Jade Goody rose to fame in Britain by appearing on reality shows, including the Big Brother series where she made racist comments to Shilpa Shetty. She recently appeared on Indian Big Brother, Bigg Boss, where she was diagnosed as having cervical cancer following a routine exam.
Now, Jade has been told her cancer has spread to her liver, groin and bowel, and is terminal. She’s been given around eight weeks to live.
The reality TV star, who was diagnosed with cervical cancer five months ago, revealed: ‘All I want to do now is spend whatever time I have left with Jack and the kids.’
But Miss Goody, 27, who first rose to fame as a Big Brother contestant seven years ago, also said: ‘I’ve lived in front of the cameras. And maybe I’ll die in front of them.’
She plans to create a memory box for her two young sons fill the box with things to remind Bobbie, five and Freddie, four, of their lives together.
‘I want to ask God why he couldn’t have given me more time with my boys.
‘Just a bit – just enough to hear them laugh a few more times, to see that they’re happy, to write them long letters so I can tell them who I was and how much I loved them and remind them about all the things we did together.
‘Because they might forget me. And I can’t bear the thought of that.’
But Miss Goody, who can now only wait until her cancer spreads to her brain and bones, admitted she cannot bear to tell them she will die.
She told the News of the World: ‘I will never say those words to them. What’s the point? They don’t know what death means and it will frighten them.
‘So in the end I just told them my tadpoles (the cancer) had had babies they were swimming around inside me and they have made Mummy much sicker than she was.’
In the moving interview she also talks about her plans to marry boyfriend Jack Tweed, 21, who proposed to her on the eve of Valentine’s Day at her hospital bedside.
She said: ‘You know, when Jack came out of prison he had no idea how sick I was. And I know this is hard for him because he expected to get me back. He expected the chemo to work and that we’d have a life together as a family.
‘But I swear we WILL be a family before I die—just not for as long as I’d have hoped.
‘I love Jack with all my heart and I want to be his wife more than anything in the world. And I will be.
‘He’s devastated but he’s really trying to hold it together for me. But as soon as he found out I was going to die he just said, “Right then we’re getting married. You’re a special woman, I love you and I would be honoured to call you my wife. And I don’t care if it’s just for a few weeks”.’
Miss Goody also told of the harrowing moment on Friday when doctors told her they could not save my life.
She said: ‘I couldn’t breathe when they told me.
‘I just screamed and cried and said, “Can’t anyone do anything to help me!” Because a few weeks ago when they first told me the chemo hadn’t worked they said it didn’t have to be the end.
‘They said there were lots of other medicines out there and there were other things they could do.
‘And I believed them. And there they were telling me it was the end. I didn’t want to believe it. I’m not blaming them. I know they’ve done everything they can to help me and I’m grateful. But I really thought I might be OK.
‘But, I suppose there was this little part of me that didn’t. Since my bowel operation last week the pain has been getting worse and worse and I still haven’t been to the loo and I knew that was a bad sign. But I was still praying for a miracle.’
Jade isn’t a fool and is reasonably business savvy. She has two children, Bobby, 5, and Freddie, 4, and she is going to get married next week – and sell the exclusive to the highest bidder. I don’t know if this will be a legal union or fake a wedding for the cash. She is currently documenting her cancer battle on her reality show Jade’s Progress, and all the money she receives from this will be going to support her children after she dies.
She is also said to be getting her legal matters into order to insure they are taken care of, as well as creating a memory box to remind them of her. I guess there’s also a few hours of Big Brother for them to watch when they’re old enough.
Jade’s boyfriend Jack Tweed is currently wearing an electronic bracelet and must sleep at his mother’s house as part of his curfew, related to charges for grievous bodily harm, which means that he can’t travel with her to the United States to pursue more treatment, which he and Jade’s family encouraged. Jade says she knows her time is up, and just wants to be with her boys while she can. The children are from her previous relationship with Jeff Brazier, she did fall pregnant with Jack but miscarried.
Jade was yesterday photographed shopping for her wedding dress in Armani, and will be getting married next weekend. She is only 27 years old, and while cancer is often perceived as an old person’s disease high profile cases like this show us that no one is immune, and remind us to get tested.

She only became visible on my radar after the racists remarks on Big Brother. I thought her insensitive (well, obviously no more so than Prince Harry, in hindsight) but thought she handled the mea culpas quite well.
So this saddens me. A young mom dying, that just sucks!
That’s so sad. I don’t know of her, as I’m in the US, but my heart goes out to her and her family.
She’s doing everything she can to see to it that her boys are taken care of, which is wonderful.
I do hope she comes to the US and checks out the Cancer Centers of America; apparently, they have helped people whose doctors had given up on them… Maybe they can help.
She might also want to look into high vitamin C therapy, as well as the IV form of MSM – can’t remember what it’s called right now, maybe DMSO? But I read about it in a book called “The Miracle of MSM” and it has helped people, too. I tried to get my mother’s oncologist to put her on it, but her refused… She died of metastatic breast cancer in 2003.

No idea who she is, but my sympathies are with her and her loved ones.
To Bomblebee – she didn’t know she only had months to live at that point…she’s only young and it’s her way of earning money for her family…only as ‘bad’ as a father working away from home on business. She would have thought she had all the time in the world. None of us know what ‘s round the corner and I’m sure if we did would change many decisions. She doesn’t need blame and finger pointing now.
I’d heard that her chances of survival had gone down to 40%, but hadn’t heard this. Very sad. She can be a remarkably unlikeable persona, but she is a remarkably hard worker and how she managed by pull herself up from really horrific beginnings to become the most successful ex-BB contestant ever is amazing. The fact that her two young sons will now lose her is tragic.
Bomble – her first stint in Big Brother, which made her famous, was before she had her children. Two years ago she went back and did Celebrity Big Brother (with her dimwit of a current boyfriend) which was a much shorter time-frame, but she met up with the two nastiest pieces of work to be let loose on the screen (Danielle Lloyd and Jo O’Meara) who kept egging her on to bully Shilpa Shetty.
Her mainstays of work were reality tv and perfume-marketing, although she did try opening a business (beauty salon) as part of that. Besides, any of that time spent away from them was before she became ill and would have been necessary for them to bond with their father.
This is so sad, nobody deserves this fate. She is so young and with two small boys. terrible.
Cant stand her. She will continue to sell what little dignity she has until she is dead. I think she would leave a much better memory for her sons if she died with dignity instead of selling the show to the highest bidder.

She has THREE homes and plenty of cash from whoring herself on television in various countries. She doesnt need to sell her death to the highest bidder to make sure her children are cared for.
Jade is leaving a legacy her boy’s will be proud of.
And You can be sure in a couple of years time a film will be made of her extraodinary life.

My family and i never thought what happened in the bb house was a personal attack on shilpa just a basic clash of personality blown all out by our crazy politically correct society we feel very sad for Jade and her boys i for one will think twice before i miss yet another smear test we wish Jade all the luck in the world with her battle against cancer

voodoobetty are you being this insensitive just to rub people up the wrong way or you just very young & imature! Jade is a young Mother who is dying! I would want to make sure as she is that my young children where properly provided for after I was gone. Jade has been a reality tv star for the past 7 years and she is just working till the end.
Also Jade was not the one doing things with a bottle, get your facts straight before you say things like that first.
I would like to say how saddened I am to hear about Jade. I to have children the same age. I hope you have a beautiful wedding.
She is nothing but uneducated white trash. I’m not trying to get anyone riled up but I have absolutely no respect for her and you don’t just automatically deserve respect because you got cervical cancer.
Whatever one might think of this woman it remains a very sad situation fot her children – way too young to be losing their mommy.
Also want to add that this is a cautionary reminder to all women, to be sure to get that yearly Pap/pelvic exam, particularly if you have had HPV or venereal warts. Cervical cancer is very treatable in many cases if diagnosed in its early stage. Don’t let this tragic story be yours as well. Pass it on!
I agree pippipcheerio. I dont deny its quite a tragic situation but Im just rather appalled at her continual whoring of herself to the press even at this time. I just cant help but thinking that as soon as she got the news she called her publicist.

I saw a few episodes of that season of Big Brother. She struck me as not only racist, but hateful and petty to the core. What I’ve heard of her since then is pretty much more of the same. I can’t feel sorry for the death of someone so unrelentingly cruel.
I wouldn’t call her cruel so much as ignorant. Can’t stand the woman personally but even so she is NOT deserving of death.
Nobody says she deserves death but she certainly doesnt deserve to be lauded as the poor poster child for cervical cancer. There are many people out there dying of the same disease and they arent selling their story to the press. She has no shame and no dignity. Maybe they will put her body on display at her local ASDA so people can pay tribute.
Never watched her on BB but it is still sad for children to lose their mommy especially at such a young age. No one deserves such a sad and painful death.

Jag, Sorry for your loss. My baby had cancer not that long ago and underwent liver resection to remove the tumor. Never in my life have I been so scared of anything until my small little innocent baby became sick with such a terrible thing. Thank god she is better now but my sympathies to you

Its pathetic you can be spiteful towards a young woman who is dying and leaving her two young children behind.I have nothing but respect for her as she is refusing to let the cancer change her life. She won’t be there for her children but by doing what she is doing it means she can then support her children the only way she can after she dies. Get a grip.
I am deeply saddened by this news and have been out of the news loop as I live in the Middle East.
Cancer is a terrible disease and My thoughts are with her and her family. I don’t think Jade being paid for her show is a bad thing, afterall its not for selfish intentions or to go shopping and lavish in her lifestyle;its for a good cause her thoughts are with her children and ensuring two boys can be supported at least financially. Even still such money would not compensate for the loss of their mother.
I read a lot of posts on different sites of critisms of Jade and people who seem to really dislike her but no one is fully perfect, we all make mistakes. TV is TV and we must not take everything so literally and understand that peoples actions whether right or wrong are to try and entertain. It doesnt mean they deserve to be critisised to such an extent or deserve such terrible things.
Although I dont fully agree with everyones ations on TV unless someone deliberatly sets out to hurt me I have no reason to fuel such hate.
