Sean Penn & Charlize Theron drink, smoke, fight, bite… then ‘rigorously make out’

FFN_Met_Gala_Afterparty_GG_050514_51403139

At the end of the day, I think Sean Penn and Charlize Theron were honestly one of my favorite couples at the Met Gala. It was just such a surprise to see Sean on the red carpet with Charlize, on her fashiony turf, with him coming to play the game, following the dress code and even being cool with how Charlize towered over him. Yes, he still looks like a ham hock. But he’s more interesting now that he’s with Charlize. I think she actually is changing him for the better. Anyway, I’m including more coupled-up photos of Charlize and Sean – they changed clothes to go to the Met Gala after-parties, and then they were seen walking around NYC yesterday, hand-in-hand. Here’s more about Charlize and Sean’s behavior at the Met Gala afterparty:

It’s official, Charlize Theron and Sean Penn really like each other. The couple looked sophisticated and sweet as they held hands at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala in New York City Monday, May 5, but they got extra close at an after party following the glamorous gala.

Theron, 38, who stunned in a strapless Dior Haute Couture white crepe gown, was dancing sexily to Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s “Got Your Money” with beau, Penn, 53, at an exclusive star-studded after party at the Boom Boom Room at the Standard Hotel, an eyewitness tells Us Weekly.

The couple enjoyed each other’s company on the roof top portion of the nightclub, where they smoked cigarettes and sipped on their drinks. At one point, the source adds, “they play fought with each other” and Theron started “biting on his neck” before they started “rigorously making out.”

[From Us Weekly]

Drinking… smoking… play fighting… neck-biting… making out. Is this high school?! Sean Penn is 53, Charlize is 38. But their love burns with intensity, like young lovers. Maybe that’s the way it should be. Because quite honestly, this seems like the happiest Sean has been in years, and same with Charlize. God, I can’t believe that I’m actually sort of rooting for them as a couple now.

PS… But seriously, why is Sean’s face always so red and ham-like now?!

    Just eww.

  2. Jen says:

No one should be rooting for that man to ever be happy. He is scum.

  3. yolie says:

His face is so red because he’s slowly turning into Satan!

    • Dani2 says:

LOL that is exactly what’s happening, he just always looks so mad to me, like, who hurt you Sean?

    • Sea Dragon says:

      Hahahaaa

    • Rhiley says:

I honestly think it is alcoholism. In person he is probably so red he is blue.

      • Doctor says:

He could have haemochromatosis. A very common genetic mutation in caucasian men which causes them to store too much iron in their liver. Usually manifests in later life (Sean’s current age bracket) and can lead to serious liver toxicity. The treatment involves regular phlebotomy and usually this is enough to manage the condition.

  4. CharlotteS says:

Seriously? Did everyone just forget about the assault? It’s messed up how everyone hates Chris Brown (with good reason) but gives Sean Penn a pass. They are on the same level – utter sh*t

    • eliza says:

I agree. There is no difference between him and Brown. People forgive this dirt bag because “He is an AHHHHHMAYZING actor ” much in the same way many forgive the Polanski’s and Allen’s of their misdeeds.

Penn has always been an abusive, hot headed mess. He is notorious for also treating sales and service people like trash. People ignore those stories too. “He’s saving Haiti” and that again excuses his actions, never mind he has raised a son to be a bigoted, hot headed racist.

      • FingerBinger says:

No one is giving Sean Penn a pass. It seems like every time there is a story about him posted on here someone brings it up. Also, it was 25 years ago, so maybe in 25 years people will Chris Brown a pass too. As far as his son goes. As far as I know he didn’t raise his son by himself. Robin Wright should get a little credit for the kid being “a bigoted, hot headed racist” too.

      • mercy says:

Except boys tend to idolise their fathers, and Robin doesn’t have the same history as Sean. She may be something of a hard ass herself. I think you’d have to be tough to survive a long term relationship with someone like him and come out of it with your wits and sense of self intact. But there is no public record of her abusing anyone so she must have more control over her temper than he does. And Madonna may have been 25 years ago, but it hasn’t been that long since his last (public) rage incident.

        seethroughyou says:
I agree with you @FingerBinger. I think Robin is even more responsible. She has always seemed “off” to me. I’ve seen too much in Sean’s past to indicate that he is not a bigot. I also remember he used to cheat on Robin and Madonna with black women a lot too (damn, I wish Hard Copy was still on TV-because one of his mistresses was interviewed on there). I understand this does not preclude racism, but I’ve never, ever heard he was a bigot. With Sean’s rage, he would’ve slipped up and shown his bigotry, if it existed. Sean was the one who was always working while Robin put her career on the back burner a bit to raise her children. I know much more about Sean than I do Robin. All I know: her son is a bigoted rage-aholic douche, she is from Texas, she was cheated on repeatedly by Sean with all kinds of women, including black ones (Naomi, Eve, and nameless others) and she was mostly at home with those children. This makes Robin guilty in my eyes. If anything, I’m tired of her getting a pass, as if she could NEVER be a racist. PUH-LEASE. Sean’s a douche, but not a racist.

    • Kenny Boy says:

Couldn’t agree more. I don’t think folks should focus on it to the exclusion of everything else (which always happens with CB) but I feel like it’s something that should never go un-mentioned. Especially given the “play-fighting” detail. That’s disturbing given his history of abuse.

    • CK says:

They’re not even on the same level. The stories of what Sean Penn did to Madonna makes Chris Brown look like a puppy in comparison. He’s psychotic. I hope Charlize gets the hell out of there when he suggests “play bondage” because that didn’t work out so well for the last lover he tied up.

  5. Bess says:

Sean was ugly and abusive as a young man and I can’t imagine he’ll change as he ages. He is truly ugly inside and out.

  6. Merritt says:

Well this sounds like a healthy relationship…

Seriously, I hope Charlize ends this. This is the cycle of abuse, Her father was an abusive man and now it seems to be continuing on.

  7. Tiffany says:

I thought that the red face was the result of constant drinking and the hangover. Penn is know for being a boozer, right?

    • don't kill me i'm french says:

Too many sun witout protection also

    • mercy says:

Too much drinking, smoking, and sun over the years is my guess. Damages the blood vessels and leaves skin looking permanently discolored. He may use self tanner to try to even it out.

  8. Inlike says:

In a recent poll between me and my girlfriends, big ears usually mean a big……um………you know.

    Just saying.

    • Dani2 says:

Does it count when it’s attached to someone like Sean though?

      • blue marie says:

he’s got to have something going for him, so probably. and ewww

      • Dani2 says:

@blue marie I dunno girl. Violent, ugly as sin, the permascowl, maybe these ladies just have incredibly low standards and bad taste.

      • Inlike says:

I’m going to completely gross you out, but I’d hit it.

        Don’t hurt me ………

      • Inlike says:

        Dani,

I know, I am truly pathetic.

      • Hiddles forever says:

        @inlike

To be honest, if I was incredibly beautiful as Charlize, I wouldn’t touch that with a pole. Mind you, it could be ok if he was beautiful inside. But an ex batterer and abuser? He must have the most skilled dong of the planet…

      • Dani2 says:

@inlike Aww you’re not pathetic, it’s just one of those things I guess lol 🙂

      • Maggie says:

        Perhaps she double bags?

      • Seriously–you all need to watch ‘Up at the Villa’–I wouldn’t touch Sean with a ten foot pole, but God. He is as charming as the devil when he’s on his game. And I’m guessing he can be sensitive, charming, and caring–he does care very deeply about the people of Haiti, etc–I think he’s a man of great extremes. But I can see why women throw themselves at him, despite him not being good looking, and having a violent past.

And I’ve heard that his d-ck is huge and he knows how to use it, so there’s that. They’re dickmatized.

    • Inlike says:

      @Dani & Hiddles Forever

Trust me I horrify myself. It would only be once. And I would leave minutes after without the goodbye kiss.

      I promise.

  9. Spikey says:

This woman has truly beautiful legs!

  10. Calcifer says:

I said it already yesterday, but I’ll say it again: the myth of the ‘right woman turning a man into a better man’ seems a dangerous one to me. I am not saying that a man cannot change, but only if he really wants to himself, and if it comes from within. If he changes for a woman (for instance stops doing drugs or drinking), she will have to make the change ‘worth his while’ and that is a heavy burden. Inevitably she will fail his expectations and he will turn back to his old behavior.

    • Badirene says:

^^^ This needs to be printed on a t-shirt , so much sense.

    • mercy says:

Agreed. I do think it helps that they were friends first, and she seems to have the upper hand in the relationship. But what happens if the romance fades, or they have to face serious obstacles in their relationship? Will the old arrogant, insecure, raging Sean come back with a vengeance? Or has he finally gotten too old for that?

    • Eleonor says:

      Standing ovation.
      Love your nickname!

    • Lee says:

Wise, wise words, Calcifer. It’s a dangerous thing. Disappointment is inevitable – whether from a man deciding a woman is not doing enough to “deserve” his efforts to be a changed man, or from her exhaustion at trying – and always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Hopefully, at some point she decides she deserves someone who is a good person at their core – not a faker.

    • Dimebox says:

This times a thousand. I was abused in a long ago first marriage. I knew of problems in his past, but I was determined to be the one who would love him enough to heal him. He almost killed me. I thank God that I got out with my only permanent injury being sort of like PTSD. I try hard to avoid triggers like certain movies, but I have a heightened startle reflex and sometimes get seriously frightened and almost in a panic attack over men making sudden movements. I thank God I found my husband who would never hurt a woman and would go to the aid of anyone he witnessed being abused.

So I repeat to anyone reading this who finds it sounds familiar, you do not deserve to get hurt! Not ever! You do not deserve to live your life fearing for your and your children’s safety! Not ever! Abusive men will lash out for any reason or no reason at all beyond the fact that they enjoy terrifying you. Get out! Get help! Call a shelter, call the police, do whatever you need to do to survive! People care, people will help you, please ask for help! It can take a lot of courage to get out, but dig deep and save yourself and your children. You are worthy and deserve a life of safety and peace.

      Apologies for the diatribe.

  11. Hissyfit says:

This report is probably not true but I can totally see it happening.

  12. blue marie says:

Because you can’t uncook burnt bacon, once it’s burnt it stays burnt.

  13. Tatjana says:

I’m not rooting for them. I’ve read Charlize is a colossal b***h, but no one deserves a women-beater like Sean.

  14. A:) old prude says:

Man those legs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ll be a better man sorry women if I get to play with them even though I play for the other team.

That’s all I have to say without puking re these two.

  15. FingerBinger says:

Could we retire the baked ham,ham hock, and burnt bacon references? Telling the same joke over and over again makes it less funny IMO.

    • mercy says:

That’s never stopped anyone lol. You can find jokes or lines that have beaten to death in many threads. It’s not only reserved for Sean. I’d take the skin jokes over talk about his more serious issues if I was him.

  16. QQ says:

I dont even question his face anymore WHAT IS THAT HAIR?!? Dyed Rug, Chinchilla?

  17. mercy says:

She looks better in these pics than she did at the Met, imo. Legs for days! He needs to lose the creeper mustache.

  18. mayamae says:

    Rigorous sex?
    rig·or·ous

1.strict, harsh, or unrelenting: characterized by unrelenting demands, and allowing little or no scope for variation or relaxation
    2.exacting: extremely precise and exacting
3.severe: experienced as severe or extreme

Does not sound fun. Vigorous on the other hand …………….

    • Bread and Circuses says:

That’s what I wanted to comment on. How does one rigorously make out? It’s a word I associate with mathematical proofs.

    • Sacred And Profane says:

Yes, Mayamae, it was the first thing that came to my mind when I read that bit of the article, too. I do think the “source” meant “vigorous”. My best friend often does this, saying “reprehensible” instead of “comprehensible”, for example. It’s rather funny at times, but confusing vigorous with rigorous, in this context….not so much.

    • Alykat says:

Yah, was thinking the same. Vigorous, yes.. Rigorous? Just no, thanks

  19. LeahMommy says:

Smoking and drinking at parties…ahhh I miss those days. It’s too bad cigarettes are so lethal if not I would have continue smoking cause these were fun times.

  20. Sumodo1 says:

He’s hurt Robin and Madge. Also, the man went to jail for assault, right?

    From The Daily Mail:
“In June 1987, Madonna went to the Cedars Sinai hospital for an X-ray after Penn apparently hit her across the head with a baseball bat. At the time, they had been having a heart-to-heart talk about reconciling. Madonna did not make an official complaint because Penn was about to serve a short jail term for attacking a film extra. He served 33 days of a 60-day sentence in the Los Angeles County jail (23 hours a day in solitary) for violating the probation he’d been given for punching a fan. He was released into his wife’s arms, only for her to throw him out of a taxi a few hours later after yet another set-to.”

C’mon. Rooting for Sean and Charlize as a Couple? He’s an angry, hypertensive abuser.

    • Dulcinea says:

That daily mail article made me so sad. It sounds like he is the biggest jerk ever, but he’s a white male so I guess he goes unpunished.

    • Alykat says:

She (Charlize) is stepping onto extremely thin ice given her background. I would hate to see her continue the cycle and end up as a sad statistic. Hopefully Sean Penn has undergone some deep anger management therapy to quell some of those inner demons of his, but it doesn’t bode well. Leopard, spots and all that.

  21. BamBam says:

My prediction – She likes the bad boy for now, but one she’ll wake up next to him and say “OMG, what the hell am I doing here!?” I’m guessing “Bad Boy” wears thin after a while. All in all – Gross!

  22. serena says:

I can’t shake off the feeling of grossness when I watch the ham-face.

  23. Decloo says:

“Drinking… smoking… play fighting… neck-biting… making out.” What a lovely atmosphere for her kid.

  24. gg says:

Why the sleazy movie coke dealer moustache? Plus his hair looks like hell.

  25. Pizza Pete says:

They’ll break up and Sean will continue to claim that he’s never been loved.

  26. Camille (The Original) says:

Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. And yuck again.

  27. d says:

MEN DON’T CHANGE! If a grown man is exhibiting abusive behaviour, don’t even bother. He will.not.change.for.you.or.your.kids. DON’T BOTHER.

  28. Lux says:

    So gross. Yuck.

  29. new here says:

Charlize is massively overrated. She has total bitch face and she is bland compared to other actresses. Why does she have so many STANS? I know 2 people who worked on set while she was working on a movie, the stories, well, she was a nasty piece of work. I loved Young Adult only for Patton Oswalt- in a few scenes Therons’ blank bitchface did make me laugh but yeah. Something incredibly unlikable about her. They are probably well matched. His face is red due to massive boozing and burst blood vessels. And she if keeps up smoking she will age horribly.
