FYI, this is what Ralph Fiennes looks like now: would you ever hit it?

This is just an FYI: THIS is what Ralph Fiennes looks like these days. Dear GOD. Ralph was photographed in Pula Pula, Croatia, where he was attending a film festival and premiering his directorial debut, Coriolanus. Which I think came out in most countries last year, if I’m remembering correctly. It doesn’t really matter, because THIS is what he looks like now. He looks like – and I’m really sorry if some of you are offended by this stereotype – my idea of an Cold War communist “intellectual” from the USSR. Like, is he supposed to be giving me Vladimir Lenin vibes? *shiver*

Just so you know, I would probably still hit it, but at this point it’s more of a nostalgia-bone than anything else. I used to think Ralph was one of the most beautiful men in the world. I’ve been in love with him for two decades now… GAAAHHH, I need to watch The English Patient so I can remember how hot he used to be. Just for reference, this is what Ralph looked like in the ‘90s:

And this is Ralph now.

Maybe it’s for a play or a movie. Hopefully. Oh, last month he was starring and directing a film about Charles Dickens. Is this his Dickens styling? *double shiver*

Yep. In the 70’s. At a commune. I mean, his face is still in there. I’m impressed he can even grow a beard, and that he has a lot of hair even if it’s receding. And anyway, he played Francis Dolarhyde. I will only ever see the Dragon.

    • Rhea says:

” I’m impressed he can even grow a beard”—>That’s what I’ve been thinking!

    • Chicagogurl17 says:

Holy homeless! My best friends dad did this too. It seemed like the balder he got on top, the bushier beard her got and it’s like he started dressing off the floor, everything was wrinkled and although clean, looked smelly.

      • ZenB!tch says:

Holy homeless! LOL! That is what I thought!

He needs to cut the hair and shave the beard. I am fascinated by how little gray he has in the beard considering how little hair he has left on his head.

      • Msbock says:

Holy homeless! Love it! Gotta steal it batman!

  2. marie says:

back in the day, yes.. now, not so much..still has really pretty eyes though..

  3. ds says:

Yeah it’s for the Dickens movie

    • gg says:

Can’t wait to see this – I adore Dickens. Even though he was a jerk to his wife and family.

  4. Kim says:

He’ll be fine with a shave and haircut, very short haircut

    • mayamae says:

I agree. Just get a buzz cut and shave that beard and he’ll be just as beautiful. I love his intensity. The receding hairline doesn’t bother me much. I think one of the most gorgeous men is Ed Harris – I’m so fixated with those eyes I wouldn’t notice the hairline.

      • NYC_girl says:

        I agree

      • Canda says:

I second this. I seriously thought I was the only chick with a hard-on for Ralph (I always get strange looks from other 20-something like I’m a pervert when I mention it). I’ve been slightly nuts about him since Schindler’s List, and that’s a little warped in and of itself.

    • Jen34 says:

      The face is still gorgeous.

    • GoodCapon says:

Yes! It’s his beard that’s getting in the way of his sexiness.

Not that I would ever hit it. He’s not my type, but I can’t deny that he is good-looking.

  5. Eleonor says:

A good shave, and short cut hair, I’d hit him oooh yesss.
He hasn’t fake hair like Travolta, or he is not wearing a wig, he is like that. I like confidence.

  6. Ming says:

Yesterday I watched “Quiz Show” starring Ralph and John Turturro. It’s from 1994 and he looked mighty fine. All hail the beauty of past beauties.

  7. chloe says:

I believe the hair and beard is for a movie, but as soon as he’s done filming it a shave and haircut stat. English Patient is one of my favorite movies, when he carries Kristin Davis across the desert, I thought how romantic.

  8. lucy2 says:

I loved him in the English Patient, but now…not so much! I agree he needs to clean up his look, it would be a vast improvement.

  9. paola says:

    Rasputin!

  10. eric says:

Wow, that first head-shot is one of the best I’ve ever seen of any actor, maybe he’s playing King Lear in a Shakespeare festival if not he should let the beard go.

  11. Nebraskalinda says:

Never did find him attractive. Nice, sweet, gentlemanly–but not physically attractive. He looks like he has soft, girlish hands.

    • mst says:

I agree. And he is on the short side. Excellent actor though. He was great in Schindler’s List and should have won the Oscar. He was robbed I tell ya, robbed!

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

Agreed. Never had a thing for him anyway but here he looks…ugh.

      • stinky says:

after Schindler’s was the ONLY time i would’ve hit it. He most def WAS robbed. He was one mezzzmerizing Nazi!

  12. Dany says:

Don’t forget, he is Lord Voldemort! Maybe just a new masquerade to fool us… *shiver 😎

PS: Agree – as far as I know this look is for his role as famous writer Charles Dickens.

Here you can see some cool (and funny) Ralphie pictures. 😀

  13. Mrs.Darcy says:

The hair is just making his forehead look freakishly huge, and the beard is kidnapper creepy, but like others have said these are easily rectifiable. His face is actually pretty non-ravaged. He never really set me on fire but I don’t think he looks that bad in the grand scheme of things.

  14. Isabel says:

OMG Charles Manson is out on the streets? xD

  15. CC says:

HELL NO. I have to say I’m the female equivalent of the guy that says “no fatties or ugglies”. No baldies for me, TYVM. Not mentioning the beard because it can be shaved off… the male equivalent of leg armit, etc was or shave.

    • Jen34 says:

Bwhaahaahaa. I can’t stand pubic hair on the face, although it does improve some men’s looks.

  16. NYC_girl says:

I don’t think he looks bad; he just has to clean up the hair and beard. His skin looks good. I personally always liked his brother more. I wonder if he looks like shite too?

  17. crtb says:

He just got older. He still looks in good shape and his face looks good.

  18. Adrien says:

Maybe it’s for role. Remember he had to grow a huge belly for his role as Amon Goethe.

  19. AnnieN says:

Very Don Quijote de la Mancha, not a good look.

  20. Mia 4S says:

Back in the day, God yes. Now? Well lose the beard and, no probably not. That said he’s still a great talent and I can’t help but like him after all the stories about what a good and loyal friend he was to Liam Neeson after his wife died.

  21. Tanya says:

I also fell in love with him in the English Patient…those eyes…*sigh*. You know how some men look decent bald…and some men have cool beards if they keep them trimmed and short?… He does not. If he didn’t let the beard get all scraggly and kept it almost like stubble, it might be sexy..if the hair was super short, maybe even buzzed, that also, might be sexy, but THIS look, not so much. Those eyes, however, will forever melt regardless.

  22. TXCinderella says:

Dear Lord! What happened to him? Surely he could get a hair transplant or at least a good toupe. Maybe he just doesn’t care about his appearance anymore.

    • LAK says:

This look is for a film Role. He is playing Charles Dickens.

    • Veronica says:

NO man should EVER get a toupee!

      • Eleonor says:

        Co-sign, it’s ridicoulous!! It’s like Tommy’s heels!
If a man has hair problem better shave à la John Malcovich.

    • TXCinderella says:

Thank goodness it’s for a role! Ted Danson wears a toupee and I think it looks nice on him. Maybe a trip to Hair Club For Men. I’m just not into the bald look.

  23. alexis says:

Even so…probably….probably. *Hangs head in shame.*

  24. Aubra says:

OMG this is in my Bradley’s future!! (Cooper)As for that hairline, nothing a little avacado oil can’t fix…lmao

  25. LittleDeadGirl says:

Like the others said, just a shave and a hair cut, and he’d be back to being hot. I love his voice and he strikes me as genuinly intelligent human being. In Bang Kill Marry. I’d totally marry. He isn’t trying too hard to be hot all the time. I like that.

  26. Madrid says:

    Lol,I had a laugh reading the replies…
The pic from the 90´s is still in my parent´s house room. Sigh. I could stand the beard but no way that uncle´s haircut.

  27. justme says:

The man is an actor and is playing Charles Dickens – therefore he must try to look like Charles Dickens (and he is doing a pretty good job I think). When he shaves he’ll look fine – middle-aged, but that is not a tragedy after all!

  28. Loulou says:

    He has beautiful skin!

  29. Cathy says:

If he trimmed the goatee a bit I’d boink him in a minute.

  30. Gabby says:

It’s just Pula (not Pula Pula), a really beautiful town in northern Croatia.

  31. Green is Good says:

I’d stil hit it. His hawtness can’t be contained by a bad Goatee.

  32. mercy says:

He’s a real actor, not a pinup. The minute I saw this pic I knew it was for a role. He’s lost some hair, but still gorgeous. Beautiful eyes and skin. I’ve seen him on stage and he’s not short. He’s a great actor.

  33. Reece says:

I love him as an actor. Nothing more. Great actor-y respect for him. Nothing more. Nothing more.

  34. mia says:

I wish he had more movies coming out. He and Gary Oldman are so exceptionally talented.

    • TXCinderella says:

Gary Oldman is way under-rated. Ever since I saw him in Bram Stoker’s Dracula, I have loved him.

  35. geekychick says:

It’s just Pula, Croatia! Or, if you want to go into details, it’s Pula, Istria, Croatia! The city is on the sea, and has one of the best preserved and biggest amphitheater in the world. Also, Istra is widely popular for it’s wine (sweet and oh so good), couisine (the olives, the trufells, prsciutto made in the sea-wind, the fish…oooh), picturesque stone villages in beautiful countryside.. and so on.
Sorry for rambling, but it’s my country, I can’t help but humblebrag just a little bit. ;))))

  36. maemay says:

I know people love the hunks and the hearthrob who are young with zero wrinkles and life experience and acting ability…but I just prefer the character actors who look as if they THINK about the roles they play. Those who complain about aging can keep the Zac Effron’s and the numerous perfect yet dull actors.

    • Anoni Mus says:

I so agree with you on this. Ralph was never my type, but I found him disturbingly attractive as Goeth in Schindler’s List and then in The English Patient and other movies.

I have always admired that he doesn’t shy away from becoming a monster (Red Dragon, Harry Potter), but can also be a pretty boy (Quiz Show, Maid in Manhattan)

Good for him for not dying his hair or using a wig. He just needs to cut his beard and his hair a bit, and he will be fine.

People get older, they get saggier, balder, fatter, thinner, wrinklier, hair gets white… whatever. I think we have to accept this in men AND in women, and applaud when they don’t tinker. Just my opinion.

  37. Lindy says:

I am going to just believe that this is a Charles Dickens thing. He has always been on my list of top 5–and I think he’s the kind of guy who would be gentlemanly and witty in public, but a kinky bastard in bed. Which is all to the good! 🙂

But yes, this current look is terribly unattractive.

  38. G says:

My God! I though that was Leo Tolstoy. Huge admirer here. But it’s not.

For a moment I thought I had accidentally logged into Celeb|literacy.

    • Lindy says:

I’d happily geek out over Celeb/Literacy 🙂 And he does kind of look like Tolstoy here. He would be brilliant at playing Tolstoy, too, for that matter.

  39. K says:

Ralph looked a lot like this last year at some point when he was performing ‘The Tempest’ on stage. He looks like this because of his Charles Dickens’ movie. Personally, I’d hit it in a heartbeat. The man has the voice & the eyes & will always be that sexy perv we’ve all wished we could hit since the early 90’s. I give it a few months & he’ll look like his ‘normal’ hottie self.

  40. Dahlia1947 says:

Nasty! What happened to him? Ugh! He was so hot in Maid in Manhattan. Sigh..

  41. Alyce says:

I wouldn’t hit this EVER. The beard looks like it has little creatures growing in it. He was hotter as Voldemort and he didn’t even have a nose then…

  42. Maria_Spain says:

ehm… yes yes yes! we can always shave him XD

  43. Dankha says:

This is the most riculous comment ever….
“To watch English Patient” to remember Ralph beauty!?? LOLOLO!! this world is so silly….this man is beauty in and out and he is free! make a life on your own my friend….he is doing art no the miss usa!
You will never be able to understand Ralph`s art and way! ….LOLOLO!!! check better Brad Pitt maybe he is so atrective still!

  44. Lee says:

He is still a beautiful man; it’s so obvious this look is for a role. I’m happy to be reminded of him, and his amazing acting. Now I think I need to find his films and settle in. Let’s see: shall it be “The Constant Gardener”? Or “The End of the Affair”? Or “The English Patient”?

  45. Your mama says:

    It’s Pula (once) 🙂 & no I wouldn’t hit it. Xo

  46. Camille (The original) says:

Would I hit it? No. But then he’s never really done it for me anyway.

  47. Jennifer12 says:

At least he’s not obsessed with Botox and trying to stay 25. Just clean up a little bit and change the wardrobe.

  48. Jennifer says:

    Please lose the beard!!!

  49. skuddles says:

Oh dear, crazy old mountain man doesn’t do it for me. But shave the beard and cut the hair and he’s still beautiful. Those eyes and that smile… and don’t forget the voice… sigh.

  50. Khalesi says:

oh ralph…even if the hair/beard is for a role, why must he wear such shlubby clothing while out and about?

  51. Penisnose McDildoface says:

Even in that pic from the 1990’s you can see he has that whole ‘thinning hair/receding hairline trait, so it is retarded to think that he wouldn’t have lost any

  52. Doodle says:

    I would. Yes.

  53. Emily says:

He just needs to shave, that’s all.

And you do know you don’t actually have to look at a guy’s face while you’re having sex. Missionary isn’t the only position. I just love his voice.

  54. Autumnleaves says:

He’s still sexy to me. I’d hit that all night long.

  55. sup says:

    it’s a tragedy…
