Justin Bieber ‘is not sorry’ at all, ‘what I represent is positivity & amazingness’

22Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber and his sketchy manager, Scooter Braun, cover this week’s issue of Hollywood Reporter, and it’s clear that this interview took place because the Bieber camp is in crisis mode. Falling ticket prices, a lack of sold-out concerts, and far too many scandals to count will do that to a pop star. The photoshoot is hilarious and features Scooter running after Justin like, “I’m gonna catch that little bugger!” Oh and Justin is pretending to pray. Ridiculous.

The delusions of grandeur are huge. These two think they’ll be on top of the world forever. Biebs and Scooter are trying to set some records straight, but it’s not working in this interview. They address the Anne Frank “Belieber” scandal but ignore poor Mally the monkey. Oh and Bieber is no longer “a swaggy adult.” Only a regular adult I guess:

Bieber says “swag” is so last year “I’m very influenced by black culture, but I don’t think of it as black or white. It’s not me trying to act or pose in a certain way. It’s a lifestyle — like a suaveness or a swag, per se. But I don’t really like to say the word [‘swag’] anymore. It’s kind of played out.”

Bieber on media reports: “I don’t give a f—.” Elaborates Bieber: “Not ‘I don’t give a f—‘ to just be reckless and do whatever, but ‘I don’t give a f— what they say.’ … I know who I am and what I’m doing in my life and what I’ve accomplished and continue to accomplish as a performer, as a writer, as an artist, as a person, as a human being. I’m happy with the man I’m becoming.”

Braun on his favorite (only?) client: “He’s the only person in humanity who’s grown up the way he has — with smartphones and cameras on him 24/7. Another kid can go out and have a good night on the town, and no one gives a crap, but Justin is the most Googled person on the planet — for four years straight!”

Braun on the Anne Frank debacle: “At the end [of the museum tour], he felt very connected to [Anne]. They had just showed him the pictures of movie stars in her room, and they said: ‘Maybe you would have been on that wall, Justin. She might have been a fan of yours.’ And he was touched by that.”

Braun on the media: “The rumors were coming so fast and furious that we couldn’t address all of them. Say whatever the f— you want. Justin’s not going to go crazy. He’s not going to end up in rehab. He’s not going to end up a statistic. Nine months ago, they said he lost his mind — he hasn’t missed a show since. So we’re just going to shut up.”

Bieber is the new MJ: “Michael Jackson didn’t do Off the Wall until he was about 23,” Bieber says of the King of Pop’s breakout 1979 solo album. “Bad, not until he was, like, 25 [Jackson was 29]. I have all the time in the world,” he declares of his future seminal third album. Braun completes the thought: “Justin’s Thriller is yet to come.”

Bieber on his message: “What I represent is positivity and brightness and lightness and amazingness. Nothing negative at all.”

[From Hollywood Reporter]

One strange and unexpected detail in this interview? Will Smith is Bieb’s current mentor. They have “a weekly call to go over any potential issues, emotional or otherwise. The article explicitly points out, “Scientology has never been discussed. LOL.

From this article, I gather that Bieber hasn’t learned anything from his mistakes and never will. Scooter is content to stick his head in the sand as long as the money is rolling in. I hope they’re both saving their millions, but you know they’re not.

“I’m very influenced by black culture. But I don’t see it as black or white.”

That’s because you’re exploiting it and profiting, you ignorant moron.

That’s all. His first quote was sufficiently offensive that I don’t find this evil little twat amusing anymore.

    • Nessa says:

You are absolutely right. Luckily for us, it’s this kind of ignorance that is leading to his demise. So, let this tool continue on this path…. That way we can be rid of him completely!!!

      • Kas says:

It’s like he’s conscious of the stupid shit Miley said and is trying to avoid that, but then basically says he’s influenced by black culture yet doesn’t recognize it so, it’s cool.

        Ok then.

      • gg says:

Exactly my thoughts. Keep talkin and fashioning that noose pallie – doing a great job.

    • whipmyhair says:

But he’s not racist, black culture influences him; so it’s ok! You’re lucky I’m here to explain these things to you!

And he doesn’t exploit black people, he gets advice from Will Smith all the time! And hopefully they whip it on a regular basis.

    • LadyMTL says:

For me it was not only that but the whole comparing him to Michael Jackson thing. “Justin’s Thriller is yet to come”…? Uh no, you idiot. Justin’s Thriller will never exist because he’s nowhere near as brilliant as MJ was and he never will be. Heck, for all of his flaws, MJ had more talent in his toes than Bieber has in his whole body.

      • ag-UK says:

+100 he was a bit out there but MJ was talented, Bieber is well.. a stupid kid with too many yes people around him allowing him to act like a fool/idiot. I never saw the appeal

      • Dommy Dearest says:

        +100

        Jackson all the way!

      • Sea Dragon says:

If only MJ hadn’t been a pedophile, he’d still have my heart.

It’s a damn shame this feral twerp is the gold standard in pop music. I’ll do a little cheer in my head when he drops out of public life.

      • deehunny says:

Justin’s Thriller. No such thing. It will always be MJ’s.

Has anyone checked out the documents on the Smoking Gun? Pretty damning stuff

      • Tiffany :) says:

Not only is Beiber not as talented as Michael…Michael had Quincy Jones!!!! Michael had cross-over appeal so he was played on all sorts of radio formats. Beiber is only pop. He won’t be played on R&B stations, adult contemporary, Rhythmic, etc. He doesn’t appeal across generations as Michael did.

He is so delusional it is frightening.

      • Thiajoka says:

No kidding! Whatever MJ did or didn’t do criminally, that man was talented–and was talented when he was a kid. The Jackson 5 wasn’t just some throw away boy band, they had some seriously good music, music that I still listen to.

    • Anna says:

      completely agree!!!!

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I agree. Beyond stupidity into offensive.

    • Frida_K says:

      So true.

It’s up there with Tom Cruise’s assertion that his job as an actor is just as grueling as that of a combat soldier in Afghanistan.

The ignorance and narcissism is stunning, and it is well and truly offensive.

      • cathy says:

I don’t like Cruise but he didn’t actually say that. someone asked him if he thought that it was and he said, ‘come on’ disgustedly. You never hear that part. As for beiber … amazingness? Yes, he is a contrite soul. Not.

    • booboochile says:

He could be influenced in that Usher has been his mentor, so he’s been immersed in it his entire career. Unlike Miley…who just decided to pick it up like a pair of shorts and it just doesn’t come naturally. Plus since his mentor is black I bet he’s been hanging out with black people since he was what, how old was he when he was discovered? I still think he’s a douche nugget.

    • May23 says:

He and Miley Cyrus are really a perfect match.

    • Kortnee says:

I don’t know why he feels the need to pay lip service to any particular ethnic group.

      • portlandjan says:

I can’t imagine any ethnic group WANTING him to ruin their reputation by giving them a shout-out. Who in their right mind is willing to absorb the blame for him?

    • andrea (: says:

Yeah he’s made some mistakesn in the past. Like smoke weed everyone does who gives a damn. I don’t understand why you guys love to pay so much attention to everthinging he does & does wrong if you don’t like him leave him alone.I don’t see you paying attention to some anather person come on know. HES HUMAN . WE ALL ARE , WE MAKE MISTAKES. Sometimes I don’t understand society.. you want everyone to be perfect. & maybe the reason he won’t learn from he’s mistakes .. IS BECAUSE THEY’RE ALWAYS RUBBED IN HES FACE . -Andrea Rodriguez ily justin♡ #fckhaters

      • cathy says:

he’s not ten. he’s a wimpy 20 something. if he considers others and acts properly he won’t have MISTAKES RUBBED IN HE’S (sic) FACE.

And using ‘haters’ etc shows a 12 year old’s maturity. Haters? Really?

        He’ll never marry you, honey.

    • CoolWhipLite says:

Yes! I find that quote so offensive. He and Miley need to knock it off and have a seat. They both make comments which basically state their desire to exploit black culture but, “hey, it’s okay y’all, it’s us!” It’s not okay.

  2. Ari says:

OMG WHY CANT THIS LITTLE DOUC7EBAG JUST GO THE F0CK AWAY ALREADY OMG i cant even take his baby crinkle brows any more – look at me love me im like a little puppy dont you want to like me? NO

  3. kayla says:

    Just stop making that face

  4. whipmyhair says:

I can’t take his manager seriously. Scooter? Really? How old is he?

At least Tiger Woods sounds cool. Scooter Braun on the other hand. ..

    • TG says:

Sort of reminds me of Scooter Libby. Those with nicknames like that tend to be bad guys.

    • BW says:

I was thinking of Scooter, Kermit the Frog’s nephew.

    • Dommy Dearest says:

I was thinking Doug Funny’s old best friend.

      Though that’s Skeeter.

      Skeeter Braun.

    • Deb says:

I think this Scooter fellow is less a manager and more a “yes” man who profits from Bieber. A manager would actually attempt to guide the kid in the right direction rather than defend his recklessness.

  5. swack says:

“He’s the only person in humanity who’s grown up the way he has — with smartphones and cameras on him 24/7.” says Braun. Are you kidding me???? They are totally delusional. He isn’t the only one. If he wouldn’t pull the schit he does he wouldn’t be in all the mags.

    • doofus says:

      yeah, that got me, too.

he is certainly NOT the “only one”.

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

Picked up on that too. There have been plenty of child stars before him and there will be plenty after him.

    • shellybean says:

Exactly what I was going to type. Has he ever heard of Lindsay Lohan? Miley Cyrus? Granted, Lindsay was slightly older than him when smartphones came about, but that girl has dealt with constant paparazzi and the internet since her teens.

  6. Ankita says:

Ugh.. i just cant with this douche.. !! The dumb little twat. and his dumbass handler. Ugh.

  7. Buckwild says:

Maybe there is some truth to those Miranda Kerr rumors – “I represent positivity”? Drinking the same koolaid

  8. Jessiebes says:

Honest question. Has his music matured at all? Or still mostly for teenage girls?

    • NerdMomma says:

Follow up question to that- do teenage girls still like him? When they move on, is anybody else going to be interested? I will bet his next album will be some attempt at hip-hop and it will laughably fail.

      • loveisthecoal says:

My cousin (who is now 11) was obsessed with Bieber for a year or so–she and all her friends are totally over him now. She says he’s “gross.” She’s now into One Direction. I am hopeful that this means his reign is coming to an end.

    • doofus says:

mentioned this on a thread yesterday. his music is not evolving or “growing up”, but his original fan base IS…they’ll split for better music (if they haven’t already), and unless his music evolves from the lovey-dovey crap he sang to preteens, he’s not going to have a fan base.

what parent wants a 20+ year old singing songs like that to their 12-13-14 year old daughter?…CREEPY.

  9. nmatz says:

I just can’t take a grown man named ‘Scooter’ seriously. Both of them are ridiculous.

  10. lucy2 says:

His downfall is already happening, and I don’t think he has the maturity, intelligence, or humility to deal with that and make any changes to have longevity. He’s just going to burn out and eventually go broke.

  11. Tara says:

It’s sad how a lot of people are so blinded by the fame of an individual that they turn a blind eye to the fact that they are extremely un-intelligent. Okay, he specifically calls it “black culture” and then says he doesn’t see it as “black culture” in the same breath. So why did you refer to it as black culture in the first place then, bozo? I just want him to go away and never come back.

  12. Summer says:

    Oh god :-S

  13. Tapioca says:

The Biebs represents “positivity”, Miley Cyrus is the poster child for “feminism” and Adam Levine is the pinnacle of male sexuality.

Bring on the zombie apocalypse, I don’t wanna go on anymore…

  14. NeNe says:

Would somebody please give him a pacifier already, and then maybe he would STFU!!!!!! 🙂

  15. GiGi says:

I always think if these managers were so smart, they’d slow down the gravy train for like, a second, and make these types of “artists” take a hiatus. Like, the Biebs needs to go away for a good 3, maybe 4 years. And then let him come back. Everyone loves a comeback. He’s going to be the next Britney – just propped up and trotted out so everyone can make their cut. Yuck.

  16. Easi says:

So exactly what we thought….no one is there to tell him anything other than his farts smell like cookies and he’s got an actual future. Nope.

  17. blue marie says:

I look at him and think “this will not end well” the boy is delusional.

  18. Happyhat says:

Awwwww Justin; you represent many things. Positivity and amazingness are not on that list.

    • littlemissnaughty says:

Is “amazingness” even a word? If so, it is really not the one that comes to mind, no. I’d love to slap that little turd silly. He needs an education.

      • Happyhat says:

I’m gonna allow ‘amazingness’ because it’s not like he invented it. It’s a fun word he’s sullying via association.
But good lord, yes. He needs some real world experience so he can comprehend how pointless he is.

  19. Tracy says:

I just can’t with this little idiot. Enough already.

  20. paola says:

What I’d shove into this kid’s mouth is a large slice of humble pie. And then I’d pull up his trousers. And wipe off his face that stupid brow. And i’d tell him to sit down until he grows up. Or at least until he stops behaving like a d***head.

  21. Hannah says:

His manager is only 32. I’m not sure that’s a good thing.

  22. BeckyR says:

    What an idiot.

  23. feebee says:

It doesn’t really matter what tripe this guy spews out now. He can’t be taken seriously anymore, not that he really gave himself a chance to. He started acting like a douche pretty quickly and that I blame on his pal there, Scooter. Here scooter, here scooter, aw good boy, scooter (seriously, Scooter’s a dog’s name right?) We just see JB talking now and it’s all blah, blah, blah, blah.

  24. babythestarsshinebrite says:

The Beibs is under the influence of Kanye West, obviously.

  25. Jayna says:

He’s losing his female tween fandom. He has no post high school girs/young adult fans to make up the difference. If you look at his crowds it’s very young girs.. The male hiphop crowd isn’t going to go to his concert no matter how hard he tries to transition. Females over 15 or 16 aren’t going to go to his concerts. So alienating the tween/young teens fans is going to torpedo his career.

And, you idiot, stop comparing yourself t MJ in any fashion, even when he put out his iconic albums. You auttuned, little twat.

  26. aqdgsbh says:

Thanks to DListed, he shall forever be known to me as Joffrey Bieber. The delusion is great in this one.

  27. genevieve says:

“What I represent is stupidity and self-righteousness and narcissism and arrogance. Nothing positive at all.”

    There. Fixed it for you.

  28. joanne says:

he lost me at sixteenth chapel. the kid has no education.

  29. Brown says:

If you guys haven’t watched him on Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifinakwhatever, you need to NOW. It so amazing. Zach calls him out on so much of his bullshit. So, so, so gloriously awkward.

    • SOS says:

Oh, please don’t tell me you though that was a ‘real’ interview? lol
      That ‘interview’ is hilarious!
Beiber manages to keep a straight face, most of the time and he’d obviously agreed that Zach could run with the ‘touchy’ subjects which was good.

      • Brown says:

No, I realize Between Two Ferns isn’t a serious interview and that the stars have to play along as part of the gig. But it was still nice to see someone saying everything all of us say about him daily, straight to his face. I especially liked “so you have had three hairstyles now, what’s next for your career?”

  30. Juan Topo says:

yes, you can say that he never missed a show if you count as a “show” what he did here in Argentina. He showed on stage for a couple of minuted and flew away because he had “food poisoning”. He had scandals every night before on clubs and he also moped the stage floor with our flag… He´s having legal troubles for that and for assaulting a paparazzi. Her equipment was sequestered because of that… why no ones writes about that and all the people are idiotized about the stupid thing of the stripper on Brazil ?

  31. Leila In Wunderland says:

He has nothing to apologize for when it comes to the sexual ‘scandals’. What he does need to apologize for is his douchetastic attitude and the way he treats people.

I don’t think he has what it takes to be one of those pop stars who has lasted a decade or more in the entertainment industry. In another 3 or 4 years, he’ll probably go the way of Jojo (that singer).

  32. dorothy says:

Oh look, we have a little Kanye West and all the craziness that goes with it. Move along little fella, we’re done with you.

  33. Garrett says:

Oh my God!!!! Ok his time is up!

  34. Greata says:

Why does this idiot always have that constipated expression on his face? Genius at work?

  35. Kate says:

I went through my own unfortunate boy band phase as a tweener, so I can say from experience that his young female fans are going ot be VERY embarrassed (utterly mortified) in a few years when they look back at photos of this moron and realize they were his fans. And Greata, I’ve often wondered the same thing! Will Smith’s son, What’s His Name, does the same thing with his face. They look like they’re straining on the toilet.

    • Meredith says:

Thanks, Kate for that last comment. I always knew there was something familiar about the weird look on little Smith’s face but now I know where I’ve seen it before 🙂

  36. Louise says:

Okay, well that makes a bit more sense. If Will Smith is advising him, does that mean that Will Smith is telling both him & Jaden(sp?) to make that ridiculously annoying face?

  37. grayze says:

God I HATE this Bieber-personified trend of “I’m all happiness and light and amazing, and when BAD things happen, it’s because of negativity! That exists outside and away from me!”

That is the battle cry of entitled douchebaggery. If you honestly believe that any and all negativity in your life comes from something outside yourself and you, yourself, are blameless in all things at all times, then you will always perceive yourself as the victim and everyone else as the attacker – even when you have more money than God and the whole world warned you this was coming.

I’d wish for something to teach him humility, but I imagine he’s incapable of learning it. When the inevitable hard fall comes, it will be, “But it’s because my life was so haaaaaaard, no one else had to deal with thiiiiiiis.”

    Douchebaby. Ugh.

  38. Tiffany says:

Did that muppet of a manager say that Justin is the next MJ. What the………I am speechless.* Goes to listen to Thriller in its entirety*

  39. Kortnee says:

    He is a certified narcissist.

  40. Dommy Dearest says:

Who let you out of time out Cyrus? Back, back I say!

  41. anon33 says:

I hate to say this due to my enduring love for MPG, but the way Bieber is maturing is reminding me of Mark Paul Gosselaar…how he was super skinny with chicken legs and a caved in chest during the early years of SBTB, then obviously took roids or something to bulk up, which took the cute out of his face (College years era.) Hmm…

  42. Eve says:

I didn’t read all the comments so I apologize if anyone has already said this:

F*ck you, you little dipshit. You can go f*ck yourself!

  43. mzizkrizten says:

His haircut looks butchered in that side shot.

  44. shellybean says:

You can’t “try” to make a “Thriller”. That was a special album, and one that blows up like that only comes along very rarely. I’m pretty sure MJ didn’t try to make a “Thriller”, it happened organically and was the right sound at the right time. Bieber is such a delusional idiot.

  45. Janet says:

He might make a good speed bump but I can’t see what other purpose he serves.

  46. Meredith says:

“I hope they’re both saving their millions, but you know they’re not”.

Personally I think Scooter is putting his money away. Unlike Beiber, I think Scooter is smart enough to know this is his once-in-a-lifetime hustle and it won’t last with Beiber or repeat itself later with another performer.

    • Sea Dragon says:

      +1

    • CatJ says:

Just found out that Scooter is also Amber Riley’s (from Glee) manager.
WTF? are you doing being associated with this douche-manager….????
Amber, you can do so much better, don’t be associated with this mess….

  47. Tiffany :) says:

He says he lets the music speak for itself…but for the life of me I can’t remember any songs of his from the past 2 years. I listen to pop radio in the car occassionally, and I don’t think I have heard anything.

  48. aquarius64 says:

Bieber’s not sorry? I bet his accountants are…drop in ticket prices due to his ratchet behavior affect the bottom line (and their paychecks).

  49. Thiajoka says:

I’m expecting to seeing the Biebs and Breezy together on some future version of Celebrity Rehab, 2021 or whatever future year. Dr. Drew will be a little balder and paunchier, but will be just as faux-worried about his two pet “patients” having wicked withdrawal heaves.
