Honest question – if you were humiliated by your cheating spouse and you were famous – would you invite the paps to document your dates? Even if, say, it was a third date with a certain guy. (Which I doubt Jennie Garth is doing, since this is the third guy she’s been linked to since her split in March.) I understand the urge, I really do, but I think that Jennie should have kept a lid on it after she was linked with that guy from HGTV, and then that photographer. In no universe am I saying that Jennie should not date, I’m just saying she might want to keep it on the down low until she gets serious with someone, which doesn’t seem to be happening. Jennie was photographed on a date with another guy, a real estate agent. (He looks like Brian Austin Green!) People Magazine has the official story that she’s “dating a few people and is happy.” Why does she have to tell us about it and go to a paparazzi hotspot? If a reality star dates and no one’s there to spread the word, did it really happen? Here’s the story from People:
Fresh off the heels of a total body makeover, Jennie Garth is adapting well to life as a single lady.
Recently photographed out and about with real estate agent Jason Clark, a source tells PEOPLE, “She is dating a few people and is happy.”
Garth, 40 – who divorced Peter Facinelli in March – is also still seeing photographer Noah Abrams.
“She is focusing on herself, work and the kids,” the Garth insider says. “And dating.”
Along with her newly single status, the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star has also learned to embrace her age.
“Forty is like the new little black dress,” she told PEOPLE earlier this month. “Forty is the new 30.”
Well I like that “forty is the new 30” business, since I’ll be forty next year. And I love that Jennie is working it and that she’s dating and not just sitting around moping. She’s going to enough events to show that she’s doing well, though, she doesn’t need to document her dates and tell People Magazine about it. This tells me that she’s still got something to prove to her ex, but I don’t blame her. She went through a lot this year. Plus, as mentioned she’s a reality star now. This is what they do, they sell us their lives and their life stories. I was hoping for something else from Jennie.
Radar has some more details about their date, they say that it was the first date, and that Jennie’s date is not a “real estate agent,” but “the managing director of healthcare solutions at Jones Lang LaSalle a financing firm specializing in commercial real estate.” So he’s more of a corporate type. Well I hope that this works out for her and that her date doesn’t mind being photographed. It seems like talking to the press about your dating life is a way to mess up a new relationship, but a relationship may not be her objective.

I’ve never had the urge to date multiple people at the same time. Seems like a giant headache waiting to happen. Lol. She looks great in the photo when she is leaving the restuarant by herself.
I’ve never been able to do this either, nor have I ever really wanted to. Seriously — I barely have time or the energy to be involved with one person.
Oh please, of all the “exposure” whoring celeb’s do in Hollywood, Jennie’s purposefully going to paparazzi hotspot (if the story is true) has got to be one of the most benign in I’ve-Sold-My-Soul-For-Hollywood history.
I am glad she is dating and having fun. Good for her. If I found that my husband cheated, my marriage was over and I’m in my 40’s, I would do exactly what she is doing…enjoying life as a mature single mother/woman.

Yes, I agree with you. The glammed up photos of her look not so great–the hair, the make up and the color seems to age her about 10 years . . she looks better when she’s more casual.
If her husband cheated, I don’t blame her for trying to rub it in his face that she’s moved on though, although can you imagine how awkward those dates are with photographers snapping pictures? yikes.

She is actually one of the few people who could probably use some lip injections.
Lip injections never, ever look good and no one “needs” them.

I don’t blame her because it’s probably her way of saying to her ex, “look at what your are missing”. She looks fabulous, she should have fun and enjoy her single life. She should probably call Cameron Diaz and have a girls night out.

Ever since I saw the photos of her hosting a pool party in Vegas, this woman has reeked of desperation to me. She can do this classily but she’s not, IMO.
Terrible hair. And I agree that she should be keeping more on the downlow, because she’s seeming desperate. She can look great, but that isn’t going to make her ex jealous or see the error of his ways – 1. he’s a douche, and 2. he’s an actor in Hollywood in a franchise that appeal to young people – he has no problems dating chicks in their 20s, and when you’re 40, you can look as great as you want, but you can’t compete in the looks dept with a 25 yr old. I say this as a 40-yr old woman. She needs to actually move on, not just make a show of moving on. The fact that she’s making a show of it says to me that she’s not over it and is trying to prove something.
I tend to agree with you CB. I think splashing your dates over the pages of People and the like will not work in favor for any sustained relationship and she would be wise to wait until she has a few dates under her belt.
However,if what she wants is simply to be seen dating, I have no problem with this tactic. I like her and she has had a rough time of it.
She was nowhere to be found for years and years after 90210 and then all of the sudden she’s getting a divorce and is back on the scene in a major way? She’s getting a reality show too? Seems to me like maybe she used her divorce to to boost her career and get people noticing & talking about her again. I think that is sad.
She is desperate to stay young and relevant. This, in turn, is making her look old.
At this point she just needs to get it over with and join a Real Housewives Show.

I dunno, I’m having trouble feeling sorry for her. She had a huge amount of fame in her 20’s, she was stunning, and she earned mountains of cash. Then she married a philandering pretty boy douche bag and ended up getting a divorce. She’s still way better off than most women out there, even with her divorce being public.
this woman’s crying for publicity and attention. and inside has it that she did tip off the papz. she needs to to face the fact that her attempts will never outshine her ex and instead is making her look pathetic. she had her fame, her time has past and yes, she does look like suzanne sommers. these poor guys she’s teetering with have no clue that they’re getting involved with a closet nutcase.
