Justin Theroux now being referred to as “the future Mr. Jennifer Aniston”

These are some new-ish photos of Justin Theroux from Monday, in New York City. Fame/Flynet Pictures hilariously labeled these pics, “Actor Justin Theroux aka the future Mr. Jennifer Aniston, takes his motorcycle for a spin in New York City.” AKA The Future Mr. Jennifer Aniston. If that’s not enough to make most men run screaming, I don’t know what else you could do to this poor guy. I mean, part of me has some begrudging respect for Justin – he went into this relationship with Jennifer knowing that he was going to be called “Mr. Jennifer Aniston”. That’s tough on any man’s ego, and hopefully Justin is enough of a feminist to shake off that kind of stuff. But the other part of me thinks that Justin is more of a K-Fed than people are willing to admit – like, he enjoys being with such a famous woman because it opens up doors for him and raises his profile.

Anyway, the motorcycle… eh. It’s not a new thing. He’s been into motorcycles for a while, but it does seem like he’s particularly eager to push the rough-and-tumble image because… why not? The Mail is comparing him to James Dean. For real. *headdesk*

As for JustJen’s engagement… how long has it been since Justin and Jennifer were in the same city again? It’s been weeks. If they hadn’t announced their engagement, we would be talking about the possibility that they broke up, based on (factual) reporting of how much time they’ve spent apart in the past month and a half. And we still haven’t seen Jennifer’s engagement ring! But… Justin was at Fashion Week over the weekend, sitting front row at Alexander Wang’s runway show. And The Mail claims that Jennifer is already considering wedding dress designers. Aniston’s options? Valentino, Carolina Herrera or Victoria Beckham! A source told The Mail that Beckham is a serious contender and “Jen wants a dress that’s simple and classy, which is what Victoria’s known for. Even by Victoria’s standards, it would be a huge coup as Jen’s wedding will be Hollywood’s biggest event in years. It would cement Victoria’s place at the very top of the fashion elite.” Wishful thinking by VB.

    Justin Federline / J-Fed. Too funny 😀

    • Laila says:

Also why should it be ‘wishful thinking’ for Victoria Beckham, its not like Jennifer is anything special. VB has dressed bigger celebs that her.

      • jen d. says:

Come on – it would be a huge deal. No matter how you feel about her, this wedding is going to be huge. JA’s a pretty savvy self-promoter – there will be tons of buzz around this wedding. Dressing her for it will be great publicity for VB. It’s got nothing to do with her merit as an actor – people are interested in what Jennifer Aniston does, not what she acts in. I’m pretty sure this article alone will generate at least 100 comments.

      • Leah says:

I do agree that she is a self promoter but I doubt the wedding will be a huge deal just like her engagement. It was only talked about for a day or two and that was it. She only managed to stay in the tabs through plant and deny. She never even trended on twitter, yahoo etc.

      • Dede says:

@jen d this thread only has about 50 something comments and the last justin or aniston thread didnt get that much comments either. people are over them already

  2. Overrated says:

    Ugh he’s so douchey

  3. Eleonor says:

He is driving a BMW GS, great moto!

  4. samira25 says:

It’s hard to take him seriously as a badass considering his love of bad spray tans and manicures. Justin is too metro no matter how much leather he wears. I’m sure a lot of Jennifer fans will say that Justin is huge in the movie business and not Mr. Jennifer Aniston. Zoolander and Iron Man 2 are his big accomplishments. It’s amusing that people act like he’s Aaron Sorkin or Steven Spielburg.

    • NM6804 says:

He works behind the screens a lot and only those on the big screen or the ones directing get all the love and fame. To say Theroux isn’t talented is a slap in the face for all those other screenwriters or people who work in the background and are very much a part of the filmmaking process.

I saw Iron Man 2 and that ish was funny and a huge part of it, is because of the writing skills of Theroux. Like him or not, I give credit where credit is due. Everytime I had a laughing fit, I thought “damn and Theroux wrote this awesomeness?”

You are also forgetting Trophic Thunder and Rock of Ages. Not exactly indie films with Z listers. He has a good steady lowkey career, that he’s a lying cheating hipster douche doesn’t change that fact.

It’s one thing to dislike Aniston and her bf of the year but a whole other to dismiss his professional accomplisments because of it.

Also, it’s Spielberg. I’m sorry to be bitch to you, I’m sure you’re a lovely poster, but if you’re going to say Theroux ain’t a big deal, I expect you to spell the names right of those who are.

EDIT: Oh and he also produced which is more than Aniston ever did. At least he’s doing what he likes, nevermind that he had to sell himself out for it. He’s got to live with that.

      • Fyofeelings says:

Lmao a Justin Theroux stan first time everything….smfh

      • NM6804 says:

How is me summing up facts about his professional life stanning? Because it’s something you don’t like to read? If it’s too positive you dismiss an entire argument based on your opinion? Condescending much? You don’t need to be a fan or a stan to write down simple facts.

If you would know my posts, you would have noticed I barely ever defend Theroux and actually criticised him a lot, just like I did now.

      • sullivan says:

Hmmm. Gotta ask: How is saying JT isn’t talented a slap in the face to all those who work behind the scenes? samira25 was specifically commenting about JT.

      • NM6804 says:

        @sullivan:

Samara argued that Theroux isn’t an important screenwriter because he ‘only’ has two (blockbusters) credits on his name. Three actually.

Then she goes on to compare him to big shots Sorkin and Spielberg which most lowkey screenwriters/producers…would fail to meet up to that standard.

So basically every screenwriter/actor/producer who is not on the same level as certain legends aren’t worthy enough to be talked about in an individual appreciative manner? That is a slap in the face of those who don’t break out or who choose to stay in the background. It’s not because one has a more famous partner, isn’t a household name or that one is douche that his work needs to be denigrated. Theroux has had steady work throughout the years, why get ‘upset’ over fans saying that he’s huge? He isn’t but that doesn’t mean his work is worth nothing. That’s the difference.

In my opinion, you can’t argue about somebody’s talent when he gets hired to write for blockbusters who turn out to be very succesful. Dislike does not justify an opinion.

        I hope my answer suffices.

      • samira25 says:

Thank you for proving my point. You clearly didn’t even bother to read my post and just made assumptions and actually made comments up claiming I said them. I didn’t say Justin only made two movies or isn’t accomplished or that if you’re not Sorkin or Spielberg you’re a nobody. If you had bothered to read I said Jennifer fans build him up like he’s the greatest writer, director, actor of all time. If you believe that Justin is in the same league as Sorkin, Scorsese, etc that’s your opinion. Mine is he’s just average. Also if you are going to whine and bitch about spelling, make sure you don’t make your own errors. It makes you look really foolish when you attack somebody for something that you do as well.

      • NM6804 says:

        @Samira:

I did read your comment and took nothing out of context:

Zoolander and Iron Man 2 are his big accomplishments.

I disputed that. For one, he just had a small acting part in Zoolander. He did not help with the screenplay. His three big accomplisments in screenwriting are Tropic Thunder (a hit), Iron Man 2 (a big hit) and Rock of Ages (a flop). Regardless of how much money he gained or lost, those films all have A-listers in them and he got hired for big projects.

I would also argue that getting cast in a cultmovie of Lynch to be a great accomplishment. Other than that, he has had a steady career. For most people, that is a great accomplishment. It’s not because he isn’t A-list or on every magazine, that he’s not worthy of being praised for the work he did.

I don’t believe either he’s in the same league as the ones you mentioned, that’s not what I said, but I do believe he’s talented.

It’s amusing that people act like he’s Aaron Sorkin or Steven Spielburg.

If you are going to compare him with those people, he’ll always seem like a loser. You don’t have to be on their level to be ‘huge’. Everybody who works on a film dedicates a huge amount of time to bring the finished product to people who just have to sit in their chairs and enjoy. Sorry, but I do find it a slap in the face. It is their job, why can’t small time screenwriters or producers deserve some love from people who think the world of them?

Example: I love Misfits (UK series) and think Overman is awesome but I didn’t know him (he happens to be ‘huge’). I thought it was his only vehicle! That didn’t stop me from praising his work.

I only bitched because your point was that Theroux ain’t all that but you can spell his name right yet the people who are huge, get named ‘Spielburg’. That’s irony for you. I’m not the ‘grammar police’ heck no, but that?…Sorry. No hard feelings.

      • Dede says:

@NM684 im always confused at people who call Tropic Thumder a “hit” it cost 92mil to make and made 188mil worldwide, in order for a movie to just break even(not make a profit) it has to make two times its budget im not even talking about marketing cost so the only “hit” Justin has to his name is Iron Man, just saying

      • Dede says:

oops I misspelled Thunder, the spell police will now attack me

      • Dede says:

yikes forgot to add if Tropic thunder was such a hit and is memorable why then did YOU NM684 misspell the name of the movie? you called it in your original post “TROPHIC” thunder which according to you is a hit movie yet see a problem when Samira says spielbur, pot please meet kettle

      • NM6804 says:

I didn’t watch Tropic Thunder but I do know Spielberg, like the rest of the world.

And it was a critical and box-office hit by the quick glances on the reviews. Not a bad run. It had a good opening and the studio was happy.

I wouldn’t call 200 million dollars bad. Just saying. A lot films don’t get their money back but wouldn’t be labelled ‘flops’ because of it, so there’s that to consider too.

It also seems like this would only be said when talking about people like Theroux. Maybe if RDJ was the topic you would be quicker to forget the strict rules of BO hits because he’s more likeable, famous thus more reason to defend him while Theroux always gets the shit end of the stick simply because he’s dating Aniston.

Btw, posters here always claim a film has to make three times its budget. Again, a lot of films aren’t hits then yet they brought in a ton of money. Agree to disagree.

      • Dede says:

negative i’d do that to anyone a movie has to make at least twice its budget to break even and then from there it gets a profit, you see the $188mil and think hit yet forget that it cost almost 100mil to make, so no it was not a hit and I never called the movie a “flop” either.

    • Josephina says:

      @ Samira–

Agreed. He is NOT an award winning screen writer or actor. He was never talked about UNTIL he became Maniston’s boytoy. Fact.

Jenhens can inflate his credentials all they want— Rock of Ages DID NOT DO WELL… Wanderlust DID NOT DO WELL. THIS IS JUSTIN FEDERLINE’S RECORD over the last 7 months. THIS IS WHOM Jen said yes to when proposed. THIS is his current “film” record for year 2012. It is what is is.

  5. PHD in Gossip says:

can we focus please on the fact that they were separated for weeks and on the eve of the Pitt Jolie rumored wedding, Jen panics and freaks. Jen orders up an “engagement” so she can appear happy and in the news. I think the deal was that Justin agrees to the engagement if he doesn’t have to be with her, just riding on the publicity too.
Angie, ever the pro, bested Jen again and cancelled. Boom! now Jen is stuck with a fake and phony engagement and no one is interested.
    pathetic.
if we keep talking about this, Justin will be forced to fly to her latest movie location and do a few photo ops.
it happened last time it was suggested they broke up.
    let’s go!

    • Eva (not Eve) says:

They were apart for two weeks whole she was working. And that first two weeks, he traveled to LA right around the time the trades announced he’s closed the deal on that Fereel/Carell movie. And he was in NC on set several days before his birthday, when they flew to NYC.

And everyone with two brain cells knew the J-Ps weren’t getting hitched that weekend. It was wishful thinking by British tabs. X17 sent photos over several days before and it was nothing.

      Not everything is a conspiracy.

    • mln76 says:

Just my personal opinion…I don’t think the engagement was a hoax but I do think like many, MANY women Jen gave Justin an ultimatum engagement or out (wasn’t that the US weekly story the week before they announced?).
And the fact is whether or not she believed that the JP wedding was happening that weekend or not Jenny-Poo wanted her engagement story out and fast. She dropped the story right after the Olympics(if she announced a day earlier no one would have noticed/cared) and before the tabs closed insuring she’d get the most covers. Nothing low-key about that. If she hadn’t announced and just worn a ring or not their may have been rumors around set but nothing concrete with out a picture of a ring.
Also just like Kaiser said if they hadn’t announced everyone would be assuming they were splitsville. My guess is they are together but why doesn’t the hipster douche go write his shitty screenplays in NC near Jen? They do have typewriters there.

      • Janet says:

Good question. For an engaged guy he seems to be spending an awful lot of time away from her, and it’s not like he has to. He can work from anywhere.

      • spinner says:

        @ min76-poo & Janet

Please see comment #24 by allenpoe. That should clear things up.

  6. Shitler says:

I don’t care how big a feminist a guy claims to be. No man(not 1!) likes to be called Mr his-significant-others-name. To me it’s insulting & emasculating

    • Dinah says:

      Interesting p.o.v./ generalization.

I knew a guy who took his wife’s last name, not b/c of support of feminism, but because he so despised his father/family of origin that he wanted to completely sever ties with him/them.

I wouldn’t consider that emasculating. I consider that a sh-tload of personal strength.

    • Nanea says:

My husband took my name when we got married, as a commitment to me, and not as a decision against his family.

  7. Rhea says:

Nothing new here. Move along people.

  8. Sabrine says:

Yeah just what I was thinking. This is a non-story, zero substance. Next…

  9. The Original Mia says:

Victoria doesn’t need Jen to cement nada. Her latest line received rave reviews. That said I dont see Jen going with her over her usual face designers. That is if there is actually going to be a wedding.

As far as Mr. Jennifer Aniston, well…that’s who he is. It’s what he signed up for.

  10. spinner says:

VB design would be a great choice for Jen. Sleek, simple lines & class all the way. I wonder if VB would incorporate her signature back zipper into the dress? Justin seems like a confident man’s man & I think he is secure with his own identity. I love them together. They have been spotted in LA & on-set. They are just keeping a low profile.

    • TrustMeOnThis says:

      “Signature back zipper?” LOLOLOL!
Oh please. As if she even actually designs any of “her” stuff! These celebrity “designers” are the worst.

      • spinner says:

You know…where the zipper is the entire length of the dress…from neckline to hem. Not just a back zipper. LOL!!

  11. DenG says:

Uh, I thought the alleged wedding was supposed to be low key, blah, blah–not the Big Event. We’re not all stupid–give us some credit, tabloids and publicists.

  12. G says:

Doing a second wedding dress for a middle aged woman is hardly a huge “get” for Beckham.

    • spinner says:

Oh, but it would be a huge “get.”
And guess what…SURPRISE!! You’re going to be middle aged someday too. I hate it when people try to use age as an insult.

      • TrustMeOnThis says:

        +1

She should go with Carolina Hererra, though. A real designer, not a hack.

      • Becky1 says:

        +2!

I remember being in my early 20’s and making derogatory comments about people being “middle aged.” I’m 40 now and realize how obnoxious and immature I must have sounded.

  13. Mac says:

The buzz surrounding Justin Theroux is now at a fever pitch.

While Jenn is filming, it is a perfect opportunity to showcase Justin on his own while in his own element.

When We’re the Millers wraps the love-fest will be back on in full force.

Justin is getting everything he bargained for and is probably laughing at the insults.

  14. Eva (not Eve) says:

They were together at least a week ago, in LA and then NC. Saturday was the first time he’d been papped in over 2 weeks, when he’d previously been papped every day.

  15. KellyinSeattle says:

I hope they just hurry up and elope; save us the misery.
Jen will just wear her same old designers if she does have a big wedding. Victoria outclasses her.
“Now” being referred to as the future Mr. Aniston?” He’s always been that….
I don’t get his appeal at all…and I think it’s tacky if they have a huge wedding; hope Heidi crashes/ruins it with a “what the hell…I was w/ you 14 years and you didn’t marry me (not that I want you anymore, Squiggy)….and after one year you marry for money?”…

  16. Micki says:

    He must be simply trilled!
After years of being the important one in a couple…eeek

  17. Jaded says:

As long as she can wear her wedges of doom with her wedding dress she’ll be happy.

  18. Sassenach says:

So he was sitting front row at the Alexander Wang show? I mean….

  19. Anon says:

I thought that JustJen bought a house in LA, said NYC was like a fishbowl with all the paps, cough.

  20. Belle Epoch says:

There is so much overcompensating going on in these photos it is hilarious! Lots of black leather despite heat? Check. Giant black boots? Check. Huge expensive high powered motorcycle? Check. Giant helmet to give him bobble head? Check. Poor guy needs a lot of enhancements.

Also has anyone else noticed a big mole in his eyebrow? That’s why it looks arched.

    • Brigit says:

And the boots look a little too evenly and carefully scuffed, like it wasn’t done by natural wear. I think they are faux-scuffed 😉

  21. skuddles says:

I see a big fall-out ahead. Eventually he’ll have to come to terms with the fact he’s no longer edgy Mr Writer guy, he’s just douchey Mr. Aniston guy.

  22. RobN says:

Kind of astounded how many women here seem to think it’s such an insult to be known as Mr. Whomever. We all claim we want these nice, sensitive men who appreciate us, and yet when somebody seems to do that, we jump on the emasculation bandwagon. No wonder men think we’re all crazy.

    • Thea says:

Thank you. I come here to watch the psychological BS that entails. In fact, you can set your clock to the posts, i.e. fat, cheeto eating, basement dwellers, name calling, haters, blah blah. Makes my psych practice seem dull. And cue flame wars in…..3…2…..1

    • spinner says:

      +2 yes & yes!!

  23. anom says:

man, this guy is short and ugly.

  24. allenpoe says:

Everyone’s entitled to feel about him as they like, but it would be nice if facts were reported and discussed, not lies. I mean if you have to make up things to find fault with him or his and Aniston’s relationship, then your opinion is obviously tenuous and flawed from the start.

So with that in mind, here’s the truth this site seems incapable of reporting: Aniston and Theroux have actually been together for more than half her shoot so far. They left LA on July 21st (there are candid photos of this), she going to Wilmington, he to NYC. They spent two weeks apart with her filming in NC while he flew between NY and LA finalizing his latest contract – directing and writing Swear to God with Farrell and Carrell. He flew down to NC on August 2nd and spent the week there with her before they traveled to NY for the weekend of his birthday and the engagement. There were twitter sightings of him in Wilmington from this time. They both returned to NC on August 12th despite People claiming otherwise. Neighbors of theirs on Figure 8 Island where they are staying in a rented beach house tweeted about him being there the week after the engagement. He returned to NY on August 17th, and was papped several times there before returning to NC on August 23. Twitter sightings of him on set that night from people involved with the production confirm this. They then both traveled to LA the following day (confirmed by LA Twitter sightings) for a week, where they had dinner with Courteney Cox. They returned to NC on August 30th and there were several Twitter sightings of them at their rented home, and even Twitpics of him running on the beach outside it. He remained in Wilmington until this past weekend when he returned to NY, was seen at the Wang fashion show and has been papped for the pics included in this post.

It’s pretty easy to tell when he is in NY since he’s fairly constantly papped there now (literally practically daily). And from that breakdown, he has been with Aniston on location for more than half the shoot (4 out of the 7 weeks since she started shooting). And from the tweets of those involved with the production, the hours have been quite long, and they have been shooting through some weekends, so it’s no surprise he’s not been there the entire time. Plus, he does have his own career and projects and meetings, etc. People slate him for not having enough of a career, yet now they expect him to drop everything and be with her 24/7 and for them to ensure the mainstream media knows it. He can’t win with some.
