A few days ago, we heard that Kim Kardashian really was planning to do a photoshoot with little North Kardashian (I’m going to keep calling her that, okay?), despite Kris Jenner’s desire to debut North’s first baby pics on her new talk show. Allegedly, Kim and Kanye were negotiating with a magazine for a multi-million dollar shoot, and they were allegedly going to give the money to charity (yeah, right). Well, now Us Weekly is saying that Kanye has pulled the plug on all of that for now, and that he turned down a $3 million offer for North Kardashian’s photos.
North West isn’t ready for her close-up just yet. The first daughter of media mavens Kim Kardashian and Kanye West won’t be making her big debut in the spotlight anytime soon — for any price. The media-savvy couple have yet to share any photos of their tiny bundle of joy since welcoming her into the world on June 15, though they’ve been offered a whopping $3 million from an Australian magazine to do so.
“Kanye’s been adamant about not having the baby on the show,” an insider tells Us Weekly. “He was serious when he said North isn’t America’s baby, so he may not do anything.”
The rapper’s protective, paternal instincts move beyond just maintaining North’s image, however. West, 36, has been a doting father to his daughter, becoming a “super worrywart” over her and trying to stay by her side as much as possible.
“Kim told him it was good to get out!” a friend of the Yeezus rapper tells Us. “He couldn’t wait to get back. North is all they talk about.”
His new family-centric attitude is even starting to affect Kardashian, 32, who has toned down her usual social media frenzy in the past few weeks, only breaking her silence to wish sister Khloe a happy 29th birthday on Thursday, June 27.
“Motherhood has changed her,” a source tells Us.
I think if you really want to go the “this isn’t America’s baby, I don’t want to famewhore my baby out” route, the celebrity should just post the first baby photo onto a social media site. Kanye’s on Twitter, and Kim has a Celebuzz blog, an Instagram account and a Twitter (and more). Just post the first photo like that be done with it. Easy. Isn’t that exactly what Beyonce and Jay-Z did with Blue Ivy too? They posted her first photos on Jay’s website.
Also – I’m suspicious of Us Weekly’s reporting on this issue because Us Weekly has been known to “embed” their photographers with the Kardashians to publish exclusive, Kardashian-approved photos. I think Us Weekly is one of the magazines trying to bid on North Kardashian’s first photos, and they’re playing hardball to scare away other publications from making offers.

I chuckle when people say that Kim is not relevant. Yet, every entertainment site, blog, newspaper, etc. has been talking about them and their new baby. Kanye, Kim and baby North are a tabloid dream. Kanye is in control of baby North and all plans to reveal her to the public. As for the money if and when there is a magazine cover of baby North, will go to charity if he is involved.
I really hope you are right about that, because if Kim is left to her own devices, Lucifer’s homegirl will definitely take over.
They are only on those covers b/c they pay to be on them. Pimp momma has those tabs on speed dial to keep the stories rolling. That doesnt mean everybody reads them. I skip most kardashian articles b/c its the same thing, different week, diffrent publicity stunt. I only read about them on here mainly b/c of the writers and other posters.
As far as the old ‘donating to charity’ they claim they would do, thats nothing but BS. IF they do it would be to Kris’s bogus “church” which anyone that knows anything about accounting will tell you most of those celeb “charities” are nothing more than a tax shelter for their income and a way to give their families bogus jobs under the guise of “charity”.

And also why must he copy what Jay-Z did? I thought he is supposed to be such a genius and would come up with his own scheme. More than likely he is crying to Anna Wintour to put the baby and Kim on the cover of Vogue. It would kill two stones with one bird if you will. It’s just a matter of when and by whom that they get paid for a picture or pictures and NO they won’t give anything to charity. I don’t believe for one minute they were offered 3 million for pictures. It is just not happening. I saw an interview from on the mags and he said that they are not paying that kind of money anymore. That Kim/Kanye at most could be offered 1 million
and regarding selling that first pic. I understand it for celebs that are truly hounded. But I also notice that many of them that have sold first pics (which I don’t see a problem with. first the babies are so young you couldn’t ever identify them not) and for the most part those children are not photographed as much as the children whose parents are putting their pictures on twitter of instagram all the time.
People like seeing babies. Mainly to see what they look like. Do they live up to the combination of both parents. Or is it a fail.

Personally I think its up to the parents even if I don’t agree with how some celebs sell images. Any picture is theirs to give, not mine to take.
Not all celebs sell their pictures to the media. So no, they are not “d@mned if they don’t”.
I guess what I mean is that they are always going to be judged regardless of what decision they make.
I don’t really have an expectation to see any celebrity baby pictures, so I have always viewed it as their choice as to how they chose to share them.
Agree with you Sam. And it is their decision whether to sell the pictures or not. But what needs to happen is that these “sources” putting stories out there about the pics should keep quiet and then maybe the backlash and judging would stop (and I say MAYBE).

Honestly I think it’s because the baby’s biracial and people want to see her skin tone. Simple as that. Harvey Levin (TMZ) even stated on TMZLIVE that that’s why he wants to see pics of little Northwest Kardashian.

Where some can say ‘Absence makes the heart grow fonder.’, I believe in the fast-paced ‘here today-gone tomorrow‘ world of Hollywood, the longer they wait, the less ‘hype’ will be surrounding them from the birth itself.
People will just get bored w/the whole subject, & move on to the next celeb-birth or scandal. Once that happens, the ‘big name reveal’ will just become another ‘blip’ on the radar.
But why would people buy a magazine to see the baby? They can just look at them while waiting to pay for their groceries? Or they can look at them online. It’s a mystery to me as to why anyone would pay Kanye for a few photos of their baby.

And even more so with the internet, once a photo is out there, it’s everywhere and the “exclusive” nature of it is gone. Probably why they aren’t paying the big bucks anymore.
I think people care less about Jessica’s baby because no one cares about who her husband is, and frankly her baby is a boy. The biggest baby pics so far have been girls – Shiloh and Suri – from parents who were equally famous. Plus, Jessica’s cover with Maxwell sold poorly.
I’ll confess I bought the People Shiloh cover, but not the VF Suri. But then I’ve despised Tom Cruise for a very long time. I will not be buying North’s magazine but would like to see the baby.

I would NEVER spend my money on one of those trashy rags. I used to occasionally read them at the gym (they were just floating around!) until I found Celebitchy. Now I get all the celeb “news” I need AND I get to read funny and interesting comments.

@TOKitten – I’m the same way, always have been. The only time I ever read those mags is when I’m in some kind of waiting room (doctor’s office, some government building, what-have-you) or when I’m stuck in a long line with them sitting there on the rack.
CB is way more fun (& way more honestly informative, being ‘minus’ the ass-kissing rag mags spend so much time doing), & is one of the few ‘blog’ environments with intelligent, properly written (using only a reasonable amount of word-shortening) comments. =)

I don’t think any newborn is that pretty until at least a month or so when they’ve gained a lot of weight. But then again I’m a sucker for chubby babies….I was one.
Yes. It’s a combination of all the possible factors. They want the best money deal possible, drum up as much interest as possible, and for the baby to fill out and look “cuter”. The LAST thing this family is doing is putting the baby first.
