These are some new photos from Stella McCartney’s Spring Presentation at her NYC store last night. Anne Hathaway was the big “get” of the evening, and I actually like Anne’s crisp white suit, which is by Stella. So… maybe Stella does have a few good designs? Maybe Stella should just stick with menswear-inspired clothes? Because I almost always hate Stella’s gowns. Anyway…
Anne does look pretty cute. Her hair makes me nervous, though. It’s too short for her face, and it’s going to be so awkward as it grows out. I like that she didn’t go for a long weave immediately, although I kind of wonder if Anne is going to employ some fake hair in the months to come. She’s got the world promotional tour for The Dark Knight Rises in a month, and then nothing for a few months, and then she starts promoting Les Miserables. I’m just saying… that’s a lot of camera time when you’re trying to grow out your hair.
Also – this is just a weird sidenote – Anne was sporting a sling for the past few weeks, and now she’s not. It could have just been a sprain that heeled miraculously fast. Or it could be a conspiracy. ???
Annie came to the event with her fiancé, Adam Shulman, who still looks like he could be vaguely related to Ryan Gosling. Adam and Anne seem… okay. Honestly, I don’t think they’re a real “soulmate” match, I think Anne just wants to be settled down with someone. It’s about timing for her, I think. But we’ll see if they do make it down the aisle.
I’m also including photos of Stella and Amy Poehler wearing one of Stella’s (horrible) designs. Why would you do this Amy?!?

i have nothing against Hathaway (except she’s a bad idea as Catwoman) but it’s her worst look since a long time.

At least Georgina Chapman puts some effort in her skating costumes while Stella McCartney just throws some fabric on a model, paired with some ugly shoes and she calls it ‘fashion’. i wish i had a famous dad too..
I can wrap a towel around me on the beach a lot better than Stella did that orange one.
I don’t like what she’s wearing…it’s not bad, but it’s not great either.
The orange dress is awful.

Anne looks like she’s wearing one of those Groucho Marx glasses and nose. Otherwise, who cares….it’s just hair. It will grow and then her nose won’t look so big. And the sling was a conspiracy?? That’s a stretch.
I don’t think the short hair is doing her any favors, but it’ll grow now that she’s done with Les Mis. I actually like the white suit, except I think the pants look too short. Maybe that’s how they’re supposed to be but….
Also, that dress on Amy P. WTFugly?!
If Stella McCartney had a different last name, she’d be fighting for a slot on PROJECT RUNWAY and once she got on, she’d be the first one eliminated.
I love Amy Poehler and generally think she’s awesome, but that orange dress is a mistake. A big one.
I like Anne’s suit though. Hopefully her hair grows out quickly – I think she’s pretty, but she has large features on a small face and the super short hair is not flattering to that.

She just needs to put some product in it. I had hair that short and it looked like that (like an 8 year old boy’s cut) if I didn’t do anything to it. Why is no one getting her gunk to put in it? It would make it look cute
Oh girl, no. I don’t mind the hair at all and the suit is fine, too. But together? Nooooo. This outfit makes her look pale, sickly, and very old.
She needs to work the hair with a different style, maybe something a litte harder, rockier, with layers possibly. And some jewelry. This is not Calvin Klein minimalist, this is borderline fug.
