Jessica Simpson is reportedly 9 weeks pregnant. For real!!

OMG!! Jessica Simpson is pregnant. AGAIN. Seven months after giving birth to little Maxwell, her first child. Us Weekly is running the story on this week’s cover, although they don’t have a solid confirmation from Jessica or anyone around her. I still think it’s true, though, mostly because I doubt Us Weekly would have put it on the cover unless they were sure. Plus, the Enquirer/Radar has the same story too! The Enquirer says that Jessica is nine weeks along right now and “She’s trying to keep it a secret until she makes it safely through her first trimester.” Here’s what Us Weekly says:

Christmas is still nearly four weeks away, but Jessica Simpson got her biggest — and totally unexpected! — present early: Another baby on the way! Seven months after giving birth to daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson, the star is once again expecting, the new issue of Us Weekly exclusively confirms.

“It definitely wasn’t planned. But yes, Jessica is pregnant again,” a source reveals to Us. The surprise baby-to-be is the second for the singer and Fashion Star mentor, 32, and fiance Eric Johnson. (A rep for Simpson had no comment.)

Engaged for the past two years, Simpson and former NFL pro Johnson, 33, welcomed Maxwell — a whopping 9 pound, 13 ounce bundle of joy! — on May 1 of this year.

And while Simpson felt energized about her admirable 70-pound slimdown post-baby, her greatest inspiration is being a mom.

“Motherhood is a dream,” she told Katie Couric back in September. “It really is absolutely amazing.”

Wishing a Happy Thanksgiving to her 5.7 million Twitter followers Nov. 22, she gushed: “I am so grateful for my new lil family!”

Notes the source of pregnancy number two: “She really is overjoyed!”

[From Us Weekly]

You know what? I love Farty. She is a gift. I love that “it definitely wasn’t planned” and the basic assumption that Farty loves sex and loves to eat and why wouldn’t she get pregnant again right away? I enjoyed her first pregnancy, mostly because she was so over-the-top with her TMI and her lack of diet, but my guess is that she won’t go crazy on the all-you-can-eat buffets this time. But who knows? I’m also guessing that there are some people at Weight Watchers who are going to lose their jobs over this. They paid her all of that money to lose weight, and what does she do? She gets knocked up again right away and she’ll use it as an excuse to walk away from her WW contract.

Oh, and congrats to Jessica and Eric!

  1. J.Simpson says:

Thats because then, i dont need to diet..and after me being preggers(again):W.Watchers, just pays me to lose al the extra baby fat(WHAAHAHA).SO Why not try it AGAIN!

    • Vesper Lynd says:

Jess: no more slutty brownies, fried foods or sugars. Hopefully she learned from her first pregnancy to eat quality food and try to take it easy after childbirth instead of rushing to the gym chasing the almighty dollar.

      • J. Simpson says:

But i love me some all mighty dollars..I have to keep earning so my man cant spend it like he wants to..are he’s gonna leave me.I have a brand and the all mighty dollars to think about y’all.

      • Vesper Lynd says:

LMAO! Like: “Dude, Eric’s givin’ you tuna for chicken, sweety!”

      • anne says:

The first thing I said to myself when I read the heading was “Now she has an excuse not to keep off the weight she did manage to lose.”

        And still not married.

  2. Rhea says:

Well, well, well…This is a surprising gossip. I have to agree. I don’t think—if the story is true—it’s planned. 😀 Congrats!!!

  3. julia says:

Congrats if it is true. My first thoughts were: Oh, she is smart…with a baby on the way, she can keep the money from Weight Watchers and they can kiss her preggo behind.

    • Victoria1 says:

Right??? What a smart way to break out of a contract. I bet there is no pregnancy clause.
Yay I love her too, she’s too funny with her TMI

    • t says:

I wonder if Weight Watchers did pay her? I think her payment from Weight Watchers might be helping her out of the contract without embarrassing her (and themselves) as I predicted on September 12 right here on Celebitchy…lol! I thought she would wrap herself up in a roll of toilet paper on Halloween to announce it though:

“… I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Jessica Simpson wrapped up like a mummy at the end of next month to announce a second pregnancy and this is why…

Weren’t there stories a while back about how Jessica Simpson needed to lose a certain amount of weight by August to qualify for a chance to win the $4 million prize Weight Watchers offered her?

I could easily believe she didn’t make weight because on Couric’s show she just looked not-pregnant-but-girdled. Maybe this whole Katie Couric reveal was a parting gift to Simpson from Weight Watchers. A way for her to save face and announce publicly that she lost 40+ pretend pounds before getting pregnant again as her out for why she had to “quit” Weight Watchers.

She won’t have to admit to being eliminated in round one for failing to lose enough weight and she’ll be able to belly-up to the buttered pop-tart buffet for the next 9 months.”

      • anon says:

Thinak about your comment.. WW is said to approve 1-2 lbs a week & everything after that is bonus so that puts Jess right on target with the WW loss program & maybe better. were forgetting she was not able to exercise etc for 6 weeks & because of breast feeding was allowed more portion to her diet. Jessica did not lose any contract with WW & if anything WW just gained a win as we now will watch a woman eat healthy while pregnant & still maintain a less weight gain. You can bet this contract has been reworked & all gain from it.

      • Becky says:

Maybe she hadn’t lost all the weight yet. However, since those photos over a month ago next to Ashlee at some appearance for her fashion line, she has definetly slimmed down. It is very noticible everywhere, especially her face. I don’t see how she failed to lose her pregnancy weight at all, especially considering how much she had to lose.

      • t says:

        @anon:

Maybe, but maybe you and Jessica are including the weight she lost in the delivery room, but I don’t think Weight Watchers would.

10 pounds of baby plus 10 pounds of afterbirth plus at least 10 pounds of amniotic fluid (remember, her doctor told her she only looked big because of the extra amniotic fluid ;)) adds up to 30 pounds lost immediately after birthing her baby.

So that means she really only lost 10 pounds in the 19 weeks from childbirth to appearing on Couric’s show, and maybe a half a pound a week wasn’t what the contract stipulated.

    • paranormalgirl says:

Actually, this would be the perfect opportunity for Weight Watchers to hang onto her and show how the plan works through pregnancy – because there are parameters on WW for pregnancy.

    • Vesper says:

My first thought was that Jessica once again shows what an idiot she is by believing the myth that women who breast feed cannot get pregnant. It would take too much energy and brain power for her to actually spend ten minutes researching the subject.

It fits in with her many ridiculous comments including the one that she wasn’t aware that most of her pregnancy weight wouldn’t just fade away after she gave birth. After all, she thought it was mostly amniotic fluid.

      • Belle says:

Maybe they just weren’t very careful. Doesn’t mean she didn’t think she could get pregnant.

  4. Cliff says:

Oh that’s amazing news! She seems so happy being a mumma!
    Congratulations!!!
Gain or lose as much weight as you want – it’s not for anyone to judge!

    • RN says:

Yeah! Don’t worry at all about the health of your growing fetus!! You just make sure that YOUR happy by eating loads of processed foods!

      @@

    • claire says:

I’ll judge easily when someone becomes concerned about health and diet *after* their pregnancy, for vanity and money, rather than *during* the pregnancy, for the sake of the health of their baby. No brainer there.

    • Liza Jane says:

I agree..good for her! I really like her, she’s real, says what she does honestly and doesn’t seem to have a mean bone in her body ! I think she’s a sweetheart and it’s sad that she is vilified like this! Congratulations to them both, accident or not.

  5. Tuxedo Cat says:

She seems very very happy about this!!

    Git ‘r done Jessica!!

  6. I.want.shoes says:

No slutty brownies this time around.

  7. Lilalis says:

Haha, my first thought was ‘Now she can stop her diet’ too! 🙂
    Congrats anyway!

  8. Tiffany27 says:

Has her c-section scar even healed yet?!?!? Oh well. Congrats to Jess!

    • megs283 says:

Yeah – don’t the docs tell you to wait a year before getting pregnant again?

Not that I care about Jess’s decision (good for them!) but I’m begrudgingly obeying my own doctor’s orders on a similar topic and misery loves company.

    • MsGoblin says:

      My thoughts exactly!

    • Enny says:

Yes, it’s healed. I speak from experience, having had a c-section exactly 2 weeks after Jessica. However, it’s still not ideal timing, most doctors suggest waiting at least 12-18 mos, whether you’ve delivered vaginally or by c-section, before getting pregnant again because it takes a long time for the body to return to prime baby making and nurturing condition.

    • Sam says:

My doctor used to tell me that the recommended standard for spacing pregnancies is TWO years between births, minimum. That’s what’s recommended both here in the US and abroad. Multiple pregnancies close together come with a ton of risks, including reproductive problems, but it also adversely effects your heart and other organs. That’s part of why less developed nations are in such dire need of birth control.

Hey, I’m sure that Jessica has access to great doctors and the like, and she can do as she pleases. But I can honestly say that for several months after having a baby, I was not too hot on having sex (and when we did, we were the most insane BC users).

      • Enny says:

Sam, waiting the recommended 18 mos before getting pregnant does give you more than 2 yrs between births. 🙂 But, as we know, Jessica was never one to follow dr’s orders.

    • RN says:

It’s much more than that. If the mother ingests a nutritionally-poor diet, the fetus draws whatever nutrients he/she can, thus depleting the mother’s body. This affects the system as a whole and can take years for the mother to recover, especially if she goes on a stringent diet/exercise regimen post-partum. In other words, growing the second fetus is going to be even MORE difficult and the second baby really gets the short end of the stick.

This is about WAY more than weight. This is about nourishing the body and the growing fetus, which clearly Jessica did not do, based on her own reports.

    • Moneypenny424 says:

Holy crap! My baby is one month older than hers (4/1/12) and I can’t imagine being pregnant again right now. Baby is mobile and is a handful right now–we’ll definitely wait a couple of years.

Trust me, I wasn’t willing to take any chances though–I wasn’t engaging in any funny business until an effective birth control plan was in effect!

    • Mr. Stinky FishFace says:

Eh My first child was born in 2/10 and I found out I was pregnant again in 9/10. Its a lot of work and my second pregnancy was very problematic. I wouldn’t say that I hate the 15 month age gap between the two kids, but its a big handful, especially now that they’re both in the terrible twos.

    • Ms Petit says:

I was pregnant with my second son 5 months after I had my first via C-section. It took my husband and I FOREVER to get pregnant the first time around and we thought it would take a long time for the second to happen.. whoops :). So my older boys are 14 1/2 months apart and while it was hard logistically when they were in the infant/toddler stage, it’s been nice that they have played together pretty well as they have been close in their developmental stages

If they had been spaced further apart, I would have been able to attempt a VBAC, but the Dr said that a second C-Section was pretty much mandatory given the short time between births

  9. brin says:

Gulp…er…congrats. Please don’t eat buttered pop tarts and go into detail about your bodily functions.

  10. Sumodo1 says:

…or WW can take lemons and make lemonade with a new program to teach pregnant ladies to eat sensibly so they can avoid toxemia, gestational diabetes, and support a healthy pregnancy. Would that be too much work for JS to rep? Yeah, propbably, but it IS time for WW to do that, along with Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem, etc.

    • Redheadwriter says:

Excellent comment! Now to get WW to read CB and learn a little….

    • MsGoblin says:

      Ooohhhh. You’re good. Excellent idea!

    • TheEntrepreneursWife says:

This is an amazing idea. I’m 17 weeks and had horrible morning sickness. My diet consisted of mac n cheese, pizza and cereal for the first trimester. I am concerned about the implications of not being able to even look at a vegetable for months (even now its rough) and if I could order pre-packaged meals that made me think I was getting carbs but were packed full of nutrition, I’d pay for that for sure.

      Food for thought indeed 🙂

      • the original bellaluna says:

TheEnt’sWife – I wouldn’t worry overmuch. My last two pregnancies (15 years apart) were morning sickness nightmares. With my second, I was throwing up from 4 a.m. to midnight. I survived off of sparkling water and lemon juice. She somehow managed to weigh in at 8 lbs 13 oz.

With my youngest, I had not only morning sickness but vertigo. I crawled around the house, so I didn’t fall. Once I hit my third trimester, I survived on fruit. He managed to weigh in at 8 lbs 9 oz, over three weeks early.

      • TheEntrepreneursWife says:

        @Original Bellaluna

Thank you! This is my first, so that is good to know!

      • Anonny says:

I wondered how I’d get through it, too, but 17-18 wx is about when my nausea ended, as doc predicted, so hang in there. It went from queasiness after every meal to once a day to nothing. Raw vegs are back in my diet (lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, celery, cukes). So there is hope!

The food and scent aversions are also mostly gone (thank god…) and now, at 20 wx, I could eat a horse. (Still not so keen on fish, though.)

      • j.eyre says:

@EntWife – I had a standing order at McDonald’s for both of my pregnancies.

      • the original bellaluna says:

EntWife – No problem. 🙂 I think our first freaks us out the most, because we really don’t UNDERSTAND what’s going on or going to happen with our bodies.

With my first, I was healthy as a horse. I walked to and from work every day, and worked right up until my due date. BUT…I also ate like a horse and gained 73 lbs (I was under-weight when I got pregnant).

With my other two, I actually LOST weight and ended up breaking even by delivery.

Don’t worry. You and baby will be fine.

    • StephanieMarie2685 says:

      Great point!!
      Such a fantastic idea!

    • paranormalgirl says:

      they have pregnancy parameters.

    • Baylor says:

Actually there is nothing that can “prevent” toxima. Toxemia is mostly known as preclampsia nowadays. Study after study as shown that nothing including diet can “prevent” it.

  11. Cece says:

I’ve got to think that her fiance is getting sick of being a lap dog, and a new baby isn’t going to help him gain any self-respect or identity of his own.

    • KellyinSeattle says:

I would have thought they’d have gotten married before having more kids, but whatever. I think the fiance’ doesn’t mind about being a lapdog. Congrats on having after baby sex ………

  12. Samigirl says:

If it’s true, congrats! I can’t imagine having children so close in age!

    • spinner says:

      this is called Irish Twins.

      Congrats, Jessica!!

      • Jessie says:

I have Irish Twins, taking care of two babies so close in age is NO JOKE so good luck to her!

      • epiphany says:

Actually, babies have to be born within the same 12 month period to be Irish twins, i.e., baby born January, Mom conceives again in March, next baby born in December, all in the same year. Jess’s 2 kids will be 14 months apart, so not Irish twins.

      • Samigirl says:

I’m *thisclose* to being an “Irish Twin,” (my brother was born the day after I turned 1). My children are 4 1/2 years apart, and that’s pretty difficult! I just can’t imagine having 2 in diapers, a toddler and a newbie. Seems like it would be frustrating!

      • Mr. Stinky FishFace says:

Actually its common for kids 18 months and under to be called Irish Twins now. Mine are 15 months and we are even in a local group for Irish Twins. Honestly now that one is 18 months and the other is almost 3 its getting more common for people to assume they’re actual twins!

      • the original bellaluna says:

Yeah, Irish Twins is 2 babies within 18 months. Both Hubs and BIL and my cousins are Irish Twins – 18 and 12 months apart, respectively.

    • Nina W says:

Traditionally Irish twins meant two babies within 12 months. My older brother and I are 16 months apart and my brother was hell on wheels, nicknamed “Boom-Boom”, my poor mother. At least Ms Simpson has plenty of help, my mother had to do everything, Dad was always working.

  13. Erinn says:

Ugh. The word ‘lil’ drives me mad. I can’t stand when people use it.

Hopefully, this isn’t a case of “Oh sweet! Bring on the slutty brownies and buttered poptarts!”. Hopefully she’ll keep on her healthier lifestyle, at least while pregnant.

  14. marie says:

well.. she did lose the weight, wonder if it was stipulated in her contract how long she had to keep it off?

    anyway, congrats to them..

    • Esmom says:

My thoughts, too. She did seem to lose the weight so hopefully the WW people can keep their jobs.

    • Vesper says:

Did she really lose that much weight?

There were a lot of rumours going around that she had lipo done on her jawline and most of her lower body to give the appearance that she did lose a lot of weight. She still continues to wear clothes which hide her body, not to mention the extra large purses she is always carrying.

Have there been any additional commercials or ads for WW that actually show her new body?

  15. the original bellaluna says:

What did she think was going to happen? I mean, she was having sex what? 3 weeks after her C-section? The word DUH comes to mind.

Anyway, congrats to them. Nothing like Irish twins! 🙂

aside: Why are all the “first” comments blank today?

  16. Aubra says:

Congrats and happy baby to her!

  17. marta says:

Maybe she can use weight watchers during her pregnancy and not gain 70 pounds this time around. I hate when sexually active people say “its not planned” though. If u are having sex, you are doing something that leads to pregnancy.

    • Tulip says:

@Marta. Fair enough. But I don’t want to picture a world gone celibate. Way to edgy and tense.

    • teehee says:

Agreed Marta— sexual activitie’s purpose is to procreate, to engender a pregnancy, to result in a child. People who conveniently ignore this, are absolute fools.
I dont think marta was trying to promote abstinence– she said no mention of it or the concept, and was jsut pointing out society’s tendency to sell sex as just sex and nothing more– when biologically, it is FAR more than that– it is ultimately the creation of a life.

      • epiphany says:

Excellent point. In modern society, we forget that the purpose of sex isn’t gratification, it’s to propagate our species – the fact that it feels good is our incentive to keep doing it, but it’s not (or shouldn’t be ) the endgame.

  18. Ellie66 says:

Well Good for them! Congrats! 🙂

  19. GoodCapon says:

My first reaction is ‘Again?!’ But it seemed like she was awfully happy when she was pregnant and even after she gave birth; I think she loves motherhood.

    Anyway, congrats to them!

  20. bettyrose says:

I bet it’s not as calculated as all that. She really seems like someone who was meant to be a mom, and why shouldn’t she do whatever heck she wants with her life at this point?

  21. mel2 says:

I hope she doesnt embarass herself by saying she didnt know she could get pregnant so fast after giving birth.

    • the original bellaluna says:

I have to say that I was honestly floored when I got my first period so soon after delivering my first child, because everyone had told me “Well, nursing keeps you from having your period.”

No. No, it does NOT. And it doesn’t stop you from ovulating, either.

      • Minxx says:

I was nursing exclusively and pretty much around the clock and I still got my period 6 months after giving birth. I expected it to come after a year or so. You can’t rely on this for contraception!

  22. neelyo says:

Isn’t this exactly what happened to Britney? I think these former child pop stars have little to no education, including about sex, so she probably had no idea she could get pregnant.

And it sucks that there are people at Weight Watchers who will probably lose their jobs over this and she’ll walk away with a payout.

    • Vesper says:

U don’t need an education to spend a few minutes reading up on the subject or, even easier, ask your doctor for advice. I assume she does know how to use a computer.

      • Belle says:

Not sure why it is so offensive to you? Maybe Jessica was very well aware that she could get pregnant while breast feeding. No, she is not married, but they are living as a married couple, with a child. Maybe they were undecided on what type of birth control they wanted to use, and were using condoms in the mean time, but went without just that ‘once or twice’. It happens. No, it isn’t ideal for the body, but plenty of women find themselves in the same situation… not a tragedy.

  23. bella says:

i wonder if a pregnancy clause was written into her contract. WW should have thought of that before dishing out millions.

  24. serena says:

They sure make cute babies, so way to go! Still, she should have waited a bit for her body to settle down.

    • Esmom says:

The other way to look at it is your body is already sort of in pregnancy mode, why not have another?

That’s how I sort of felt after having my younger son (pretty soon after my first son, 19 months). But reason prevailed and we stopped at two.

  25. judyjudy says:

They make cute babies so yay for them!

  26. fabgrrl says:

So, hows about getting married, kids?

    • DreamyK says:

I know, right? They were going to get married, then she got pregnant, then all this WW stuff, and now BOOM! Hahaa…

Pregnancy really suits her. She was one of the most beautiful, glowing mothers to be I have seen in a long time.

Congrats! I can’t imagine getting pregnant that quickly but then again, I didn’t have nannies and whatnot’s either.

    • Belle says:

LOL… agree, and I’m guessing they were planning to get married once Jessica lost the weight she wanted. This would put a bit of a crimp in that plan though, huh?

So, either they will have a quickie wedding… or put it off until after the 2nd baby. Any guesses?

  27. epiphany says:

Don’t know about the pregnancy, but the talk for months is that Jess lost most of that weight having liposuction, not dieting and exercise. There were a couple of months there when we never saw her – healing after the procedures?

  28. Devon says:

If it’s true, Maxwell would have been 5 months old when she got pregnant. So, she would have been in the clear to have sexy times and the kids will be 14 months apart. I give her all the props in the world for having two babies so close together. My brother and I are 16 months apart and my girlfriend’s kids are 15 months apart. She’s going to be crazy busy but, hopefully, the kids will grow up to be as close as me and my brother.

  29. Ponytail says:

This is a curious sentence : ‘Notes the source of pregnancy number two…’The *source* of the pregnancy ? Wouldn’t that be her BOYFRIEND ?!

  30. Jegede says:

Woah! First Peaches Geldof now her.
Congratulations. I’m certain it was unplanned.

This is actually very common. There is an 11 month age difference btw my older brother and me. My mom almost died of shock with me. Some women don’t realise that they are extremely fertile whilst breast feeding and throw caution to the wind.

Another common, sadder thing is secondary infertility. I have quite a few friends who had their first child 4-5 years ago and held off for a myraid of reasons but now are struggling to conceive for a second baby.
It seems to be two extremes and its heart breaking.

Mother Nature can be a *****.

    • Relli says:

ugh really? That’s my plan ( my little one 3.5) and now that everyone is telling me that its making me nervous!

    • Belle says:

My own experience would have me agree. I have endometriosis, and thought it would take a long time to get pregnant. Nope, took about 3 months. Started trying for another baby when my daughter was about 2 years old, thinking it would take a few months, and they would be about 3 years apart. Nope. My girls are 5 years apart, and we were actually surprised when I did get pregnant, as we had kind of accepted that we weren’t going to get pregnant again.

  31. DeltaJuliet says:

Now we’re going to hear all the stories about how she didn’t know she could get pregnant in the first year after birth/while breastfeeding/if she jumped up and down right after sex, etc.

  32. Mia 4S says:

But she’s barely had time to pimp the first one! Spread them out a bit Jessica, people will get bored. You were supposed to pimp your wedding first! God the untalented ones are so much work!

  33. Boo says:

I don’t think I can stand photos of her for another (seemingly) 16 month pregnancy.

    Happy for her/them, though.

Do we think Jessica knows how NOT to get pregnant? Just asking.

  34. Talie says:

Holy crap…I hope she treats her body better this time.

  35. Paloma says:

Please don’t be shocked, Jessica. Sex without protection can and does equal pregnancy.

  36. Green is Good says:

She’s going to start eating for 60 again, ’cause Heavy J like to eat!

  37. Madpoe says:

How does Beyonce feel about all this? 😉

    • Happy21 says:

LOL She’ll announce she has loving growing inside of her on Christmas, we’ll see a couple of holiday photos of her with a round stomach between Christmas and New Years and she’ll give birth in March 🙂

  38. BooBooLaRue says:

    and barefoot I suppose.

  39. MissM says:

I don’t know about in USA, but in Portugal (where i live), when a woman is breast feeding the baby, they take a special birth control pill. the problem is that it’s not as efective as the normal birth control pill… Maybe that was the case!
But she has more than enough to support those children, why not. I i could i would have 3 🙂

    • the original bellaluna says:

My OB (here in the States) said there was only ONE pill she would prescribe to breastfeeding mothers, and it was a single-hormone pill in a low dose. (Due to a health condition as a result of my last pregnancy, we ended up using the gel stuff instead, just to be sure.)

      • Isa says:

I was going to say the same thing. It’s commonly referred to as the mini pill. I was on it and thankfully did not get pregnant (low supply)
But From what I’ve gathered a few women do.

  40. Sloane Wyatt says:

Am I being cynical to think that Jess definitely planned BOTH pregnancies? After all, being America’s Sweetheart Mom is a lucrative gig for her, and now she doesn’t have to even lose weight to honor her Weight Watcher contract. Being pregnant is very good for Jessica’s brand!

  41. Jackie Jormp Jomp (formerly Zelda) says:

Oh please, please name the next one “Minnie”.

  42. anon says:

I think they reworked the WW diet for her & your off base & now we will have how to eat healthy on WW diet & be pregnant. I think who worte this is wrong & Jess has an extension on her contract.. lol.. I think its great for Jessica she has waited a very long time to have her babies.. Lets just stop with all the negative that be nice.

  43. Scarlett says:

I’m quite sure that there is a clause in her contract that stipulates if she for some reason including pregnancy…is not able to fulfill her duties i.e. lose an acceptable amount of weight, she will forfeit some of the payout. WW is a corporation after all…I’m sure they have counsel that would have covered that in her contract. So she probably got some of the $4 million and for her that’s enough. So what is the solution for getting out of the contract? Get pregnant…problem solved. She gets some of the money, saves a little face because she did lose some weight but now she has an excuse to go back to the chicken fried slutty brownies that she so loves.Hopefully she won’t fall off the wagon too badly. I know I’m being cynical but let’s face it…we live in a cynical world.

    • Scarlett says:

I think she looks good and she has obviously lost weight. But is she looking $4 million great? I know I’m a cynic but for $4 million, she better be ready to get into a bikini and I don’t see that happening anytime soon. Cynical and perhaps harsh I know..but we are talking $4 million here.

    • Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

Does having a first baby at 31 really qualify as a long time?

      • Belle says:

Maybe not a REALLY long time, but like it or not, that clock IS ticking(; I realize more and more women are waiting to have children until later in life, but fertility does decrease with age…. starting in the 20’s, and then decreasing more rapidly after about age 35. Women can obviously still conceive when they are older… often it might just take longer and/or require medical assistance, but there can be a great deal of difficulty as well as added risks.

  44. SmokeyBlues says:

What is all this babble about how now she doesn’t have to fulfill her contract with WW? People, look at her. She looks great. She fulfilled the freakin contract. I bet 75% of the people being so hard on her don’t look nearly as good as her.
I’m happy for her. She’s a great lady and is doing a good job with her life. I really do think people are just jealous. I really do.

    • Joanna says:

      I agree

    • Apparently, she didn’t use the WW diet, or, maybe she did along with her smoothie diet.
I printed the diet off. She was on a show and said she went on a 15 day smoothie diet, lost 60 lbs.
That is definitely not recommended by WW.
Does this negate her contract with WW?

      • Carolyn says:

Jess has had weightloss surgery. No-one can lose that amount of weight so quickly on WW, juices/smoothies or working out everyday for a month.

Agree with all thinking Jess has realised the $$ potential by being pregnant and a handy way to get out of the WW contract. She doesn’t have the willpower to consistently eat well and exercise to do it properly. I like her but she needs to be real and stop presenting herself as a role model for normal women.

She won’t get any mega endorsement deals or $$ from mags second time around though.

  45. Jennifer says:

You know what? I’m actually happy for her. I bet she is a terrific mom. Congrats!

  46. Kate says:

Looks like she finally found something she’s good at.

  47. Amanda says:

Why would she announce her pregnancy this early? Don’t celebrities usually wait until the second trimester to announce it?

  48. Palermo. says:

TMZ posted the “diet” she was on, and it sure wasn’t Weight Watchers. I too read she actually had lipo.

Maybe I’m old fashioned but it’s long past time to move that wedding up, if you have two kids just get married.

  49. aston martin says:

“Oh, and congrats to Jessica and Eric!” — almost spit out my water laughing. So funny.

I’m happy for them, for real, but also +1 on what Kaiser said. I hope heads don’t roll over this at WW, but WOW. I guess what bugs me about Jessica is her sense of entitlement? And how she knows she’s so adorable and likeable and successful as a businesswoman on top of it all that she thinks she can get away with anything. Baby wasn’t planned? Well, no sh*t, if you’re not using proper protection, you’re not entitled to not get pregnant. If you are under contract to WW for millions, too, how about trying NOT to get pregnant, just for a while? Article makes it sound like it surely durely was a surprise to lil ole Jess that she’s pregnant, which means she really wasn’t keeping track of much of anything, probably, figuring she can pretty much get a free pass. WW will keep her under contract I bet.

Also, I am jealous of her getting to just pop out babies at will. Or without will in this case. I wanted more and could only have one. And I’m hugely blessed- several of my friends can’t have any. Still, I know I’m Bitter, party of one.

Oh, and congrats to Jess and Eric!

  50. Memphis says:

    Well this is unexpected.

But it’s not like they will struggle financially, so hey, why not.

  51. Katie says:

I love her. She’s just so not like the rest of Hollywood.

  52. lucy2 says:

If true, congrats, but it seems weird that tabs print that stuff without confirmation.
That’s awfully close to baby #1. Good luck to her!

  53. Holden says:

I wonder what this does to the WW contract? Also, I can’t stand it when people make it known they are pregnant before 12 weeks.

  54. Bodhi says:

My son is 18mo & there is no way that we can have another baby so soon, mainly for financial reasons. If we were as rich as J.Simp we’d probably be on our 3rd. I’m not begrudging her any of her money, but damn… it’d be so much easier if we had just a little bit more

  55. Amory says:

Besides a general like of the dumb and helpless, I don’t get the admiration for this woman.

She made a living off of having big boobs and no brain. What is to like about that? And when her body was no longer an income source, she became all about being a “regular woman” and suggesting that woman should accept themselves as is (except that they should buy her gross little extensions and 4 inch h**ker heels).

She’s yet another in a long line of people who become famous and earn money because they are willing to humiliate themselves publicly and get kids to spend money on garbage that they do not need. (I’ve got to assume that no one over the age of 20 buys what she is shilling.)

    • Camille (TheOriginal) says:

Amory, I agree with everything you said. I shouldn’t read JSimplton threads, they start to give me a headache lol.

  56. Krissy says:

CAN SOMEONE JUST TELL ME WHY THEY CALL HER FARTY??? HAHA I really don’t know. Did she fart on camera?

    • the original bellaluna says:

Krissy – She let a really loud one rip in a business meeting, and her own mother called her out and exclaimed “Jessica!!” She’s also over-shared that she doesn’t like brushing her teeth, and prefers to use the sleeve or bottom of her shirt/sweater to wipe the scunge off her teeth and then use mouthwash.

      Sorry, but you asked! 😀

  57. Madriani's Girl says:

Oh goody. Another 2-year long pregnancy where we’re subjected to her bodily functions, weight gain and choice of junk foods. FML.

  58. eeyore says:

I found out that I was pregnant at 8 weeks when my firstborn was only 8 mths. I had just lost all of my post pregnancy weight by that time and was shocked that I got pregnant again that fast. My husband and I didn’t even think about using protection because it took us 5 long years to have a baby, and so we thought we would never have to worry about me getting pregnant again so soon. How wrong and silly we were. It was tiring for me as i have to juggle the baby and my pregnancy. But we made it through and i feel blessed and thank God for His gifts in the form of my daughters. It was also a lesson for us to be careful and so far it’s been going pretty well 🙂

  59. truthful says:

I hope this is not another reason to gorge herself.

They will not get married, Eric will get a settlement to keep quiet and show up for photo ops.

rolls eyes, she’s rich and the public will perceive it as romantic and motherly.

hopefully, she will keep all of the gross stuff to herself.

at least this will take some of the heat off of her daddy in denial.

  60. apsutter says:

I bet she’ll eat better and take much better care of herself this time.

  61. WowWow says:

I love being a mom, so congrats to her!

I threw up for six months straight with my first, in and out of the hospital for IV’s. Could keep barely anything down, and the vertigo was insane. When I could eat all I wanted was fried food. Anything with fat in it. Could not stand the sight of veggies. After delivery, lots of complications and was told not to breast feed. I was so freaked for the health of my baby.

But, you know what? He has always been as healthy as a horse. No ear infections, no colds as an infant. He’s 17 now and a junior in college, so I think his brain is okay too.

Just do the best you can, love them as best you can, and everything works out in the end. One day at a time.

  62. HappyJoyJoy says:

People fail to realize the toll a pregnancy takes on a healthy body, let alone on a body that’s not done healing from the prior birth. Accidental or not, I feel bad for her body, I don’t care how happy pregnancy makes you you have to love your body and take it of it. I doubt she’ll eat any healthier this time around. I’d sue her if I were WW Corp.

  63. mar says:

    SALLY STRUTHERS!

  64. Katie says:

The dumber they are, the faster they breed, so I’m not surprised she’s knocked up again. She gets to get as fat as she wants to again and she gets to capitalize on the positive PR that every pregnant celebrity receives, her boyfriend gets a bigger payout when they eventually break up, and this distracts the public from the gay rumors about her creepy Dad. She may be stupid, but she’s got PR down pat.

  65. G says:

What’s the big deal? She’s young and she’s a billionare! Keep having them cute pudgey babies and be happy girl congrats!

    • Princess K says:

She’s not a billionaire, a company she sold her name to for marketing purposes has sold a billion dollars worth of goods….BIG DIFFERENCE.

  66. Moana says:

Oh, big deal. If she has two kids that close, it’s her business. She certainly has the scratch to handle expenses. She digs sex, remember?
This will take the heat of her gay daddy gossip too.

  67. Princess K says:

She still looks pregnant so why not just get it over with??

  68. SallyBee says:

My brother and I are 15 months apart, and we grew up like twins. My children are 18 months apart; I wanted them to grow up with a childhood like mine. It is hard as hell (they are 3 and 4 now), but worth it. They will never remember what life was like without each other.

  69. suhon says:

I hope she has an eating plan this time around. She looks pretty good right now, you’d think she would want to enjoy it (being thin) for awhile. Oh well, it is what it is if it is true.

  70. Shelly says:

    Freaky pregnancy’s do happen.
My sister was still nursing my nephew he was about 8 months old, her older son (3 years old)had gotten cancer months earlier and they never had sex because one was either at work or the hospital.

my mom made them go to a hotel for a night to rest and relax. My sister was on that nursing birth control pill AND they used a condom because she did not want to get pregnant.

Well she got pregnant, they had sex twice that night.

There was a happily ever after though, my nephew that had leukemia just passed his 5 year mark after his last chemo treatment, he’s 12 now and plays football.

And don’t laugh at Jessica… I laughed at my sister and I ended up pregnant the next month 😀 Both of our boys are 7 now

  71. B says:

I think it’s so dumb when people have another baby when their first one is still a small infant. It just seems irresponsible. I mean, of course Jessica Simpson can financially support her family, so that’s not a problem in her case, but it just seems dumb to me…and like it takes the shine off the first baby. The first kid only got to have proper attention and fuss for a really short period of time.
