Miley Cyrus stops following Liam Hemsworth on Twitter: drama queen?

Miley Cyrus

I think most of us can agree that there’s nothing even remotely remarkable about Miley Cyrus’ new music. It’s all just an attention grab, but it’s working at least for that purpose. As far as longevity and ticket sales go, we’ll see. I don’t think there are many people who would pay to watch Miley grind her ass against teddy bears on a world tour. There are many millions who will watch her deep and cerebral music videos as long as they contain nudity. “Wrecking Ball” is the fastest video to receive 100 million VEVO views:

Miley’s life isn’t all fun and games at the moment. Well maybe it is all about games. Someone over at People noticed how Miley unfollowed Liam Hemsworth’s Twitter account on Saturday. That’s a total high school move, right? I always find it hard to believe when any media outlet notices any celebrity “unfollowing” at the precise moment it happens. I wonder if Larry Rudolph gave People a call.

Miley Cyrus

For what it’s worth (and it’s not much), Liam is still following Miley. He’s also ignoring the situation as usual by attending a Vegas fight (Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Canelo Alvarez) all by himself. This week’s issue of Us Weekly says “Liam refuses to end the engagement” because he “avoids confrontation.” He simply “drives her car and eats her food. She’s rarely home, so they never see each other. They don’t even try to spend time together.” Of course “January [Jones] consoled him” over Miley’s antics at the VMAs. Meh.

Robin Thicke finally broke his silence on the VMA act. He spoke to Star magazine (via EW.com): “I didn’t feel anything sexual about the performance. I thought it was silly and funny, she was being humorous and naughty, but it wasn’t sexually charged at all.” The Smoking Gun website acquired a bunch of complaints made to the FCC. The following accusations have been tossed in Miley’s direction:

* “Millions of teenage and pre-teen children who watch this show to see their favorite music celebrities were exposed to her ‘dirty’ dancing and sexual display.”

* “Had I wanted my family to see a h–ker perform a live sex show, I would have taken them to Tijuana.”

* “The scars on our childrens [sic] minds cannot be easily erased. They may now think this sort of thing is condoned and respectable behavior.”

* “My ten-year-old daughter was watching with us as a singer she had previously admired and watched consistently on the Disney Channel twerked and gyrated and humped a foam finger.”

* “Miley Cyrus needs to be detoxed from her behavior, her clothing, her dance moves, and taught how to keep her tongue in her mouth. I suggest 12 months in a convent!”

* “God help this nation and those who desire to pump more filth into our living rooms. DO something and earn your pay.”

* “A lady would never conduct herself like that” … “she is acting like a devil flicking that tongue.”

* “Obscene, slutty, indecent implied sexual acts with bears and foam fingers.”

[From The Smoking Gun]

I had to stop reading these letters. They’re as silly as the parent organizations demanding MTV be punished for Miley’s twerking. This wasn’t a network broadcast of Justin Timberlake ripping Janet Jackson’s shirt off at the Super Bowl. The VMAs are only aired on cable television and are notoriously risqué. Parents who don’t want their kids exposed to rude gestures and potential nudity should know that already.

I do have a problem with handling the Miley problem as an issue of slut shaming. The issue isn’t grinding and acting sexy. The problem is Miley screaming for attention while using childhood motifs like teddy bears and balloons while posing in a see-thru top. I don’t have a problem with Miley sexualizing herself since she is an adult, but she’s intentionally sexing up symbols of childhood. That’s gross. Letting Terry Richardson “liberate” her is gross. As for the “devil” tongue, Miley only does that because it annoys all of you.

    Drama baby.

  2. Evyn says:

Those parents are idiots. Who in the hell let’s their kids watch the VMAs, anyway?

    • BGirl81 says:

Too right! I was at the grocery store this morning and overheard one woman complaining to another about Joan Rivers’ language on Fashion Police, saying “It was completely inappropriate for my 8 year-old!” Ummmm, lady, why the **** is your 8 year-old watching E! after 9pm?!

  3. grabbyhands says:

    Ooooooh, BURN!!!

Yeah, I’m sure the entire Helmsworth family is in a panic trying to figure out how to get back in her good graces.

If she’s so damn strong and mature, she should break up with him and then announce that they’re not together-not unfollow him on Twitter like some dipshit, butthurt teenager.

  4. DanaG says:

Miley just wants attention any attention. That is more a sign of her lack of any real talent then anything else. That clock is ticking! She should date Justin B he does the same crap. Liam needs to man up and just admit they have split and move on. He doesn’t need her does he?

  5. Nicolette says:

I doubt he cares, and he’s probably relieved. Time to move on to someone better.

    • SBJ says:

You can’t say everything and the opposite in the same sentence. Either he doesn’t care or he’s relieved.

      • Nicolette says:

You can not care and be relieved that someone is exiting your life. I know I’ve been there before. When a bad relationship is done and the emotions are gone, you can certainly be relieved when it’s over and done with and you can start a new chapter in your life.

      • SBJ says:

If I stop caring for someone, by definition, what he/she does or say doesn’t touch me anymore so if one is relieve it’s because one’s didn’t really stop caring after all.

      • Ducky la Rue says:

@SBJ – Perhaps the word “care” is the sticking point for you. I’d agree with Nicolette that if I don’t care enough to continue a relationship with someone, I basically don’t want them around. So yes, it’s a relief when it’s over and I don’t have to deal with the drama of a dying relationship.

I don’t wish them harm, I don’t really care what they do next, but I’m relieved when they step out the door and we can both move on to the rest of our separate lives. 🙂

  6. Why says:

Acting grown up, but (still) being ( (A)child(ishh)…

  7. RocketMerry says:

    Here’s what I think happened:
They were young and attractive and working on a project together; their people suggested they go on a few dates and they ended up liking each other. After a while they figured “Well, we’re young and attractive, we should totes get married!”. So they got engaged.

Then, Miley started craving real Britney-level fame. Hence the new management and the shenanigans. Young Liam probably thought “Hold the phone, babes… what’s all this about?”

Now they either have been broken up since a few months ago or are on the verge of breaking up, but both cleverly figured that the on/off drama serves them well on publicity terms, so… Here we are.

    Aah, young love.

  8. aims says:

My issue with Miley is, she’s trying so hard to be talked about. She can rub her ass on anyone and thing. She’s over 18. I think it’s a gross way of being noticed, only because I think it’s desperate. She has way to many people telling her she’s the next Madonna, and she’s not. Madonna is interesting and intelligent.

As far as the tongue goes, it’s like nails on a chalk board.

  9. Mika says:

I won’t be so proud of the record-breaking if I was her. I think 80% of the viewers (including me) were only interested in seeing how trashier she can get after the horribly awkward We Can’t Stop video. The song itself is good but we all know Miley didn’t write that sh-it.

  10. j.eyre says:

Well, some of those parents letters are just outrageous. I mean, Tijuana does have wonderful sex-shows, granted, but it’s quite a haul just for the night. I am sure there is some fine family sex-show viewing right there in that person’s hometown. Maybe they should check Yelp.

  11. Launicaangelina says:

These parent complaints are ridiculous. First, the VMA’s are not for children. It’s become obvious over the last couple years that Miley is no longer Hannah Montana so don’t watch the VMA’s and expect Hannah Montana. Second, if you are going to let your kids watch the VMA’s, Gaga’s performance was a good sign of what was to come with her bare ass. Thirdly, if you made it through the beginning and got to Miley’s act, it was clear she was shooting for risqué the moment she stepped on stage. These parents are ridiculous.

And yes, I agree about the slut-shaming. People really need to stop with that. All of of us are allowed to explore our sexuality. Miley deserves to be condemned for having a bad performance and utilizing childhood imagery but quit calling her a slut.

    • Jennifer says:

      +1

      • Tig says:

To suggest that her VMA performance was her “exploring her sexuality” is really being flattering. It was “Look at MEEEE!!” writ large. And Robin Thicke’s interview is just ugh- to think they practiced that fiasco???

    • Nina W says:

I haven’t read much slut shaming but I have read a lot of bad reviews for her sad and overly-sexualized performance.

  12. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

    Break up, already.

  13. Macey says:

I couldnt care less about these two but I am beyond sick of seeing Miley’s tongue everywhere. My gawd what is it with the tongue sticking out schtick, she looks so gross doing.

  14. TherapyCranes says:

I don’t have a problem with her overt sexualization. I actually don’t even have a problem with attention whoring. If that’s the route she wants to take then by all means go for it.

I’d say this is pretty norm for a young female to block/remove/ignore their significant others from social media. I have a few friends that are younger than me and I always roll my eyes at the level of drama they bring into their relationship.

  15. Bijlee says:

“drives her car and eats her food” well THANK GOD this was finally acknowledged. Lima, budget, is a pathetic jack hole. And mileybis stupid to continue staying with him. DUMP HIM! I guess the reason she doesn’t is because so many idiots fall for his no talent ass and shell be on the chopping block for not being good enough for him.lmao.

I think you’re both made for each other so either he needs to realize you own him and start being a respectable young trophy husband (no shame Liam if you get a career like Jessica alba doing baby stuff, no shame!) or you need to dump him, Miley. Please!

    • Irisa says:

This! I’m so f!ing tired of people talking about that Douche like he’s some innocent lamb that she’s corrupted. He’s a climber and Miley is at the top rung, of course he’s not gonna be the one to end it.

      • Mia 4S says:

I can’t shake the feeling that if someone better were available he’d be long gone. For example if Jennifer Lawrence were interested? He would be out the door so fast Miley’s head would spin. I can’t stand the talentless Miss Cyrus but as you say, there are no innocent lambs here.

      • Anna says:

Thankfully (hopefully) JLawr seems smarter than that. And has a preference for publicity-shy dudes (Hoult).

    • Katarina says:

I agree. Liam is no angel. He’s cheated and been a douche but Miley gets all the blame. Just becauses somebody (Miley) has changed doesn’t give you the right to go and cheat. Also, I don’t think his ego can handle that Miley is more famous and making more money.

    • Violet says:

Liam is no better than a prostitute, using Miley for her money and connections. The icing of the cake is that he even uses the engagement to attract bottomfeeders like January Jones, who hook up with married men.

What Miley, or anyone else, sees in him is a mystery to me.

      • Carry says:

I guess Miley is not better then a prostitute ether because she used him as well, to gain media attention and she still doing it.

They both used each other whether it was part of an agreement or not.

      • Violet says:

        @Carry

For that to be true, Liam would have to be equal to Miley. But that’s not the case: On the cash and celebrity scale, Liam is waaaaaaaaay below Miley.

I’m no fan of Miley’s, but the reality is that she gains plenty of media attention on her own.

      • Leila in Wunderland says:

I actually believe that at some point during their 4-year relationship, they actually were in love. It wouldn’t surprise me if they still cared about each other even now. But they obviously have some serious problems in their relationship. It’s clear that they’ve both grown apart. Miley Cyrus is on the cover of Bazaar, and in the interview she says that they’re definitely not planning a wedding right now.

I want them to either officially break up, or resolve their problems and go back to being a full couple, because I’m tired of hearing about their relationship in the media so much.

    • Kath says:

      Agree 100%.

  16. Saffie says:

For someone who has been in the business has long as she has, she’s incredibly immature. All of her attention-grabbing antics and behavior are just a result of her immaturity and constant need for attention. The problem is that she has an almost pathological need for attention and he is dull as dirt. Seriously, an inanimate object has more personality. He also doesn’t seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed. How these two thought that a marriage would work..especially at their age..is beyond me.

    • Bex says:

I think I subscribe to that theory that celebs stall out at the maturity of the age they achieve their fame. There are some exceptions but there are a lot who keep that theory going!

  17. Shelley says:

I’m Team Miley…simply for the fact that she is an adult and quite frankly the world is in need of entertainment. There is nothing wrong with twerking, and kudos to her for being a white girl doing it. There is also nothing wrong with being a famewhore. People are just mad because it’s working for her.

    • Bijlee says:

There is definitely something wrong with being a dumbass. Which she most definitely is. And yes kids. Being a famewhore is bad. Making money off being a famewhore is even worse. Not a good thing. I refuse to make it sound like a good thing when the only thing this girl is trying to get love and credit for is her body and antics. Not her intelligence, her talent, her abilities, her skills, her mind, nope her body and her antics to advertise mediocre music that the masses will buy because of the “novelty.” So sorry it’s bad.

And no I do not agree with any of those stupid dumbaass complaints to the FCC. lol people have too much time on their hands. Why would you watch the vmas with your kids?

    • Anname says:

There is nothing wrong with being a famewhore, as long as you don’t care that a great percentage of the attention you are receiving is from people who find you ridiculous. I am not “mad” about Miley, I just think she looks like a trainwreck. And where does she go next, more trashy?

    • Masque says:

But it’s not really working for her if people are laughing AT her. The majority of commenters aren’t slut shaming her, they’re talent shaming her because she’s pretty terrible at dancing and just kind of randomly spazzes rather than learning an actual dance routine.

I’d be willing to bet the majority of views for her videos are guys being pervy or people watching for the hilarity factor rather than a genuine appreciation for her “art”.

    • Shannon says:

We are in need of entertainment?? Well I don’t think we are in need of this specific entertainment. She’s a hot mess. She can’t entertain to save her life.

    • Nina W says:

She’s not acting like an adult and there is nothing entertaining about her ridiculous show-boating. If she had actual talent she wouldn’t have to resort to exhibitionism like this just to get attention.

      • sauvage says:

To me the really sad part about this is that I actually think that she HAS quite some talent. Miley Cyrus has a wonderful singing voice. But for sad, sad reasons she apparently feels that just being herself is not good enough. Granted, most people in show business develop a persona, but what she’s doing right now seems just really desperate to me. And it makes me sad watching it.

Happy, confident people don’t famewhore. There, I said it.

And, yes, she grates on my nerves just as much as on anyone else’s, but I still can’t help feeling for the girl.

  18. serena says:

    * “Had I wanted my family to see a h–ker perform a live sex show, I would have taken them to Tijuana.”
LOL that made me roll over, too funny. Next I bet she’ll do something with her hair, I don’t know maybe some crazy coloured wig in a Gaga-Perry move. And then, maybe, she’ll come back with proper clothes, videos etc. One can only hope.

  19. The Original Mia says:

I’m team Miley. Thought all the drama over the VMAs was ridiculous. It’s the VMAs. It’s outrageous and always has been.

As for Liam. I think he’s a dickless wonder, who could get out of his situation if he wanted to. If he’s so embarrassed by Miley, leave her. Neither are that important to the world that it’ll stop rotating. Allowing the media and his PR to slag away at her, while he stays safely away from the fray speaks more to his character than hers. After the recent January Jones rumors (sexting…really?) and the NYPost report about his macking on a girl at TIFF, it was about damn time she did something to disengage from him.

  20. OhDear says:

Meh, I don’t think she’s a drama queen for not following LH on Twitter (assuming she didn’t call up People Magazine to tell them that). I don’t think his still following her is that big of a deal, either – maybe he doesn’t use it as often or doesn’t notice that stuff.

Agreed that people generally are criticizing her performance for the wrong reasons (at least the pearl-clutchy “she’s so slutty” ones).

  21. Adrien says:

It’s refreshing to see her smile. The tongue thing didn’t annoy me at first because most “wild” popstars stick their tongues out anyway (Ke$ha, Rihanna, Gene Simmons)until I realized she was trying to make fetch happen. It was corny.
I think we have exhausted the VMA twerkgate/Wrecking Ball video topics. There’s nothing more to add. Her latest lovelife drama seems boring to talk about. So yeah, whatever.

  22. K-MAC says:

Who cares if Miley wants attention, she is 20. Who cares is she stops following her boyfriend or ex boyfriend on Twitter, maybe that is her way of trying to let go…she’s just being Miley, you know.

And we all have done things when we break up with someone that if blasted on the national media circuit, would get scrutinized to within an inch of its life.

  23. epiphany says:

Yawn. These two broke up weeks ago. They were seen together occasionally during the summer, because he had a film coming out, and her new album was about to be released, and we all know 1+1 = 3 in terms of publicity. He thought he was getting a bubbly, fresh-faced all American girl, and she turned into – that.

  24. Bree bree says:

I occasionally read blind items on CDAN & haven’t actually read it, but apparently there is one about a singer who’s team is manufacturing a breakdown, faux-Britney style. Everyone said it was Amanda Bynes but what if it’s Miley? Just wanted to throw that out there. And she’s sooo embarrassing. Even before these sheningans, have you heard her speak? God.

    • Leila in Wunderland says:

That’s really interesting. It has to be either Miley Cyrus or Rihanna- I can’t imagine it being Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, or anyone else.

  25. Trisha M. says:

In defense of Liam, who only does it for me when he’s scruffy, shirtless, and surfing, he’s the sole reason I came around on Miley awhile back, circa their engagement, pre-haircut and makeover. She’s always been super annoying, why her current antics only get a shrug from me. So he may be eating her food, driving her car, and living in her house, but he helped her brand, which yes, kind of makes him an employee of Miley, Inc. Her transition from Hannah Montana to 2nd rate X-Tina Stripped-Era “Dirrty” Blonde started with him, in their relationship. She went from girl to woman in it. And given that his deep Aussie dicking likely played a role in her sexual awakening, I both give him a pass and blame him, at the same time. I mean, he got me, who worships at the altar of Patrica Clarkson, to stop hating Miley Cyrus. The conjecture surrounding their relationship, from his supposed cheating to his using her, is nonsense. They’re a celebrity couple, making their union more an arrangement than a pairing anyhow, especially given how public their coupling has always been. And I strongly suspect Miley is now attempting to win their break-up, with the new onslaught of gossip obviously leaked from her camp. The thing is, no matter what she says or does, all he has to do to cleanse himself of her is walk the red carpet at the Hunger Games premiere in November. If his brothers and parents show up, game over. It’s sad actually, given she is and has always been the bigger star.

    • Bijlee says:

“And given that his deep Aussie dicking probably played a role in her sexual awakening.”

Ok this legit made me laugh. Liam is still a butt though.

  26. Shannon says:

She’s doing it to keep people talking. I couldn’t care less about this trick. She’s just gross.

  27. LesBitches says:

Hate on Miley all you want, but everyone and their mothers are talking about her non stop for the past month or so. Everywhere I go in public I overhear conversations about her so regardless of what you think she’s got people talking.
All this while Liam is out promoting his bombtastic movie, or with his much more famous brother. As well he seems to have no problem being labeled as engaged, while flaunting his infidelity. Though there hasn’t been any concrete evidence it seems pretty obvious to the entire world that he is done with her. Pretty harsh.
I do feel like Miley is seeking all this attention for the wrong reasons and do wish she would stick with a more laidback vibe but this is the choice she has made. To be new pop royalty—whether you like it or not!!

    • Nina W says:

People trash talking about you is hardly a sign of great success. Given the 24 hour media cycle in this country of course Miley is the talk of the moment but that doesn’t mean it’s a good thing or good for her career. She’s a joke.

      • LesBitches says:

What is good for her career is 100 million views on her latest music video…So people are not only “trash talking” her—they’re also tuning in. And I bet you they buy her album too!

    • aquarius64 says:

Let’s see if the Grammy people think she has enough talent to be nominated. VEVO hits, Billboard chart placement, etc. are irrelevant to that panel. They judge if the songs are musically and vocally sound to be worthy of a nomination. Being a popular search subject, having a fan base, and running up sales DO NOT COUNT. If Miley gets shut out like Justin Bieber was this year, this will be a slap in the face for Miley. A Grammy nom and a win add prestige to an artist. It also runs up sales of his/her work because recognition by NARAS means it’s quality. A Grammy snub would brand Miley as a joke as a musician. As bratty as Miley acts she would not take it well. She would put NARAS (Grammy people) on blast for snubbing her.

  28. MisJes says:

Liam won’t even have noticed she unfollowed him, because I’m pretty sure January Jones doesn’t get Twitter between her legs.

  29. emma says:

I still think it’s so odd that these young singers have to “prove” their sexuality by going so over the top.

And the two songs I’ve heard off her new album sound like the same sugary slow pop stuff she did before. I will be shocked if people actually buy her music because her last album failed, and this sounds the same.

Interesting that the quote said that “he’s driver HER car” and “eating HER food”. Like he’s a bum and she’s just out working so hard?

  30. Hakura says:

As Justin Timberlake said, it’s the VMA‘s, it’s not like she did it at the Grammy’s. EVERYONE knows the VMA’s aren’t for young children. (Hell, I know it’s ridiculous, but I wasn’t even allowed to watch MTV until I was 16. I did it anyway, of course (& this was ‘back in the day’ I couldn’t just go online for it).

All the big ‘flare ups’ about risque crap on tv the last decade have been from the VMA’s (with the exception of Super Bowl), like any one of Britney’s/Rihanna’s performances.

They were offended by it, so they’re trying to use their kids (who never had any business watching it to begin with, which is THEIR fault) in order to complain about it.

Re: Miley ‘unfollowing’ Liam on Twitter: Who the hell cares?

  31. iheartjacksparrow says:

People is reporting the engagement is off.

    • Carry says:

If the engagement was real its been off for mouths. They just been using it for attention Example: all the tweeted pictures of Miley with out her ring, rubbing on some guy and tweeting stuff about breaking up and then deleting it. Not to mention all the convenient photo ops after every one of the stunts I list above, when most of the time they were apart.

I’m starting to wonder if the engagement was real in the first place, I’m smelling Kardashian BS all over this.

  32. susan says:

Well good for her! Sorry but it was about time she got rid of that loser. Perhaps he will be January Jones’s next baby daddy. Liam is a cheater – some here might not like her behavior but at least she did not cheat. If he did not like her behavior he should have ended it like a man – not some pathetic coward and cheated. Here we go again in our society always blame the woman – she didn’t keep him happy, she acted wrong, etc. Every excuse but never ever blame the man – Liam is nothing without miley and his brother – did you see the flop his last movie was?

    • St says:

I always wonder how peoople know that Liam cheated. He was sitting in a car with JJ. And then there were tabloids accusations. And tabloids are still writing how Brad dumps Angelina and calls Jennifer every night. You can’t trust them. There were no confirmation from anywhere. Only tabloid speculations. Yet Liam is labeled as cheater.

And everyone kind of knows and it was written everywhere that they were over months ago and Miley did not want to let go.

      • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

That’s what I don’t understand. They used the same limo…..presumably because they have the same management (that’s what I heard/read, so don’t take my word for it). The only reason this is a thing, is because January has that reputation–at least in the tabs.

It’s not like he’s been seen with her, in private. So yes, bash him for not ending it soon w/Miley, for eating her food and taking her car, but not for cheating….we honestly DON’T know…he could be, it’s possible. But we don’t know. There is nothing concrete to even suggest it.

      • Nina W says:

It’s just tabloid BS but people believe it. They don’t want to be bothered by facts.

      • Bread and Circuses says:

Yeah, I think it was over ages ago. Here’s my pet theory:

They were happy in love. Then Miley got The Haircut of Great Personality-Change and things began to get rocky.

Then they got very rocky, and Liam and Miley decided to take a “break” while still maintaining that they were together for publicity purposes.

Then Miley starts twerking and sticking her tongue out and being as naked as possible in public. Liam realizes they are not on a “break”, they are over.

Furthermore, the publicity relationship is not working out for him because Miley is behaving in such a sexually-available manner that it makes him look like a doormat of a boyfriend.

Liam throws in the towel and begins dating casually, albeit discreetly.

Then Miley goes on the VMAs, and Liam is even more humiliated by his “fiance” blatantly disrespecting their “relationship”. He stops giving a crap about being discreet when dating other people.

The press spots him, reports on it, and Miley–with typical egocentrism–decides Liam is the one not adequately keeping up the facade of them being engaged.

She gets mad and ends the faux-romance, citing Liam’s unfaithful behaviour.

And Liam does not give one single crap because he stopped dating her months ago and all the press attention she was getting for him was negative anyway.

  33. St says:

Yeah. It’s official now. People confirmed. Which is stupid from Miley. They should have broke up few months ago when that really happened. Instead they were officially together for their careers. And now for everyone it will look like Liam dumped Miley because he was ashamed for her after VMA performance and in general. Now Miley will look like a loser. I wonder if she will try to hook up with someone quickly. It would be hilarious if Liam will find some good girl actress with good image.

Also that record looks more and more shady. Miley is so obsessed with it. We didn’t even knew that some Vevo records existed until Miley started to blab about it on Twitter. Britney’s new song is everywhere, everyone listens to it and is has less then 2 millions in 1 day. Those One Direction fans were watchin like crazy their clips and songs. I don’t believe that that many people went watching Wrecking Ball 20 times a day. And it’s very disgusting video. You can’t even watch it more then 2 times.

I think that Miley’s team arranged some stuff when they would put it on refresh somehow. Kinda like Lady Gaga was begging her fans to do. Only Gaga was stupid enough to do it publicly. While Miley’s team did that privately. She is too obsessed with those records, to prove to herself that she is very successful and that everyone listens to her singles.

I’m not team anyone. Who knows if they were even really together when he supposedly cheated?

  35. IceQueen says:

Hmmm… He has a failed movie to promote and she has an album coming out, so I guess it’s one of the ways to promote their material.

I don’t think Liam is an innocent flower, nor is Miley that crazy and wild. It’s management-not necessarily a good one (especially in Miley’s case but any publicity is a good publicity).

I think they’re not a couple even before Miley cut her hair. (Maybe the hair is a result of the break up/heartbreak, who knows..)

  36. Leila in Wunderland says:

It’s not slut-shaming if someone doesn’t think Miley Cyrus is talented or a good artist or if they dislike her or whatever.

It is slut-shaming if people call her a slut, a whore, a tramp, trash, or any of the other variants of slut, because anytime you call a woman any of those names for showing skin, for doing ‘suggestive’ dance moves, or for sex she has had, it’s slut-shaming. Slut-shaming and criticism are two completely different things.

Yeah, Miley seeks attention through twitter, through her performances, and her music videos. Is that such a bad thing? There are much worse things a celeb could be doing than harmless attention-seeking. I don’t see the attention-seeking of pop stars as either bad or good, I usually just see it as a natural thing. If it’s a celebrity that I like, I actually want them to do some famewhoring. And the truth is that every last one of these pop stars does attention-seeking throughout their careers- attention-seeking and being a pop star seem to go together. It’s about catching the eye. I can understand a person finding it annoying to keep seeing and hearing a celebrity who isn’t one of their faves getting so much attention. That’s why I deliberately avoid most Kardashian and Lohan stuff. I just don’t see why some 20-year-old pop star’s harmless attention-grabbing antics are enough to bring out one’s inner Massie Block or Newt Gingritch.

…Miley is a dumbass. Sorry. So yes, famewhoring so hard like she does is indeed a bad thing. When you have nothing else to offer and all you have to rely on is your idiotic love life and your stupid famewhore tactics. You forgive this girl for practically anything. The tactics kim kardashian uses to further herself ARE NOT a harmless thing. Considering how incredibly dumb the girl is, IT IS a bad thing. No one likes it when the Kardashians do it. So yes, in this day and age it is an annoying bad thing.

To everything who is blaming Liam for this and calling him a cheater: you have any PROOF he cheated? Like pictures of him and January making out, grinding on each other, etc.? How about some sexed-up texts? Sorry after Kristen Stewart’s Mini-Coopering, if a cheating allegation can’t be backed up with that level of hard evidence, it’s BS. This sounds like Miley’s PR team is putting out a smear campaign to make her look like the victim. Since Miley’s been bashed for her new sleazy image she needs sympathy, and of course her fans are lapping it up. If Miley wants to play hard ball, fine. But she better be prepared to have HER past and her actions vetted more deeply now in light of her new persona. Let’s not kid ourselves, the gossip press will dig for more dirt, proof that she was stepping on Liam with Lord knows who. It’s more hits for them. If they come up with something (I think they will) Miley has no one to blame but herself when her team opened the can about January Jones. The press went hard on Justin Bieber (and still does); it will eventually turn on Miley too and be worse on her than before.

If you’re going to swing expect to get swung on.

  38. Lola says:

I like Miley. I feel sorry for her too. Maybe all this was to catch Liams attention away from the weird January Jones. Showing she could be just as sexy as the older woman. I dunno, she needs to quit smoking pot. She’ll calm down. She is just going through a hard stage.

  39. Lucy Goosey says:

I am sure the Hemsworth family is happy that it’s over. I see this young woman and see the future Lindsay Lohan.

The only thing I feel sad about is all the tabloid stories and bad press I can see blaming Liam for her future OD.

  40. Camille (TheOriginal) says:

Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus are officially dunzo. Thank god that is finally over!

  41. St says:

Looks like Miley did not want to let go Liam for so many months. It was looking like they were over back in February. But now Miley was finally ready for it. She thinks she is queen of the world right now. New Madonna and Britney Spears or something. And she was ready to go solo. But should have done it sooner. Now she will always look like a stupid loser who was dumped by her hot boyfriend because he was ashamed for her.
