel that the comments back and forth about the Leann articles are degrading to the website in any way. I think the celebitchy hosts are over-reacting.
I feel that Leann and Eddie are such disgusting and immoral individuals, that it is absolutely necessary to keep this forum going. This is one of the only places that gives a reality check to their shockingly horrendous, vain, pathetic behavior.
When I see any commentors that defend Leann and Eddie, for example, JCH, Vesper, and Hyena, I do completely, automatically KNOW that these people are in fact Leanne herself, or her paid staff.
The reason I feel this way is simple: it’s because Leann and Eddie are utterly indefensible. No objective person in their right mind would ever be on Leanne and eddies side, or even say something along the lines of … “well, both sides did some wrong”, or “they seem to happy now and really in love so let’s move past this…”
