Sorry, Keira Knightley, you were not the prettiest person at the Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit premiere in LA last night. Chris Pine was the prettiest. I think he’s even wearing some subtle makeup! Which isn’t to say that Keira doesn’t look pretty. She does! Keira wore this cutesy blue and white Chanel dress for the premiere which… I don’t know, you guys. She’s a Chanel girl (she’s one of the faces of Chanel fragrances) but I kind of think this dress is wrong for the premiere. Plus, the tiny little bows are killing my soul a little bit. In a miniture version, this dress would be adorable on, say, Seraphina Affleck. Not on a grown-ass woman of 28.
So, let’s talk about Pine. He sort of shaved since his ROWR appearance at the Golden Globes – he had a full-on salt-and-pepper beard at the Globes, and now he’s working some romance-novel scruff. I’m trying to remind myself that Pine wears the Eau D’Ouchebag cologne, but I’m finding it difficult to remember that. Lord, he looks hot. I would bang that senseless. I’m also including photos of Kevin Costner and his wife (Kevin plays the James Earl Jones-type mentor in the film, for people familiar with the Jack Ryan franchise) and director/costar Kenneth Branagh.

She dresses like Alexa Chung. I don’t really get it. It’s the “I’m a frail little girl” look. I think they always look nice, but I just don’t see what kind of guy finds that attractive. Obviously some do. Or maybe they just dress for themselves, which they should. I just think it’s slightly weird, but not awful.

Eau d’Douche or not….he is hot. Kiera is always “cutesy.” It is her thing. I think it is young for her, but she looks fine.
I love the dress. It’s not for everyone, but Kiera pulls it off.

I like the dress for a bridesmaids’ luncheon or some daytime event. I’m not sure it’s appropriate for a premiere, though.

The dress is amazing on her. Never found Chris Pine attractive until now. He looks hot! Like incredibly incredibly hot. It’s the suit and the way he’s wearing the hell out of it. The suit looks like Tom Ford, so sexy.
I’ve mentioned this before and don’t want to sound like a broken record, but the man’s head is just HUGE. It’s just HUGE. Am I the only one who thinks this?
Lots of actors are said to have proprtionally larger heads to bodies than average. It is said to look better on a screen.
With that said he looks like he’d be a really fun toss with no complications.

@Decloo, From the eyebrows down, he is gorgeous. But he does have a distracting, seven-finger forehead. I need a picture of him next to Tyra Banks to compare.
He also has great clean-cut American charisma à la Harrison Ford, which is rare in today’s young male leads, who are mostly bland beefcake (with disappointing box office to match). I’m actually gonna pay to see this Jack Ryan thing at the movie theater.
He does need a new “getting punched” expression, though.

FLORC – very true. It kills any jones i have for most actors. Askers is the only one i can think of in recent times who has a tiny head in proportion to his body. And that’s before you factor in their actual height. midgets! the lot of them.
I believe Chris is about to film Z for Zachariah with Chiwetel Ejiofor. Which is post-apocalyptic…which means lack of razors…which means facial scruff! Woo-hoo! 😉
If the dress was shorter I think it would make a world of difference, as is its not terrible but it isn’t doing her any favors either.

That dress looks like it came out of a Chadwicks catalog, circa 1993. Note really hating on it though. I used to love me some Chadwicks long dresses.
I see Anna from Downton in that dress…….maybe if it was in a maroon it would work, and less bows.

And as much as Chris Pine works… with really big budget films. He really has not happen yet. He is a nice looking man. But he is still waiting for that “big” hit, to make his a house hold name.
There was only one time I ever found Keira to be attractive at ALL….and I think it was when she wore some super light, whispy gown and had perfect, light make up. Her eyes look reedic with all that dark shadow…kinda kills the innocent look of that classic sailor dress. Her shoes are pretty fug too..lol..

I like this dress. I’d take this look any day over these celebrities who love to show their ass and snatch in see through “dresses”. I think Keira looks classy and intelligent here. Nothing wrong with that! I’d totally wear this dress to work or to a social event.
Chris Pine really is doing it for me lately. Man can wear a suit. I definitely like him with scruff, though, I’m not sold on the no-scruff thing for him.
