Viggo Mortensen will make it all better. There, there. These are some new photos of Viggo in Brookline, Massachusetts last night, where he received the Coolidge Award and where he gave some kind of massive talk and participated in a Q & A session. I tend to think that Viggo has lost the hotness… but perhaps I’m not being fair to him. He reminds me a great deal of Ed Harris these days – I used to be really, really hot for Ed Harris, but as Ed has aged, he lost all of his prettiness. Same with Viggo – all I see is cheekbones. He has great cheekbones, but I’m not going to bone a dude just because he has great bone structure. Still, I know you ladies love some Viggo, so enjoy.
During Viggo’s talk, he discussed the Lord of the Rings and how much he loves the LOTR fanatics: “There are people who have seen all three of the movies, the extended versions, 31⁄2 hours each, and some of them are in costume. They’re all very knowledgeable and have seen the movie many times. Seeing those people when I walked in was amazing.” Still, American LOTR-fanatics don’t compare with Norwegian fanatics: “J.R.R. Tolkien’s work draws heavily on Nordic mythology. People in Oslo had been lining up for a month, all in costume. There were wizards, fair maidens … for a month. This is winter in Oslo! People were on the sidewalk for a month in sleeping bags. Some of them got divorced as a result of being there. Every single person was a wizard, elf, dwarf, and crying. But I think it was also the fact that they had been lying in the snow for a month.” LMAO.

I think he is also charming, but he needs to work on doing something with the hair and clothes. Could gain back some hotness factor.
I think it is great that he doesn’t look too pretty. He seems like a genuinely good person, hard worker, etc. I think he would look creepy if he had work done.
I am a Viggo girl, but even so, I admit he could use some tooth-bleaching and an eye lift. What’s underneath his clothes, however, is STILL BANGIN’, according to photos.
The photos were he is smiling are perfection but overall I he is starting to look like the homeless man who lives under the bridge with his shopping cart full of crap. He does not have the shopping cart yet but give him some time and he will get it. Shame he used to look so good. I will now just have to rewatch Eastern Promises for the Viggo that I love. I REFUSE to watch any of the LOTR films. I don’t care how good he looks in the posters.

I used to reside in Brookline and there is a warm cinephile community in and around Boston. I think its sweet that Viggo accepted and attended the small theater’s award show. A lot fo celebrities wouldnt care but little awards are just as important as big awards. He seems like a nice guy. I had a Norwegian boyfriend from Oslo and he said to him the cold is nothing. Im also part Russian and I can probably handle a couple of Bostonian nights outside and some Russian/Scandinavian ones but to wait for some movie star I wouldn’t risk my health. To some people the cold or the heat is genetically tolerable.
Love Viggo… and I can appreciate the ‘graceful aging’ thing, to a point. In this case, I think Viggo could use some MINOR work. Whiten the teeth just a bit, get a decent hair cut… and yes, some new threads(;

I don’t much care that he’s getting old and wrinkly, I’m not that superficial, but I’m huge on oral health and his teeth look like they could use a dentist’s loving touch. And the hair… the HAIR. It’s too light and thin for these longer styles he keeps wearing, I wish he’d get a shorter cut. But… I still wuv him!

He showed up (unexpectedly) on Sunday for the screening of Lord of the rings. Then, he went for Q&A after the screening of Eastern Promises and then he went on Monday evening to receive the award and give an interview. He is very down to Earth, simple, well spoken, charming and polite.
Seeing both Viggo and Fassbender so close, if you have to ask me again who I’d choose… I would say Viggo.

Loved it and my friend and I were lucky enough to see him in the end signing autographs to his fans before he got in the car that was waiting for him. I won’t forget how humble, polite and nice he was! He really went up to my top 5 artists now.ps: really cute when he got blushed and when he blew a kiss to the audience as he was leaving, 🙂
He’ll be 54 this year. He’s good looking and charming. The fact that he’s SMART is a total turn on. Yes indeedy he’s still hot. I’ll take SMART over abs any day of the week.

Viggo’s always had crap taste in clothes; the saddest thing to me is that his hair appears to be thinning. 🙁 Oh well, time marches on for us all and he’s still a complete package.
He does seem to have lost something, but maybe it’s bad lighting and hair because you still see ‘it’ in some of the other photos.
And he is a lot more animated in these photos which makes everyone look bad. Talking, eating, and laughing in snap shot…ugh for most people.

Meh. He lost his looks definitely. I think men who are light skinned and light eyed lose their looks more than with darker, swarthy skin. His eyes almost look like glass marbles now. Not much going on inside even when he laughs. He looks faded and he has deep creases and wrinkles all over his face. And he’s losing his hair. The question wasn’t about his politics or his acting.
