Sandra Bullock and Louis dress up as Toy Story characters for Halloween

Here’s some more of our ongoing Halloween coverage, which I’ve so excited about since I freaking love Halloween. This year my kid went as Boba Fett from Star Wars and I did some skeleton face makeup. (I followed this tutorial on YouTube, which was awesome and made an excellent skeleton face.) Admittedly, I do skeleton face makeup just about every Halloween because it’s an easy way to get a scary look without having to buy new makeup and costumes. I wish more people would go for scary and/or unattractive Halloween looks instead of sexy costumes where they’re basically themselves as some character in a tiny outfit. (Not that I haven’t done that, but catwoman was Michelle Pfeiffer the last time I did it.)

So first we have Sandra Bullock as cowgirl Jesse from Toy Story and little Louis as Buzz Lightyear. I love Sandra’s hair, it’s so authentic! These two are adorable and it’s great to see how big Louis is getting. This has me all happy wondering if Louis got to meet Sandra’s Incredibly Loud costar, Tom Hanks, and if he realized that Tom was Woody. What a thrill that must be for a kid to meet the voice of one of the characters in their favorite movies. Toy Story is a huge hit around my house and it’s one of the few kids franchises that I’ve seen multiple times and still enjoy. Pixar can really bring it.

Courteney Cox and her eight year-old daughter, Coco, were out in Brentwood for lunch yesterday. Little Coco wore this cute purple and blue tutu paired with a striped shirt and some tights she’s written on. I’m not sure if this is her Halloween outfit, or just a fun lead-up to her Halloween costume, which may have been epic and creative according to Courteney. She told People Magazine that Coco takes after her dad, David, and that she designed her own costume as a “half angel-half devil,” but added that Coco had another costume worked out first. “At one she wanted to be a baby-old man-detective and she had this whole outfit planned out. She had a bib, she had a mustache, glasses, a pacifier, and I was like, ‘That’s very David, isn’t it?” That’s cute! I wish we had a pic of Coco in her costume.

Chloe Moretz, 15, was a kind of goth chick in a tattered dress sporting long wavy hair and dark eyemakeup. (Her outfit might be a vampire, but I don’t know who she’s supposed to be specifically.) I love this. It’s kind of pretty and feminine without showing too much skin. She looks like she’s having a lot of fun too. Chloe was headed to Jonathan Ross’ Halloween party in London.

Alyson Hannigan, Alexis Denisof and their adorable kids, Satyana, three and a half, and Keeva, five months, were a family of colorful glittering seahorses. Look at their matching shoes! This is so whimsical and cute! Dad Alexis is even carrying the baby, just like a male seahorse. Alyson is known for her wonderful Halloween costumes, and I swear this family brings it every year.

omg louis is freaking adorable!!! and so are alyson hannigan’s kids. that family is always photographed btw? so odd..

  2. emperorcupacke says:

The pics of Alyson’s family made me giggle like a little girl. They are so stinking cute!

    • Rachel says:

And I love that Alexis goes along with it every year. You won’t find many men who will go out in public – knowing they’re going to be photographed – dressed up as a shiny seahorse.

    • UNF Joan Jett! says:

      Aww, super cute!

  3. Erinn says:

Aww I love all the costumes. We had two trick or treaters this year. TWO. And they came to the house before I got out of work.

A lot of people at the office brought their kids in though, and it was pretty adorable.

    • the original bellaluna says:

I’m so bummed! 🙁 Our Halloween was rained-out, so our little Spiderman just got to wear his costume around the house. And we had not a single trick-or-treater.

It’s times like these when I miss SoCali!

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

Aw poor little Spiderman! So sad 🙁

Where I live, the Halloween celebration is SO cute-we get tons of trick-or-treaters and they do an all-kids parade through the village center so the kids get to show off their costumes. Then they have a set “trick-or-treating” time where the streets get closed off and everyone opens up their houses to the kids. It’s so fun, particularly because it’s an urban/city environment, it’s nice that the kids get to go door-to-door and feel safe.

      • Erinn says:

Oh man, that stinks. Poor kiddo. We had some bad thunder and lighting and very heavy rain from Sandy as it moved up the coast (nothing compared to the poor people that got nailed by it), but luckily it dissipated and it was a beautiful, warmish night last night. We never get many trick or treaters though. We have a long, dark driveway. And we’re juuuust outside of the town limits so most kids went into the town where the houses are a bit more dense.

      • j.eyre says:

OBella – I’m sorry. Come back to So Cali sometime and Spidey can come trick or treating at our house – whenever. The Halloween box is always an arm grab away for decorating and I can find something to give him – does he like small dogs?

      • Aqua says:

Rained out on the West Coast too! only had 12 kids. The up side is we get to eat all the candy!

      • Me Too says:

We had tons of rain but it didn’t stop the trick or treaters. Love this time of year! Kids are so cute. And I really like Sandra B. She seems like such a real person; not a diva. And, she looks genuinely happy. How she ended up with the d-bag she did is beyond me.

    • bluhare says:

You guys should move to my mom’s neighborhood. They decorate and people come from everywhere to trick or treat. Last year she had 650 by 7:00pm when she ran out of candy. She said at one point they were lined up down her driveway. This year, they closed the street and had police there for traffic. For real.

  4. PrettyTarheel says:

Ok, I have to admit-these are all pretty adorable. I love that the Buffy alums are still together-and always get into their costumes. I love it when parents get in on the act. This year BabyTarheel was a Bumblebee, and MrTarheel was a Beekeeper. It was pretty darn cute. (I wore fangs to work, which is pretty much what I do every year since I have a fitted pair that are really easy to wear.)

  5. TheOriginalKitten says:

So funny looking at this after the Liberty post. Guess she didn’t get the memo? 😉

Bullock and her son look so frickin cute-actually, all the costumes are cute and appropriate.

    • emmie_a says:

This post just makes Liberty look all the more desperate, doesn’t it!

And I love the family-themed costumes. Sandra & Alyson are so cute.

  6. I Choose Me says:

Love the Denisof/Hannigan family costumes. And how cute is little Louis as Buzz Lightyear? Sandra also looks great and like she’s having a ton of fun.

  7. effy says:

Louis is one of my fav celeb kids! so cute!!

Alyson and her family, so adorable!

  8. CG says:

I LOVE how Louis is throwing shade at the photographer in the third pic. And Courteney Cox really needs to stop screwing around with her face.

    • Lem says:

Courtney always looks (lately) as if her face is in extreme emotional pain. Does that make sense? Like, she’s in the middle of an epic heartbreaking meltdown, yet she’s actually not sobbing ‘at the ocean’. What a horrid expression to have your face stuck in

  9. Lem says:

I love beggars night! I love creative costumes. I love that my kids are old enough, my girlfriends and I can hold down the sidewalk while the kids hit all the driveways.
I dis-love that most purchase-able girl costumes are slutty. We saw many teenage boys with awesome thought out costumes and many teenage girls who were slutty cats, slutty bunnies or slutty zombies.

  10. mia girl says:

Allison Hannigan and family are all kinds of Halloween awesome.

  11. Loulou says:

I’ll be chewed up for this but I think Sandra B has to let in more happiness in her life. Her son has an overly mature expression which can come from deep empathy with his mom. Her ex is not worth marking two people for life. And two people can’t exist simply for each other. The boy is not a panacea for the pain. I’ve said it.

    • Bodhi says:

My son is a giggly, goofy little toddler, but almost never smiles in photos. My mom prints out pics from FB & puts them all over her office & one of her co-workers was actually worried that I don’t talk to him or play with him. Which is total BS.

I get what you are saying, but I wouldn’t worry about it. Given how smiley Sandra is in these pictures, I’m betting that he is more like my little guy than “band-aid baby”

    • Kim says:

Well he had the same expression as a newborn so maybe he was born that way. Maybe it’s pain from his birth mother

    • Melissa says:

I think you’re reading too much into this. My older daughter was a serious baby, and she was wanted, loved, played with, etc. Some kids are just more serious than others.

    • Laura says:

I love them together! He’s so adorable-the kind of kid I want to adopt one day. But I’ve never seen one pic of him looking at her or with his arms around her. He seems weirdly disconnected from her.

  12. T.C. says:

Love Sandra and Louis as Toy Story characters. Miley wins this year followed by these two.

  13. Ellie66 says:

How nice no slutty….whatever! Lol! Louis gives the best side eye, he is a doll!

  14. Bodhi says:

The Hannigan/Denisof always has the BEST family costumes!! The kangaroo one makes me awwwww every time I see it. But I cringe every time I see a baby in one of those crotch dangler carriers. They aren’t good for baby’s hips & celebs can certainly afford a better carrier.

  15. MollyB says:

My two and a half year old has never shown a desire to watch anything but Sesame Street. Sesame Street, Sesame Street, Sesame Street. But we were all way-laid with the stomach flu a few weeks ago and I threw on Toy Story, expecting her to object and demand Sesame Street. Instead she became instantly OBSESSED. I still enjoy it, though. The whole trilogy rocks.

  16. Sisi says:

    so adorable.

    And about Tom Hanks voice…
Every year around christmas and Sinterklaas (dutch event) people I knew very well dressed up as Santaclaus or his helpers and I NEVER recognized them, even though I heard their voices daily 🙂

  17. Stubbylove says:

Alyson/Alexis & Sandra B. are the best. Confident, fun parents = confident, fun family. Love it!

  18. the original bellaluna says:

Sandra & Alexis/Alyson are my faves, too! 🙂 This really makes me miss living in SoCali – our Halloween was rained out. Not a single trick-or-treater, and the rain never let up enough to even take our little Spiderman to a couple houses down the block!! 🙁 So he ran around the house, wearing his costume and eating candy.

  19. Common sense says:

LOUIS! Love this little boy, him and his mom are the cutest. I love their costumes 🙂

BTW there are at least a dozen pics of Louis happy and smiling on different occasions. Just don’t get the ‘he is never happy’ comments. Goggle is your friend!

  20. DB says:

I sure wish that little boy smiled. I am not sure that I’ve ever seen him smile at all in pictures.

    Hope he is happy.

    • daisydoodle says:

how would you feel if photographers were grappling to get pictures? a little frightening, don’t you think? I’m sure he’s a happy toddler and sandra looks content, I’m sure they are a happy family…

    • Bodhi says:

My little boy smiles & laughs all.the.time but turns it off as soon as a camera shows up. I’m sure he is fine

  21. tracking says:

What wonderful costumes! But Hannigan/Denisof FTW! What an amazing, whimsical family.

  22. Melissa says:

Courtney Cox’s plastic surgery is not aging well, and that matronly bedazzled cardigan isn’t helping matters.

  23. Abby says:

PRECIOUS. I love Sandra’s cheesy outfit and Louis is a DOLL I just want to pinch his cheek.

Allyson’s seahorse family won Halloween though. Props to Dad for going all out too.

  24. cbreader says:

Did Fax jolie-pitt sneak into that laughing pic of Sandra Bullock?

  25. Katie says:

I have always loved Alyson Hannigan but I totally love her even more for being THAT mom! She and Alexis have a precious little family!!

  26. claire says:

    Awww…Sandra and Louis look adorable!

  27. Blue says:

Awww they all look so cute. I love creative costumes. I only saw 2 slutty costumes last night; 2 teenage girls dressed as slutty nuns with their “habits” barely covering their butt cheeks.

  28. Diana says:

How adorable are Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof?! and Sandra? enough said. Cute all over.

  29. Jessica says:

Chloe Moretz looks like she dressed up as a more covered-up version of Taylor Momsen.

  30. Aubra says:

    KING LOIUS!!!

  31. JudyK says:

Lil Louis is so dang cute I can’t stand it!

  32. Barbara says:

The blond boy in the third to last pic looks a lot like Knox Pitt.

Alyson’s family is the cutest thing ever and I love how Sandra also chose something suitable to children from Louis age.

  33. Camille (TheOriginal) says:

Awww, I loved these pics! So much cuteness! 🙂

These photos were a charming palate cleanser after the tacky trashiness of MeAnn, Liberty Martyr and other celeb Sluttoween costumes.

  34. Ella says:

    Sandra Bullock, WINNING.

  35. lucy2 says:

Sandra and Louis look adorable! As does Allison and her family.

Wow, Coco Arquette really looks like her dad!

  36. Jo Darby says:

Think Chloe Moretz is supposed to be a slightly less trash Taylor Momsen.

  37. efwcheryl says:

At my office we decorated and everyone brought candy, then they brought over groups of small children from the day care next door to let them trick or treat by coming to our desks-they were adorable!

  38. Grace says:

    Awwww:)

  39. A Fan says:

I’d vote for refreshing…but mostly because she’s not dressed as “Slutty Toy Story Character”.
