Here’s a photo of Tom Cruise acting overly enthused to see the paparazzi in Vienna, Austria last week. Tom’s filming Mission: Impossible 5 because he will never stop flinging himself headfirst into action roles. Tom’s 52 now. Will he be able to do this forever? He’ll always be crazy enough jump off buildings. Men usually last longer in physical movie roles (or any roles at all) than women do. I have to wonder if we’ll see Tom as an 73-year-old action man someday. That would be weird. I wouldn’t put it past him to try.
We haven’t had any speculative posts over Tom’s sad love life lately. This story comes along at a convenient time. This week’s issue of Star (via Radar) says Tom is smitten with his MI 5 co-star. Her name is Rebecca Ferguson. She’s a Swedish actress best known for her role in the BBC’s The White Queen. Rebecca is gorge.
Tom doesn’t have “a type” per se. His (three!) ex-wives all look completely different from each other. No one would ever mistake Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman, and Katie Holmes for being sisters. The Mirror says Tom handpicked Rebecca for this role, and she reminds him of a younger Nicole. Let’s do this with feeling:
Not one to stay single for very long, Tom Cruise has found his next flame, the National ENQUIRER is reporting.
Sources tell the ENQUIRER that the movie hunk has been flirting “nonstop” with his Mission: Impossible 5 co-star and love interest, Rebecca Ferguson. But that’s not all! Ferguson is the striking image of his ex-wife Nicole Kidman!
“Tom keeps saying how Rebecca’s just like a young Nicole, but even more beautiful,” an insider told The ENQUIRER.
Insiders say that Ferguson first caught Cruise’s eye in The White Queen, a period drama on Starz. “She looked just like Nicole with her pale complexion and tousled reddish-blonde hair,” a source revealed. “Even her sex scene was just like one Nicole did years ago.”
Despite many actresses auditioning for the coveted role in Mission: Impossible 5, Cruise hand-picked Ferguson to star across him in the franchise’s fifth installment — a tactic he also used on Kidman back in 1989 after seeing her appear topless in Dead Calm. He immediately asked the Australian bombshell to co-star with him in Days of Thunder.
“Rebecca was a surprise choice,” one of Cruise’s pals confessed. “There were better known actresses in line for the role, but Tom said he thought she’d be perfect.”
No stranger to chemistry, Cruise apparently hit the nail on the head with his selection. An on-set source told The ENQUIRER, “There’s been a real spark between them, and Tom’s been giving Rebecca his full attention.”

Star couldn’t resist the detail about Rebecca looking like Nicole. There are no similarities other than the hair color, right? I could believe that Tom is into Rebecca, but she’d be crazy to go out with him. He’s dying for a new relationship. It’s been two whole years since Katie Holmes grabbed the burner phones and fled. Tom hates to be single, you know.

I think you can see it in the eyes and shape of face, but definitely not the nose.

These stories always get sent when he has a new movie, how he’s so smitten with his costar that he “hand-picked” her for the role. I find them creepy and insulting, wherever they’re coming from.

I watched the White Queen, did not recognize her in that pic at all! I think the darker hair suits her. She is very pretty, and old enough not to drink the kool aid hopefully.

I heard he’d left Scientology … hence why Katie felt it safe for her and Suri to move back to LA. If he saw her on THE WHITE QUEEN, her character would have been a blonde – honey/platinum highlights. Rebecca dyed her hair and gave an interview about why she’d dyed her hair blonde for the role. So that is utter BS as far as this article.
Seeing them in wires reminds me of Emily Blunt talking about how earnestly dorky he was/is even with the wires/harnesses to extent that she had to rib him into admitting that they weren’t great even though they were necessary for the job.

Emily Blunt was the best thing that ever happened to him. Saw them together on Graham Norton Show and she made him seem almost human. She is truly a wizard, we should all fear her.

Rebecca is super pretty and smoking hot and a great actress to boot. Last I read, she lives in an old windmill in Sweden with her partner and their little boy. Don’t think Tom Cruise would be any kind of appealing to her.

What happened to the “romance” with Laura Prepon? I can see a small resemblance between Laura and this actress, back when Laura was younger and hadn’t had work done. I just want to thank everyone for not thinking all redheads look the same! As a redhead I have spent my life being asked if I’m related to random redheads I have never met, and being told I “totally” look like the girl in the Wendy’s commercials or Vicki Lawrence (neither of which I resemble in any way). I know it’s a petty rant, but I’m just so glad to hear people say that 2 women who happen to both have red hair & freckles don’t “totally look alike.” 🙂

It seems like the older he gets, the younger his romantic interests get. So I looked them up, and Rogers was born in 1956. Then Kidman was born in 1967. Then Penelope Cruz, who he dated before Holmes, was born in 1974. Then Holmes was born in 1978. And if this story is true, his new interest was born in 1983.
At this rate, his future wife when he’s in his 70’s, hasn’t been born yet.

I don’t think any of the gossip centers around his professional demeanor, everyone knows he is well respected and does right by his fans. I don’t have any bones there. That doesn’t mean he’s not (possibly) got a bagful of Sci-bot crazy in the closet at home either. There’s a reason he auditions girlfriends like game show contestants and all of his ex-wives have the air of escaped hostage victims about them, the owls are not what they seem in the words of the Log Lady from Twin Peaks! 😉

Tom is a member just like those that make those claims once were. He did not commit those crimes you mentioned-they are made against the church at large- not him. He is who we are talking about. The one claim of people doing work for him there is no proof he knew of it. Even those that made the claim said so. Someone in the higher ups hired them to impress Tom while he was off filming. So yes, he is a member but to act like he committed those things you mentioned (blackmail, making people disappear) is a jump. Is every catholic responsible for the sex offending priest? Does he know or should he know the things that go on is another story and we can speculate but you don’t know for sure. I don’t think Tom is smitten with anyone. He has said in many interviews that he is focused on WORK.. that WORK takes up all his time. I think that is the case. I actually think he is enjoying not being in a relationship. He seems to be very Care Free now. No strings. And that includes his children. I don’t dislike Tom at all; I just have always thought there was something very asexual about him.
