Ashley Greene was a total bitch when she deigned to film episodes for ‘Pan Am’

These are photos of Ashley Greene from late November in NYC, when she was filming several episodes of ABC’s budget-Mad Men show, Pan Am. Funny story about Pan Am – they stopped airing the show in December, and ABC claims that they’ll finish airing the season in January, but after that, it’s looking more and more like the show is being canceled. Anyway, before Pan Am’s producers figured out that ABC wasn’t going to support the show for very much longer, the producers decided to hire world-famous movie star Ashley Greene to “guest star” in a three-episode arc. The same Ashley Greene who is a legend in her own mind, and who conjures a litany of “WHO?” from great swathes of non-Twihards. So, with that in mind, enjoy this story of Ashley acting like a C-U-Next-Tuesday while deigning to grace a peasanty television show.

The skies aren’t so friendly with Ashley Greene around! Greene is ruffling feathers on the set of Pan Am – clashing with cast and crew during filming of her three-episode arc on the struggling TV show.

“Ashley came rolling on to the set acting like a queen bee,” an insider tells Star. “She was stuck-up with the crew and acted like appearing on TV amounted to slumming. She referred to herself as a ‘real movie star,’ and said she was sure her guest stint would boost ratings.”

And while she publicly gushed about guest-starring on the ABC drama, Ashley was completely cold to her costars.

“Ashley didn’t want to socialize with Christina Ricci or Kelli Garner, the stars of the show,” the source says. “They had organized a welcome lunch for Ashley, but she blew them off. That was extremely off-putting to everyone.”

[From Star Magazine, print edition]

“She referred to herself as a ‘real movie star’.” << That’s what sealed it for me. That sounds like Ashley. She probably couched it in something equally terrible too, like, “Oh, I expected more from craft services, but then I get treated so well on all of the films that I’m starring in. Because I’m a real movie star, you know.” I would compare her to Gwyneth Paltrow, but I have to admit – I don’t even think Dame Gwyneth is this bad.

PS… The combination of costume, hair and makeup just proves that Ashley really isn’t that pretty. To me, at least. She only looks good at certain angles, and with a certain hairstyle.

    Really bad nose job.

  2. Sophie says:

    yup. seems about right.

  3. emma says:

Story sounds fake. Ashley seems like a sweet diva. She’s nice but high maintenance. It makes people want this type of story to be true.

    • JaneWonderfalls says:

I have to agree, I’m neutral toward AG, but I realize many people on CB hate her, but I don’t believe this story for her to prefer to herself as a “real movie star”, and she hasn’t even been in a lead role is just ridiculous, I’m not saying she can’t be a bitch but I don’t believe this article. She is by no means a Joan Crawford!

  4. GoodCapon says:

ARe her nostrils really like that? They look unequal.

  5. annaloo. says:

    Damn her neck looks thick!

  6. Kaboom says:

To quote Peter Dragon: “He doesn’t like it”.

  7. Dani says:

Hmm, have never seen the show and I am not familiar w/Ashley. “Mad Men” does the 60’s garb much better. Ashley looks like she is playing dress-up and does not carry this off well. Can’t say that bodes well for her career as a famous movie star.

Don’t any of you fashion icons get a smart idea to bring back the pointy bra either. Geez, a girl could take out an eye w/that undergarment.

  8. - says:

This is so untrue. I worked on the Pan Am set and I thought Ashley was so nice and friendly! She was extremely down to earth when I talked to her, she even signed the script for my daughter! I would link to it but I’m not sure if that’s allowed here. She actually came off a bit shy and nervous and the crew were working on easing her tension a bit and she seemed very appreciative.

And as far as I know she doesn’t have any scenes with Kelli Garner, and she hasn’t filmed her single scene with Christina Ricci yet. So that last bit about them not socializing together is very unlikely since I doubt they had the chance to, at all.

    • - says:

let’s try attaching her autograph http://i.imgur.com/T87Nf.jpg
Hope it works, she was so sweet!

      • normades says:

Are you a PR flack? I’ve never seen you on these boards before and I always get really suspicious when I see someone “new” defending a certain celeb.

Also I know quite a few people who work “behind the scenes” in hwood, but they could care less about going on gossip sites to defend celebs. Also taking a picture of the script seems a little over the top to me…

      • setdec says:

        That’s a call sheet, not a script.

      • JuliaDomna says:

What on earth is that autograph supposed to prove?

      • normades says:

        That she’s a Twihard.

      • Nicola says:

        @says,

Since you seem to “know” Ashley (I’m actually laughing), do you have any high school pictures of her (you crazy stans usually do). Her nose really bothers me. Which is weird, because I generally could care less about noses, but her’s doesn’t fit her face. I was wondering if she had it tweaked. I won’t be throwing shade at her either way, but during the Twilight movies, I spend her screen time staring at her nose. It’s so troublesome -my staring, not her nose. Her nose is just odd.

I know I could just Google it, but she probably tracks her Google rankings, and I don’t want to give Ashley any false hope.

    • Franny says:

I always forget that people who might actually know these celebrities read the blogs. Living in the midwest, we become “attached” to celebrities and feel that we know them since we read so much about them…but there are people out there that actually have met them. i mean, I know they are just people, but its still bizarre.

    • T.C. says:

@says: We can smell a PR shill around here quicker than you can say “no talent”. Please tell Ashley for us that she should get her ass to acting class instead of caring what a gossip site says about her. This is pathetic but be sure to say hi to the queen for us.

      • normades says:

Actually a PR flack would have been more subtle imo. I think this is someone who is either A. A twihard B. worked in a very menial position on set (like food service or something).

My point above was that people who really are “behind the scenes” are too busy and completely not into going to gossip sites. When I beg my hair/make-up friends to tell me stories they just roll their eyes at me 🙂

  9. Carolyn says:

As a successful actress one has to be adaptable and transcend different types of productions and blend into character. As these photos show, Ashley does look like she’s raided a costume box. Compare this to how the Mad Men actors “are” their characters and totally own their costumes. Oh Ashley don’t bet on being a huge star once the Twilight saga fades…..

  10. J O'C says:

Christina Ricci is a MUCH bigger movie star than whatsername.

    • TG says:

Agreed I love watching Christina Ricci in movies and was surprised when I saw she was doing this show. I think she has major talent and it is interesting to see how many with talent don’t get the jobs and then those with none or limited range get all the jobs.

    • LisaMarie says:

THIS is so true. Ricci’s been in some big things in the past. Maybe she isn’t exactly box office gold material, but she’s still a working actress, emphasis on “working”. Ms Green would do we to remember that, but somehow I doubt she’ll grasp thst concept before it’s too late.

    • lilred says:

Yup, Wednesday Addams hit the big time .

    • Chrissy says:

That was one of my first thoughts as well: Christina Ricci has been in a lot more movies and is more qualified to be called a “real movie star” even if she now stars on a tv show. A few years from now Ashley will gladly star in a tv show, if it is offered. I just don’t think she’s all that great. I thought she was fairly attractive, but this costume and especially the hair are awful. And yes, her nose isn’t great but sometimes she looks pretty nice. I can buy that she’s getting an attitude, but once all these Twilight movies are over, I think she’s in for a wake-up call.

  11. Eve says:

“She referred to herself as a ‘real movie star’.” << That’s what sealed it for me. That sounds like Ashley. She probably couched it in something equally terrible too, like, “Oh, I expected more from craft services, but then I get treated so well on all of the films that I’m starring in. Because I’m a real movie star, you know.”

And to think that, not long ago, there were people here (on Celebitchy) saying she was “not as entitled as Kristen Stewart”…

    I agree with that — she’s worse.

    • Tapioca says:

Hmmm… AG calling herself a “real movie star” and blanking her fellow actresses or KS bitching about her teachers not appreciating what a super special snowflake she is and comparing having your photo taken – when she’s actively chosen to be famous, mind you – to rape?

Can we agree to disagree and pray NEITHER of these girls has a career beyond 2012?

      • Eve says:

I think they’re both awful. Talentless, annoying and self-absorbed brats, but at least Kristen Stewart can claim the “movie star” title since she is the star in that horrid franchise. I think the reason Greene may not be as bad as Stewart is simply because she plays supporting roles in movies. And if she’s already that entitled, can you imagine how she would be if she played the main role? If given the chance, I think she’d be considerably worse than Stewart.

Yes, let’s agree to disagree and hope they won’t be relevant anymore after 2012.

      • Reece says:

Although this is a tabs story so grain of salt and all.

        But…
I wonder who would have been worse her or Stewart, if she had been cast as Bella? In terms of the Tude. Or that other girl talking about not being cast as Bella. (forgot her name) I remember some people saying she has a bad rep too.

      • Lily says:

Oh please, I don’t like Stewart either but she apologized for that rape comment…Also, Johnny Depp and Mila Kunis have both made similar comments and yet people always let those two slide.

  12. TheOriginalKitten says:

“The combination of costume, hair and makeup just proves that Ashley really isn’t that pretty. To me, at least. She only looks good at certain angles, and with a certain hairstyle.”

    ITA, Kaiser.

  13. Cathy says:

I started reading this not knowing who she was, at least now I know. I’ve never seen any of the Twilight movies and I have no intention of it. What other movies has she made? I don’t think that just being in those vampire flicks makes you a real movie star.

    • Jen D says:

      @Cathy

She doesn’t even have a big role in the movies! Seriously, I couldn’t understand it after seeing them why she (or any of the others other than the three main “stars”) get so much press. I think she’s got a great PR team though.

  14. Franny says:

seriously, were bras really that pointy back then? I know I shouldn’t take Mad Men for fact, but their boobs never look quite like that!

I’m thankful to live in a time when round boobs are the norm. I’m sure in 50 years though people will be like “round boobs look so weird, we have square bras now!”

    • womanfromthenorth says:

Yes bras were like that… that’s why they burned them!

I don’t think she fills it out right tho… bad fitting. And who is she?

    • Samigirl says:

HAHA. I think the pointy breasts look is weird too. However, my husband thinks pointy breasts are hot. I think he got into his dads playboys too many times as a kiddo 😉

  15. Seal Team 6 says:

AS per my mother, yes, and they ironed them to make them even pointier.

  16. Sarah says:

Although she can be a bit proud, Ashley Greene is too much of an awkward person I find it hard to believe she’d act like this in a new environment.

  17. Seal Team 6 says:

AG has always had a rep as being very nice to her costars and fans, but Gods knows what happened to her after sleeping with a JoBro.

  18. Shelb says:

Anyone who denies she’s pretty is just petty. She’s not a stunner but really, constantly saying she’s not good looking but only good look at “certain angles” and than posting a terrible pap picture?

    • Franny says:

I don’t think 3 different pictures that are high quality pictures from a girl on a tv set in tv clothing and make-up is a “terrible pap picture”. I have never understood the commotion (in her mind) about her but to each their own.

  19. eyeroll says:

Her nose is fakeeeeee! And Christina Ricci is the only real movie star in this story. She was acting with Johnny Depp and Angelica Huston in the nineties!!

    • Coucou says:

My nose is fake, too, thank God, it was so ugly when i had it operated on, insurance covered the procedure. Her nostrils are much better refined than mine, dammit!

I think this young lady is one of the few great beauties we got going these days. Her skin is flawless! And no, i am not a camoflauged PR flack.

  20. Jover says:

She slept with a jobro – and how are their careers going?THere are just way too many of these pedestrian girls trying to fill very large shoes and they are all failing.

  21. Scarlet Vixen says:

It can be pretty cheesy, but I hope they don’t cancel Pan Am–I kinda like it. The characters are growing on me. 🙂 They’ve aired one of Ashley Greene’s episodes so far and I was pretty unimpressed–she was completely vanilla to me. But I’m not a Twihard AT ALL. UGH…

  22. SueAnn says:

Worst nose I have ever seen. I would rather have Kris Jenner’s nose.

  23. Mitch Buchanan Rocks says:

That outfit is not attractive yet Ashley carries it off with aplomb. I’m hoping Pan am is at least as good as mile high.

    • JuliaDomna says:

Aplomb! Lols. The only thing this gal wears with aplomb is a vacant expression mixed with giddiness at being papped.

  24. Reece says:

I don’t think anybody would look good with that hair from a full front shot. Look at it on her ears!

  25. Lisa1 says:

I just don’t understand the hate for AG. Why don’t you guys like her (serious question)?

  26. Rachel says:

There’s something off about her top in that picture…either the shoulder pads are too big (or are those her shoulders?) or her bust is too small for the cut of the top. As was said above, she’s not filling that bra out well (not her fault; they should have either fit it to her or gotten some good padding).

It’s interesting to see how some people inhabit clothing that was normal 50 years ago as if it were a costume. She doesn’t seem comfortable in those clothes. Also, she doesn’t seem to be wearing a girdle, which gives the skirt a weird line–however, I heard that the Mad Men women sometimes have padding under the girdle to make it look authentic, so maybe that’s what’s missing.

  27. LeManda says:

Awww I’d be sad if PanAm was cancelled. I enjoy that show. Everyone is great on it!!!

  28. Irishae says:

Her Michael Jackson nose has never been a secret to me, but good to know I’m not the only one that thinks so!

    Not attractive.

  29. TheOriginalVictoria says:

I have supported Ash until now because I respected her honesty about being a self-absorbed Hollywood climber. Now, the buck stops here.

Christina’s first three years of acting had far more notewrothy and popularity with the audience than Green herself can ever produce on her own. Who the fuck does she thinks he is?

Ricci has proven herself as an actor. And I happen to like Pan Am but knew that it wouldn’t last. People will aways compare it to Mad Men even though the only thing in common is the trend to talk about the middle of the 20th century, these days.

Ashley was not doing anyone a favor and she should be honoured to work with a reputable and fine actress such as Christina.

  30. Crimson & Clover says:

Are you kidding? Ashley Greene is *horrible*. Talk to any Twihard who follows those tours they do (I have friends who both follow them and work for them, respectively) and they’ll tell you, AG and Kellan Lutz are the *worst*. Here’s the side you choose in Hollywood:

Kristen Stewart has an awful public opinion. Half her own fandom hates her, and sites like this certainly don’t go out of the way to understand her. Like that teacher thing, there was a chick in my 8th grade class who played Young Cosette in Les Mis and was going to miss about six weeks at once, then three weeks again later, and the teachers gave her such hell for it, for no reason. Teachers that were fine to me, were bitter awful harpies to her and complained so much about how much time she’d miss and how hard it would be, to the point that her traveling tutor came in said, look, I just need to know what books she’ll be reading, that’s it, I’ll take care of everything else. She ended up leaving at the end of 8th grade and never came back because not one teacher would take literally only five minutes to say, hey, here’s my reading list. What KS said about teachers reminded me of that girl. I bet in showbiz circles, KS story is a dime a dozen and she wasn’t cursing out teachers, she just said regular school was incompatible with working in Hollywood because the teachers weren’t accomodating, which in my experience, is *true*. Anyway, she has a bad rep publicly. But within industry circles, she’s very popular. She’s known to be low-key, easy to get along with, never causes trouble, comes prepared. No director, producer or costar has ever complained about diva-like behavior, lack of work ethic, anything. She’s basically chosen to maintain a professional reputation and let the chips fall where they may with the public.

On the other side, AG works the fans and the paps to look like this super friendly all-American girl, but increasingly, tales of diva-dom and entitled tw-t behavior are getting out. The danger there is, when KS effs up, no one really expects any better. You already think she’s a stupid entitled brat, so if she acts poorly, you just go, see, she’s a stupid entitled brat. But if AG gets busted acting badly, it’s actually a disappointment/surprise because you *don’t* expect it. And in the long run, that bites you harder than being like KS. One day, KS may win you over. You never know, she might say/do something you find cool and groovy. But AG, a brat pretending to be nice, will only ever chip away at your esteem for her. That’s by far the more dangerous side to be on. People like you a lot less when you disappoint them than when they expect you to be disappointing.

    • Lily says:

Yeah, I agree. Ashley seems nice and the blogs generally tend to be kind to her. But the niceness definitely seems forced in some situations…Plus critics think she is terrible…In a way, I think Kirsten Stewart has it better…A lot of the public perception is poor but the professional perception is much better. While bloggers like to rip on her and say she can’t act, most legit critics like Ebert tend to praise her. There are a lot of people that are hated in the blogosphere and yet are successful professionally…Anyway, my point is publicly people really don’t expect much from her, like you said, so she doesn’t really have to worry about falling off a pedestal or something. Like, I worry what would happen to Taylor Swift if she ever got caught doing something or saying something that wasn’t PG rated.

    • TheOriginalVictoria says:

Just because Ashley hides her bitchiness to cast and crew doesn’t mean anything to fans. She DOES court her fans and she DOES not go out of her way to alienate her fans by calling them crazy. She wants to be a movie star and she is doing what it takes to become that.

KS wants to be anti movie star but she’s taking on big budget projects and is always whiny. I’m sorry but I refuse to believe “every” teacher failed her because they were bitter and jealous. I’m not saying it didn’t happen but I just feel there is more to the story there IMO. I just don’t understands why parents who put their kids in acting don’t put them in performance arts schools that works with their schedules to begin with.

      • Lola says:

You can say a lot about kristen Stewart but the one thing you can’t talk about is her complaining about work or her work ethic. Despite what the “Internet” thinks most of her most critical comments are usually on circumstance of her acting lifestyle and her inability to cope like her peers.

  31. irishserra says:

Are they really canceling this show? Awww… and I really like it. I saw the first episode and got sucked in. I’m not sure why. It’s not groundbreaking or anything, but I just really liked it, especially Christina Ricci’s role.

As for this report of Ashley Greene, this sounds kind of outlandish to me. Who would act like that with such a short acting history under their belt (not that it would be acceptable from anyone)? I hope it’s not true. She won’t last long in HW if she does act like this.

    • Mairead says:

I agree. i really enjoy it. Although the dialogue isn’t as sparky or interesting as Mad Men, for example, the characters are rounded and likeable.

I really can’t understand how Pan Am could be in danger of being cancelled while that horror-show (not in a good way) American Horror Story is going to be rebooted. With the sole exception of Jessica Lange, they all suck and some episodes are just laughable.

  32. kimberly says:

I can say I will not watch the episode for the only reason that old lady greene can’t act and it would be a complete waste of time to watch her. . . it’s not like i’d miss anything in the storyline of that boring show.

i don’t watch anything with that talentless flat chested buck teeth fugly bitch.

  33. Angie says:

“Who would act like that with such a short acting history under their belt (not that it would be acceptable from anyone)?”

I read Alex Pettyfer was already a diva after just two or three teen movies (it’s the first example that came to my mind). I think it’s probably common in hollywood…

And I love how ashley has said several times that she has a huge crush on joseph gordon levitt !?! AS IF she has great taste in men (and could date someone like him) after a jonas brother (even if it was certainly a publicity stunt), UGH!

  34. JoanCrawfordHangers says:

I fondly recall reading about Ms. “Movie Star” Greene – who just a few years ago – was living in an ick Valley apt and neighbors were complaining because she never walked her yapping fido who in turn was poo-poo’ing everywhere in the tiny rank apartment. My, how times change.

  35. GirlyGirl says:

    Seriously who is Ashley Greene?

  36. laura says:

not a remotely attractive girl. the twilight series is ABSOLUTE garbage – poorly written, poorly acted, overwrought….crap. hopefully, it will fade into obscurity along with all of its ‘stars’.

  37. Meggers says:

I had to read the article to find out who she was, but my first thought was “damn, this chick has a crazy, perma-bitch face.”

  38. whatevs says:

she always struck me like a bitch but idgi since ricci is the real film star there

  39. Julie says:

I will say this, great skin.

  40. Nan209 says:

    She has man shoulders.

  41. Nan209 says:

I also think she must have pissed off her customer b/c that outfit is NOT flattering at all – even the 60’s accounted for body type/style. Costumers can make or break you and if you piss off the wrong one they’ll stick in an unlined burlap sack.

  42. Roscoe says:

I think the only peeps from Twilight who will really have any longevity are K-Stew, R-Patts, Nikki Reid, Peter Facinelli (sp), Elizabeth Reaser, Anna Kendrick and the guy who played the dad, because they were all already relatively established or have appeal beyond the franchise.

The minor Cullens might surprise us, but it’s unlikely. Ironically, I thought the kids who played the regular high school friends were infinitely more likable and more well-acted than the AG and KL cardboard cutout characters. /rant

  43. imabrat says:

    AND… she’s wearing a cafeteria lady hairnet. I don’t like ‘er.
