TH’s fanbase is intense – but small. I have to explain who TH is when I talk about him. He’s no RPatz when it comes to recognition. The first ‘relevant’ thing about TH in US WEEKLY for instance, is a review of The Deep Blue Sea. His fanbase wouldn’t keep me away from anything. Besides, I think they are all in the hospital with exploded ovaries (I hate that term).
I guess it’s just the fact of me having a tumblr and being unable to escape him is what’s getting under my skin. Normally, I think of him as pretty harmless but it’s just the over saturation and hype surrounding him on that site that makes me a little cranky seeing his face from time to time.
oh sweetheart just let out those negative emotions and get rid of all that pent up frustrations. Tom has a big heart and I am sure that all the negativity is just a trickle of water down his back if he is even aware of it. If the thought of watching Thor stirs up so emotional angst why not just give it a miss. And its easy to avoid those irritating fans if it gives you palpitations. Personally I recommend singing. It’s a great release mechanism just avoid anything by the Who or the Kingston trio as they tend to take you right back to Tom.

I’ve been debating my feelings for Tommy, and I think I’m going to come down on the side of being mostly pro. He’s one of those guys who doesn’t do much for me in still shots but who always wins me over when he starts talking.
And, yeah, he’s a huge try hard. Sometimes it’s annoying, and sometimes I find it kind of refreshing that he’s excited to have fans and happy to promote his work and eager to make a good impression. It’s at least a contrast to the slouchy too cool for school thing that’s popular with some other actors.
I guess I’m the only one who doesn’t get all hot for Hiddleston. Owen , either.

I seem to recall Miss Thing claiming a professional connection but mentioning she had not yet met him, but was hopeful.

So MissThing , what I’m getting is that you have some kind of professional relationship with him during which he came off as an absolute asshole but you’re obligated not to say anything because of a promise you made to “him”, as in TH? I don’t get it, if he was an asshole to you, why would you need to promise him anything? Is everyone working with him contractually obligated to hide the fact that he’s an asshole? Is it like a clause or something? And why can’t you say anything? I mean was he an asshole to a select few of the ppl working around him, including yourself and not just in general? No seriously, no reason to say you know something that vaguely, if you really do then run away.
SECONDED!!! if he was such a tool you DO NOT owe him anything by way of silence. If its your job security you are worried about then you shouldn’t have mentioned you had dirt on him at all because all that happens now is message boards like this, LSA and DL blow up with hateful speculation (someone on DL has already mentioned rape!) And I think its fair to say (and has been mentioned for a while) that TH or one of his team is aware of these boards and/or reads them so its gonna eventually get round to him.
Personally I’m calling troll, no answers after this long is the classic ‘I know something’ to stir up the fans and then you run and hide. Its happened on DL so many times.

I think people just like stirring up the pot. I don’t get the “promising him” part. He either threatened your reputation. Which I have never seen TH do or he must have promised something like money, date, or some other wish in order for you to be quiet. It just makes me a side eye this type of gossip because it always seems to happen when he does press tours and his fans are making all kinds of gushing declarations. TH is still not that powerful of an actor to have everyone bought off.

I have never heard anything bad about him and there is someone who works in the media/publishing on another site who said nothing ever comes up. I am someone who has had a few conversations with him and there are times when he can be very nice and times when he is a veritable asshole. I just get tired of people gushing on how wonderful of a person they think he is. He is a flawed human like the rest of us and he has a lot of emotional issues and baggage. I guess my point earlier was made out of frustration more than anything else.
He is a decent person… When he wants to be. All I was saying is that he is not necessarily to pushover, submissive wuss some people around here think he is and he sure as hell isn’t all sunshine and roses. When I see fans gushing over how gentlemanly and authentic he is, it just makes me cringe. Like any actor fantasize all you like, just be aware that the real deal is not someone you’d want for anything other a quick tumble in the hay. Lucky for most of you out there, if you have a pulse and are not ugly, you have a good shot at it.

Well maybe he was annoyed with Luke for not complying -you can read just about anything you want to from a frown. Trouble is without being there its all based on someone else’s perception.

Tom is sexy in his own goofy looking way. He seems to enjoy playing the bad guy. I hope he shies away from that. He keeps taking roles that he can bring his go to persona, Loki, into play. I want to see comedy! He seems to have a quirky sense of humor, dry and a bit naughty.
He is very funny in Surburban shoot out and Only Lovers Left Alive is suppose to be quite witty. He plays a depressed vampire musician modelled on Syd Barrat and Hamlet and the reviews say he has some great dead pan humour. I am just glad he is doing more theatre and Shakespeare at that.
