You may have noticed that Bradley Cooper did something different at this year’s Oscars by not bringing his mom as his date. The 39-year-old double nominee (I still can’t get over that) attended with his 22-year-old model girlfriend Suki Waterhouse. I thought Bradley would play it cool and meet up with Suki at the afterparties, so this was a surprising development.
The two unlikely lovebirds sat together in the front row. She wore a fugly Marchesa dress, a label that always makes me give the side eye to the wearer. Not only because Marchesa is usually the worst, but because Harvey Weinstein usually pesters actresses into wearing his wife’s label. Sure enough, Harvey is the one who introduced Bradley to Suki after she supposedly begged Harvey to do so. Suki is an actress too, you know. She has a romantic comedy coming out soon. For real.
I wanted to cover this new story about BCoop and Suki because it puts a different spin on the usual “I want babies” storyline. Usually we hear about a girlfriend being desperate to marry and have a man’s babies. It’s so sexist and silly, but that’s how the gossip rolls. This week’s issue of Star says BCoop is the one who is jonesing to procreate. Of course he wants to do it with Suki:

Friends say the actor plans to propose to British model Suki Waterhouse, 22, this summer. “Suki is aware that Bradley wants to marry her, but he’s keeping all the details of the proposal top secret,” says the pal. “Suki is the first woman to come along whom Bradley can really picture a future with.” The friend adds that Bradley is on a tight time frame: “He plans to start trying for a baby before they even marry! His goal is be a father by the time his 40th birthday rolls around, next January.”

I’m highly amused by the thought of Bradley and Suki giving birth to triplets and dressing them all in Marchesa. (Don’t these actresses realize we all know they’re only doing Marchesa only to please Harvey?) Anyway, I doubt this story is true, but it is amusing that the guy is the one pushing against his biological clock in a tabloid story. It’s about time.

Goody for them (being sarcastic). It’s their lives and I did read she said she wanted to be a young mum as she has other friends (Geldof girls) who have 2 kids at 24. The film world is full of mediocre actresses as if we need more, she might be amazing but I won’t hold my breath.

Don’t worry, you’re not the only one! For a Marchesa dress, I quite like it. I just wish it wasn’t that nude colour as it all looks so “same” on her. Her hair, skin, dress and shoes are all the same d@mn colour!

I still think that it’s creepy that he made such a fuss about him and Jennifer supposedly dating (I could literally be her father), but then goes and dates someone YOUNGER than Jennifer. I would’ve preferred to see him with Jennifer–at least she has talent.

Jennifer and him would have made a better looking couple IMO. As mean as it sounds. Well. To be honest I don’t care. Suki is very plain and underwhelming as someone else put it.
Come on guys, Jen is a little bit childish (that´s part of her “sparkle”) but that´s not what an older actor wants from a younger girlfriend. Young and pretty yes, but no doofy girl. They prefer young models with manners. Pretty, elegant, silent, behaving consorts/ trophies.
So, you don’t think that Suki is childish?
I think he’s really smitten with her, and they seem playful together—however, she’s too young to settle down and have children now. Even if she isn’t the typical looking model, she is probably highly paid for her work, so they must like her facial features and other attributes. He’s had several girlfriends already (I liked Renee Zellweger), and this one looks like a very young Renee to me, but much taller. As one of Suki’s former boyfriends said, she is still very young in her ways. I’m not sure how long ‘very young’ meshes with his maturity on a realistic level, but they seem to be having fun while in the dating stage.
I wonder how the wording of that quid pro quo works: “Hey love, wear my wife’s shitty clothes to this party and I got a part for you”
I would wear Marchesa all day every day as an alternative to getting Gretchen Mol’ed.
Enough with the celebrity baby stories, it’s like there’s nothing else to people than procreation, my god…

If it makes you feel any better, I think most of these stories are pure bs. Just made up for headlines.
I hope it is all media spin. Then again, what does that tell you about the ideals that are being promoted to people in general? So sick of it. Be pretty and procreate, nothing else is important or worth your while…
What’s wrong with wanting to be a parent? I’m not one of those (JUST had my first) but I know a lot of men and women who are. To some people that IS life (I don’t get it either) but you can’t fault them.
I don’t think she means there’s anything wrong with wanting to be a parent. Congratulations, btw! But I think she has a point that this is a very popular story line all of a sudden. So and so desperate to have babies and cruel partner refuses. I’ve noticed how commonplace these stories have become as well. How on earth would the tabs know how all these people feel about something so personal? I think they just make it up.
Congrats Dani, I don’t mean to slate ordinary responsible adults who decide to have kids. I mean that over the past few years it’s become all about who’s pregnant and who’s trying to get pregnant and who’s losing the baby weight and who’s a poor babyless momma or daddy. I’m suffocating under the message that women especially, but all of a sudden men are getting dragged into this as well, are only supposed to think about children and let their lives revolve around this issue.
I suppose since the PC brigade have banned talking about anything in general, there’s nothing else left to openly discuss. Then again, I feel it’s sending a wrong message that kids are an accessory or lifestyle or whatever, and that your life begins and ends with them, nevermind education, career, friends, politics, environment, etc. As long as you’re a parent, ignore all else.

Yeah-I don’t really understand why the media has pushed parenthood (or rather pregnancies-it seems like once people have their babies the media interest really dies off for some reason) so much over the past few years. It’s like if you decide not to have kids or for whatever reason are unable to have kids that your life is not worth living.

I thought all along he was doing a Clooney with her – find someone who could be arm candy during the award season. It is hard to see this as a real relationship. I think he is creepy and I would not at all be surprised when they break up because the ‘contract’ is over. I think he wanted to play it cool by not aggressively campaigning for the Oscar, but I think he had an intense desire for it.
I always wondered what the story was with his marriage to Jennifer Espositio. That lasted about 5 minutes. There has to be a backstory to that.
One rumor was she caught him in bed with a man & another one was he beat her up. I’m thinking it’s a combination of the rumors because he does seem a bit off.
Hollywood has the least successful marriage rate on earth, yet the tabs would have us believe all these people have really traditional ideas about marriage and family. FFS if all he wants is to be a daddy, it really wouldn’t take much to talk some random into carrying the seed of a rich good looking dude. Don’t complicate things by marrying someone just to get access to her healthy uterus. The CA courts are overbooked as it is. Spare us an avoidable divorce.
I think Bradley did bring his mom! Maybe just to the Vanity Fair party, I saw her in picture. Also, it’s his sister right beside them with the red hair.
I find this all so freaking weird, I thought this was a PR relationship, still do. Am I the only one who’s been getting a closeted vibe from him for years? There are certainly rumours.

CDaN was parroting gay rumours about him for a while, along with ones claiming he abused Jennifer Esposito. Now the site has moved on to claiming he’s a womanizer. I take all the tales with a massive grain of salt.
I don’t believe this story… I think he’s just dating her to date her at this point in time, and he’s not that serious about her.
Bradley seems like a smart guy who would settle down with someone a little more intellectual (and a little older) than her. I don’t think I’m wrong about that, but then again, you never know.

Hmmmm, this could only mean one thing. Suki is some kind of emotional phase for him, she’s on her way out and the very next lady he is with, will be the one. I mean we have seen her at the awards shows with him and saw a few PDA photos of them, he’s ready, but she aint the one, he’s there though…

She’s the worst model ever, unless you’re doing a 70s flash back shoot. She has one good look. I’mn not saying she’ can’t look good; just that she’s not really diverse.
This relationship has seemed a little off from the very beginning, especially considering how public he was with her from the start. I always thought he was more discreet in his relationships. The internet rumor has been that there is a contract and that Harvey Weinstein wants Bradley to date Suki in order for her to become more well-known in the industry. Who knows if that is true. And, now she has a small part in the Cameron Crowe movie he just did. I always thought that with PR relationships the “couple” only showed up together at events, but they have been spotted at places where there is no press. It’s anyone’s guess what is really going on between these two.
