This weekend, the Toyota Pro-Celebrity (Grand Prix?) race is being held in Long Beach. The big “gets” of the event? Not Adrien Brody (poor d-bag). It was LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian! Eddie was part of the charity racing event, and LeAnn got to sing the National Anthem. Incidentally, that Kate Del Castillo woman was there too – some of you seem to think that Eddie might have a crush on Kate, or that they are even having an affair or something. I don’t know – I just thought I would mention that she was at the event too. I’m honestly finding it difficult to hate on Eddie here. It was for charity, and he likes fast cars (and loose women). His participation was just… there. Meh. But I do love how LeAnn made it all about HER!! And look at what she’s wearing – will someone tell her that no one finds her bony chest plate sexy?
Spectators scrambled for cover today as heavy rain and thunder storms drenched the Toyota Grand Prix. But that didn’t stop LeAnn Rimes from turning up to play pit babe and cheer on husband Eddie Cibrian. The 29-year-old singer is also set to open the ceremonies in Long Beach, California this weekend when she sings the national anthem.
‘It’s raining sideways in Long Beach! Wow, hopefully it let’s up before the qualifying race!!!!’ she tweeted. ‘Love watching him race! I’m a proud wife!!!!’
Wearing coral coloured jeans and a black leather jacket, the Grammy winner stayed bundled up against the wind and rain. Other drivers participating in the race, which is the world’s longest-running and most prestigious celebrity racing event, included Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody, Mexican TV star Kate del Castillo, reality star Brody Jenner and comedian Adam Corolla.

The celebrity drivers all received on-the-track training to prepare for the race which benefited children in need. Toyota annually donates $5,000 to Racing for Kids on behalf of each participant and another $5,000 to the winning racer’s charity of choice. Toyota has donated more than $2 million to the Racing for Kids organization since 1991, on behalf of the race and its participants.
Later in the day steady rain all but canceled the one-hour practice session for professional Grand Prix drivers. IndyCar Champion Dario Franchitti, who is married to actress Ashley Judd, drove one lap around the 1.97-mile course on the city’s seaside streets, then pulled his car in for the day. Scott Dixon, his teammate, also attempted a lap but hit a large patch of standing water, spun and crashed lightly into the wall. No other drivers went out on the 11-turn course.
One more practice is scheduled Saturday morning before the series holds qualifying later in the day to set the field for Sunday’s race.

Idiots it’s the annual Longbeach Toyota Grand Prix which many celebrities who drive race cars as a hobby have competed in in the past. two examples being James Garner & Paul Newman neither of whom would’ve been offened by what Leann wore to the race. Mind you Newman was a world war II veteran a 3rd class radio operator due to the fact that he was color blind

This is also PROOF to me that she asked exactly for Brandi’s size implant & it doesn’t work for her chest width.
After my reconstruction surgery, my bff went to her plastic $urgeon and asked for my size implants (600cc’s)- he told her that it wouldn’t look natural because she was a smaller girl (chest width, hips etc). But she wanted EXACTLY what I got, and now it looks totally wrong on her. I also had to get them big to help stretch out my skin from my previous surgery- however she wouldn’t listen to her Dr. Now she has jacked up implants- just like Leann. But at least she realizes this and is getting hers redone high profile, smaller implant to fit her body.

I read the LeAnn posts for the LeAnn vs. Brandi comments. The back and forth is always quite entertaining. As a Long Beacher I have comments of my own today.
The LB Toyota Grand Prix is an Indy car race that runs through streets in downtown LB. The Indy car race is the main event but they have other races all weekend such as drifting. The pro-celebrity race is always Saturday morning. They race in souped up Toyota sedans. The pros are NOT Indy race car drivers. As for the celebs-I usually recognize a few and have not heard of the rest. They do get some big names though. (Note to Courtney–over the years, Paul Newman raced in LB but in the main race not the celeb race.)
On to the good stuff–every year the celeb drivers visit kids who are long term patients at Long Beach Memorial Hospital. I know the official Toyota photographer and see the pics of the visits. It’s always interesting to see who connects with the kids. LeAnn tagged along with the drivers for the visit which I thought was odd. (Btw, Taylor Dayne is singing the national anthem for the main race today.) Here’s a surprise for you guys—Eddie was really good with the kids. A lot of these kids probably had no clue who he was but he played with them and there was no mistaking the joy on their faces.
Oh, I have no doubt that Eddie was good with the kids. He is an actor afterall and he probably enjoys any moment he gets to look away from Rimes and interact with anyone else. Even if just for a few milliseconds with some kids. Of course LeAnn went, afterall if Kate went too then she can’t leave him alone.
LR should race in the Kentucky Derby!

It may be reading too much into pictures, but LeAnn keeps one hand on his midsection and the other around his back. He, on the other hand, holds her around for the picture with one hand and has his other hand in his pocket. Seems weird. I don’t like putting people’s looks down, but I will say her new look seems to be expose the implants all the time. Cut out holes in dresses, unbuttoned to the navel even on the plane, etc. She looks softer and better when she wears belted jeans, boots, and a top that doesn’t overexpose. As much as I loathed what she was pulling that day, the day she wore the high boots and gray cape/cardigan when she took everyone shopping (and then papped herself inside the store) was a good look for her.
