Everyone always yells at me when I say this, but seriously, Duchess Kate and Kim Kardashian are so much alike. They are the same age. They got married in the same year (that was when Kim married Kris Humphries). They were both pregnant at the same time. They both have controlling, stage-manager mothers. They both wear too much makeup. They both have younger siblings who have tried to become famous from their (Kim and Kate’s) actions. They both have had moments of exhibitionism. They both love to shop. They are both pampered and self-involved. And on and on. Anyway, Us Weekly says that they have something else in common: they’re both trying to get pregnant this summer. OMG, twinsies.
Though they come from very different worlds, Kim Kardashian and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton certainly seem to be connected when it comes to pregnancy. The pair were both scheduled to give birth to their first borns in July 2013, and now they will again be pregnant at the same time, the new issue of Us Weekly reports.
Last summer the reality star, 33, beat out the royal, 32, welcoming daughter North West with now-husband Kanye West on June 15, 2013. Prince William’s wife was close behind on July 22, when Prince George, the future King of England was born.
Now that it’s been almost a year since both ladies gave birth, sources tell the new Us Weekly that both are looking toward their second pregnancies and baby no. 2.
“Kanye wants a boy!” a Kardashian source tells Us. In fact, the newlyweds were so eager that they tried to get the ball rolling while on their honeymoon in early June. West and Kardashian returned to the romantic spot earlier this month in the hopes of trying again while the rapper records his new album.
But after the criticism Kardashian endured during her first pregnancy, the new video game star will keep her next pregnancy quiet for as long as possible.
“Kim won’t tell anyone until she’s five months along,” a source told Us. “She doesn’t want people scrutinizing her body.”
As for the Duchess, she hopes to be pregnant with Prince George’s sibling “by Christmas,” a source for the Royals revealed, adding, “Will and Kate have siblings similar in age, and they want the same for George. They’re ready!”
It wouldn’t surprise me at all if this was true. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if they wanted to switch genders this time too, with Kate hoping for a girl and Kim hoping for a boy. I would say the odds are probably better for Kate because I think she genuinely would like to get pregnant right now and she and William are actively trying. I’m not sure if Kim is all that jazzed about being pregnant again and it wouldn’t surprise me if she was just paying lip service to the idea of having another kid.
Also, you know that story earlier this week about Kate’s “friend” Jessica Hay? Hay told an Aussie gossip mag that Kate is already pregnant. For a while, there was radio silence about the story from the palace. But Entertainment Tonight Canada finally got Kensington Palace to comment. The official word is that “the Duchess has not spoken to Jessica Hay for very many years… She is not in contact with her at all.” BURN. Well, if we’re parsing, I would point out that it’s not an outright denial of the pregnancy, it’s just a denial of how Jessica Hay would know either way.

Please don’t let Kim have another prop. At least Kate seems like an involved and hands on mom (I know she has nannies but she and George still seem very comfortable with each other).
Having a nanny or three and being a present, involved parent aren’t mutually exclusive unless one is Kim K [allegedly], just like your kids being at daycare or school doesn’t mean one isn’t a present, involved parent.
But Norith West’s little facial expression does TELL a story and that story she is very uncomfortable around her parents. It is evident that Kim and Kanye have not bonded with their daughter in every picture ever taken with parents and child. Taking your child to daycare and picking them up again is very different then leaving the child with either nanny 1, 2 or 3 for weeks on end.

Babies have faces. George could possible not know the difference between Kate and the nanny since he’s seen clinging and smiling with the nanny. And his smiling around Kate could simply be gas. And Princess Estelle? She gives her parents and almost everyone else a look like she’ll chop off all their heads when she comes into power. Does that mean she also hates her parents?
The assumptions being made on Nori’s face are reveling only what the person assuming feels. Not the child.
ITA with Florc here and with her comment below about calling North anything other than her given name. It’s like disparaging an innocent child because you don’t like the parents. And, all this talk about Kate being an involved parent, no one really know how much time during George’s day, everyday, that Kate actually spends with him.
Right @Lak – but those of us who drop out kids off at school or have nannies do so evause we can’t be there or for socialization purposes but those pics in The Daily Mail show KimME parked in her fat a$$ at the pool while the nanny takes care of her child. That is sad. I have never laid around by the pool in 3 1/2 years of my child’s birth and that is because I am busy in the water playing with her. This bio mom makes me so sick. Why did she even have a baby if she didn’t want to take care of it.
TG: I think that my larger point was missed. Having a nanny or 3 is the same as dropping off your kids to daycare. People are so judgemental about nannies without stopping to consider that daycare is essentially doing the same thing for their own children. The only difference is that the nanny is in your home and daycare is outside the home.
That said, i do agree with you about what Nori is showing when held by her parents, but i won’t condemn them completely because She doesn’t seem comfortable with anyone. Look up pap pics of her with PMK, Kanye’s family and the various nannies – including the sunbathing pics that you are referencing. Like Estelle of Sweden, Nori maybe one of those babies with a resting b!tch face.
…except that:
1. Kim and Kanye seem to be heading dangerously close to the rocks, no? And
2. Kim is speaking obsessively about her weight lately, how hard it was to lose it, how much she wants to lose more, and even yesterday calling that post-birth weight-loss the “greatest challenge of my life thus far,” or some pathetic words to that effect.
Moreover,
3. She doesn’t seem very (at all) attached to the one she’s already got, and
4. If she has a South, Kanye will just be all, “Cmon, baby, we need to make an East and a West so we’ll have a perfect set of four to ignore.”

I think Kim getting pregnant again would be like a shot it the dark and very lucky for her. When was last time with Kanye. Wasnt it said they oly been together like 9 days since married so were probably up to 11 days now.
Sad the pics in mexico does anyone see any interaction between mother and daughter other then North sitting in Kim lap and both looking bored.

I want to know the real story about Jessica Hay.
She is the old “school chum” behind many Kate stories……the Prince William poster on Kate’s bedroom wall, the bullying, etc. They say she offers a lot of old school days tales to the Australian press, but without evidence. Still in this case she might know someone who knows someone etc.
It’s really tacky that she’s making money off a schoolfriend who became famous.

I think Kate wins hands down in the mother stakes she see George everyday he clearly knows who she is and is comfortable with his parents the same can not be said of Kim and Ignori. Little George even get’s to dress like a little boy in lovely clothes not boring bland outfits to match her parents own bland and boring personalities. I dont think Kim wants another kid for a long time but then if Kanye wants one he will get one she doesn’t seem to have a brain of her own.

…and it should count as something that at least Kate seems to like her baby and he seems to like her. Beyond that, the absence of terror on the face of Kate’s baby when he looks at her sets her apart from Kim, whose poor child is terrified of her. And as repelled by her as are the rest of us.

Kate should be pregnant all the time. It’s the only time she looks youthful and glowy. It suits her.
I’m not sure if I want to be subjected to pregnant pictures of Kim again. I still have nightmares about her swollen feet in those ridiculous shoes she insisted on wearing. I would hope that this time she would give Kanye the middle finger and put on a comfy pair of flip flops and a nice loose maxi dress, but I don’t think she can think for herself anymore.
Jessica Hay clearly gets the tea from someone close to them. I do think their friends have loose lips when they are around their own kind — thinking it’s safe.

Kim looked like she HATED pregnancy. I don’t think she’s in a rush to do that again.
I do remember reading that she wanted a big family. Like you, I doubt that pregnancy is in her future anytime soon. If she does get pregnant, Kim needs a better wardrobe. The outfits she insisted on wearing made her look worse than she was. It was cruel for the tabloids to make fun of her like how they called Kate “pregorexic” though.

It’s still her money that she earned (through however dubious a method). If the law allows her to reduce her taxes, who cares? That is not in any way the same thing as being entirely supported by someone else’s money (involuntarily for many taxpayers in England).

I agree, Kaiser, there are some real similarities between the two women. I rather enjoy that because it must annoy the heck out of Kate. I wouldn’t doubt she’s reading about herself on the Internet.
One thing they don’t share is the fact that Kim looked painfully bloated during her pregnancy whereas Kate looked better than usual.
Kate might have been very bloated at the end but we never saw her the last 2-3 months of her pregnancy. She announced early on that her last public appearance would be well before her due date and she did disappear. And as I’m typing, I just realized that is additional evidence of how obsessed Kate is with her appearance and slim figure. I bet KK would have also disappeared the last few months if it wouldn’t have negatively affected ratings.
Didn’t she do that boat christening in June? The one where she wore the black/white animal print coat? She was at Trooping the Colour too, in mid-June, she wore that pink coat with the ugly hat. I didn’t think she looked all that uncomfortable and that was about 6 weeks before she had Georgie. But perhaps that last month was very challenging because you’re right – she did disappear.
Kim wearing those plastic sandals and her feet were so swollen. That was pretty shocking, I thought. Not the swelling per se, but her choice of shoe!
The expectation by society and press is that Kate will have another child. I’d be surprised if Kim does anytime soon considering how her last pregnancy seemed sort of rough on her.

There is no way Kim can wait 5 months to announce a pregnancy, unless she is in complete seclusion. At 5 months, she will be absolutely HUGE with Baby #2….just like the first time around.
There are real similarities between the two which is why I hate when people say that Kim has no class yet princess chick does. They are just saying that because she is royalty. Royalty looks dignified and pretty. Reality tv looks trashy and undignified. By the way, I was watching the royal wedding episode of “The Middle” yesterday and think I should refer to Kate as “princess chick” from now on.

I don’t know about pregnancy & synchronizing with Kim, but one of the gossip mags had a cover article on Kate and her weight (again!!). They said she had dwindled down to 90 something pounds and was well on the road to anorexia. Doubt this mag would be privy to her medical files, but a picture is worth a thousand words. I also believe the quotes from various onlookers who saw her at royal engagements — she was frail and emaciated up close.
I remember reading that article when I was in the airport gift shop last week! I don’t think that she’s 90 pounds but she is pretty thin. Honestly I used to not get the anorexic rumors but that one beige lace outfit she was wearing opened my eyes to how thin she is.
Her severe weight loss and current appearance give credence to this I suppose, but I’m always skeptical about anything these tabloids have to say — particularly when they refer to “insiders” and “sources” who are never identified. Does she have the tortured mind of an anorexic – this is a disease, not just the result of a diet- who knows, but thinking back to Diana’s history, I hope someone at the palace is keeping an eye on her and getting her whatever help she may need.
Clearly Kate is in control of her weight, but she apparently doesn’t realize how the weight loss has really aged her. Her current weight isn’t normal for her either, and so her dieting and exercise program are not really working to her advantage, IMO.
