Video of Pauly Shore getting punched out by a heckler

Pauly Shore was doing his comedy routine on stage at the 8th Street Comedy Club in Odessa, Texas over the weekend when he had to ask some people to stop talking. He stuck to the issue of the hecklers interrupting him, and didn’t get sidetracked and make stupid attacks on them personally like another washed up star from the 90s who’s on the comedy circuit. He just said that they should shut up.

A big ‘ol man in a giant hat took offense and got up on stage and popped him one, and the whole thing was caught on tape. There’s lots of swearing so it’s NSFW

He called the man white trash afterwards and walked off stage once the security took him away. The guy never should have been allowed to get on stage in the first place. It doesn’t look like Pauly is going back to Odessa any time soon.

Very funny but I have my suspicions that it is actually real. I mean its just too soon after the whole Kramer incident where he’s using he N word and this time its Pauly saying they are white trash. It doesnt really look like he was hit. He looks like he fell with he punch like it was a set up. HMMMMM.

Could not happen to a nicer guy. Pauly Shore should give it up. The guy is funny NOT.

Jesus. You know, my husband is a standup comedian, and he’s performed with Pauly Shore. (And yes, the guy is not funny, the whole “wea-sel” thing wasn’t all that funny 15 years ago.) But I’m so glad my husband is a big guy. Pauly Shore is tiny (shorter than me and I’m 5’6″) and he didn’t deserve that. If you go to a comedy show and you have a chip on your shoulder, GO HOME. Other people paid good money to see a comedian, not to see your lumbering ass attack him. I hope the guy got arrested.

What’s worse than the incident itself,
are the ogres in the audience laughing and applauding. How dare anyone imply that Americans are stupid, violent Cretans?

I have a feeling the whole thing was staged. I’m so cynical. Sorry for Pauly if it was real. But I think he paid the guy to video tape and the other to fake punch him.

What was it that made people decide that it is ok to be rude during a performance? People talk on cell phones in movie theatres and talk through or heckle live stage performances. Nothing is more rude to the person/people on stage, and people in the audience.

  7. Anastasia says:

Man, that was RUDE. That audience was horrible. I live in Texas, but I don’t live in Odessa. This is just one of the reasons why. LOL.

If it wasn’t staged, Shore didn’t deserve to get punched. AND the dude who punched him? Hits shitty. That was a bad punch. I could hit better than that and I’m a tiny woman.

It was staged. There is a story about it over on Best week ever.

“The Odessa, Texas Police Department claims that an officer “had met with Mr. Shore prior to his set, and was asked to participate in the skit. The officer stated that the skit went as designed and that Shore was not injured in the designed skit.””

I knew it. It just looked fake.
