Bedhead already covered some of yesterday’s photos of Chris Hemsworth & Elsa Pataky out and about in NYC, but I guess we should cover these pics from last night’s Oceana Ball. This was the reason Elsa and Chris were in New York, as it turns out. They were the biggest stars at this event, which was held at Christie’s. Oh, I found the website:

So, it’s a big environmental event and there probably weren’t that many “celebrities” but there were a lot of people with a lot of money there, and they probably raised a lot of money for…? I’m assuming environmental charities or foundations or something. Sure.
As for the photos… Chris brought along his brother Luke Hemsworth and Luke’s wife Samantha. Elsa wore a Naeem Khan Pre-Fall 2013 dress which is actually pretty cute. Chris’s suit is Calvin Klein. They look nice! I’m just relieved that it’s not another candid photo-op, though. I was getting really tired of seeing Chris in sunglasses. But the bad thing about these photos is that you can’t really see his guns. But I’m sure most of you could draw them from memory anyway.

Does anyone else think its weird/gross that he has a man-updo at the back? Shouldn’t it just be a “long hair-don’t care” ponytail?
I think he just doesn’t know what to do with it. I get a sense that he’d rather chop it off, but Marvel has him by the [pony]tail.

Yeah…hate his hair. Actually like him better than Channing Tatum but to be honest I don’t get the love for either one of them. Neither one can act and if you can’t act you have to be REALLY good eye candy and they do nothing for this girl.
I have to agree! I get the slightest bit of ‘ah that’s a nicey’ from Chris when he’s in full-blown Thor mode, mostly because that much overt masculinity just knocks out my resistance, but he does kind of look like the hot thing from the trailer park most of the time. As for Channing Tatum…he might as well be my dad.
She looks good, I’ll give her that. I hope she thanked her plastic surgeon big time.
And I hope she has him on speed dial…because I’ll punch her face beyond recognition if I ever have the chance.

There are plenty of stories about Pataky here on CB (either posted by Kaiser/Celebitchy or us, regulars).
She’s a famewhore of the highest (lowest?) level. She’s famous for the men she dates and nothing else — her “career” as an actress isn’t relevant so she milks her relationships with famous men.
I know, I know: there are many like her. And I wouldn’t be so pissed off hadn’t her famewhoring game destroyed Brody’s reputation/career. The man is a terrific actor, so it pains me to realize his career may NEVER recover from taking pictures in empty bathtubs and fake castles (because of her).
P.S.: I also read that she had the nerve to ask for the castle after she dumped him (even though they hadn’t been married nor lived together enough time to have a common-law marriage).

Beef cake for sure. I thought maybe it was middle age that was keeping me from being into the current crop of young hotties, but Chris is eye candy to me, especially when he’s toting around his baby.

I’ve already posted so many stories about Pataky here on CB — I guess you could click on her tag and follow the comments by me, Paranormalgirl and Violet (I think) on past threads.
But she pretty much climbed her way to Hemsworth: she dumped a French actor to be with Brody, then Brody to be with Olivier Martinez, then she met Hemsworth. With every single one of them, she made sure to be papp’d as much as she could.
The worst was with Brody. She straight up used him — and dumped him as soon as his fame, and movie roles, started waning.
P.S.: There’s also a repulsive blind item I read back in 2008/2009, but since it’s a blind item and I can’t confirm it, I won’t post it here. But I am dead certain the answer was Pataky.

I am wondering if this recent bout isn’t more for her than him, I mean more than the famewhore thing. She is getting a spot in People Most Beautiful, she has the Furious movie (213 is it?). I think she threw down a “Look, Thor, you got your shot. I had the kid and now it’s MY time in Hollywood so smile pretty and get me a meeting with your agent.” Full disclosure, I am a complete CHemboy apologist because I find him unreasonably hot but there is more than just “I like photos of me” going on here.
In the same vein, I am kind of tickled by how CHem is helping out his big brother in the same way. They have been shot many times together since Luke moved here. CHemboy has said he and Budget fought a lot but has always spoken highly of Luke, even in regards to his acting and about how “Luke did it first.”
Seeing as I am a shameless ho on this boy, this is about as deep as I can go today.
@j.eyre Oh I am a total Hemsy apologist myself thus I always blame the Tacky Pataky (love the name), or as my bff dubbed her, Wagon (as in, ‘hitched her wagon to his star’). But she makes it so easy! Whenever Chris is kissing her, or Baby India, Wagon is eye-shagging the cameras, whether paparazzi or red carpet ones, doesnt matter.
So yes, she and his brother are totally riding Chris’ PR gravy train, and he is either oblivious (but I am starting to think he’s not that dim – tho he does probably think that the paps just show up wherever he is) or doesnt care, just happy to be there, esp after taking so long to become successful.
However, I disagree on “Look, Thor, you got your shot while I had a kid…” This makes it sound like she’s been waiting in the wings for him to build his career, sacrificing her own rise for the sake of the ‘family’ – while in fact he, and their cute little fam, are the best shot she ever had at a proper US career. No, I agree with you there, Anna. I didn’t mean to imply that she had sacrificed anything – or that she was even trying to be in the shadows. I see it more as she expected to be further along as a result of her connection to him and maybe has recently waged an all out assault. He didn’t get papped this much during the Avengers – this is ridiculous. She has her figure back, she is striking while the iron is hot. In a few months, his promotions will overshadow her again.
I predict that when her efforts don’t amount to worldwide fame, pregnancy #2 will be announced.

The dress is awful. Not only is the length off, but it is an ill cut and cut. The shoes look cheap. To cap it all off, her make-up is too shiny.

Omg. I detest this woman with a passion. I saw her for the first time in an Italian film several years ago, and I disliked her on sight. And this was well before I knew of her involvement with Brody, who used to he one of my favorite actors. I tend to have good instincts about people, and couldn’t figure why I hated her so. I felt vindicated when I quickly discovered that is universally reviled by Brody fans. I was elated when they broke up. Then lo and behold, she surfaces just a short two yeas later married to one of Hollywood young hot up-and-coming actors. Hmmm….it was very apparent that bitch traded up. Brody is a brilliant actor, but perfers to fly underneath the radar…not a very conspicuous position for an aspiring famewhore such as our dear Tacky Pataky. My theory is that she was hustling from the sidelines. Here you had the hot beefcake blonde actor who was about to hit it big with Thor and she jumped on that first class train to relevance.

The current nose was obtained some time between 2006 and 2009 judging by the photos. Dont think she’s tinkered with it since but she IS aging remarkably well, even with professional help.

As quiet as its kept I read before the first Thor movie Chris was after Natalie Portman. Natalie was not interested and then soon after this Elsa stepped in the picture. Natalie would have been more his speed I think. I do agree with another poster that Chris and his brothers seem to value love and marriage. It seem like the Hemsworth men pick the trashiest women for a wife.
