Ralph Fiennes looks delicious & slightly creepy in London: would you hit it?

Over the summer, I did a “Ralph Fiennes: would you hit it?” post when he was looking rather unfamiliar and sketchy, most likely because he had grown out an awkward beard to play Charles Darwin. That post was surprisingly popular, and I was pleased to see that some of you could see beyond the Charles Dickens-style and remember Ralph’s powerful beauty. Well, these are new photos of Ralph last night at the BFI London Film Festival premiere of Great Expectations – this is the same premiere where Helena Bonham Carter looked AWESOME. Ralph plays Magwitch in the film. Incidentally, the film is getting rave reviews!

Anyway, Ralph is obviously looking “better” when you compare him to the Dickens-style a few months ago. I prefer my Ralph in some kind of suit or, failing that, one of his English Patient costumes. His hairline is rather wonky and sad, but I do like that Ralph hasn’t gone in for plugs or a toupee. With that face… he doesn’t need hair. GAH. I would still hit it like a house on fire. I love him so much. So much more than his brother Joseph.

PS… There’s some bonus “Robbie Coltrane: would you hit it?” in here. I would not hit it, but I wouldn’t mind having lunch with Robbie.

    Yep.

    • Christina says:

      Me too.

He’s ageing really well – but with that kind of face, and those kind of features, that’s to be expected. So much sexier than his slightly dorky looking brother, who peaked somewhere around 1998. Wearing a ruff and tights.

      • kibbles says:

I found his brother, Joseph Fiennes, to be incredibly sexy in Shakespeare in Love. The Fiennes family has some good genes.

      • nikko says:

I think both brothers are fine, but Ralph is my favorite. I was one that said I would hit it when he had the beard and I definitely hit him again and again now that he’s all clean up.

      • Christina says:

        @kibbles

Yeah, Joseph was very hot in ‘Shakespeare In Love’ and ‘Elizabeth’. But that was some time ago. If you saw the pics of him last week, he’s just not that hot anymore – not bad, by any means, but not the babe he once was. He’s not ageing nearly as well as his brother, even though he’s 13 years younger!

  2. Boo says:

    Nope. Never fvck the Voldemort.

  3. TheOriginalKitten says:

There is nothing even remotely “delicious” about this dude. Gross.

    • gg says:

He used to be a little intriguing, but now, to me he just looks like a predator. And after the in-flight bathroom boink he had with the stewardess, he just seems skeevy.

Anyway, even without the personal life, he always plays the jilted, desperate, whining, cloying lover that won’t leave the leading lady be. And not aging well, at ALL.

    • CTgirl says:

That “powerful beauty” has been replaced by powerful average. He really isn’t that appealing anymore.

    • roxy750 says:

      LOL! Well said.

  4. LeeLoo says:

So…if this is Judi Dench’s last Bond movie as M, does anyone else think Ralph will be the new M? I hope he’s the new M.

Ralph really doesn’t do it for me. Joseph Fiennes does. Now I can’t remember, is Joseph his cousin or his younger brother? I remember hearing they are related but I just don’t remember how.

Robbie Coltrane and Brendan Gleeson could be twins. I seriously thought you were mistaken for a second.

    • Amelia says:

Ralph probably won’t be the new M. If the few details about the plot and characters are anything to go by, his character is a bit of a tosser who tries to regulate the security services. I think they’ll most likely go with someone completely new. Personally I hope it’s Bill Nighy or maybe Kenneth Brannagh.

      • wild flower says:

I’d watch Kenneth Branaugh in anything. And yes, I’d hit it. Kenneth I meant. Not Ralph, ever. Not a fan of bad teeth.

      • LeeLoo says:

Omg! PLEASE make it Kenneth Brannagh!!! Oh and I answered my other question Ralph and Joseph are siblings. Ralph being the eldest of 6 and Joseph being the youngest.

Also, Joseph would make an excellent Bond. Just saying…

Sigh…sure, why not, but only with dimmed lights.

  6. Eleonor says:

    Voldemort is hot.

  7. lower-case deb says:

    Awwww… Ralph! Ralph!
    *wags tail*

  8. aims says:

I thought he was hot in quiz show. Loved that movie. Not so much now for me

  9. Rll says:

He’s got that presence that you can’t see in static photos, but in real life rawr

  10. Abby says:

I always get him mixed up with Liam Neeson, except Neeson looks really good right now–better than Ralph. I love them both so much. Incidentally, both are old enough to be my dad so this comment is kind of creepy.

  11. The.princess.leia says:

OT: Kaiser check out the pics at the Daily Mail of a happy Stefani-Rossdale family.

  12. Tracy says:

He’s definitely a forever dong. With those eyes, please! But now that he’s older, I unquestionably see it being a little freakier, which is way hotter. I wouldn’t fall in love with this Ralph, just lust.

  13. Micki says:

    yes, from every possible angle

  14. Ali says:

    Yes, and twice on Sundays.
He’s the thinking-girls’ bit of crumpet… every slightly tortured, posh but not unapproachably so, beautiful, artistic centimetre of him. Yum yum…
(it’s the eyes, I think… there is something in his stare that makes me think you would find yourself doing something you swore you never would)

    • Arock says:

Like being made into a lampshade. Beautiful in his prime, skeevy in his mid, mr. Burns in 20 yrs.

      • Ali says:

Watch “The English Patient” (if you haven’t already) and tell me he isn’t the most beautiful creature you’ve ever seen! : )

PS: Got the lampshade reference – you do understand that playing a Nazi in a movie doesn’t make you one, right?

  15. silken_floss says:

Y’all can have him. Yuck -_-

  16. effy says:

Likes him bunch, but never got the urge to hit and never would.

  17. j.eyre says:

    In an airplane bathroom yes.

He’s Magwitch? I don’t know if I am thrilled or traumatized. I had a hard enough time with his conclusion in the book. Put Ralph’s face to that and oh! I simply must see this adaptation…

  18. Ginger says:

    Such beautiful eyes

  19. Chrissy says:

Well, he doesn’t look as great as he used to when he had more hair, but at least he’s embracing it and not doing some awful John Travolta hair. He’s aging(we all are you know) and he looks good for his age.

  20. Mouse says:

Heathcliff first, then Fitz. (Cracker, anyone?) 🙂

There’s a particular kind of hot that applies to people that age gracefully. They both have it.

  21. dooliloo says:

I saw all of them on the red carpet, Bellatrix, Hagrid and Lord V-uh-oh! he-who-must-not-be-named.

Yes I’d do him. And I’d even go to WeirdKinky-Land and get him to put on his He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named costume from top to toe, and then have him bite/eat me..slowly..hmmm.. well you know what I mean!

  22. Sara says:

All of you silly people that would not hit it,GOOD! More for me. Ralph is the most beautiful and talented actor in the history of the world! Ahh! I love me some Ralph!

  23. Amy says:

Are those dandruff flakes all over his jacket in the fourth photo down? 🙁

    • k says:

No, those are not dadruff flakes. I was watching a video of this premiere, and there was some white stuff flying around.

Plus, somehow I can’t see Ralph Fiennes leaving the house with dandruff on his coat….

  24. alice says:

my friend hit this and i so would too!

  25. LL says:

He was at the ‘Hyde Park On Hudson’ premiere and looked absolutely gorgeous & sexy. Best I have seen him look in a long time.
