Sharon Stone says her 56-year-old butt is like ‘a fine triple crème brie’

Sharon Stone is 56 years old. And she looks like this. Amazing. Many of you think (and I tend to agree) that Sharon has had some subtle, quality face work over the years to maintain her beauty. Sharon’s really smart about it though – she never looks ‘Toxed to the gills, never puffy from too many fillers. Her goal was never to smooth out every line on her face. And I think that’s the secret to “good work” – be realistic. You can’t be 56 and want to look 30. You can be 56 and want to look 42 though.

But even Sharon Stone is not immune to the perpetual “ass or face” debate. Sharon’s face looks amaze-balls, obviously, but what about her ass?

Sharon Stone admits she’s a little worried about taking her upcoming vacation.

“I haven’t worked out in a couple of months because I just didn’t feel like it,” Stone told me while promoting her Sharity.com auction of her clothes to benefit Yala, a Middle East and North Africa peace initiative for young people. “But now I’m going on vacation and I know what they’re going to do—[the tabloids] are going to put a circle around my ass and do one of those crazy magnified pictures saying, ‘What happened to her ass? It’s a bag of cheese.’ I would just like to say it’s a fine triple crème brie!”

She added with a laugh, “Right when they zoom in I should have a tattoo on my ass that says, ‘You wish you could get a bite of this.'”

[From E! News]

Well, that’s a god attitude to take. I guess? I feel like Sharon probably has a more European sensibility towards the whole beachwear thing – like, in Europe, no one cares if you’re out of shape and in a bikini. No one judges. At least that’s my perception of it as a gauche American.

Sharon goes on to describe her “old lady workouts” with E!, saying that she works out “like a savage” at the gym when she feels like it, and then swims in her pool with those pool noodles. Sigh… I wish a pool. Damn it.

Here are some photos of Sharon out with a “younger man” a few weeks ago. Is this her new piece?

She looks gorgeous, not for her age but for any age!

    • Lee says:

      Absolutely true!

    • Gea says:

I agree! I saw her in person so many times sans makeup, just incredible for any age.

    • joan says:

      Absolutely!

She looks not only great for her age, but great for a movie star — not plastic and over-done like so many.

Why isn’t she working? On a Netflix series like Spacey, or an edgy cable show. She’s talented, and fun to watch.

      Maybe “True Detective”!

  2. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I admire her attitude about it, and think that’s the secret to aging gracefully. Be happy with where you are, and who you are.

  3. Flounder says:

She’s crazy town and I love her for it.

  4. Panache says:

Isn’t it weird that she was asked/talked about this while promoting a charity auction?

  5. AG-UK says:

I also think she has a more European attitude, if you go to Spain/France/Portugal yes you can tell the Parisiens as they do look fantastic at the beach just the way they are put together style wise but no one is that bothered, skimpy thongs/ topless and all shapes. I do love her attitude, my motto is if you don’t like looking at me then turn your head.

It’s all good until the 90 yo or very heavy-set guy is flopping around in a speedo. I.am.not.that.evolved. I admit it. I am sorry. I don’t want to see junk dingle dangling all over the place.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Agree. No grape smugglers for me, really on any age. But especially the ones that disappear under the belly.

    • Lady Macbeth (HiddlesF) says:

I think the only country in Europe where nobody cares about how you wear a bikini is UK.
In scotland I used to see anything wore by anyone, no matter what.

In Italy if you wear a bikini and you have cellulite you can end up on a paper the following day. I remember that in May we were all terrified about the ‘bikini-try-on’ stage and women used to go on incredibly strict diets…

    • I think that your assessment of the European attitude towards bikinis is pretty spot-on. You don’t really see young women in tankinis or one-pieces in France the way you do in the US. Can’t say I’ve noticed the Italian bikini approach, although I have been to the beach there….and I live in Scotland, so I have to say that Lady M, you are SO RIGHT about the anything goes. Especially in Glasgow. The BEST people-watching city on the planet. Especially in Summer.

Sharon has always been a nice looking lady. I’m glad that some celebs are smart enough to not go ,Joan Rivers- Dolly Parton, aggressive with the Botox and face fillers. I hate that that stuff makes Joan Rivers’ face look like a weird boxed-shape bobble head doll.

  7. Emma - the JP Lover says:

I’ve said this before … as a black woman who has witnessed black women aging with taunt, smooth skin, toned bodies, and–in some cases–natural, non-saggy breasts well into their fifties and 60’s, I just don’t get why many people posting here suspect/often assume ‘every’ female celebrity over the age of 35 has had some form of ‘work done to ‘maintain’ themselves. I just don’t believe that’s true for everyone.

Hoping off my soap box to say … Sharon looks great! 🙂

    • Kiddo says:

I think because in Hollywood it’s expected and a lot of work is done, whether admitted to or not.

    • elo says:

I have noticed over the years that black men and women tend to age better than white people. I think maybe it is the lack of sun damage from tanning or possibly skin regiments that are established early on. I carded a black man once ( I bartended) I really expected that he was around 25-26 he was 52 years old! My jaw dropped, I asked his secret and he told me that his mother started rubbing coco butter on him the day he was born lol.

      • Pregs says:

I am 40, brown, and always mistaken for early-mid 20s. The best was recentlyI got into a conversation with a stranger on Mother’s Day. When we said goodbye, I wished her a happy Mother’s Day, and she said she would say the same to me when I am old enough to have kids. Ha! I’m almost too old to have kids.

      • kri says:

@elo I am 42 and get carded fairly often. People will then ask how I look so young. I have been using Palmer’s Butter on my face and body since I was 18. Also, coconut oil. Yes, at times I appear more greased up than Matthew M in Magic Mike, but once it sinks in..ahhh. Also am religious w/sunscreen. Sharon is simply beautiful-always was/will be. Crazy as a Halle, but as gorgeous.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Agree that generally speaking, black skins ages better than paler skin because of sun damage, though that doesn’t explain the breasts really, does it?

    • Francis says:

      Preach +1000

A neighbor 60 ,looks in her 30’s , no work, just natural.
She comes out jogging sometimes in the wee mornings and looking like she’s just awakened and not a bag or a wrinkle on the woman’s face. I am always amazed.
One day she told me she got hired at her job, where everyone was in their 20’s 30s, 40’s , no one asked her age until she handed in her final paperwork for name tags. They were shocked. Ha.

    • HadleyB says:

Were all those people at their target weight or below? Sharon is pretty thin.

In my experience if you are thin, underweight you also tend to look older. My grandmother aged wonderfully– smooth skin, no wrinkles, perky boobs, bubble butt — til she died in her late 60’s. But she was overweight, not huge 300 pound over weight but she was never thin and this helped her not get wrinkly as one who is thin might. ( she was fair skinned).

My other grandmother was always stick thin, watched her weight daily– she really loved being thin. She was also dark skinned, but aged badly. She cared more about her ass than her face and it REALLY showed.

So I know we all know people who aged wonderfully but it really is genetics, weight, lifestyle, etc that will determine how you age. Good or bad. And most ( not all ) people age normally or badly — if everyone aged wonderfully botox, fillers, lasers, plastic surgeons, skincare companies, hair care companies etc wouldn’t be making billions off the aging industry.

  8. IL says:

    God she looks good.

  9. Loopy says:

Madonna would probably also look like this if she didn’t go crazy with botox and dumb bells.

    • candi says:

      and the fillers!

    • Jayna says:

Madonna’s problem is the cheek implants and filler in her face that changed her face to a pillow face and changed her bone structure to her face even when the filler isn’t as bad and sometiimes not as overfilled. The big cheek implants and filler around them ruined her unique pretty face.

      • Francis says:

Sadly those cheek implants have ruined a lot of attractive women in entertainment. I don’t get why they feel they need cheek implants , it looks odd. Imo

  10. GeeMoney says:

Such a beautiful woman… and she looks DAMN good for 56.

Not a fan of that red dress, though.

  11. Jayna says:

She’s beautiful woman, and I saw her in that LInda Lovelace movie and didn’t recognize her. She did it without makeup and a bad wig and dowdy clothes and looked every bit her age. She has lines on her face and some looseness. If she has ever done anything it might be to tighten her jaw line and do facials and laser, but she hasn’t done filler and botox nor major plastic surgery. Watch the movie and you will see. When she weasr light makeup and eye-makeup and keeps her hair stylish and blonde, she always looks like a woman in her 40s because she has great bone structure and great skin and beautiful eyes. My mother at Sharon’s age looked just as good and zero treatments or plastic surgery.

I admire her.. I read an article by her once talking about when she had her brain hemorrhage. It was heartbreaking. She said one side of her face sagged and she was weak and had trouble getting around. She was in and out of bed for eight months. She said her then husband had no compassion for her and seemed to hate her. I guess she was no longer the vibrant movie star he married. She said looking back she was used in that marriage and it was hard for her to admit. Then after the divorce she moved back to LA and he lives in San Fran. After a while he wanted the custody agreement changed of their son who went back and forth with one home base every year in one home with the other having visitation long distance. He sued for full custody and got it because the judge thought his life in San Fran with his new wife was more stable. She said because she was a woman with a career and an actress in Hollywood she suffered at the hands of that judge. She said she had to put her ego aside and think of her son and his happiness and not let him see her pain and anger when he came for weekends and long holidays or summer visits and be supportive of him for his happiness.

I never realized in that marriage she had suffered several miscarriages. The last one she was five months and in the hospital when she got the news and was devastated they were informed a baby had come up for adoption. (They had been trying to adopt for quite a while when miscarrying). She said it was the best thing that she could have heard at such a sad time.

  12. Talie says:

I think she has avoided fillers… that’s what screws so many women. They want to have a fat face like a teenager, but it doesn’t work when you’re 40 and 50.

  13. JudyK says:

    She’s beautiful for any age.

Aside from that, I know her son lives w/ her ex-husband, but what about the two boys she adopted after that? What happened to them? They are never mentioned, and I never see her w/ them.

  14. Jen34 says:

Aging is tough for us regular folk. I can’t even imagine how difficult it is for a movie star known for her beauty. She sounds like she has a great attitude, but I find it hard to believe that she is being truthful. She is too much of a diva.

  15. Francis says:

She’s gorgeous. I love her attitude.
Sharon has always been a very smart woman. Sharon understands who she is and knows herself and is not a bundle of insecurities like some other actresses, who run and get everything pulled and tucked as soon as they age a bit (ala Melanie Griffin)

    Sharon rocks at any age.

  16. GirlyGirl says:

What like squishy and covered in a waxy husk?

  17. Ari says:

I think she mentioned a while back that she doesn’t get her plastic surgery done in the states but overseas so maybe really good doctors are the key here and not overdoing it!

  18. Zigggy says:

Wait wait wait… there’s TRIPLE creme brie???

    • lrm says:

Yes. Yes there is. And I have bought some at trader Joes. Soooooo good. Though triple cream has a different consistency.

  19. Mrs McCubbins says:

I think she looks fantastic but 56.

  20. sonalaceae (Nighty) says:

The best country to have plastic surgeries is Brazil… Man, both brazilian actresses and actors are just gorgeous, you don’t notice they had plastic surgery at all, they age , but it’s a delayed aging, controlled enough by certain “retouches” that aren’t noticeble…

  21. lisa says:

is she trying to say her butt stinks?
