Miranda Lambert, worried about Blake Shelton ‘cheating’ over Twitter?

We don’t have much of Life & Style’s cover story this week, but it seems like it could have been pretty juicy. Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are the most controversial couple of country music, I think – people have very strong opinions, for and against. The people against them always point out that Blake dumped his first wife Kaynette Gern as soon as he hooked up with Miranda (at the very least, there was some overlap), which makes Miranda a “homewrecker”. People who support them always point out that Miranda and Blake seem made for each other, that they’re both damaged and “real” and they complete each other in some passionate, crazy way.

Still, is it possible that Blake has a wandering eye? That’s how Miranda got him in the first place, so maybe. L&S seems to be claiming in their cover story that Miranda is “scared” that Blake’s “flirtatious tweets” will eventually lead him to cheat. Get that? It’s not that Blake has actually put his p in another woman’s v. It’s about his tweeting. According to Jezebel’s round-up, Miranda has now taken to following Blake around while he’s on tour and she’s “implementing her three fool-proof rules for making their marriage work: Face time every two weeks, she can check his texts, and she gets to chaperone him on The Voice.” As for the “23-year-old singer” – I couldn’t figure it out by looking at his Twitter, but CB pointed out a story from last year in which Blake was tweet-flirting with a young country star named Cady Groves. She was 21 years old then – maybe it’s the same chick?

It’s only a matter of time. Somehow he gives me that “cheater” feeling.

    • Erinn says:

I used to watch the voice because I used to like the guy. I had to stop watching. He kept really pushing this one girl who was a meh singer, and I really believed they had something going on. It was just… embarrassing to watch.

      • Dani says:

You’re probably talking about Cassadee right? I honestly thought she was awful but he was so for her.

      • Sweet Dee says:

I agree completely. She won by sleeping with Blake, since the votes on that show don’t really matter. She was terrible, she just kept singing Avril songs with her awful warble. It was an assault on the ears at times, and the best contestants kept going home.

    • piper says:

All of yalll obviously don’t know what really happened. Miranda and Blake first met when they sang together, “your the reason God made Oklahoma”. They both reallly liked eachther but he was married so they remaine friends and that’s it. Later then blake and his wife divorsed and him and Miranda were still friends. It wasn’t till later that they started dating. Miranda never wrecked up blakes marriage.

  2. Ugh. I don’t like her, and seriously if you hooked up with him while he’s married then you sentenced yourself to a lifetime of worry. Enjoy it.

    • gogoGorilla says:

      +1

I don’t have any sympathy for either one of them.

    • Sweet Dee says:

      +2

You made the bed, Miranda. You lie in it.

The fairy tale of the cheater and the clinger never ends in “happily ever after” anyhow.

      • bluhare says:

Actually it can. I know one couple who has been married almost 30 years and they met while he was married.

      • Gemini08 says:

@bluhare- that makes them the exception- not the rule.

      • Sweet Dee says:

It does indeed make them the exception. Also, Blake is a known serial cheater and Miranda is apparently checking up on him. It won’t work.

Gah I’m sick of people using anecdotes as gospel. Why do so many people trust anecdote over evidence? Every time there’s an “Actually, [in this one instance I know about]…” I roll my eyes. Save your time, don’t bother.

      • Isa says:

I think it depends. I don’t think once a cheater always a cheater. Some people mess up and learn from it. Then there are others that don’t seem to, such as Blake and Eddie C.

    • pastyousayyouneverknew says:

Agreed. I have little sympathy for people who get cheated on by spouses they started dating while their spouse was married to someone else at the time. I honestly believe that his possible cheating should not shock her, it’s very likely to happen.

  3. bea says:

Why do all these morons get married so young?

    • Erinn says:

Getting married young doesn’t make you a moron, thanks.

I’ll be married next summer, a couple months after turning 24.

Some people are more mature than others, regardless of age. I know I’m a hell of a lot more mature than a lot of my coworkers in their 40’s who are parents. One threatened to push a maintenance guy off his ladder if he put a new bulb into the florescent light above her. She’s a mother of 3 and around 40 years old.

      • bea says:

I was referring to famous people, not you personally.

      • Miss so and so says:

married (both) at 17…. next week 28th anniversary. Use a smaller brush when you paint generalizations

      • Sweet Dee says:

It’s a statistical fact that the younger you marry, the higher your chances of divorce are.

Consider yourself exceptions to an accurate generalization.

      • Isa says:

She was 27. Not that young. He was probably older.
Their age is probably the last of their problems. His drinking problems, the time spent away from each other, his supposed serial cheating are probably waaay bigger.

  4. JanMa says:

Those three “fool proof” rules may just be tabloid reporting but, if your strategy for making your marriage work amounts to “never let him out of your sight”, you may as well wave a white flag.

  5. Maria says:

you can argue that if you have sex with someone in a relationship you deserve to be worried all the time if they cheat when you marry them.
on the other hand its unfair because the cheating person always gets away with it and only hurts the people around.

  6. Izzy says:

She should be worried. If he cheated with her, he’ll cheat on her.

    • Dani says:

Not necessarily true. Just because you made a mistake once doesn’t mean you’ll repeat it. My husband cheated on his ex girlfriend with me when we first met like 5 years ago. Three year relationship and two years married and he’s possibly more devoted than I am. People change when they want to, not when you make them.

  7. Cidee says:

The outfits these two feature are awful. And their hairstyles. It needs to be said.

  8. Elceibeno says:

I really hope Blake is not thinking of cheating on Miranda. You see ladies and gentlemen, men have a hard time (no pun intended) keeping it in their pants. So many women so little time.

    • Jb says:

Not true. I am a fairly decent looking guy and make plenty of money. Occasionally , I get the vibe a co worker or associate is flirting with me. I will divert the conversation to something about my wife and kids. They get the message. My wife does not have to make rules about looking at my cell phone. It is always on the kitchen counter and I usually ask her to get it for me if a call or text comes in. I ask who is it or what was written on it. I have nothing to hide, and never will. When you make a commitment to someone, cheating should never be a thought you entertain. Plain and simple.

      • Lola Falana says:

In the words of Salt & Pepa, “Whatta man! Whatta man! Whatta man! Whatta mighty GOOD man!”

Your wife is one lucky woman (*Standing O for you*). It’s nice to know that there are men out there like you that still exist.

  9. Lulu says:

I’ve always trusted my partners, simply because I am trustworthy. If I find out they are not trustworthy, I walk away in disgust. I really don’t understand women who put all this time and effort (LeAnn, Miranda, etc.) into trying to force their men to be faithful. If he can’t see that you are the best thing he is ever going to have, he is an idiot and you need to kick him out the door, not be a frenzied clinger. Sheesh. I’d much rather be fabulous and single than coupled and desperate.

  10. tia says:

DO NOT like her. Any woman who hunts is yuck! She is so crass and has no class.. not a good combo. ICK!

    • Kristen says:

Are men who hunt yucky, too? Or just women.

Choose wisely. My opinion of you will change dramatically depending on your answer.

    • Paige says:

Women who hunt? People like you disgust me, a women who hunts is a woman who can provide and survive.

  11. judyjudy says:

They look like twins. They have identical facial geometry and it creeps me the eff out.

  12. NeNe says:

They are both disgusting and insufferable. I cannot stand these two idiots!! They certainly do deserve each other.

  13. Monie says:

How’s that glass house Miranda? Heffa

  14. truthful says:

She’s gonna have her work cut out for her..

  15. annaloo. says:

She took a stand to Chris Brown, so she will always be good in my books. But twitter cheating? What exactly is that? Sounds like a whole lot of hullabaloo.

    • Gemini08 says:

She didn’t “take a stand”. She did it to put her name in the press. To me it showed how utterly tacky she is. What Chris Brown did was wrong but bashing someone out of the blue on stage is classless. She needs to stay in her lane and keep her nose out of other people’s business.

      • Barhey says:

No way. That kind of attitude drives me crazy. While Hollywood loves to look the other way – Chris Brown, Roman Polanski, etc. – it’s appalling to me. She called out CB because he was at an awards show and he was being showered with all that positive feedback and she couldn’t stand the hypocrisy. Nothing wrong with that in my book.

      • jea says:

Well let me tell you Blake Shelton maybe has’nt knocked her down, but Miranda has been put down about as low as she can go with his vulgar tweets. For years it was terrible. She may be badass to others. Most women in todays world would not allow what she lets go on. She does need keep her mouth shut about how others are treated and my guess she has many fans that think the very same thing

      • Gemini08 says:

@Barhey- he was being applauded for his WORK. Which he has every right to be. He did his time. He was prosecuted and paid for his crimes. He has every right to go on with his professional life and work. If you don’t like him- don’t buy his music or support it. But he had just as much right to be there as anyone else did. And this idea that we as a society have the right to play the morality police and consistently punish people for their actions and mistakes is ridiculous. And I have a really hard time with it when you have sanctimonious hypocrites like Miranda Lambert doing it.

  16. Jaana says:

I really hope he is cheating. I hope he stays out until late in the morning as she frantically calls his cell over and over again. I hope when he finally gets hope he smells like stale beer and P***y.
Miranda honey, THAT’S what you should be giving interviews about, and leave other peoples name out your mouth.

  17. Gemini08 says:

I love how fans of her like to paint her as some kind of good girl. And yet those same people will turn around and call someone like Angelina or KStew home wreckers. Well the so-called “rule” applies to Miranda as well! And I think like Rupert Sanders this isn’t the first- or last time Blake will have a wandering eye.

  18. KellyinSeattle says:

I’m ignorant/lost: Miranda who? Blake who?

  19. dibba says:

I’m confused, didn’t they both commit suicide?

  20. Kelly says:

Can’t stand either one of them. They’re gross, they hunt, she’s always mad about something. If he is cheating she deserves it if he cheated on wife with her.

    • Susan says:

Well they say ” u get ur man how u loose em”! As far as the 23 yr old? Hell, who wouldn’t drop their panties for Blake shelton? I’ve been pantyless since I knew who he was!! Georgous! Maybe I should learn how to sing!!!

  21. MAC says:

Who wants to be married to someone who feels they have to check his texts? The stress. Who would want to be on the other end and have their texts checked.

  22. Someone marked my last comment as spam or abuse – they are two gun-toting rubes. Both are cheaters and they deserve what they get.

  23. jea says:

Blake Shelton does’nt care for women in my opinion. He makes fools out of these young girls, Miranda just happens to be married to him. He is doing his work on her, poor girl looks like a put down puppy dog. I actually don’t see how she is doing as good with her music as she is. She is very much belittled by him. He has these lonely women that think he is King and over looks the real Blake. They say his eyes are beautiful as if they don’t see those big hemorids under them. Maybe one of his men friends will talk him into using Reba’s plastic surgeon to do away with those. He appears to be very unhappy, can’t say I blame him to feel he has to sat on twitter day in day out to keep fans. I saw Laura Bell Bundy assured her love to the sweet man last evening after he let it be known he was on flight to nashville. He is’nt picky if LBB happens to be holding on.I do feel for that little young RaeLynn that he made a STAR out of. Cassadee Pope came out good, record deal with Big Machine and VISA from Blakey Likey to buy unexpected things! He will run into the unexpected thing one day and he just may need that CROWN he says he owns.I see everyone is giving Miranda hell on here…please don’t play into his hands.Miranda is really too good and he knows it.I’m speaking of music!!!!He will have to kick her ass before she moves an inch. Is that lack of pride??? She has her own money.

  24. Jane says:

Yes Blake and Miranda met while he was married (a two-year marriage – with no kids – that was all but over by all accounts), but they’ve always maintained they didn’t start seeing each other romantically until he filled for divorce. (This is discussed in Miranda’s episode of Behind The Music, which appears to have been removed from YouTube, so I can’t link it.)

Who knows if that’s true or not, but I think it’s unfair to label them as cheaters when there is no solid proof to say so.

People meeting when still married to someone else is not that uncommon; the difference comes down to those who cheat on their existing spouses and those who get out of their marriage before getting involved with someone else.

    • jea says:

And he said he spoke to her like 4 times a week after they met(which he said he now knows he fell in love with her on stage as a married man) He was cheating on his wife then just like he is cheating on Miranda with his sending his love and flirting tweets to these gals, plus on the voice he is giving those girls the two arm hugs and holding their big and small tits up against himself. He is being disrespectable to these young girls. Get one his own age(like fifty or more. He want because they would make a fool of him. There is a reason he picks these young things.

  25. Jennifer12 says:

He is really good looking and seems to know it. I wouldn’t want a husband who already is known to cheat and whom I have to babysit.

    • jea says:

GOOD LOOKING!I do know this photo above was taken back in November, but maybe he has had those under eye hemorrhoids removed. I think his little young RaeLynn has taken over the babysitting job as of todays videos…

      • jea says:

I had to laugh when Cassadee Pope tweeted she had made a trip to the store to get Blake some preparation H. She later deleted her tweet for unknown reasons. They look so nasty at times under those eyes.I’d guess those young girls disgust them.

    • Issa says:

I’ve seen better looking guys in my neighborhood. Think he looks puffy & frat boyish.

    • Issa says:

Yuck, he just yuck to me. A conceited pop country musician just giving us more bad pop county music.

    • Jennifer12 says:

Have to admit, I went back and looked at the nose and teeth. Eh, maybe not so much.

  26. Ginger says:

Flirting even on social media is not respectful of your partner. But really what is to be expected considering how they got together.

  27. 42yrsNcounting says:

What makes any of you superior to anyone else? No one knows the truth but the people involved & the world has NO right to judge them. Leave it to GOD. They appear very happy to me. And it takes time for a divorce to be final. I’ve known many people through the years who got together BEFORE the divorce was final but did not date prior to the separation. Seems to me you are all taking a lot for granted like you know everything. I wonder if you could stand up to this type of scrutiny.

  28. Jayna says:

Nobody wants to hear it, but I would say 90 percent of singers have at one time (habitually, rarely, or at least once) have cheated on their wives. Way too much time on the road living almost as a bachelor at times, with too many opportunities, adoring women, and most men can separate sex from love as a reason when they cheat.

I am sick of hearing, oh, we have the two-week rule as how their marriage works as celebs. Most of those are now divorced. I wouldn’t even give that number as a banner of celeb marital happiness. ClOL

  29. jea says:

Guess this rumor has been taken care of. Miranda told her comcert fans (this weekend)after the rumored mag. article, she is happily married to Blake Shelton. What seems odd is’nt he the one that is supposed to be cheating. Did’nt hear him tell the Opry crowd he was happily married. She did get lots of you go girl?

  30. LW says:

Always liked Miranda and her music until I met her and saw her at CMA fest….she’s a witch!

  31. The actual fact is 86% of relationships fail because of Internet social websites. Shocked because you thought “not me I won’t allow it” you’ll be the first it will happen to. Ignorance is bliss. Getting your head out of your ass…is priceless.
