Lsst night, Rihanna didn’t really wear a costume as she was named Queen of the West Hollywood Halloween parade, but she ended up holding onto a sparkly magic wand and wearing a rhinestone-encrusted crown, which I guess qualifies as a “fairy queen” outfit. Kind of disappointing, right? We sort of expect Rihanna to go all out with dramatic outfits on most occasions, and here she almost looks like a civilian with a little black dress and pumps. Well, there is one notable thing to mention here — Rihanna’s already ditched the cropped ‘do for extensions. Too bad. Her short hair looked really great.
Katy Perry decided to attend the Hollywood Cemetary party as Jane Lane, who is the BFF of “Daria.” Katy scores points here by not defaulting to a slutty costume (some variant of pirate, cat, or whatever else), and her wig looks really cute.
Kate Moss and Jamie Hince dressed up as Morticia and Gomez Addams as they attended tellie presenter Jonathan Ross’ party. Jamie pulled off his end of the deal. Kate, not so much.
Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter were at the same party as Kate, and it’s odd to think of Tim and Helena dressing up at all because Halloween occurs nearly every day for them.
Sadly, Avril Lavigne did not dress as ex Deryck Whibley but instead opted to wear this sexy sailor costume. Here’s a photo of her outside BOA Steakhouse. Very unoriginal and very Avril.

I was a fairy queen for last year’s Halloween (Titania from A Midsummer…) so I don’t think it’s too lame :). BUT I put WAY more effort into my costume than Rihanna did. It looks like all she did was put a crown on her head.

Who knew Katy had it in her? Daria it’s still one of the greatest shows MTV ever produced. Loved HBC and Tim Burton.

Rihanna is just wearing a dress and given a wand and crown at the event. She didn’t wear a costume so it’s unfair to call her lame. Did Tim HBC even dressed-up? They don’t look any different except for Tim’s mask. When will the “slutty” whatever fad go away?
