Jessica Biel wears black Giambattista Valli, uses all-black holiday decorations

Here are some photos of Jessica Biel at last night’s premiere of The Truth About Emanuel, her new film. Did you even know that Biel was the star of this film? Have you ever heard of this film? Let me watch the trailer… ah, I get it. Biel’s not really the star, but she’s the “object of obsession” for a young woman. It’s sort of like Single White Female meets Hand That Rocks the Cradle. Seriously, I bet that’s how they sold the movie. I’ll include the trailer below. For the premiere, Biel wore this Giambattista Valli Resort 2014 collection ensemble. Is it wrong that I don’t hate this? It shouldn’t work, but it sort of does and I appreciate that she’s wearing a jacket too. Plus, her hair is looking so much better now that she’s grown out (or phased out) her bangs. Here’s the trailer:

Meanwhile, did you see this on LaineyGossip yesterday? Jessica “designed” a dream room for Domaine for the holidays. Personally, I love all of the furniture and the accessories, but Lainey is right – the “all-black” Christmas decorations are too goth, too funereal, trying too hard to be chic. You know what would make a big difference? Just doing the tree in silver instead of black – it would change the whole look of the room and it would achieve the sort of “chic” look she was going for without overdoing the black. You can see the Domaine slideshow here and here are some images:

I did a pewter/white/sort of silvery plum theme one year, thanks to ol’ Martha. Biel probably bought hers in a set as well.

  2. Jayna says:

    She looks beautiful.

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

She really does—stunning, in my opinion. Now if she could only learn how to act…..

    • Bridgett says:

To each their own, she’s one of those women who I would only categorize as attractive, not the beauty that she describes as being burdensome. Nice body, bland face.

  3. Happyhat says:

When I have difficulty falling asleep, I think of Jessica Biel and I quickly drop into a coma of boredom.

  4. Aussie girl says:

For some un know reason, I really want to push the top of that coffee table off. I think it’s the book thing.

  5. RN says:

Jessica is my Hollywood body ideal. I love her fit and athletic frame.

  6. blue marie says:

Ok so this is random, but are those real books they’re using for table legs? I dunno if I like that.. I do like the wrapping though.

  7. Celia says:

Please tell me the crop top trend is disappearing soon! It rarely looks good on even the most beautiful of people so I don’t get why designers keep insisting on making them.

  8. Madriani's Girl says:

I really like most of her Domaine ideas except for the Oriental rug on the wall. That is beyond tacky. The rug itself is nice but rugs on walls are just not done.

  9. Jegede says:

Best I’ve seen her look in ages.
    Thank fack the bangs died

  10. V says:

It’s a surfing safari. First timers can use the books to steady them on the floor, advanced users remove the table top and surf the wall. That’s why there are two rugs…so everyone knows exactly where to practice their skills.

That tree looks like it has a side gig in a Steven Moffat Christmas special.

  11. Zigggy says:

Everybody has their own taste, but I like classic Christmas stuff- I love an eclectic tree with decorations that have been collected over the years and evoke memories, rather than a matchy matchy “chic” tree. 🙂

    • Lady D says:

Me too Ziggy. Can’t fathom black Christmas decorations. The colours, lights and treasured ornaments are among the best parts of the season.

    • Nina W says:

I’m eclectic too and I can’t get behind black decorations at all. Mono-chrome can look good but black is a poor choice. Very dull too.

  12. umyeah says:

She is so dull, can’t act, has a horrible taste in fashion, and the only thing going for her is her nice body.

  13. Lindsey says:

Is that the house from Charmed or like on down the street or something? I swear I’ve seen it on Charmed.

  14. Grant says:

Dare I say that I kind of like the tree?

    • HH says:

I shall dare with you, Grant. I actually kind of like it as well. Not my personal taste, but it’s alright.

  15. P.J. says:

Why are so many actresses so into doing this VERY awkward hand on the hip pose in every picture? It’s so unnatural! (Just as bad, if not worse? The “blowing kisses to the camera” thing. Seriously, what’s up with that one? Ahhhhh! Ladies, please stop!)

  16. tila says:

I really don’t think she’s that bad an actress. She’s no swinton of course but she’s certainly better than her husband.

  17. Cristina says:

The tree looks funeral-y. Definitely not Christmasy.
I do like the gift wrapping though. The red heart seal is a nice touch.

As for Jessica’s style here, I like it. She looks beautiful.

  18. themummy says:

Good god. Her face. It looks uncomfortable. Her nose and lips are so obviously fake…it’s like she didn’t even bother trying to look natural. I remember years ago when I first saw her I thought she was gorgeous. Now? Now I think she’s actually plain and ugly.

I do like that tree, though.

  19. Camille (TheOriginal) says:

The black tree decorations don’t bother me, but the busy look of the room does. I think if that rug was taken down off the wall I would like it more.

I’m obsessed with Scandi style at the moment and have been making my house over in that look (white, black, grey and a pop of colour here and there..), and my Christmas deco this year is black, white and wood. I love it, it’s very clean and simple.

  20. Jedi says:

I am obsessed with that leather arm chair. obsessed i tell you! MCM is totally my groove.

  21. nope says:

Why don’t you cover kaya scodelario? she’s an amazing young actress, i’d like to ear more of her.
    Way more interesting than biel!

  22. Barbiegirl says:

I think she is beautiful and people should give her more credit… I hope she gets cast in some great role and makes a comeback … I mean a serious one!!
