Before I looked at these photos of Candice Swanepoel shooting a Victoria’s Secret campaign in St. Barts over the weekend, I don’t think I ever realized how much she looks like a younger Cameron Diaz. Right? Think about Cameron Diaz in The Mask – now look at Candice. They look SO similar.
Anyway, I just like to occasionally cover some of the more traditional “ladies in bikinis” because so many of the sites run by dudes do that. We talk about dong so often around here, it’s nice to mix it up with some bikini photos of a Victoria’s Secret model. Personally, my favorite is still Doutzen Kroes and her magical butt. Still, Candice is a very pretty young woman. We discussed her in 2010 when there were some weird photos of her and it seemed like she had lost a dramatic amount of weight. In these photos… she’s still very slender, but she looks like she’s put on some muscle weight and she doesn’t look so drawn. She’s 24 years old, just FYI. And while her butt is cute, I think I still prefer Doutzen’s magic butt.
Seriously, though – how has she not dated Leonardo DiCaprio? She’s just his type!! Long legs, tall, blonde, under the age of 25, already working for Vicky’s Secret. She ticks all of his girlfriend-material boxes. But I think I know why – Candice already has a boyfriend! She’s dating a Brazilian male model named Hermann Nicoli. They live in NYC together and they have two dogs. That makes me like her more!
PS… I don’t understand jewelry accessories with swimsuits. If you’re laying out or even if you’re just in the sun for any reason, that metal is going to get HOT. Plus, it will mess up your tan lines. I don’t get it.

I work at Amsterdam international airport (Schiphol). Met Doutzen Kroes like 4 or 5 times and I can tell you one thing: she is NOT a nice person. Extremely arrogant.

On the positive side, Lauren, I have to congratulate you and all your co-workers for being so awesome. I was just at Schiphol in February and all the workers were so friendly and helpful. They gave me great directions, and one guy patiently helped me operate the storage locker (which I fumbled because I am a klutz), and nobody laughed at my attempts to thank them in Dutch. Even security was nice! Honestly, collectively I think it was the nicest experience I’ve ever had at an airport.
I give people the benifit of the doubt until I hear multiple accounts from different ppl. And lots of people are in bad moods at the airport. Not an excuse but it does happen. Stressful atmosphere.
Aaah your welcome Faye haha. Schiphol is the #1 airport in Europe :p.
@Kaye it wasn’t just a bad mood. She was traveling with one of her friends who did NOT have a first class ticket. She demanded that KLM, the airline they were flying with, gave her friend an upgrade to first class. When the girl told her that that was only possible if she paid extra Doutzen started screaming in Dutch and saying shit like: ‘do you know who I am? If you don’t give her a free upgrade I’m gonna get on Twitter and blast KLM’ it was really embaressing

Yes. Candice’s body > Doutzen. In fairness to Doutzen, she’s a mom now. Doutzen was the bomb when she was younger. Now she looks like a boring version of Denise Richards. Still hot but her magic faded a bit.

And maybe it’s the pose, but that pink swimsuit is awful.
She is gorgeous no doubt about that but it is getting boring. I disagree about the statement that she doesn`t need to be interesting just because she is a VS model. It feels like I have seen this exact same photo shoot a million times before regardless of the different swimsuits. Same girls, same poses, it`s all the same and it is getting boring…
She’s beautiful, of course, but aside from her old-school Cameron-resemblance, there’s nothing to set her (or the swimsuits) apart from the endless others.
I disagree that they don’t need to be interesting. That may work for guy-fans, but to be popular with other women, they need to have more than just an ass-to-aspire-to.
She looks a lot like Rosie HW. I wish VS would use some of the other angels more. Erin has a better body. Adriana and Doutzen are much more beautiful and have better butts. The recent pics of Adriana in St Barts in a blue bikini are amazing. Adriana wins for best butt in my book.
There is such thing as too pretty. So pretty that there’s nothing to look at. It’s like a perfectly pruned tree in a park isn’t nearly as interesting to look at as as oddly shaped old tree growing wild in a field. She’s too pretty. I’m extremely bored.
Come on, Tessa, I’m sure we can find some faults. Personally I think her breasts could be slightly bigger and her thighs could be slightly skinnier. I also don’t care for the jewelry in photos two and three. That’s all I’ve got.
Victoria’s Secret has become an endless supply of skinny blondes. They all look the exact same to me. I miss the days of Adriana Lima and her beautiful, busty body!
VS in the 90s was much better; they used the real supermodels (Helena,Yasmeen,Stephanie,Karen Mulder,etc.) rather than these interchangeable too-skinny blondes, and the supers had personalities, and weren’t stifled in favor of celebs like today’s models, vs and otherwise.
I can’t tell any of them apart either. And that’s what I don’t understand about Leo and those guys who date one after the other. I mean, fine, play the field and be a bachelor if that makes you happy… But at least mix it up!
Candice’s career has stagnated.
Almost every pic I see of her is in St Barts/Hawaii e.t.c in swimwear. I expected her to have broken out into bigger by now but shes seems increasingly one note
Last year she did Paris & Milan FW as well as some NY shows. She also got some Vogue covers. This year she’s covered 1 Spanish Vogue but little editorials or even HF campaigns.
90% of her work seems to be just VS. Doutzen has more work variation than she does – Loreal, Tiffany, Miu Miu Doutzen has had 3 Vogue covers this year alone.
Candice is at IMG along with fellow VS girls Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls and Kate Upton but this year all three of them are blowing her out of the water work/profile wise right now.
If she does no FW this year then I think her career will be more like Adriana and Alessandra – mainly VS and some other stuff rather then Gisele – which was VS amongst a lot of other stuff
Models want to make money. Adriana, Ale, and Candice all made the list of top ten highest paid models last year. Adriana and Ale have made the list for years. VS might not have the prestige of HF but it does pay very well. Candice is probably focusing on VS with the long term goal of taking Adriana’s place as highest paid VS angel when Adriana leaves.
Candice Swanepoel is my fave current victorias secret lady, but with that being said i think young Cameron Diaz’s face was far more beautiful.
She looks like 80s supermodel and original VS angel, Jill Goodacre.
She’s my fave VS model! So yeah, I think she looks great (she always does) and I totally want her to date Leo too! He’s my fave actor and she’s my fave model – a match made in heaven 🙂 (jk, I hope she is happy with her boyfriend but they would look good together)
Can’t stand VS. I think their line is cheap and their ads are tacky. That said, Candice is gorgeous and has an amazing body. She’s not with Leo because a.) she has a boyfriend, b.) Leo’s too old for her, and c.) Miranda has first dibs! 🙂

Guys I promise you I met her in miami on a coffee run and pictures dont do her justice shes gorgeous like my mouth dropped and she had on no makeup. Well anyway when I was visiting my fam in fl. I went to a starbucks and she was there not only was she beautiful but so nice my debit card was rejcted and she stepped in and paid for my drink

Victoria’s Secret models are ridiculous. They are supposed to be “curvy” but ever since Tyra and Heidi left they have increasingly just used twiggy girls and then shoved 8 chicken fillets into their bras/bikini tops. These are not curves.
