Christina Aguilera still hates Lady Gaga, privately refers to Gaga as “a beast”

You may think that the long-simmering war between Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera is a tabloid fiction, something cooked up by the default-misogynists who control entertainment gossip. You would be wrong. While I don’t believe Gaga has ever directly or indirectly hit out at Christina, Christina has DEFINITELY slammed Gaga publicly, over and over. When asked about Gaga, Christina has been consistently dismissive and rude, then Christina has gone on to copy many elements of several of Gaga’s music videos. Christina has even used her platform on The Voice to slam Gaga, and sources have long claimed that Christina feels like Gaga hijacked the career that was destined to be Christina’s. What I’m saying is that I have no problems believing this new story, in which Christina refers to Gaga as a “beast” and threatens to kick Gaga’s ass.

As a coach on The Voice, Christina Aguilera claims to be all about woman power and sisterhood. But in real life, Star learns that she’s fuming with jealousy over Lady Gaga’s new perfume, Fame.

“Christina is threatened by any successful woman, but Gaga really gets under her skin,” snipes an insider. “Christina’s fragrance line is her baby, and she’s extremely territorial – especially since her album sales have tanked.”

The always-outspoken Xtina isn’t seething in silence, calling Gaga a “beast.”

“When Gaga first arrived on the scene, Christina predicted she’d be a one-hit wonder. It drives her crazy that she was so wrong,” says the insider, adding that Xtina may not stop with just words. “Christina can be really low-class and has been saying she wants to kick Gaga’s ass! They could easily end up at the same party, especially with the holidays coming up. Things could really get out of hand.”

[From Star Magazine, print edition]

“CAN be really low-class”? How about “Christina IS really low-class”? Because she is. There is ample evidence to suggest that she’s a very petty, nasty creature, which means that I believe this story completely. That being said, I don’t think Christina has all that much to worry about – while Gaga’s little monsters are buying up the Fame perfume, I don’t think anyone else is, you know? That being said, I totally forgot that Christina had a perfume line. Let me check… oh… right. Her perfume line is best known for being a massive Photoshop fail. HAhaha.

I love that Christina’s perfume line is referred to as “like her baby”. Hey, Christina, remember your actual child?

  2. Jayna says:

She chose a Lady Gaga for a song or someone else did and Xtina praised the song that Gaga wrote on the Voice. Gaga tweeted Xtina on her great new single. They are fine.

I remember in one of her music videos there was a three second pause to look at her perfume on the dresser. LOL

  4. Gracie says:

I hate both of these Madonna wannabes. I hate Madonna too.

Christina should quit trying to compete with singers like Gaga who are new and exciting to younger fans. She should learn to sing in a way that conveys real emotion instead of relying on showing off and doing complicated vocal tricks. Then she should make an album where she just SINGS.

Her real fans, of which I am not one, admittedly, would like that, I bet.

You obviously are ‘not’ a fan of Christina Aguilera. Everyone who ‘is’ a fan knows that Christina can sing very, VERY well. Instead of criticizing what she does live, try actually listening to one of her CD’s, any one of them, to see that she has a true voice, song writing skills, and can sing in a variety of styles.

Christina is a truly talented and gifted singer, which is why ‘she’ won the ‘Best New Artist’ Grammy over studio voice-enhanced, one-note wonder Britney Spears and Ricky Martins, who were both ‘expected’ to be in competition for the best new artist award.

Talented and tolerable aren’t synonyms. Yeah, she’s hugely talented, but the constant stage masturbation is exhausting. I know Etta liked her rendition, but CA’s performance of ‘At Last’ was Hell’s radio station. Speaking of Beyonce…

If she thinks she invented fame then she should have taken out a patent on it a long time ago. Why is she the only person allowed to have her professional aspirations met. She doesn’t have property rights over this and no one is hoarding the admiration that is rightfully hers to the exclusion of everyone else who picks up a microphone. Where exists the acclaim tank hosts a finite amount of ‘career’ in it and what makes her so certain that Gaga has a magical shunt that is draining the supply and hidden in her sapphire-lined gusset or whatever in the world Costume is wearing this week? I’m not even saying this to endorse one singer over another, I’m saying she doesn’t have a monopoly over the fame game and it sounds like she’s positioning of herself as the only talented person in the world. That seems reactionary and jaundiced to me. According to this line of thinking when someone else gets to have some glory, it is an automatic sentence of guilty because if they get it, the only reasonable explanation is that they got it from her and just started running. Who in the world can find anything valid in a mindset that demands that its humanity’s obligation to cut itself off at the knees in order to venerate one person? That’s stupid.

The reason she’s not selling as well is because her material has suffered and people are tired of the vocal gymnastics that obfuscate the songs and GRATE, talent be damned. And though she otherwise makes me want to defenestrate myself, I’ve got to go back to that old Kelly Osbourne ‘Silent Night’ chestnut. Their ongoing catfight is BEYOND dumb, but that doesn’t mean KO wasn’t on point with this one little thing.

She looks like Evan Rachel Wood.

    • Chris says:

I like Joe you states that an álbum listen, rather than a live listen, is what’s required to appreciate Aguilera and the go on to criticize studio artist.

Christina has a very gifted voice, she just lacks the emotion to go with it.

      • gg says:

She lacks a lot of likeability too, with the sulky way she acts. She’s a strong singer, but her ego is much stronger, and it’s a turn off.

    • gg says:

Evan Rachel Wood has a scalp, with normal hair growing out of it.

    She hates everyone.

    gawd…..

OK, lemme refer to my Junior High school playbook…..ummmm…GROW UP! she is stunted, bigtime. she cannot let go of the grasp she has on that 13 yr old (sorry 13 yr olders out there) teen-bitch/just started my period angst/drama…

“i’mma gonna kick yer ass Gaga! meet me outside under the bleachers after school. I’m gonna play you bitch!”

there just wasn’t any adult EVER keeping her under control was there? I swear my Mom/parents would have disowned me if at..30? i still behaved like that.

“I’mma gonna stick my wad of gum in your hair bitch and spread a rumor to the boys that you have crabs”

  10. Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

Christina is talented but her vocal style relies too heavily on the ‘weasel making love to a gunstock war club’ side of interpretation. She just makes me tired.

    • jani says:

Great description of her vocal style and your analysis of CA’s relationship with fame in the comment upthread was fantastic.

      “Talented and tolerable aren’t synonyms.”
+ Many thousands and I’m putting that on
      a t-shirt.

To be totally honest, I hate Lady Gaga but I have Fame and wear it all the time. When it came out, I thought the whole video/party etc was SO ridiculous, so when I was at the mall I *had* to try it as a joke to make fun of it with my friends.

Well, jokes on be because I freakin’ love it. It’s like the perfume I’d always wanted but could never find. I left in an attempt to just laugh it off, but I was back at the mall three days later buying it. I still hate Lady Gaga, but I love the perfume and wear it often.

    • Katija says:

That’s how I feel about T-Swift’s fragrance!!! I have to lie and say I’m wearing something random.

  12. LucyOriginal says:

I highly doubt that Christina copied gaga since Gaga is known for copying everyone else. Christina came on with the album Dirty where she had outrageous (slutty) outfits and she was always known for her crazy (and weird) hairdos…

I don’t think there is any fight between these two.

  13. Ryan says:

They’re both detestable, in my opinion, so I wouldn’t be surprised if one or both didn’t like the other. That being said, Gaga or no Gaga, Christina would’ve never been as big a hit.

  14. Pinklavender says:

Lady Gaga is only a commercial product. Kids just like her style. Nowaday, kids can’t afford music lessons to actually appreciate advanced music.more people are into RAP,noises and style. If I have kids in the future, I will get my kids to take some music lessons to actually enjoy music.
