Duchess Kate brings Prince George out for his daddy’s polo game: adorable?

FFN_Royals_Polo_FLYUK_061514_51451872

Prince George is such a star! So grumpy, so willful, so big. Such a bruiser. Duchess Kate finally got invited to one of Prince William’s polo games, and she brought along Prince George, who turns one year old in about five weeks. George is already walking, although it seems like he’s still more comfortable crawling. You can see more photos here at the Daily Mail – there are some really cute ones where it looks like George is trying to run away from his mom. There are also some pics where he’s just discovered his newest best friend, a horse.

Kate looks so much prettier when she’s not “trying,” right? The leggings look cute with her loafers and one of her favorite navy-and-white striped shirts (she has at least three). No sausage curls, her hair is pulled back with her sunglasses, etc. She looks really good here – she looks lighter and younger when she doesn’t have the makeup caked on. As for her figure… The Daily Mail says that Kate has been doing the raw-food diet lately.

She’s already renowned for her Size Six figure and snapped back into shape astonishingly quickly after giving birth to Prince George. Now, I understand, the Duchess of Cambridge has adopted a rather more unusual diet which involves eating nothing but raw food.

Although Kate is already careful not to consume too many calories, she hopes her new regime will further improve her glowing complexion and help her keep her slender figure. In particular, the 32-year-old has developed a fondness for the popular Latin American dish ceviche – raw fish marinated in the juice of lemons or limes and spices.

I understand that Kate plans to enjoy at least one day a week on nothing but raw food. Among the other culinary delights currently on the Duchess’s menu are watermelon salads, gazpacho, goji berries, tabbouleh and almond milk.

A friend of the Duchess says: ‘Kate already has the perfect figure but her motivation is to achieve radiant skin.’

Health experts say that raw foods are excellent for the skin, hair and nails because they contain far higher levels of vitamins and nutrients than cooked food. Following a healthy eating routine is beneficial for fertility too, prompting Royal observers to wonder whether Kate will be again be sporting an altogether different kind of glow soon.

The Duchess modelled during her days at St Andrews University, when she was thought to be a healthy Size 10, but she slimmed down to a petite Size Eight when she moved to London and reportedly followed the protein-rich Dukan Diet with her mother Carole. Now, she is believed to be a delicate Size Six. She even managed to shed her post-pregnancy weight a staggering five weeks after giving birth last year. The Duchess, who was a keen sportswoman at school, excelling at hockey and netball, still works out on a regular basis, and there were once claims that she had taken exercise advice from London’s most in-demand personal trainer, Louise Parker.

[From The Daily Mail]

I’m assuming those are UK sizes, because in American sizing, Kate would easily be a 2 or a 4. Like Kim Kardashian!!! Hahaha. Anyway, I don’t really have an opinion on Kate’s dieting. She seems to prefer her current slender figure to her healthier-looking figure back in the 2005-07 era. She seems to be very, very conscious of how much she weighs. But there will be a point – and perhaps Kate is already there – where she will have to choose between her ass and her face, as Catherine Deneuve said once. Kate can either put on a few pounds and look younger and (perhaps) have better, radiant skin and a touch of cellulite… or she can do the perpetual dieting and have a cute bum to flash while her face looks kind of thin and drawn.

    Meh, the kid is cute.

She’s not ageing well. Always choose the face!

    • Buckwild says:

Thing is, is she even choosing her bum at this point? she doesn’t have much going on there either, so it would probably help her to gain a few pounds and squat. Then she would have both her face and her bum.

      • Audrey says:

Yeah I think she’s just so paranoid about having her weight judged that she’s scared of gaining anything.

As much as we all know she’d look better, the press would have a field day and judge her so much

I can’t even imagine that pressure, it’s one thing I try not to be hard on her about because it’s a tough position

      • Ivy Vine says:

@ Audrey I agree with you. I don’t think I would do well with all that pressure to stay super skinny like Kate. Always having to look great. Always having to have a perfect outfit. Always having your picture taken for millions of people to see around the world. It is sad that our culture put so much pressure on looks.

      • bluhare says:

I agree about the pressure. I’d hate it.

      • Sunny says:

I totally agree. Definitely not a Kate super fan but she is under the spotlight so much she must feel enormous pressure to be thin.

I think she would look amazing up a size or two. And I love when she pulls a casual look. She is really pretty in these pictures. I hate her formal style. It is awful.

      • hmmm says:

The pressure to be super thin is self-imposed. She looked fine before she dropped a dramatic lot of weight just before the wedding. She supposedly doesn’t care what anyone thinks except Willy. She supposedly does not read about herself.

Choosing between her face and her bum? She could have chosen between her bum and charity. She’s done it all to herself. When I think of all the infinite variety of glorious food I could be sampling in her place, made by chefs all over the world- it makes me weep. To think she’s denying herself endless bounty….it’s like saying “no”‘ to life.

She is self-absorbed and self-obsessed. There is no room in her stomach for nourishment, and no room in her heart for the plight of others.

I wonder if she still smokes.

      • vava says:

Generally speaking, I think she usually looks much better with casual clothing – particularly when she is not wearing The Wedges of Doom. I like her ensemble in these photos. She’s not twirling her hair and looks fairly comfortable.

This thing about being scrawny, if that was her natural size it would be fine. It isn’t her natural size though. She starves herself and it shows in her face when the photos aren’t retouched. It’s sad that she, or someone else in her circle, thinks this is desirable.

      • AM says:

        hmmm,
I would guess that if she was smoking as recently as the fall of 2012, she likely went back to it after giving birth, especially when trying to lose weight.

        vava,
        http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2347032/Royal-ex-factor-society-wedding-Harrys-3-blondes-Wills-SIX-beauties-Kate-Middleton-saw-off.html

Check out the girls in the William set, each one thinner than the last. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is where Kate gets it from.

      • LAk says:

AM: I definitely think her size is about William’s preference for bony lasses AND she’s been rewarded spectacularly either by William moving their relationship forward – see Media Tour 2007 or the media praising her new skinny self or both.

      • AM says:

        LAK,
Oh, absolutely. It would be incredibly difficult to NOT place a lot of value on something you’ve gotten universal media praise for – that goes for her weight and her hair. It’s definitely something she works at, so I hope she is going about it in a healthy way. And I sincerely hope that William is not in any way encouraging her to be unhealthy to maintain this weight.

    • charlie says:

Yes, our culture focuses on female looks, but Waity does nothing to mitigate that for herself. She’s so vapid and uninteresting, her work ethic is non-existent, so she gives us not a single other thing to focus on except her looks. So please don’t put all the blame on “our culture,” when Waity brings this on herself.

      • bettyrose says:

That’s a good point. I do think her weight would be critiqued even if she were the hardest working royal ever, but the scrutiny would be mitigated if she gave the world anything else to talk about. Then the weight would be more of a side note and less of a headline topic.

  2. hunaww says:

Oh my god prince George is so cute! I want to squeeze those chubby legs and bite his cheeks <3

    • Audrey says:

      I know!

I love his chub. He’s so cute and such a grump.

Definitely more of a toddler now. They have their hands full with him

  3. PunkyMomma says:

Oh The Royal Brusier. Such a great grumpy face. It’s so much easier to tolerate Will & Grace (um, I mean Kate, Will & Kate) when Georgie is around. Such a chubs.

    • Meredith says:

I seem to recall William being like this as a toddler when he had the nickname Billy Basher!

  4. paola says:

That has to be one of the cutest babies I’ve ever seen!
I have the idea he is like an hurricane. So so cute

  5. GiGi says:

The pics are sweet. And I’m not Kate apologist (generally) but I think you can tell she must be a pretty hands on mom. I know women who don’t have much to do with their kids – they don’t look that comfortable with them.

    • paola says:

      Kim and North
      *cough cough*

      • FLORC says:

        Paola
Thank you. They also had cute pictures.
When I think about others I want to bring them up in conversation too. I don’t really think about KK that much. I’m not a fan like you must be to always have her on your mind.
I’m all about Dame Angie! So pretty.

      • paola says:

        Florc,
as Gigi said ‘ I know women who don’t have much to do with their kids – they don’t look that comfortable with them. ‘ i was just pointing out that KK looks exactly like that. North looks uncomfortable with her and the body language tells me they don’t spend much time together. I was just commenting in an ironic way and I am in no way a fan of KK.

      • FLORC says:

        paola
I was trying to joke. It was a poor attempt so I don’t blame you for not getting it.
I do think it’s hilarious people will complain about KK, but if they really wanted her gone they only need to not comment or care about her life. Pay no attention and the site will not post threads that get no attention. If you really want her to go away you have to do your part. Otherwise it’s hundreds of commentors complaining, but they are a huge part of the problem.
And unlike Kate here, Kim makes her money because people choose to wath her show and buy her products. I have no qualms with someone that does not rely on handouts and can be easily ignored if chosen.

I do disagree completely with you. Babies are completely different. Nori has a raised eyebrow face. George has a grump face. My cousin in laws baby hasn’t stopped smiling and never seems to frown. You cannot judge how comfortable a baby is with their parents.
For another example. I can be really nervous with babies. For whatever reason I was able to get a baby to stop crying and when passing him back to his mother or father he would start up again. People would assume I was the baby’s mother, but had only just met him.

With Kate we know nannies do the bulk of George. They blend into the backround well or are removed from photos entirely, but are always nearby. From many candid shots of the Aus/NZ tour George was seen being held by his nanny and laughing/clinging to her as much as he does with Kate.

Ultimately, if you think you can read body language from a baby you’re justify your opinions by seeing what you want to see. Nothing more. To say there’s more is a stretch.

      • ArtHistorian says:

        Dame Angie rocks!

There really isn’t that much to discuss about Kate other than her looks. She doesn’t really work, and at the offical events that she primarily attends her role seems to be purely decorative. She rarely speaks publically so we have no idea what her interests, ambitions and passions are. In a way she’s almost a cipher when it comes to her public persona – we know she’s thin, has great hair and a lot of clothes, so that’s what people have to discuss, and even her wardrobe isn’t that interesting, fashion-wise, IMO.

When there’s something remotely scandalous about her, it usually revolves around her “Marilyn” moments, hence the debate on the state of her underwear. It is quite sad, really.

I wish that CB would also cover some of the other European royal families. There has been a lot of events: Leonora of Sweden’s christening, Prince Henrik’s 80th birthday celebrations, the Spanish king’s abdication, etc. Queen Margrethe designed the costumes for the ballet Nutcracker last year (or the year before that), Queen Maxima is always interesting and the Scandinavian royals really know how to stage formal events – lots of wonderful formal wear and gorgeous jewels.

      • FLORC says:

        ArtHistorian
As much as I adore Dame Angie and wish she’d get more coverage here I don’t think I can deal with reading about her work. It’s uplifting and amazing, but it shows how horrible people can be to eachother. I’d be in tears daily.

Here we get Kate and very few other royals because they’re all doing their jobs or being frugal or living a quiet life. They have their scandals and troubles, but it’s far from the level the BRF is dealing with. That’s why Kate gets the gossip site and others get Associated Press and BBC coverage. Maybe Kate and William will figure out that if you give people something else to go on… like 1 visit a week bare minimum… those dress flyups and wardrobe spending won’t be such an issue.

Of course, Felipe and Letizia are getting coverage here now. And we’ve always had the saga of Albert keeping Charlene in his fertility dungeon or whatever we call it. Thankfully she is pregnant and can son get back to her rugby personal trainer;)

    • Amelia says:

I quite like the pictures of her on the Daily Fail (blech) where she’s sitting on the ground keeping an eye on him.
They’re managed to get their hands on some great photos on the DM, actually.
I highly recommend checking out the picture of Prince Harry on his horse O.O
Oh, and they are referring to British sizing. To convert, just add 4 to American sizes.

      • Audrey says:

I scrolled through dying for a pic of Harry holding George

No luck but it’s probably for the best. I might have passed out

      • KodochiiR says:

I’m curious, this is offtopic, but why does everyone here hate the dailymail??

      • someone says:

I like the DailyMail!! If you disregard the way they fawn over certain celebrities, their other stories are interesting. They seem to be quicker to get full stories and pictures posted on hot news topics than other American websites such as USA Today. Plus the comments in the comments section are priceless.

      • FLORC says:

        The DM comments are priceless.
Because the DM is like People or US weekly. They’re in the pocket of celebs and royals. The Online DM anyways.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I agree, Gigi, she looks very sweet with him. He’s an adorable little handful.

    • Miska says:

I don’t know. She does seem hands on with him in public. But I have seen only a couple of pictures ever where he looks at her or William. Maybe I’ve just missed them, but most babies that age are constantly looking at their parents even when they’re being adorable troublemakers. It makes me wonder how much time she’s actually spending with him or if he thinks his nannies are his parents.

      • kass says:

MIska — Healthy skepticism, I like it!!! Kate is no idiot and knows when the cameras are there and when to exploit the opportunity to her advantage — i.e. seem interested in people on royal walk-abouts, act like the doting mom, etc. Some people see a picture and formulate an opinion just on the basis of that picture….

  6. Barrett says:

I love him! She looks great. I love that ass or face! So true. I’m 40, tall, thin. I had a health issue that caused me to get thinner, now I’m feeling better and gained some back. But man not good for the face! My grandma always said be chubby and you will have less wrinkles!

  7. Eleonor says:

I want the adventures of Prince George and his Royal uncle Harry!

  8. mkyarwood says:

I do the raw thing once a week during the winter and as much as I can in the summer (to offset hot dogs). I usually include one warm meal a day tho if I’m eating mostly raw, with something like cous cous or brown rice and steamed greens, because your body isn’t meant to eat too much roughage fully raw. Most people do the raw diet for weight alone, but I do it because so much of our food is cooked to death/carcinogenic points of no return.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Interesting. Is there a reason people do a whole day of it? I mean, what if you just did a mostly raw diet, but included some low fat cooked meat or tofu? Does that ruin it? I’m thinking of how you would get protein.

      • wolfpup says:

If I juice without protein, I lose muscle. Another thing that I’ve learned is that losing that extra 20 lbs. can wreak havoc on your face, after 40. The reason is that when you lose it, your face sags, (like letting the air out of a balloon). Best to never go up more than 5 lbs. to avoid this issue. Retin A will prevent wrinkles (it is an upkeep issue); also sunscreen.

    • FLORC says:

You need to find a balance. Avoid those foods cooked and over processed.
To simply diet like Kate is so harmful to your longterm health.

    • Irishserra says:

I used to be raw vegan several years back and it was the best I’d ever looked and felt. My skin and eyes were very clear and I had insane energy. I just never found it sustainable year round (personally speaking. I just didn’t want to do the work involved). I like cake too much. And seafood. But now when I really start to feel like garbage, I dive back into raw fare for a while and I feel so much more vibrant, so that works for me.

Oooh, ceviche… That sounds so incredible right now.

      • FLORC says:

It’s hard to maintain even with the work. Sometimes the garden doesn’t always produce enough. Last year all our pumpkins, squashes, cucumbers and other vine veggies got attacked by a fungus. We got nothing sadly.
I won’t deprive myself anymore. Mostly raw foods and healty meals, but if I want icecream on a wednesday I eat it. Burgers on a monday done.
I could never do a cheat day. 1 day a week to indulge always made me sick.

  9. BReed says:

She looks great. The baby is adorable. I think he looks like his Grandfather Middleton.

  10. Sixer says:

UK size 6 is a US size 2.

In the shops, most places start at 10 (US 6) or an 8 (US 4).

And I have had to turn off TV news because if I see GEORGE TAKES HIS FIRST STEPS, BLESSED PRODIGY IS ONLY 11 MONTHS OLD, GEORGE IS BETTERERERER THAN YOUR KID, PEASANT, type coverage once more today, I will take to the streets with my second hand Kalashnikov.

(I won’t take to the streets really – that’s a line from an old comedy show and is in honour of Rik Mayal, who died last week).

    • Mel M says:

Ha! Well my son started walking at 10 months and I know plenty more children that started walking before a year. So in that regard he is not anything special.

      • Eleonor says:

I’ve never crawled, my mum was starting to be scared until she put me on my feet and I started walking, I was 9 months.
        It’s not a big deal.

      • Squiggles says:

        @ Eleonor

The same here, though I pulled myself up and was walking between chairs and such by 8 months. Only after I mastered walking, did I start crawling.

      • wolfpup says:

Of course he is not any more special than other children. He just has more pictures published.

      • Sixer says:

The Sixlets were both fatterbellygutbuckets and late walkers/early talkers. Neither crawled – they both did the exact same sniper-style drag-along on their elbows.

I like babies, royal or no. I just don’t like the same baby on my rolling news cycle more than once in the hour, you know? George is not one of the most important things happening in the world right now.

I’m going to risk BBC News channel. I hope he’s gone already.

      • bluhare says:

You guys are pikers. I went straight to driving.

    • Stef Leppard says:

Haha! I think it’s pretty clear from the DM pics that he’s not walking yet. He’s still holding on.

    • Ncboudicca says:

RIP Rik Mayall. Loved The Young Ones back when MTV used to play the episodes late nights.

      • Sixer says:

RIP indeed. I’m introducing the Sixlets to The Young Ones at present. They keep saying, “Oh that’s why you say X, Y, Z and think it’s funny!”

    • Ag says:

      @sixer – LOL. awesome.

    • hmmm says:

IMO, it was a calculated photo op. Odd that she has no friends around her, just polite strangers.

I wonder if the nanny was there.

      • AM says:

I wondered about the nanny, but I haven’t seen her in any pictures. It does seem like Kate is hands-on enough to take him out for an afternoon by herself.

      • MinnFinn says:

No photo evidence but I have to believe nanny was there because she still looks to me, quite tentative/lacks confidence with George.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I think she looks very natural with him, as is she’s quite accustomed to handling him. Funny how different people see different things.

      • bluhare says:

I think the nanny was there. There were a couple of photos of Kate with George nowhere in sight, and William wasn’t around either. I suppose someone else could have been holding him, though.

  11. janie says:

He’s adorable!, and appears to be a handful. Wonder hiw much he weighs, his legs are so chubby! I think Kate looks fabulous, and is very hands on. I love the shot of him spotting his dad’s water and like the rest of us, William shared it with him. Cute famiky.

    • kri says:

That kid is hilarious! They need him for Game of Thrones-King Baby of Stompingmire, or something. Look at his shoes-I bet when Cumberbatch comes for a tea party, the kid is like “Do NOT let Sherlock see my shoes, Mummy! He is into this look, too”! As for Kate, I like her best when she looks casual like this.

  12. MyLittlePony says:

PG, the Prince of Chub, is adorable, and is a spitting image of his father at that age. Yes, am old enough to remember 🙂 Kate looks very good and happy, too!

  13. Lucy2 says:

He is such a cute baby.
Does Kate really need to diet? She already looks very slim.

    • kass says:

Does she NEED to diet? That’s a rhetorical question, right? I suppose to maintain the skeletal frame she has now, then the answer is an emphatic “yes”, but if she simply wanted to maintain her natural state – slim, but athletic looking – then no extreme dieting would be necessary. Maybe if she kept herself busy and was a productive member of society weight wouldn’t be so much of an issue for her?

      • LAk says:

I think she made a rod for her own back when she lost the weight as ‘part of a plan’.

No one thought she was remotely bigger, but going on a diet with your mother and then being rewarded for that weight loss has ended up like this where she probably feels like she needs to be thinner than ever.

And you can see by the seat of her jeans that she’s lost weight behind there. She used to fill her jeggings. Now not so much.

Considering how skinny she was, can you imagine how much weight she is currently to lose her bottom?

      • FLORC says:

        LAK
What’s with the little k today?
And agree. She was a heavily weight before all of this. She was fit and toned. Not really much fat to be seen on her. Then she dieted and flaunted it. The media sensationalized it. Now as another (or you) said above it’s between the media praise and meeting William’s physical preference in a mate that keeps her looking to stay unnaturally thin. Unnatural for her build and body.

  14. Tatú says:

    Nose job line (1st picture)

    • eliza says:

If she had a nose job, I’d be suing the plastic surgeon because that is one of her least attractive features.

      • GiGi says:

I don’t think she has. If you look at the supposed “before/after” pics – her nose looks the same.

      • wolfpup says:

I believe that her most unattractive feature is her (fake) teeth. She would look ordinary without them, but they look so unnatural. What was wrong with her real teeth?

      • FLORC says:

She had a nosejob. It’s slight, but there is a change. She’s had lots of tweeks or at least her face suddenly appeared to have a slimmer nose, decreased under eye bags, and corrected teeth.

With the nose job it’s subtle, but absolutely there. All her work was done well. and the best work is said to not be noticable. To make oyu look a more natural version of yourself.

        Wolfpup
Veneers always bug me. No matter who’s they are.
With Kate’s smile I can’t look past her underbite.

      • Rosehip says:

        Wolfpup
I’ve asked myself this question too. Her natural teeth were fine. Not perfect, but that made them all the nicer. These teeth are just too big; it is beyond me why she got them. You are very right. They look very unnatural and a too dminant feature of her face.

  15. Hannah says:

I feel bad for her that she has to eat like that to keep a size 6 figure. She’s not naturally a size 6 and that’s that. Sadly, I get it. We live in world where her being a size 10 would be considered fat. I also refuse to believe she’s the only person, excl media, in her life putting the pressure on her to remain a 6.

    • wendi says:

Good comment. I’m not clear on your last sentence though – do you think the royals pressured her to diet down to her current skeletal state or that the media somehow encouraged it??

Since Kate was never the least bit chubby or overweight, I have a hard time believing someone suggested she needed to lose a few. Before the weight obsession took hold, she had the kind of figure others would kill for — slender, athletic and looks good in clothes. Now she looks like she’ll snap in half and doesn’t seem to have the strength to carry the baby!

      • LAk says:

Don’t know how true this is, but during the engagement, she was reportedly on a diet with her mother. We all saw the results because she became skeletal in the six months leading upto the wedding.

Personally, I hoped she was dieting simply for the wedding as brides do, but I was also dismayed when she told a member of the public, who’d told her not to lose any more weight, that the weight loss was part of a plan.

I assumed she’d eventually put the weight back on after the wedding, but alas.

She gained weight when it was time to conceive, but now job done, off it’s gone and based upon the pics above, particularly the seat of those jeans, she’s lost more than she did first time round.

      • The Original Mia says:

Wasn’t it reported they were both followers of the Dukan diet?

      • FLORC says:

        LAK
Was that diet and the timeline you’re talking about when she got photographed in the black wrap dress?
She was on a diet called the Dukan Diet. This was confirmed if I remember correctly. She was on it with Carole and Pippa, but they didn’t lose weight like Kate did.
The packs of cigarettes in her purse during that timeperiod likely didn’t help either.

      • LAK says:

        Yes.

Florc: i was so puzzled by your question regarding the little k. i was posting from my phone, removed cookies and retyped my handle. didn’t realise i’d typed little k – couldn’t tell from my phone.

  16. Loopy says:

    He needs his nappy changed.

  17. wow says:

    Kate at her best.

This is how she won me over. I can tell she truly enjoys being a mother and loves her little boy. She positively glows in mom mode! It’s times like this that I can honestly say, “yes William, you picked the right one”. I can’t really picture anyone else with him. I use to always think “He’ll never be Queen (Consort) but now somehow she almost seems born for the role as wife to a future King (Queen Consort) and mother of a future King. She just doesn’t irk me as much anymore (except when she’s flashing).

    • wolfpup says:

All mother’s glow. What makes her suitable for the royal family seems to be that of meekness.

But I do agree, this is Kate at her best.

    • FLORC says:

Kate outdoors and in flats is Kate at her best. The formula never fails.

  18. Anastasia says:

I’m old enough to remember William at exactly this age, and George is a total dead ringer for him.

Are my eyes deceiving me, or is he a bit of a ginger?

    • bluhare says:

      I think so too Anastasia.

    • AM says:

Maybe strawberry blond? There’s definitely some red in there. I still think he’ll age into brown, but Kate wasn’t a fair haired child, was she?

    • rianic says:

This!!! I was scrolling to see if anyone else saw that!

    • charlie says:

He’s a total ginger. A year ago, speculation was rampant that he might be Harry’s child if he was born a ginger. Now here is is, a ginger, yet not a soul on here or the other Royal boards is talking about the Harry factor. Not that I’m saying Harry is the father; I just think it’s hilarious that so many of the people on here last year were going on and on about this, and now there’s nary a peep about George’s fatherhood. Ginger is, after all, a very recessive gene, and there’s no apparent trace of it in Kate’s family — they’re all dark. Whatever — whether the father is Harry or Bill, those royal recessive genes are aggressive!

  19. The Original Mia says:

So nice of W&K to allow the British people to see their heir. And on Father’s Day too!

George is adorable and active. So glad Kate was able to control her horse allergy long enough to attend this polo match.

She does look better without the heavy makeup. I’ll never like the jeggings. Never. If she wants to go through life on a diet, more power to her. At some point, she’ll look in the mirror and regret choosing her ass over her face.

    • Rosehip says:

That looks like a normal pair of jeans to me.

    • FLORC says:

The horse allergy was said to have been made up.
She’s been taking riding lessons or was not too long ago.

You’re right though. She looks great without the heavy makeup. Her skin would improve by not laying it on so thick.

      Rosehip
Those aren’t jeggings. You can tell from how loose it is round the ankle. And the thickness of the bunching around her knees. It’s thicker denim material so skinner cut an not jeggings. This is her possibly 1st approved pr looking candid appearance in pants that aren’t jeggings.

  20. Ag says:

G is not having it. haha

  21. vava says:

Hadn’t heard that quote about the ass or face, but it does make sense. I think Kate has already made that decision.

She looked pretty good at the polo game, but I wonder how much photoshopping took place on her face.

    • wolfpup says:

Just maintain your weight, exercise, and you’ll never have to choose.

    • FLORC says:

I can’t see her pox marks so quite a lot.

Kate has a pox mark in her forehead. Any blending or softening from photoshopping always blurs it out.
And depite her botox she has strong forehead wrinkles. When those are gone it’s a touhed up photo.

The main point we should all be aware of here is Kate brought George out. It’s pr control and a set up scene because we haven’t head anyone screaming for privacy over this.

      • GracePM says:

        That’s right, FLORC.

      • The Original Mia says:

Definitely a PR setup. There has been plenty of talk about “Where in the world is bonny Prince George?”, which was in addition to the talk about Kate’s conspicuous absence from William’s polo matches that both of them had to show up at this point, specifically on this day.

      • LAk says:

They’ve colour corrected her make up and blurred out the photos.

Her dimple grooves (running from dimples to chin) have mostly been removed. Ditto the mole above her lip.

Actually, they always remove the mole in most of her photoshopped pics.

  22. Marmaduke45 says:

Prince Geeorge has got to be the most Chunkin’ Punkin that ever was…he is too stinking cute. If I sit very still, I think I can feel an ovary trying to twitch. Or maybe it’s gas, it’s getting harder to tell at my age.

The DM got some great pictures. The photos of PG were predictably adorable, but my favorite picture was this one:

    http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/06/15/article-2658394-1ECA4C7E00000578-841_964x601.jpg

The Duke of Edinburgh getting behind the wheel of his car, and the Queen in the passenger seat. Love to listen in on the ride home. 🙂

    • Aeryn39 says:

I thought the same thing when I saw those pics of the Queen and Prince Philip!!!

I know it’s OT, but did you read the articles in the Mail and the Telegraph about some new poll showing William is more popular than HM???!!!! I was completely shocked. I guess his work-shy ways are discussed so much on this blog, I figured others noticed it as well. Plus, there were a couple of articles in the Mail about his “gap year”, including one that was discussed at length here. Oh well. Still shocked though:

      http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/theroyalfamily/10900890/Prince-William-more-popular-than-Queen.html

      • FLORC says:

These polls are just for entertainment value. They’re not to be taken serisously.

  23. Xantha says:

Why do people act like George being animated or fussy at times is such a big deal? That’s the description of many many babies in the world. Him being royal doesn’t make it any more special.

  24. Jane Q. Doe says:

Kate looks good here I think. Are they leggings or just jeans? I can’t tell. That George is just darlin’!

    • Rosehip says:

Plain old jeans! FLORC described above how you can tell.
NB i still believe that the navy ones she wears so often are jeans too; very skinny jeans.

      • FLORC says:

Hah! I only make a big deal out of it because i’ve bought many jeggings believing them to be skinny jeans.
To call jeggings skinny jeans is a huge pet peeve of mine.

Her dark blue pants are harder to tell… I’d say jeggings only because darker washes tend to be stiffer and tighter.
        Lighter washes have more give.

  25. TheCountess says:

Now that’s a cute baby, but maybe because he reminds me of decently departed, beloved baseball coach Don Zimmer.

Kate looks good in such casual gear.

  26. AC says:

Wow! I can’t believe she is guestimated at a US size 2, I would have thought she was a 00! Yikes. Terrifying to think what I would look like in a photo… US size 8. EEK. I think body dysmorphia is taking over the universe. 🙁

    • Mel M says:

      My thoughts exactly!

    • phyllis says:

ITA. It doesn’t help matters when you read comments throughout the thread that actually commend her on the results of her strict dieting — “She looks great”, etc., Personally, I thought she looked great BEFORE the crazy dieting/eating disorder, but I guess I’m in the minority.

      • Poink517 says:

Phyllis, I’m with you. She looks really frail and unhealthy. She needs to put on some weight.

  27. FLORC says:

If Kate wants better skin she needs to drink more water, stop random dieting for a health pattern of eating, and stop smoking cigarettes.

  28. Mel M says:

I like her causal outfit, probably because it’s something I would wear out with my kids running errands. But with all of the stories we hear about her shopping all of the time I can’t believe it’s for clothes. We’ve seen her in this outfit or others very similar many many times and for how little she’s out in public you would think that if she had a closet full she wouldn’t be repeating so much. I don’t think she’s that Ito clothes and that’s why most of it is pretty boring. She must love shopping for G or the new home then.

  29. bettyrose says:

Kate looks great in these photos. She wears natural well. But I think leggings need to be rolled up at the bottom or worn with boots to offset the popsicle stick vibe.

  30. Kate2 says:

Adorable, omg that is a cute little one. And I think she looks great.

  31. Olenna says:

Keep posting insults. You’ll eventually get a rise out of someone, maybe.

  32. Dany says:

He looks like a cross between William and Grandpa Middleton. Sometimes i even think he is a mini-Michael Middleton

  33. Grant says:

Or she can do squats and lift weights and have both!

  34. bettyrose says:

Crash – If you came here looking for a date, this approach isn’t working. Sorry.

    • phyllis says:

???? Who is “Crash” and who is your comment directed toward?

      • bettyrose says:

Phyllis – I think a couple of us responded to a troll whose original comments were deleted. It’s for the best. 🙂

      • Olenna says:

Phyllis, my comment was in reply to “Crash”, too. Please ignore it.

  35. Sachi says:

Nothing to say on Kate but George is so adorable. Reminds me of my 5-month old nephew who is also very chubby. 😀

    • bluhare says:

      Sachi!!!!!! I’ve missed you!

      • Sachi says:

        Hi bluhare!

        I’ve missed you, too!

A lot of personal stuff happened to me the last month or so and I couldn’t be on CB at all. I feel like going back to the old royal threads to see if I’ve missed a lot but I figured I’d just try to be here as much as I can from now on. It’s impossible to leave lol.

        I hope you’ve been well. 😉

      • bluhare says:

I’m fine. It’s lovely to see your name again. Try to keep the personal stuff at bay so you can hang around for a while.

  36. word says:

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pic of George with pants on. Or am I wrong?

  37. Paige says:

She’s a fabulous looking girl with a great figure. I dont see an eating disorder here. Her hair which is all hers is healthy and her skin has good color. If you want to see someone with an eating disorder go to an Angelina thread. Cant get over all the harping on this woman from her teeth to her weight and everything else in between. Same posters day after day after day.

  38. Kori says:

The Daily Mail has some cute photos of William coming over to Kate & George and George going in for William’s water bottle and getting a sip from Dad.

  39. Lady D says:

The DM has some new pictures up, and in one of them Kate is curtseying as the queen passes. The DM says she was following protocol by doing this. Sophie is standing right beside Kate and she is not curtseying as the queen passes. Does anyone know why? Is it because Sophie is not considered royal? I thought all family members curtseyed and bowed to the queen and prince.

    • candice says:

I’m not sure about the protocol, but when I saw Kate’s curtsey, I was struck by the fact that her knee seemed bigger than her thigh.

    • The Original Mia says:

Kate was late with her curtesy. Everyone bowed when the Queen first appeared. Major gaffe, hence the DM not showing it. But this isn’t the first time she’s forgotten protocol.

    • AM says:

Sophie had already curtseyed, Kate’s was a moment delayed. But isn’t it funny how the DM chooses pictures that make it seem like a different story?

  40. weirswalker says:

Those “English-type” baby clothes are ugly as hell….

  41. Curious Cole says:

Ass or face? Lol, what ass?! Daily Mail has pics of her bending to pick up George and I actually wondered how she sits properly, there’s nothing back there. Kate apparently recognized a lost cause and chose her face.

  42. jwoolman says:

Yeah, he wants to do a runner. If he were mine, I’d put him in a shoulder harness for sure! Gives them some freedom while safe.

I love pics with tiny kids holding on to their parents pant legs as he seems to be doing here. And when they’re taller- hanging on to mom or dad’s pocket.

  43. Angee says:

    More George! More George!

  44. Meg says:

is it just me or do they dress george in the same style clothes diana dressed william when he was a baby? to me they don’t look modern at all-but very ’80s.

  45. Megan says:

George’s overalls are a repeat from the Australia tour.
