Love Carey and Marcus. She’s a wonderful actress…always wondered why she and Saoirse Ronan kind of get pushed to the background while Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone receive all of the attention. ERW is apparently a major bitch, which kind of disappoints me because I like her…I know someone who works on True Blood and said ERW was a mess. So i’m not surprised she said that.

    • Amelia says:

Saoirse Ronan doesn’t get nearly enough credit these days, but she’s in that gawdaful Stephanie Meyer film ‘The Host’, which, although I definitely won’t be watching, I hope it does well.
I think it’s because she’s *very* low-key. I know it’s not as if Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone (who’s been annoying me recently for unknown reasons..) are all about the fame, but they get papped very frequently. I genuinely can’t recall a paparazzi photo of Saoirse *ever*.

      • Migdalia says:

SR isn’t in any movie franchises. Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone are and are basically “it girls” right now.

    • bns says:

I’ve heard the opposite about ERW, and she’s supposedly really nice. What did she do on the set of True Blood?

    • Smashley says:

Agreed! Emma Stone is soooo overrated. I feel like she plays the same roles over and over. Carrie is talented and so classy. I love Carrie’s style.

      • Ranunculus says:

Like Carey a lot, always creates very interesting characters. She was so great in Drive and Shame! Cant wait for her next movie. Emma Stone is just meh to me. The IT girl of the moment, not esp talented or even interesting. I also don’t get the Jennifer Lawrence hype. Give me Carey, Michelle Williams any day over these Hollywood girls.

      • Smashley says:

I loved Carrie in An Education and Never Let Me Go. I haven’t seen Shame yet. I think what makes her special is that she thinks about roles she takes instead of accepting every script that is handed to her, unlike Emma Stone. I don’t think Emma could pull off any of the characters Carrie has played. On a side note, Emma and Andrew seem like a mismatched couple. Andrew is similar to Carrie, as an actor, because he waits for interesting projects to sign on for. Sometimes I think that he’s only with Emma to help her develop more as an actress.

      • Ranunculus says:

Yes she was great in Never Let Me go as well, as was Andrew. Great movie too!

      • Smashley says:

And Boy A is even better! I saw Andrew twice in Death of a Salesman, boy can he act. The Brit Pack is so talented.

    • GoodCapon says:

I adore Carey, I’m hoping she’d make another appearance as Sally Sparrow in Doctor Who but I know it will never happen.

I can’t wait for Mumford and Sons’ new album! 😀

  2. hmm says:

I really hate his band. The music is all waaa waaa waaa over some fiddle and banjo nonsense.

    • Alexandra Bananarama says:

Agreed. I do listen to similar styles of music, but M&S is pretty awful.

Is he somehow famous or from money? Maybe has powerful friends? Otherwise I can’t imagine how he got a record deal.

      Adorable couple though!

    • Ally says:

Agree. Check out Laura Marling, though, she does powerful things with a slightly folk sound.

If I was Carey M., I would be freaked out that I look just like her (she’s Marcus’s ex). And Marcus needs to cut back on the beer and cheese fries.

    • Adrien says:

You mean Mumford and Sons are a band not a haberdashery?

  3. Francesca says:

She’s a doll. And quite an actress.

  4. Trillion says:

That CDAN story is beyond disturbing and I’m half sorry I clicked the link. Can’t help hoping that at least it caught the attention of all the morons who believe that female mystery parts magically shut down fertility in cases of “legitimate rape”. Ugh.

    • Blue says:

Ya I felt the same way. The other link about rapists seeking joint custody of their offspring is disgusting and disturbing as well. These politicians need to work to change some of these laws to protect people and stop wasting time asking stupid questions and acting like giants d-bags. This world makes me so sad sometimes.

  5. Nessa says:

I do like them together. They seem perfectly fit for each other.

  6. DenG says:

Say, would Aiken question whether that was a “legitimate rape” if the woman conceives? Why didn’t her body shut that down like it’s supposed to? Jeez.

    • TheRealMJ says:

Because they were secretly asking for it.

Sarcasm, obviously. I just have a hunch that Akin feels that way.

  7. salamanca says:

They look nice together. I’m sure they’re happy, in love. So jealous.

  8. TheOriginalMaxi says:

hahaha at Audrina. Can you imagine the phone call to the paparazzi? “Hello, I just wanted you to know that I, Audrina Patridge, will be getting my nails done. Please be there! ” hahahaha

  9. princesslizabeth says:

Mumford and Mulligan are adorable. I’m betting she’s preggers. Just a hunch.

  10. cookie says:

I just read that Jezebel piece and it is SICKENING. I live outside of the states, I just can’t understand what is going on at times in the US with all the anti women rhetoric. Seems like an act of rape isn’t considered a crime but abortion is?

  11. K_T says:

imma put this out there… he looks like hie is packin’

Might just be a FUPA but I choose to think otherwise.

  12. Abby says:

Wait, when did Carey get married? I’m so out of it… last time I checked she was dating… Shia LeBeouf? I live on this website. How did I miss this?!?!?

  13. alexis says:

I love his leather bag and sunglasses.

    • Stacy Dresden says:

If you like the bag, check out Moore and Giles. I have one that is extremely similar to the one Marcus is carrying.

  14. Smarty says:

Love me some KIEDIS! 😀 his boy was on tour with him when they were in Toronto, and he was so cute!

  15. M. says:

I totally understand the attention that Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone receive…particularly Jennifer Lawrence due to the fact that she not only anchored The Hunger Games, while also balancing indies, she has remained grounded and relatable.

  16. Courtney says:

these two c-list stars got married in the spring and so what if lil mrs is pregnant ever heard of a honeymoon baby. just like Paul & Linda McCartney’s first biological child Mary was born 5.5 months after their wedding.

  17. Jules says:

Actually, considering that Carrie Mulligan is not in a franchise, I’d argue that she still seems to get a decent amount of press/pap pictures. Jennifer Lawrence not only carried The Hunger Games to big box office success, but Lawrence also has four or five prestige projects outside of THG…two alone with The Weinstein Company so, Lawrence has definetly earned the amount of attention she receives. Emma Stone also has earned the attention she receives as well…all three are very talented and most importantly, seem to be very relatable and grounded.

Saiorse Ronan is a good actress but still largely unkown in the US though, The Host will certainly raise her profile and soon enough there will be press/pap photos of her as well. I’m guessing that’s why Ronan chose this project in the first place; to raise her profile and that will allow her to compete for roles in bigger films. Of course, all that still depends on whether or not The Host does well at the box office.

  18. F*ck you, I'm going to Guam! says:

Meh, I’m tired of the same old recycled thin, fair (often blond), bland, average looking and dainty starlets.
Give me something new! Am I the only one who gets deja vu whenever I see one of them? It’s like, where have I seen you? Oh yeah, in every movie and magazine out there!
I wonder if they ever get tired of seeing themselves or other actresses who look just like them…hmm…I know I do.

  19. M. says:

My oh my, does Marcus Mumford have the most beautiful head of hair or what???.

  20. ella says:

I love Marcus & Carey as a couple! Well I love them separately too.
