Lana del Rey is still everywhere, people, so I guess it makes sense that Lana del Rey attended a private concert in Lana del Rey’s honor in New York City last night. The party was hosted by H&M to celebrate Lana del Ray’s new print ad campaign for the label’s LA Noir line and the creepy television spot that was intended as a homage to filmmaker David Lynch. As such, Lana del Rey got up onstage and performed a rendition of “Blue Velvet” just like she did in the commercial. It’s Lana del Rey’s world, and you’re just permitted to live in it whilst taking great care to duck those fake lips.
On the red carpet, Lana chose an all-black look, which included a little minidress and tuxedo jacket all wrapped up with a semi-sheer black skirt with strategic slits to show off Lana’s stems. She’s also dyed her hair a very rich, dark brown that is admittedly a very flattering look for the singer turned songwriter. Her makeup was very understated in general even if she went a bit heavy on the black eyeliner, but I think she’s trying to look retro in a very non-manufactured kind of way.
I know that it’s slightly cruel to focus on her lips, but I can’t help myself in the case of Lana — they do look a bit smaller in these photos, right?

I didn’t notice any difference from the last time we’ve seen her, but she definitely fixed her nose before rising to fame as Lana del Rey. The bridge of her nose is freakish looking. In an old footage of Lizzie Grant, she appears with much smaller lips, a nose bump and less proeminent eyebrows.

She doesn’t even look like the same person. whoever did the nose job (or nasal corrective surgery, since the bump on the bridge can actually be a result of a past break)..did a really nice job.
I hope mine turns out that well when they correct my bump-from-a-break-years-ago…

She reminds me of Lily Munster, but Lilly looked sexy. The color is bad for her; it drowns her out.
They aren’t smaller, her lipstick just looks decent for the first time ever.
i dont think her lips are actually less puffy, its the use of foundation around the edges to minimize the juice factor

if you’re going to fill your lips so as to cause me to focus on them (and they’re terrible looking lips btw) then at least take the time to wax off your mustache!

you guyz just don’t get it…she’s just SO into writing deep-meaning and powerful lyrics to take the time to wax. who has time to care about their appearance when they’re invested in making music and being super artsy~~ besides, it’s a new fashion statement..you guys have probably never heard of it.

that’s why fake lips look so stupid. it puffs out your whole mouth around the actual lips.
I love the hair color, but she would look so much better without the sausage lips. Girl, we know your lips are fake when your top lip is twice the size as your bottom.

When you’re attempting to be a glam fashion girl, it is not very wise to become the face (lips) of tacky cheap brands like H&M.

She looked better before all the cosmetic procedures. I have no idea why she had anything done, except maybe she wanted the vamp look? It might have been harder to pull of before because she had a cute face, but that might just have been the bleach blonde hair and the styling. She used to look vaguely Emma Watson-ish in some shots.

Even if her daddy did buy her a record deal (which he didn’t) people still bought 2 million copies of her album on their own.

I prefer Lana with the red hair and further, I would’ve loved to see her in a bit of color. Personally, I could give 2 shite’s about the size of her lips. It’s 2012 plastic surgery is everywhere and it’s not going away so why make someone feel like crap because they like what they like? I think she’s lovely. I love her album, I actually purchased it and I am someone who hasn’t bought music since the days of cassette tapes, but to each their own. She also seems very sweet to all her fans, takes the time to speak to them and sign autographs so if it’s just her appearance and the fact that she has a rich daddy it just seems silly that that is the only argument.
