Ellen Page and Alexander Skarsgard are doing it. Or not. Or something. Maybe she’s gay. Maybe he’s gay. Maybe she’s Skarsexual. Maybe she’s bisexual. Maybe he has a real thing for petite women. Alex and Ellen have been photographed together in candid paparazzi photos, looking affectionate on red carpets, and looking loved up in Twitter photos, but still people have questions about their actual relationship status. Are they simply friends who kiss and nuzzle each other? Or is Ellen getting some Hot Viking action? Well, Alex was asked about it by OK! Magazine Germany, and here’s what he said courtesy of Film-News.co.uk:
“Ellen and I are friends,” he assured the German edition of OK! magazine, jokingly adding: “If I was really dating every woman I’ve been linked to, I would never be out of bed!”
Alexander isn’t sure he would be open to romancing someone in the same industry as him again.
“Besides; dating actresses is hard,” he continued.
“They usually don’t have time for things like that. When they do have time, then it’s me who’s standing in front of a camera somewhere else. Also: I don’t treat a new film set as an opportunity to score some dates!”

So, Alex is saying he and Ellen are just friends and that if he had to bang every costar, he would never get out of bed, and he also seems to be saying that he’s not all that interested in actresses. Which is weird, because he’s dated several. But sure… whatever. He’s never going to come out and say “Ellen Page is my girlfriend, she’s Skarsexual!” even if they are in fact bangin’. I’m also interested in hearing more about this Los Feliz house. Does it have some sort of Viking sex grotto?

That interview is 100% made up. He does NOT speak like that. It’s from a website that takes celebrity quotes and then twists them and adds crap.
He’s definitely not dating Ellen though.

It might be made up but if not, this was most likely translated twice so it’s impossible to say that he doesn’t talk this way. I would go out and buy the magazine (maybe I’ll just skim it at the supermarket) but that won’t work either because it will still be a translation.
Having said that, I totally believe that he’s not looking to date an actress again, precisely because he’s done it a few times. *cough* But you never know. I love the hot Viking but he doesn’t exactly put his money where his mouth is.
It is possible, since these quotes came from a site called Cover Media which is trash.
He has said before it’s hard to date people in the business since schedules are so tough, but also that it’s good because actors have such weird lives and only other actors understand that. How is that not putting his money where his mouth is? Whatever.
I have gotten so on board with this pairing, they should definitely be doing it!

And his new screed that “dating actresses is hard” and he doesn’t do it, is really pathetic in its duplicity. He has always dated actresses and models, and he always will. In another interview he’s said that he has to date actresses because it’s easier. Now he’s saying he won’t because it’s hard.

There’s big difference there btwn “I’m not sure I would” and “I’ll never”. See, even I know that though English is not my first language 😉

His print interviews aren’t bad but when he goes on a show he comes across very poorly. I tend to lose my crush a little when he does Conan and stuff. He just says stuff that he think people wants to here. Like he’s to chicken to show people who he is. You would think he would be better at doing them my now.
I lost my crush a while back. And I had it bad, almost as bad as the Cumberb*tches and the Dragonflies have theirs. Almost. But Skarsgard is off. I don’t know why. Can’t put my finger on it either. Don’t care anymore to try and figure it out. But he’s off and after awhile he’s just too much to deal with. Like a teenage boy. It really eclipses his talent. He should be further in his career than he is, as he is very talented. There’s a reason he’s not. I’ve moved on to Cumbers now. What an incredible talent who just keeps climbing up and up…and (ahem) a mature, natural man.

Well, if it was said to the German edition, obviously they translated it to German, and then got translated back, so, it’s possible a lot got lost in translation. it’s actually funny seeing google translate stuff and translate back….not quite similar to original text. But quite funny, though.
So assuming for a second he did say it in some form: of course he would, he has to appear accessible to “normals”.

True blood is premiering in Europe, so maybe Alex was actually interviewed. But I dont think he usually denies dating a specific person by name. He usually just says he’s single or something.

Yes, because it couldn’t POSSIBLY be a piecemealed, lifted interview where he might have explained the pros and cons of dating inside and outside the industry. Inconceivable!
