Tina Fey brought it big time at the Emmys in a royal blue Narciso Rodriguez dress that showed off her amazing hips to perfection. Sometimes I forget that Tina has such a great figure, but there’s no mistaking it in this dress. The fabric is also great with just a hint of shine and a body-hugging factor that doesn’t look cheap. The mini train is perfect, and Tina owns this look.
Tina (along with Tracey Wigfield) also won the Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for her work on 30 Rock. That makes her a double winner. Her hair and make up are also pretty great. I would have maybe tried an updo for a little more adventure.
Jane Krakowski wore a shiny blue Zac Posen number and looked really cute. This is a different look for Jane, who is fond of spangly gold or yellow gowns. She’s shaking it up a bit, and it looks good. The bust detail is just right and doesn’t look all “shelfy” or “eyeglassy” like several other gowns last night. The fabric is a bit wrinkly at the bottom, but that’s hard to avoid.
Amy Poehler looked very beautiful but failed to reach her ultimate potential in this black Basler dress. She could be such a bombshell, but this dress is just awful. The cut is all wrong. I have no idea what’s going on with the gold hip ornaments. Oh Amy.
Aubrey Plaza looked very prim and proper in Marios Schwab. This is a very conservative look for an award show red carpet, no? I don’t like it at all. The fabric is fine, but the cut looks like something that a pilgrim would wear to the Emmys.
Heidi Klum continues her general trend of being the worst dressed supermodel in history. That’s probably too harsh. Compared to most of Heidi’s looks, this wine-colored Versace dress isn’t bad. The neck detail looks a bit uncomfortable, but I’m just glad her rack isn’t hanging out everywhere. I wish I had her glowing skin.
Padma Lakshmi looked like a dream in this white Kaufman Franco dress. The silhouette by itself would be a little boring, but the strategic side cutout adds some much needed drama. The back view is pretty amazing and sexy.

I was really beginning to think I was the only person on earth who didn’t worship Tina and Amy. I don’t actively dislike either of them, but I don’t really get the hype and Tina especially can become very grating. *ducks*

Jane looks lovely too, and I wanted her to win an Emmy this year, she cracks me up as Jenna on 30 Rock.

Yes! Just yes to everything! Aubrey is such a cute girl and could have done so much better. Loved Jane earrings and the color of her dress but the back peplum was as distracting an poehlers hip embellishments. Love fey. Heidi always dresses terrible but she’s gorgeous. Now I get all the nude photos, girl can’t dress herself.

I think Heidi’s dress is AMAZING, especially when you see it in motion. The neck part is a little awkward–too clunky, maybe? But I think if you took the neck part away the dress would be pretty, but not as striking. The fabric(s) make me want to touch it. Well done.
