Do you remember that Adele is pregnant? You might not remember because she unfortunately announced the news within an hour of Kate Holmes announcing her split from Tom Cruise. It was one of the most amazing Friday news dumps ever – the beginning of Katie’s Single Girl In the City PR strategy, and at the same time Adele announcing that she got knocked up by her boyfriend of less than nine months – a dude that no one really knows if he’s actually divorced from his first wife. So… I’m glad that Life & Style has devoted their cover story this week to what’s going on with Adele these days. What’s she up to?

A little more than a month away from welcoming her first child, Adele was glowing as she showed off her baby bump on July 30 in London. Spotted for the first time since announcing her pregnancy in June via her website, the 24-year-old enjoyed one of her last nights out before giving birth by having a quiet dinner at Eight Over Eight and window-shopping at Fulham Road’s antiques shops and bookstores.

“Adele was relaxed and calm, and she and Simon looked really great together,” an eyewitness tells Life & Style. “She seemed very, very happy. She absolutely does have a pregnancy glow.”

But there may have been a second reason for the twinkle in Adele’s eye. The singer, who’s been dating entrepreneur Simon Konecki for the past year, was sporting a gold wedding band on her ring finger, Life & Style can exclusively reveal.

“Adele and Simon managed to keep the baby news a secret for so long that there are rumors they’ve already gotten married, too,” reveals an insider. “She’s an old-fashioned girl and can’t wait to be part of a family unit. She just wants to focus on the baby and the man she loves.”

Well, this answers some questions I had. For one, if Adele is due in the end of September, that means she was just a few weeks along at the Grammys. She was pregnant at the Brit Awards too. And that means that Adele got knocked up just a few months into her relationship with Simon. I want to be happy for her… but this girl does NOT have a good track record when it comes to men and relationships. I don’t have any doubt that she’ll be a great mum, but I do think there’s something sketchy in this situation.

Meanwhile, several weeks ago The Mail claimed that Simon already has his “push present” all picked out for Adele when she finally does give birth. The Mail says that Simon will give her a “£3,000 gold Buddha necklace designed by artist Marina Cowdray.” The Mail’s report also said that Simon has a 5-year-old daughter with his EX-wife. So maybe the divorce is official? God, I hope so.
