When I first saw this hideous gown that Madonna wore at last night’s NYC premiere of W.E., my first thought was that she had probably picked out the ugliest thing she could find from Dior or something. Turns out, Madonna is wearing Marchesa. Of course. I should have recognized the ice-skater fugness. I guess it makes sense because Harvey Weinstein is really trying to make W.E. happen in a big way, and by association, he’s trying to make Madonna-as-Director happen in a big way. Thus, Madge wears Harvey’s wife’s hideous designs. But at this point, doesn’t it seem like Georgina Chapman is just trying to make the worst gowns possible, just to see who will go along with wearing them?
As for Madonna’s face… rough. In the past few months, I’ve kept saying that Madonna looks better, that her chicken cutlet cheek implants have finally settled, that she doesn’t look so crazy anymore. I take it all back. She still looks crazy.

If you’re going to get jacked up with plastic surgery, at least make sure it’s well-done. I’m really surprised that she f***ed her face up so badly – cheek implants? She looks horrible, and she could have aged “gracefully” with minor tweaking. Who the hell ever said, “Yeah – cheek implants are a GREAT idea!”
Agree completely..it changed her face in such a weird way. I find it sad, I used to find her so unique (looking).

Yeah, I really do wonder… She has plenty of money, so why does her plastic surgery look so cheap and tacky and obvious? I think there are people who have a little bit done here and there and it’s hard to even tell. if you have the money, you can afford the best. Why, then, does Madonna’s look so horrible? Baffles me.
I think it’s because her face doesn’t match itself. She has parts that look really youthful in a plastic way, and then parts that look like a normal 50yo’s, and they jar.
It looks to me that Madonna and Joan Rivers used the same plastic surgeon.
They both now closely resemble Madame The Puppet.
And that is not a compliment.

Oh, lordy, you’re right. I remember that puppet from Hollywood Squares!! HA! I’m disappointed that she messed up her face. I always loved her and was in h.s. when her first album came out, and now she looks weird. She could have made a real statement by owning the way she’s aged, but she just looks freaky now.
It doesn’t matter how good your plastic surgeon is (and I’m sure Madonna went to the best) when you have almost no body fat any cosmetic surgery you have is going to look jacked up. Women need to realize that a little bit of body fat is needed for an overall pleasing appearance (I’m not talking obesity levels here; simply a tad more than anorexic levels of body fat). If women insist on looking like skeletons as they age they’re going to end up with hollow, wrinkled faces or (like Madonna) if they get fillers, etc. to try to compensate, jacked up faces.

Completely off topic, but I’m surprised there is no story about Gabriel Aubrey and what he allegedly did to his nanny. It finally comes out that SOME of Halle’s claims about his violent temper might be on the mark, and I honestly thought that would be one of the first stories here. especially since their breakup and custody battle was widely discussed. And just for the record, I’m not criticizing, I’m just wondering.
Agreed. For all the time we call Berry crazy, it seems as if she (sadly) is proven right in this case. I have my doubts/opinions about the story but the gist of it is still that he has anger issues.
well this is a nanny that she picked out, demanded be stuck on him and one he didn’t want around so one has to wonder if (in the absence of physical evidence or others corroborating her statements) the nanny is just doing what Berry instructed her to do. . .

She has nailed it this whole W.E. Season. But this is just a big fat no. Awful dress and the only person who could pull it off would be a five foot ten model. Madonna is petite, five two. The dress overpowers her. The hair from the side is nice, but front on, no.
Madonna looks just like Faye Dunaway in these pics. That gown is awful. My first thought was that it’s one Helena Bonham Carter (or Morticia from the Adams family) would wear.

As for Madonna’s tweaked face, I’m reminded of a quote attributed to Coco Chanel:

Is she wearing Marchesa because of the link with Harvey Weinstein? Can you think of anyone who would look good in this thing? I’ve maybe only seen 2 or 3 really great Marchesa dresses ever but this one is one of the worst. Yikes!!!!

The fugly dress matches her fugly face which matches her fugly personality. So all around her stylist did a great job putting it all together so nicely!
I think all the tulle is to distract from her hands-notice she’s finally skipped those ridiculous biker gloves. I actually feel bad for her-she is just seeming so desperate.

Horrible…she’s starting to resemble Ginger Rogers in her later years, it wasn’t pretty then and it’s not pretty now. Way too much plastic surgery, make-up, long died blonde hair, daffy clothing, gloves to hide aging hands….oh Madonna, just give up already and age gracefully.
