Here are more photos from last night’s CFDA Awards in NYC. Let’s get to it! Rooney Mara wore Calvin Klein, because she’s Calvin Klein’s newest Aloof Face. I actually think her Calvin Klein is interesting and it looks decent on her – it looks like shredded silk, maybe? Is there some kind of “velvet effect” happening? Whatever it is, it works. I just wish Rooney would stand up straight and figure out something better to do with her hair.
Elizabeth Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen came together. Lizzie wore a suit by The Row, her sisters’ luxury label. Mary-Kate wore vintage Issey Mikyake. I hate the vintage look (and MK looks awful!), but I like The Row suit. It’s awesome.
Candice Swanepoel in a really budget-looking Prabal Gurung. This looks so cheap!
I have no words for Jessica Chastain in this Givenchy LBD. UGH!!! She’s so pretty, and she looks terrible here. Why pull back her pretty red hair? Why this god-awful, unflattering LBD? Ugh.
Olivia Palermo in Dennis Basso Spring 2013. I thought it was Marchesa. Because of the FRINGE.
Kate Mara in Dolce & Gabbana. This dress makes me feel sorry for her.
Zachary Quinto in Todd Snyder. I kind of like that Quinto is a big Fashion Boy nowadays.
LINDA. EVANGELISTA. Isn’t it great seeing her on red carpets again? She’s wearing Oscar de la Renta – old-school, but interesting.

I feel like I’m the only one who loves the Mara sisters.. anyways Rooney looks particually meh for me today. I think Kate has a beautiful face. And Candice for the love of god eat something!!!

When I saw the Olsens, my first thought was, when did one of the twins hit a growth spurt?
Olivia Palermo is my fave from this list, which isnt entirely surprising.
Whomever made the decision to use burnt orange as the back drop. Needs to be fired.
It throws off the colors of everyone there… from their faces to their outfits.
Now that being said. Linda Evangelista is divine. Always has been.
But the evil girl that lives in me… really wants to see Linda Evangelista striking a pose next to Mary Kate Olsen.
Just to show Mary Kate how a girl is suppose to wear vintage couture. And make it look effortless. Instead of the bag lady/hobo look… she ends up with.

Do They Not bring anything to Rooney with Color In It? Is it forbidden? Is that girl with the Dragon tattoo thing over? Is it cause it went affairy with Daniel Craig? So Many aloof questions!!!
Do designers hate Kate? Do they know to bring her her sister’s Castoffs? Or….?

I wonder if Rooney Mara is as unhappy as she looks. You rarely see photos of her smiling. It’s a shame because she’s a good actress with an interesting screen presence. I never saw “Girl With The Dragon Tatoo” but I thought she did a great job in “Side Effects” (the movie itself was meh but she was great).
I finally saw Side Effects and Rooney Mara totally won me over. She did wonderful things with the character; her face has so many interesting angles and she is very expressive. In motion, she does look a lot like Noomi Rapace, so oddly identikit casting in hindsight (for Girl with the Dragon Tattoo).
Anyway, I’m fond of her now so am happy to see your style posts about her!
