Brandi Glanville slams LeAnn Rimes’ ‘Spitfire’ album: ‘I’m surprised it’s so bad’

RIP, Tenuous Peace Treaty Signed By Brandi Glanville. Remember how Brandi claimed – at the tail end of her book promotional tour – that she was no longer going to talk about LeAnn Rimes at all? Well, that’s over. It only lasted a few months. I think Brandi must have called it off after that incident last week when Brandi couldn’t get in touch with her sons and she tweeted Eddie and LeAnn had some kind of Twitter party about it. It was at that moment that Brandi decided that the war was back on. And so she dropped this deliciously bitchy awesomeness to In Touch Weekly:

The rivalry continues between RHOBH’s Brandi Glanville and singer LeAnn Rimes.

Now Brandi exclusively tells In Touch her thoughts on LeAnn’s new album, Spitfire (on sale June 4), which contains some not-so-veiled references to the reality star after LeAnn stole Brandi’s former husband, actor Eddie Cibrian.

“LeAnn has a great voice, but she needs to work on her songwriting,” snipes Brandi. “I’m surprised it’s so bad.”

So what’s not to like about the upcoming album?

“She’s not going to win any fans by writing a song about breaking up a family. It’s old news — no one wants to hear you cry over getting everything you wanted,” Brandi tells In Touch of the lyrics from a song called “Borrowed,” which reads, “I know you’re not mine, only borrowed / ’Cause you already belong to her, at least, you said so / But I’m starting to believe it ain’t the whole truth.”

She continues: “If LeAnn wants her career back, she needs better lyrics. These are the worst songs I’ve ever heard. No one wants to listen to this!”

[From In Touch Weekly]

Once again, Brandi comes prepared. Brandi knows just what to say to get under LeAnn’s skin. And Brandi picked the right time too – LeAnn has “exclusive” interviews in both People Magazine and Us Weekly this week to promote her new album. Do you think Spitfire will bomb? Probably. I’m not going to give Brandi sole credit if and when Spitfire does bomb, though. LeAnn has done most of the heavy lifting as far as ruining her image and alienating her fans.

Ok, I’m throwing in the towel on this whole situation. I used to feel bad for Brandi but now I think she engages Neigh-ann because it keeps her relevant and in the news. I guess you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do to stay newsworthy and put food on the table, but – ugh. I just can’t care any longer.

I also assume the album will bomb on its own merits (or lack thereof).

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

Yeah this. I would like Brandi so much more if she wasn’t as into the fame game as her nemesis.

The bottom line is that they’re both grown-ups who act like children. The only difference is that Brandi is inherently more likable and more charismatic.

      • Annie2 says:

True. I think they both need each other at this point to stay relevant and in the news. If they didn’t b@tch about each other they wouldn’t have anything to say!

    • Liz says:

I don’t agree with you gogoGorilla. If Leann is going to continue on and on about how she got Eddie then Brandi has every right to state her opinion. Leann needs to quit talking/singing about it. It’s over and Leann got the cheating husband. Good for her. Couldn’t happen to a bigger loser. Once a cheater always a cheater. Leann, karma will not be fun.

      • MorticiansDoItDeader says:

The more they engage eachother the more it shows how much they care. I also think Brandi has built her career on this feud with Leanne and she realizes that people aren’t interested in her as much as they’re interested in how she will engage Leanne. So, it’s in Brandi’s best interest to continue the feud; and it may also help Leanne’s album sales (as people may be curious to hear what’s so awful about the lyrics).

      • FLORC says:

        Liz
Yes. Brandi was tossed out after she spent her youth with Eddie and quickly became a divorced single mother with no credit. This back and forth keeps her relevant for her show and keeps the money coming in. It also IS her place to state her opinion and to not let Leanne’s twitter rants go unchallenged. I like how she questions how the bonus mom is not always putting her sons best interests first.

Some people just won’t like brandi. Some just love her. I’ll give her credit for doing what she needs to to pick up her life and fend for herself.

      • Little Darling says:

I agree with mortician…they both care. Brandi, I’m sure, is still burning up when she thinks of the situation. No matter how hard someone moves on, I think when they’ve been side swiped and profoundly hurt by their S.O., that hurt lingers on and on.

My parents divorced when I was two after my dad had an affair with a trashy lady after my birth. I’m in my 30’s. My mom went on to marry her true soulmate when I was 7, meeting him when I was 4. My father and her are very good friends now, and my four parents hang out on a regular basis as extended family. Everything worked out.

Yet, this strong, smart, amazing woman will *still* get upset and irrationally angry when that woman’s name comes up or when she recollects what it was like at that time to find out the person she trusted cheated, how long it went on, all the lies she endured.

I could not imagine her having to go through it again and again in public. Those types of emotions tether themselves very strongly, and flare up at the slightest bit.

LeAnn. She just doesn’t have the wits to engage a person like Brandi on an above par level. She uses the kids and getting Eddie time and time again while Brandi mixes it up for us, chipping at her appearance, her talent, her need for public attention…much deeper hits.

My morning coffee is so much more entertaining when I have Creame Crazy stirred in. 🙂

      • Patricia C says:

My God. If that was me, I would not be so nice. I would be slamming the bitch as much as I can and tell every wierd story I know about her. And you know Brandi most have a few she is keeping secret. What the hell do you guys expect? LaxAnn knowingly went out of her way to get this guy when she knew he was not just married but had young kids. I can’t wait for her karma.

      • SE says:

Agree with Liz’s statement – LeAnn is profiting on her (and Eddie’s) homewrecking choices – I don’t blame Brandi for commenting.

      • Jano1981 says:

Perfectly explained little darling. I agree.

    • lucy2 says:

I agree – when it came to protecting her kids, such as complaining when Leann used them as paparazzi props, by all means, but this is just to further her own fame. She must have needed some attention, and knows this is the quickest way. There’s no reason whatsoever for her to be commenting on this publicly, and it only makes her look bad.

    • Lex says:

She’s gotta be in the news to put food on the table? Ummmmmm how about she gets a JOB

      • maria says:

Rhobh is a job. She makes 100k a year on it. Leann can’t write the narrative of Brandis family destruction and pretend its all light and happiness. Good on brandi for reminding people leann is a soulless trick whenever leann goes on her pr binges

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

…Brandi doesn’t have to say ANYTHING, that’s the thing. She doesn’t have to say a word and she would STILL come out on top. All she has to do is sit back and let Leanne dig her own grave.

She doesn’t do that and there’s a reason why she doesn’t: because if she engages with crazy-ass Leanne it gets her write-ups in blogs and tabloids and free publicity for her reality TV show.

        Sure, it’s probably a smart move, but it’s a very famewhore-y one.

      • Marie Antoinette Jr. says:

Exactly Maria, and part of that job is to stay relevant outside of the show. The best paid “Housewives” always have something else happening in the media other than just the show.
Dumb Leann doesn’t realize all she is doing is helping Brandi to become more famous, more successful. The irony is that pretty soon, because of Leann’s help, Brandi is going to be able to afford to buy her husband back free and clear! LOL 😉

      • gg says:

She does have a job on TV. I think it’s very sad they both think they have to continue the spat like a couple of eleven-year-olds in the playground.

Continuing to engage doesn’t prove anything at all except their maturity level (age 11).

    • heidi says:

It is so right for Brandi to call Leann out on keeping this mess alive. Leann will NEVER shut her yap about her conquest. Hell, she wears it like a ‘badge of honor’. So wrong to be exposing Jake & Mason to the songs & lyrics! Why isn’t there a furious uproar over THAT???!!!

      • Babalon says:

        +1

“…no one wants to hear you cry over getting everything you wanted…”

Though I’m disappointed that she made a comment – she has a point. A fair one.

She’s going to be tapped for comments throughout the tour and promotion. Hopefully, she’ll find a way to gracefully decline in future.

    • Emily says:

      Yep.

    • moon says:

The thing is, Brandi’s comments while bitchy actually do make sense – whereas LeAnn’s does not. Those lyrics sound very Swifty though.

  2. virginia5 says:

wtf, I thought Brandi would stop talking about leann. I will never defend leann, but Brandi is no better. They both need to grow the f*ck up.

  3. mkyarwood says:

    Neigh-Ann. Classic.

  4. Jacqueline says:

I love the supreme bitchiness in the “no one wants to hear you cry about getting everything you wanted.” Zing-tastic!

    • brin says:

      And true!

    • Southerngal says:

      Love it!

      • Insomniac says:

Yeah. As much as I wish Brandi would stop engaging LeAnn, that was pretty good. And brutally accurate.

    • Deanne says:

I’d never thought about it that way but that is exactly what LeAnn is doing. She got her “prize” but is now crying about it. For someone who supposedly got everything she wants, she sure complains a lot. Good one Brandi.

      • doofus says:

“For someone who supposedly got everything she wants, she sure complains a lot.”

and I think it’s because she hasn’t QUITE gotten what she wants.

she got Eddie (such a prize!) but she ALSO wants everyone to think like she does…that is, that she WON and that people should be happy that she won. the fact that people aren’t on her “side” and celebrating her win is what REALLY bothers her and is why she’s crying about it. she HATES that people see her as “the bad guy”.

    • Cool Phosphorescent Shimmer says:

Brandi’s got her there. Zing-tastic indeed.

    • nc_magnolia says:

      ITA.

For those who want to say, “Brandi’s no better than NeighAnn”, guess what? She actually IS. As far as I know, Brandi has never broken up an entire family, then proceeded to profit from continually vomiting up the details of her adulterous affair.

      • scylla says:

My first (and probably last) comment on this stupid “feud”:

Eddie C. broke up his marriage with his wife.

Leann R. broke only her own marriage up.

      • Marie Antoinette Jr. says:

Agreed nc__. Eddie and Leeann broke up a family. Leeann and Eddie broke up a marriage. Brandi has done neither.

  5. RN says:

“She’s not going to win any fans by writing a song about breaking up a family. It’s old news — no one wants to hear you cry over getting everything you wanted.”

Great observation. LeAnn can’t be doing that well, because she’s playing at the zoo (!) in my area this summer.

  6. Kate says:

Ugh, why didn’t Brandi just keep quiet and let her fail?

    • karmasabiatch! says:

      Ummm…

Prolly because LeAnn writes songs for public consumption about how she stole BG’s family? Jesus, everyone has a breaking point. LR, please just STFU and go away!

      • Kate says:

But if/when the album fails, these comments give LeAnn ammo for her victimhood and someone to blame (not that she wouldn’t have blamed Brandi anyway, but this just adds to it). I bet LeAnn LIVES for these attacks — negative attention is attention, after all. Engaging her does more harm to Brandi than good. And at this point, Brandi is more famous than most of the other ladies on those Real Housewives shows anyway, so I think she can afford to stop continually associating with LeAnn in order to get attention. If Teresa Guidice and NeNe Leakes can stay in the news, Brandi probably can, too.

      • karmasabiatch! says:

        @ Kate-

Yeah, you definitely have a point. Its just that I honestly understand why Brandi reaches critical mass when Horsey continues to overload the press with her “poor me” stories. Disgusting. If it makes me angry to read this tripe, it must make Brandi almost suicidal/ homicidal. I can totally understand the occasional snipe from BG, hate to see her vilified…that’s all. Le sigh.

      • Zooyork says:

I agree with everything you said, karmasabiatch.

  7. C. C. Cedras says:

Saw LeAnn perform last fall — part of our symphony season package, I had to look her up on YouTube before to get an idea about what to expect. She performed most or all of her songs from Spitfire. While not as bad as BG makes out — of course she hates them, who wouldn’t in her position — it was just the most bitter, depressing evening of music we’ve ever spent.

    • Christin says:

She came to an area near me within the last few months, and I thought about going, just to see for myself. I don’t know anyone who went and haven’t found reviews related to the concert. It would be interesting to know if the focus is on performing or talking about the personal drama.

  8. Christin says:

I agree that B knows what to say to get in her digs. When her book was ready to launch, all the media antics from the other party probably helped book sales. I really thought the public had soured of the drama by that point. I’m not sure that anything will help the album be a success, but we’ll see. Just put it on the shelves of that one retailer and see what happens.

  9. neelyo says:

I miss the old days when feuds were settled by duels at sunrise.

  10. Nerd Alert says:

    LOL

This woman exists just to make me laugh, I’m sure of it. Other people hate her, can’t stand her, and I get it. But to me she’s a caricature.

Look at her, she’s a hot mess. Leather fingerless gloves, pirate shirt with obvious dark bra underneath. And then she calls up ITW and is all “you know what I hate,” simultaneously surprising nobody ever and spot-on in her review.

I’m not about to listen to country music, but I read the lyrics and they are shitastic. She’s right about that, and so, so classlessly hilarious. Live on, Brandi.

  11. Ella says:

I think this time, Brandi has legitimacy in speaking up when songs written are about her and her past situation. It’s completely disrespectful for Leanne to rub the affair in everyone’s faces and ears and especially Brandi’s. No, this will not help the feud but at least she didn’t take to twitter to battle it out. She was probably legitimately asked her thoughts on the album and gave her opinion. She has the right.

    • brin says:

      I agree.

    • Christina22 says:

      I completely agree

    • BeachBelle says:

Yep. Don’t write a song about “Borrowing” a man when it was actually stalking and stealing a woman’s husband and expect her to be quiet and have no opinion about it. Not going to happen.

    • apsutter says:

I agree. She has every right to speak up about it because MANY of those songs are about her. Not just how she was cheating with a married man but blatantly written for Brandi. Her “Spitfire” song is so freaking pathetic and bitchy and clearly about Brandi. I was on youtube listening to her trash out of curiosity and there is even a song about how Leann is just a girl like “you.” The you being Brandi and she even says that Eddie might break her heart too but she had to take the chance. Yuck.

      • Alarmjaguar says:

I don’t think anyone here denies she has a right to say whatever she wants, but in the PR war going on here, she should have taken the high road.

  12. gg says:

… and back and forth and back and forth … and on it goes into eternity. Hand me the gun.

  13. Esti says:

I can’t even with these two. No one is coming out on top here, Brandi is every bit as gross as LeAnn and Eddie is obviously just as bad if he was willing to marry both of them. Just tacky tacky tacky on all fronts.

  14. Lisa says:

omg, duct tape her fucking mouth, please. She has no room to be holier-than-thou about twitter wars when she says things like this.

  15. DGO says:

Brandi’s book tour isn’t over. She’s still got book signings and interviews.

  16. Delia says:

I wonder if its possible for Leann( other artist as well) to buy up a lot of her own albums… To give the illusion it sold well… Can that happen?

    • emma says:

      I’m sure she would.

    • Deanne says:

LeAnn bought a man to make it look like he loved her, bought her engagement ring, her anniversary gifts and a multi million dollar “casa” for them to live in, so I wouldn’t doubt that she would download her own music just to save face. Everything she does is a ruse to continue the facade that her life is and probably always, has been. I can buy 1000 records off Amazon, why couldn’t LeAnn.

      • Macey says:

I thought only Walmart was selling it? I dont think you can get on Amazon but not sure.

I’m pretty sure the first couple thousand were bought by LR. Its not unusual for labels to do this too, just to get the song on the charts. I dont think LR has a label any more (??). It definitely looks like she’s on her own for promotion too.
I saw the one pic she posted with her holding a sign for her album in Walnut, it was taken by her phone so I dont even think her label, whoever that may be now, is putting any money into the promotion at all.

    • heidi says:

If she’s in the business of buying husbands and twitter followers of course it’s possible~how about likely?!!

    • Christin says:

I have wondered the same thing. A bunch of purchases/ downloads in the first week or two could help push it up the charts. How long an artist could keep up such purchases is the question.

I have no idea how well this particular album will sell, but why all the delays? Someone I know who is a casual observer of this drama was amazed that it still has not dropped in the States. It does seem like a long time.

  17. Christina22 says:

I don’t think Brandi says any of this just to stay relevant, I think Brandi is in a very tough situation having Leann being involved in her kids lives and I think that is the main reason Brandi speaks out at all. We know some of the drama Brandi has to deal with daily when it comes to Leann and her boys and I don’t think any of us would be able to keep our mouths shut and watch crazy Leann rimes do her thing if we were in Brandi’s shoes. I think Brandi would have to be super human to not let it get to her.

  18. cindee woods says:

LeAnn’s album kicks ass. It’s the best thing she’s done since she blasted onto the music scene YEARS ago. Brandi is NOT a musician and doesn’t know squat.

    • Zoid says:

Not that I’m defending Brandi here, but you don’t have to be a musician to think an album/lyrics blow.

    • EammesP says:

      Hi LeAnn!

    • Deanne says:

So you are saying that only a musician knows about what sells albums or what makes a good album, because, no one bought her last one and it got good reviews. The public haven’t been buying what she’s been selling, so musicianship is the last thing that matters in terms of the public’s perception of the new record and how “good” it is. A lot of people are offended by the content and context in which the record was made. They don’t care if it “kicks ass”. Music is one of those things that is subjective. What’s good to one, make suck to another.

      • cindee woods says:

I’m just saying that LeAnn’s new album is kick ass. Period. And my own opinion of brandi and her knowing good music and lyrics is that she just is bitter and doesn’t know good music when she hears it.

    • littlestar says:

I may get flack for this, but oh well, I love my fellow Celebitches anyway :O). I’ve listend to a few of the songs off Leann’s new album, and yes, they are actually really good. What makes all of us angry though, is the MATERIAL her new album is based on. The song “Spitfire” is REALLY good (and I am NOT a country music fan even!), but knowing it is actually about Brandi leaves a sour taste in my mouth (especially since Brandi did NOTHING to Leann). It’s unfortunate. Leann is actually a talented songwriter and singer, but she’s throwing her career away over a loser of a man, Twitter, and her obsession with Brandi. It’s hard to like good songs knowing they’re about breaking up a family and the singer showing no real remorse over it…

    • karmasabiatch! says:

      OMG.

Paid Twit-followers of LeAnn (or her two other friends), unite!!

      Totally hilarious.

    • candigirl says:

Horseanne the only ass your cruddy trailer trash yodel fest kicks is your own. Go get some real therapy, for a long time. Get intensive psychiatric help for your delusional narcissism and vindictive hate filled actions: like the current lawsuit you have against a mother of six children and special needs teacher Kim Smiley, who you called and harassed and cussed out for disagreeing with you, or your lawsuit against Brandi’s dentist who you went to in your obsession to look exactly like Brandi, or your daily swf-ing of Brandi and the exploitation of her kids to make yourself some money and get into the tabloids?

    • drdoolittling says:

      Nope. pretty much sucks. HARD.

    • Jamie says:

LOL OMG, you can’t be serious. One does not have to be a musician to know good music. Nice try, though. NEXT.

    • Sal says:

Sorry Cindee Woods, but you are embarassingly WRONG. Leann’s album FLOPPED and sucks ass majorly. The songs flop, the music flops and the lyrics flop. Shes on around position 600 and something on the charts. Sorry as a fan of Leanns that you are so bitter, but clearly you know nothing about music because with this spectacular FLOP of an album, Leann is now finished. For good! So get used to it and deal.

  19. qtpi says:

Ha! Look at what Neigh-ann just posted on twitter!

“I ain’t gonna get stuck in your muck and mire”
    “Sweetie, bless your heart.”
    #spitfirejune4

Methinks responding IS getting stuck in the much and mire. Look how quickly you responded #edsatm!

I think Brandi would like to move on but this keeps her relevant and the money rolling in. She has a small window of time to do this before the media/tv shows move on. Hopefully she is stashing cash left and right.

    • Iyanla says:

Brandi is Leann’s muse for her music, and her life! It’s relevant to hear Brandi’s opinion, since Brandi, her marriage to Eddie, and her life are the inspiration for Leann’s album.

Leann must have a Brandi Glanville google alert, because her latest tweet is a response to Brandi’s comments I’m sure.

Leann needs to sue her plastic surgeon because her face is jacked! She’s been complaining she “tripped” over a dog and busted her lip very bad. I’m like, yah right, it’s probably her first oral herpes break out from Eddie

      • brin says:

        LMAO!!

      • anon33 says:

Well this is somewhat off topic, but your comment about Leann now claiming to have “tripped” over a dog is very interesting. I work in disability law and many many many many of my claimants go to the doctor/ER claiming multiple “falls” and injuries, to the point where these people are at the ER (sometimes even multiple different ERs, and then the doctors start to talk to each other, which gets even more interesting) every week repeatedly alleging “oh I fell. and yep, I fell again. and then again.” Mainly in order to get pain meds, and they usually end up not actually having anything tangible wrong, such as a fracture or what have you…anyway, not precisely on topic. But an interesting insight into Leann’s personality, what with all of her claims of botched dental work, etc.

  20. InvaderTak says:

She’s starting to look like Rachel Zoe.

  21. BeachBelle says:

Let’s not forget the subject of the album. The family LeAnn broke up was Brandi’s, and the so called “Borrowed” man was Brandi’s husband. She also has taught the songs to Brandi’s sons, and she sure didn’t have any problem tweeting it out to the public either. I fully expected someone would ask Brandi about the album, and I’m not at all surprised at what she said. It’s the same thing many other people have already said, too.

    • PhillyGurl says:

This is what i was shouting at the computer. If you look at the timeline on Leann’s twitter you will read all the times she played the cd to the children. This cd is full of adult content and should not have been played for the boys.

  22. Macey says:

I dont blame Brandi at all for voicing her opinion on the album. After all it is indirectly about her and lets not forget that LR taught BRANDI’S KIDS the lyrics. She has every right to check out what “music” HER kids are listening to. LR was also the instigator in this by tweeting that Brandi’s kids were singing the hook from it when she knew damn well that her kids were not doing that.
Sorry but the people that bash Brandi for voicing her opinion here n there really need to realize what else is happening in the background. She DID try to ignore LR but she kept putting tweets out there just waiting for a response from BG. Nope, I dont blame her at all. If I had to deal with a crazy wife with my kids knowing LR is forcing them to listen to her crap, Id absolutely check out what she was making them listen too.

  23. emma says:

I love this line : “no one wants to hear you cry over getting everything you wanted”

  24. Bella Bella says:

I wish Brandi would start wearing tshirts with horses screen printed on them. I’m so childish.

  25. Soxfan says:

How old are these “women”?? They are both acting like middle-schoolers. Grow up, both of you. And way to model inappropriate and immature problem solving skills for the children involved. These kids are also going to someday read about all of this nonsense and see what a dick their father is, and what lunatics they have for a mom and step-mom. (Though, if my ex-husband’s mistress, now wife kept me from getting in touch with our kids-I would be livid as well-not sure I would take to a social media site to announce it, but, I would be VERY stabby)

  26. Vanessa says:

Brandi has a right to voice her opinion About Leann crap cd because the whole damn cd is about what Leann did to Brandi and her kids. When Brandi had a her book Leann and Eddie did everything they could to discredit Brandi . Leann and her minions put out stories that Brandi cheated on Eddie and that one of Eddie sons were not his . Brandi is right no one wants to hear a whole album about you whining because the public didn’t see you and Eddie as a epic love story Leann is the reason her career is in toilet not Brandi and Leann was allowed to comment on Brandi book Brandi is allowed to stated her opinion on Leann cd. Leann career in music is over doesn’t matter if she has a good voice there are plenty of talented singers in country music right now with better voices than Leann they actually take their craft seriously and they are not involved with petty twitter drama and personal drama like Leann is . Leann is too caught up in behaving like a immature mean girl she would rather spend her time harassing and attacking Brandi on twitter and in the media. I think she only is trying to promo this cd so she can keep talking about the highlight of her life which the affair and destroy a family which in my opinion is sick and very sad.

  27. Itsa Reallyme says:

Leann did Brandi a favor by stealing that tool away. The kids are who I feel badly for. Because of L and E’s selfishness, the kids’ lives are in shambles and they only get to be mothered by their mother half the time.

  28. Theresa says:

This isn’t engaging. LR asked for this kind of scrutiny and attention because she hasn’t been able to shut up about the cheating since it happened. And to record an album based on this, like it’s something to be treasured, remembered and celebrated, is beyond bad taste. Brandi’s opinion is going to be sought after and it would appear disingenuous of her now if she clammed up. That simply is not her style.

Brandi certainly is enjoying success on the heels of her rival, but more power to her. She automatically wins in my book for being the cheated-on spouse who was mistreated and devalued by both Eddie and LR, as the first wife typically is.

I am sure Spitfire will crash. She has no market anymore, no demographic. No one wants to listen to autobiographical warblings from this has-been, no matter how good her voice.

The best thing about all this, is we know that LR CARES so much about how she is perceived. To have this record rejected once again by the public will make her CRAZY! And that’s when it gets good…

  29. judyjudy says:

I actually like some of the songs from the album. I can separate the music from the drama. The other day I was singing the lyrics to “Borrowed” to the loaner car I had while my car was in the shop. It was totally luxe and I didn’t want to give it back!

The feud between these two is so tiresome. I think they’re both cray.

    • sunny says:

just to clarify, it was the CAR you didn’t want to give back…because you BORROWED it…correct?

      • judyjudy says:

Yes, I was singing it to the car. LOL!

I think borrowing a luxury car is pretty sweet. Borrowing a husband, not so much.

  30. Skins says:

Not a fan of either, but at least Leann writes songs and makes albums, what does the other one do except manufacture drama. Brandy wouldn’t even have a career and be making money if Leann didn’t steal her man. She should be praising Leann every day for taking the cheating scum off of her hands and allowing her to earn a good living to boot.

    • Iyanla says:

She is a mother to two beautiful children and IMO, is a good gal.

I don’t care if a person like Leann is as talented as Leonardo Da Vinci, you don’t get a free pass for being a Backstabber, Abuser, Imposter, Taker, and a Reckless person.

Leann is still a shitty person, just a shitty person with a nice singing voice.

    • Cinnamon says:

well, Brandi is a New York Times best selling author and sold more books than Leann’s past few records combined soo….she’s doing her thing AND making a living pissing off rich bitches in the 90210. better way to live than being stuck with a cheating husband and a hemorrhaging bank account

    • Sal says:

Yeah, Brandi should be so so grateful that Leann split her family in two and caused her to lose her sons 50% of the time. rolls eyes. Are you insane? Do you honestly think Brandi would prefer to be famous or, to have her children and family? She didn’t CHOOSE to be in the spotlight, but since Leann FORCED her to, she is making the best of a bad situation. People who say Brandi should ‘thank’ Leann are very sick and ignorant. Seriously, there is something wrong with you and those who think like that.

  31. ya says:

I’m pretty sure Spitfire wont do well on the charts – it’s classic country music, not country pop, and that doesn’t get played on the radio anymore unfortunately. But sales don’t say anything about the quality of the music – most of the stuff I listen to doesn’t sell well, and I really enjoyed this album – it’s much better than LRs earlier stuff, which was more processed/packaged for mass appeal.

Brandi needs to keep this feud going to stay relevant with the tabloids, etc – I’m sure she knows that…… And LR is playing right into Brandi’s hands with her actions.

    • apsutter says:

I agree about the music. I think it’s probably her best work so it’s a shame about the subject matter and the fact that she’s an unlikable whackadoodle.

  32. hatekyle says:

Brandi should have her own “REVIEWS SHOW.” Just like who’s that old hag, Joan?, who reviews fashion. She would be phenomenal.
CALL HER WHAT YOU WANT BUT HER REVIEW ABOUT HOMEWRECKER LEANN’S ALBUM is so SPOT ON!

    • Iyanla says:

that would be hilarious!!! She’s such a smack talker like Joan. I love people who aren’t afraid to state their opinion and say what everyone else is thinking

  33. Boom boom says:

the music is good on the album but the lyrics and song writing are horrible .. just cheesy crap . im a spitin fire , spit fire, …. yadda yadda yadda ..
you are a grown woman who broke up a family and then harrases and torments the matriarch so you dont have to own up for what you did .
Spiting fire ? At who ? The poor wife who got cheated on and had to watch a homewrecker step in .
Spit fire , too bad no one wants to listen to a horse face sing about the nasty things she did while she was married . Your base was country -ie- family values , kids, church, country , and love. No one cares about the night you escaped from your stable and had sex with a real live man .
At this point, shes just living off our memories of the cute 12 year old that had an amazing voice .

    • ya says:

Well, cheating songs are at the heart of country music – her album really follows in the tradition of that. And many of the major country stars – Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline – cheated on their spouses. Patsy Cline often sang about it too – she had a ton of songs about infidelity in her catalog.

Unfortunately her country base has also become very hypocritical about that history too – especially with the internet etc.

    • prayforthewild says:

“No one cares about the night you escaped from your stable and had sex with a real live man”

      ^BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    • candigirl says:

      LOL!

  34. DEB says:

Please, Brandi, PLEASE keep quiet and don’t engage. You’re winning. You will always be ahead of her. Shut your face and let her keep making a fool of herself. See a lawyer about how she endangers your children, too.

  35. Emily says:

And here I thought Brandi didn’t claim LeAnn broke up her family. I remember her saying it was Eddie who broke up the family by cheating, which is what is true. Am I misremembering?

I seriously don’t like this woman. And I don’t like LeAnn either. And Eddie should be shot to Mars with a cannon. Their poor kids.

  36. truthful says:

    sorry, I LOVE the snarkiness!

  37. Dedrie says:

    Your cheatin’ heart,
    Will make you weep,
    You’ll cry and cry,
    And try to sleep,
    But sleep won’t come,
    The whole night through,
Your cheatin heart, will tell on you…

    When tears come down,
    Like falling rain,
    You’ll toss around,
    And call my name,
    You’ll walk the floor,
    The way I do,
Your cheatin’ heart, will tell on you…

    Your cheatin’ heart,
    Will pine some day,
    And crave the love,
    You threw away,
    The time will come,
    When you’ll be blue,
Your cheatin’ heart, will tell on you…

    When tears come down,
    Like falling rain,
    You’ll toss around,
    And call my name,
    You’ll walk the floor,
    The way I do,
Your cheatin’ heart, will tell on you…

    • KellyinSeattle says:

Her music is an attempt of the literary style, “Horton Hears A Who”….no offense, Dr. Seuss.

      • ya says:

The lyrics Dedrie quoted are from an old Hank Williams classic, not a LR song.

      • TLC0113 says:

Not quite sure if you are referring to the lyrics above for “Your Cheating Heart” by Hank Williams Sr, which is considered by many as one of the top country songs of all time, something with which I actually agree. I also agree that it is a perfect ode to Leann 😉

      • Christin says:

“Your Cheatin’ Heart” (lyrics posted above) is an example of a GREAT country song (both the writing and the way Hank Sr. sang it). And it sure does describe this situation, doesn’t it?

Which songs and singers from today will be remembered 50 or 60 years from now? Very, very few, I’d guess.

  38. Bread and Circuses says:

Eddie Cibrian may be a cheater–which is far worse than being a whackadoo or a famewhore–but a cheater can keep his mouth shut.

He’s the worst person in this love/hate triangle, yet he comes off the best just for keeping his lips sealed about it all.

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

Well he doesn’t come out the “best” but you’re right in the sense that no one talks about him much, mainly because the dude isn’t on twitter all day like these two.

  39. april says:

I think Brandi is just as much of a witch as Leann. That’s why this fighting will never end.

Brandi looks good in the second photo with all the fillers she’s done. I think having her cheeks filled out makes her look attractive. Otherwise I thought she was average looking.

  40. Tina says:

I used to like Brandi, but this is getting ridiculous. If you don’t k ow where your kids are then take Eddie to court and figure it out there. Brandi needs to stay relevant so she picks a feud with Leann so her name stays relevant. If I had this issue I honestly would ignore Leann that would infuriate her more. I bet all three of them talk on how to stay in the tabloids. Never have I heard Brandi talk ill of her husband she blames it on the other women. It’s like blame it on him. Tired of people blaming it on the other when in reality it is the spouses fault no one forced the spouse to cheat. Also, Brandi flaunts how they allowed other women in the relationship it’s like then don’t cry about it later that he cheated.

    • msw says:

In her book, she makes it clear that Eddie is to blame for his wandering dong. But since the media loves to villify women when a marriage breaks down, I’m sure she is directly asked more questions about LeAnn than Eddie (it doesn’t hurt that LeAnn was more famous).

As for the implication that Brandi somehow asked to be cheated on because Eddie liked to watch her make out with other women, give me a freaking break. That was consentual. Eddie screwing around on her outside the marriage was not. But if it makes you feel better to blame the woman somehow, I’m sure you can find your own press pass somewhere.

  41. Leslie says:

Yep, Brandi should have kept her mouth shut. Now LeAnn will blame her for the album failing. It has already failed and is selling for $10 at Walmart. In a few weeks it will be in the $4.99 discount bin.

    • brin says:

And Leann would be wrong again. She never takes responsibility for her own actions.

  42. ycnan says:

I don’t understand how anyone can defend or like this women. My god, just cause you were cheated on doesn’t mean you are a good person. She sucks so hard, I pity those kids so much to have those 3 “adults” as their parents. Dear kids, you do not stand a chance of growing up normal and being productive people.

    • scylla says:

THIS…. I don’t like BOTH women but I can’t believe how the “cheated-ons” get a bonus just for that no matter how shitty they behave.

  43. Miche says:

Brandi was asked a question about LR’s music so she answered it what’s the big deal? She has right to respond to songs that LR states her stepsons are walking around singing (which is a total LIE probably). Since the whole album is based on the affair and since the affair affected BRANDI the most (not you #EdsATM) then it’s her prerogative to respond. Lastly, the album is gonna TANK. Badly. And fast.

  44. Rita says:

None of the songs that have been released from the album have charted. The album tanked in the UK where all her gay supporters live (per LeAnn) and the preorder sales in the US are worse than her last album which was an embarrassing failure.

So Brandi thinks the album stinks….seems like the rest of the music buying public agrees with her.

  45. Cinderella says:

Next step…selling CDs out of the trunk of her car.

    • BeachBelle says:

I can already picture her exercising in her driveway as the UPS truck pulls up delivering boxes and boxes filled with her album from Amazon.

  46. Jennifer12 says:

My opinion is that Leann has been poking at Brandi for weeks, just as Kaiser said. The point was to get her to respond and make some drama because that’s the only way that Leann is going to get any press for her album. It is absolutely going to tank and she is using any means she can to get sales up there. Look at how she made sure to comment that she had the boys on her own for two days; that’s like a red flag to their mother. All she talked about in the interview were her stepsons. She hasn’t actually DONE anything else of interest besides chase Ed around and take him on expensive trips prior to the album coming out. That’s why as soon as she could, she responded with lyrics and her record’s hashtag. Brandi needs to learn the art of succinct response, though: “My only comment about her record is my request that she stop teaching songs about breaking up my sons’ family to them, as she has stated on Twitter.”

    • Ming says:

THIS! brandi’s comment should be: “My only comment about her record is my request that she stop teaching songs about breaking up my sons’ family to them, as she has stated on Twitter.”

      • Jennifer12 says:

Of course, it’s easy for us to say have that self control… we don’t deal with crazy Leann on a daily basis, nor have to entrust our kids to her. I’d be homicidal by now. But I do think it would behoove her to try to make these succinct remarks. I thought she didn’t write enough about the stalking and inappropriate behavior towards the boys in her book.

  47. Jane says:

I’m waiting for someone to rib the he** out of Leann by asking her why, if she is such a gloriously talented woman that SHE wasn’t asked to perform with the Rolling Stones like Carrie Underwood did? WE of course know the reason why, but she wouldn’t know the reason and would block people.

  48. candigirl says:

I wish Brandi would never comment on Leann again, no matter what she does. I wish she would handle everything privately with the court.
Engaging your own personal multimillionaire celebrity stalker who continues to SWF you every day and uses your kids to manipulate and hurt you is not a wise decision. Leann is mentally ill and probably back on drugs, so fighting with her is not helpful. This is the crazy drug addict/drunk woman who regularly has sole care of your kids. Leann has been known to put the boys in dangerous situations repeatedly and taunt Brandi about it. The best way for Brandi to protect the boys is to stay away from engaging Leann, especially in the media.

  49. betty says:

Brandi was right no decent woman would make an album about her cheating. Leann is in a desperate situation she knows Brandi book was #1 and a bestseller and if her album is a flop that would be a big come down for her knowing Brandi succeeded while she failed. Brandi does not owe Leann anything and should call her out every time she pulls her antics. Maturity has nothing to do with it but calling it like she sees it. Leann has gotten away with too much. People like Leann mistake kindness for weakness and only back down when they are confronted.

  50. hatekyle says:

the album should have been titled Homewrecker 101 or Homewrecking for Dummies

  51. Me says:

Wow, Leann just admitted to US Magazine that she had the boys for two days, by herself, No Eddie…just as many have speculated. This was probably the day that Brandi could not get ahold of her children because A.) Eddie didn’t answer his phone because he is too busy mackin on hoes in Canada and didn’t want Brandi to know he was gone and B.) Leann didn’t answer the phone because she’s spiteful and wanted to make Brandi freak out.

If its true as Brandi says, that their custody agreement is such that Brandi gets custody when Eddie is gone…how DARE Leann and Eddie withold those two kids from her. How DARE Leann keep those two boys for two whole days when they should have been with their MOTHER. If I were Brandi, I would have called the effing cops for KIDNAPPING.

I can’t believe Leann thinks she is so untouchable that she can flaunt her alleged violation of the custody agreement to US MAGAZINE!! Leann Rimes is the scum of the earth for keeping those kids from their mother. Its one thing to steal a husband, it’s a whole other to interfere with a mother’s relationship with her sons. Go to hell leann rimes!

  52. Snowpea says:

By crikey, Rimes is a f*cking psychopath and I thank my lucky stars my ex didn’t hook up with a madwoman like this uneducated hillbilly.

Seriously, how much more can Brandi take? Her CHILDREN are with this lunatic half the time!

I would be certifiable or homicidal or both by now.

  53. Dirty Martini says:

I cannot abide either one of these, but bluntly ….LaR has talent. Not much else, but girlfriend can sing.

All BG has a rejuvenated VJ and a story to tell repeatedly. Ad Nauseum.

I’m buying the damn album just to add to sales, and promptly throwing it away just to NOT add to any hype or knowledge about it.

My way of thumbing at both of them. That’s just how I roll.

  54. Anais says:

Love Brandi, love this ongoing gossip thread. Just look at the number of comments! Whether it’s positive or negative, it’s still hype. Say what you want- she is making money and putting bread on the table. She was put in an awful situation by no choice of her own and she’s making the best of it. I say… Strong woman. Really–What would you do?

  55. Isa says:

I do think she has a point.
And I was right! I knew she wouldn’t be able to stop talking about Leann.

  56. palermo says:

and this is why I say they are BOTH nuts. Neither one can shut up

  57. Elisabeth says:

two women fighting over a piece of garbage.

  58. VioletCrumble says:

How old is this woman?? My god, my Grade 5 pupils conduct themselves with more maturity and decorum. The two of them need to learn the value of discretion.

    Famewhore-y is spot on.

  59. Memphis says:

If the trick that helped destroy my family was teaching MY sons to sing her songs about their daddy having an affair with her- you can be damn sure talking would only be the starting point..kicking serious ass would be step #2.

This POS album is nothing more than a poorly written, badly sung bunch of BS for Le to happily obsess over for years to come. She’s not embarrassed or sorry about what she did, her actions have made that clear. So I don’t think Brandi needs to be sorry for calling her out on it.

  60. Lesalou says:

Brandi knows the only way to put Leann in her place is to do it publicly. She does not respond to anything else from Brandi. I think she shows restraint in her comments because I can only imagine if I were in her shoes how I would react. Leann flaunts those boys as if she owns them and their worthless Father allows it to happen. Kudos to Brandi for how she puts up with both that psycho and her ex. This album will tank. Leann does not have the talent she had as a child. She has a good voice at times but never anunciates her words where you can even understand what she’s singing. Hope she has enough money to live on the rest of her life cause the days of making millions is over. Can’t wait for Eddie to find another one with money and kick her to the curb. Now that will make for interesting reading.
