There’s not too much to say here except for TILDA SWINTON. And Ralph Fiennes, Bill Murray and Ed Norton too. But most Tilda. That magnificent alien is gracing the Berlin Film Festival right now to promote the new Wes Anderson film, The Grand Budapest Hotel. We discussed the first trailer several months ago, and like many of you, I loved it and I can’t wait to see it. Ralph Fiennes doing a bizarre comedic role, playing a hotel manager who seduces 90-year-old women? Tilda Swinton in heavy prosthetics and makeup to make her look ancient? COME ON. We need to see this movie.

Anyway, these are some collected shots from the photocall and premiere. For the photocall, Tilda wore a simple black skirt, black t-neck and a fabulous herringbone coat (there’s a lot of herringbone going around these days, have you noticed?). For the premiere… well, look at that outfit. LOOK AT THE SHOES. Look at the cut of that suit and look at the weirdness of the ruffled shirt. God. She’s our Alien-Queen.

PS… Ralph Fiennes’ Canadian tuxedo makes me happy.
