Here are some photos of Jessica Simpson at the 100th Annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner on Saturday. Jessica wore Carolina Herrera and she continued to show off her noticeable weight loss. She really has done well after the second pregnancy, hasn’t she? I’m no longer making jokes about the Weight Watchers contract being a price on her head. She looks like she’s gotten down to a size that she’s hasn’t been in a good six years or more.

As for the dress… I like it. It looks tight at the bust, but she’s not spilling out of it, which is good. Apparently, Jessica was complaining about people walking on her train. But the real story was that Jessica’s ex-boyfriend Tony Romo also came to the dinner:

Jessica Simpson may not have figured in the ex-factor when planning her weekend trip to our nation’s capitol for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. The singer, 33, attended the star-studded event in Washington, D.C., which brought out Hollywood’s finest, political heavyweights, and even famous athletes, including her ex-boyfriend Tony Romo.

The Cowboys’ quarterback, 34, was a part of the soirée on Saturday, May 3, with his wife of nearly three years, Candice Crawford, whom he married on May 28, 2011. They welcomed their first child, Hawkins, 2, in April 2012, and their second child, Rivers, in March. He and Simpson did not stage a reunion at the event, sources tell Us Weekly.

The former lovers, who started dating in 2007 and split for good in July 2009, did not interact during the evening, an insider tells Us. While they did not actively avoid one another, they were both able to mingle in the crowd of 2,600 without running into each other.

“[Romo] and his wife were seated on the right side of the ballroom and Jessica was in the middle of the ballroom during the actual dinner,” the source adds, making it easy for them to go without speaking. A source close to the football player also added to Us that “no run-ins with Jessica happened.”

After the sit-down dinner, which also played host to a bevy of big-name stars including Sofia Vergara, Lupita Nyong’o, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Simpson attended the Vanity Fair after-party with her fiancé Eric Johnson.

Simpson stunned at the dinner in a black-and-white Carolina Herrera gown with Neil Lane jewelry. For the party, she changed into a slinky strapless black dress with a major slit up the leg. Simpson became engaged to the retired NFL player, 34, in November 2010. She and Johnson are the parents to two children, Maxwell, 2, and Ace, 11 months, and are planning to wed in Los Angeles later this year.

That was mature. No, I’m not being facetious. I’m proud of Jessica for not drunkenly stumbling over to say something ill-advised to Romo. Jessica has famously bad-mouthed her exes in the past, but I’m really starting to get the feeling that Jessica HAS matured. She’s a mother of two, she’s with a guy she adores, she’s rich. Just let Romo be Romo. Personally, I think she “won” that round anyway.

PS… She needs to stop doing the raised shoulder pose to make her arms look thinner. It looks awkward as hell.
