Kanye West is a ‘married Christian man,’ meaning he’s immune from criticism

wenn21704855

You know how Kanye West likes to yell at people in wheelchairs? It’s true. There’s video evidence. The Daily Mail (and other outlets) reported over the weekend that during one of Kanye’s Australian shows, he refused to start a song until every single person was standing. Even the people in wheelchairs. When the audience tried to tell Kanye that the one dude he was yelling at was actually unable to stand up, Kanye waited until he got solid confirmation. Here’s the video:

So, the video and the story went viral. Kanye was bashed soundly and justifiably because OMG, who does that? I really hate when musical acts try to get too interactive with the audience, “Clap your hands, stand up, come here,” JUST SING. Just perform. You’re an entertainer. Entertain. Anyway, you would think that this bad press would make Yeezington stop for a moment and reflect on why it was a bad idea to accost a dude in a wheelchair. Nope. A genius like Kanye will not have any moments of self-reflection. Y’all are just haters and #NoDisrespectToBenAffleck, but he’s a married Christian man and apparently that makes him untouchable? Skip ahead to the 1-minute mark:

What Kanye says:

“What I want you to do is I want you to run the video everyone’s talking about where I so-called screamed at somebody and everything. I want you to run that, right, since this is such big media-press-news and everything that obviously they trying to demonize me for. It’s like, “Welcome to today’s news, ladies and gentlemen.” We’ve got Americans getting killed on TV, kids getting killed every weekend in Chicago, unarmed people getting killed by police officers…”

“…It makes you just want to reflect on what are the things that are a little bit more sensationalized than others. … Because they’ve got this thing where they want the masses—people who’ve never heard my albums—to somehow read a headline that reads negative, and think that I’m a bad person or something. I’m not judging, I’m just going to tell you who I am. I’m a married, Christian man.”

He doesn’t get more specific than that, but he does note that even though he’s talking about marriage, he’s no Ben Affleck at the Oscars: “Anyone here that’s married or that’s in a relationship knows that there’s enough things working against you. I’m not going to make one of them Ben Affleck statements and s–t.” Fair enough.

[From Gawker]

It really cracks me up that Kanye references Ben Affleck consistently in his rants. What’s up with that? No, I’m really asking. Ben Affleck isn’t a gossip fixture so much these days, but I feel like Kanye has his eye on Affleck. Like, Kanye has “Ben Affleck” on Google Alert so he can keep up with all the late-breaking Affleck news. Kanye saw Affleck win an Oscar and he watched Ben’s speech several times so he could reference it later. Does Kanye see Affleck as a force for good or for evil? I can’t decide.

As for the “married Christian man” stuff… I don’t even know what Kanye’s train of thought is there. Is he saying that he’s more moral and righteous than unmarried, un-Christian people? That his married Christian status makes him bulletproof and immune from (justified) criticism?

    Kanye West = ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

    • denisemich says:

I love the entertainment value of Kanye West. But Disable -Gate is STUPID. He didn’t see the man in the crowd…The footage of the concert shows he made a mistake.

Sometimes Kanye is his own enemy. If Kanye was less worried about what people thought of him, this story would have died quickly. All of this crap is just to provoke him.

      • doofus says:

IMO, doesn’t matter if he “made a mistake” or not.

if someone doesn’t want to dance, THEY DON’T HAVE TO STAND UP AND DANCE.

people paid to see him perform, not “to see him perform as long as everyone is standing up”.

      • Bob Loblaw says:

I’m with doofus, who goes to a concert to be berated and publicly harrassed for not standing up on Kanye’s command? Kanye has every right to encourage enthusiasm and want fans to be “in to it” but he’s crossing a line when he’s sending security out to see if someone’s “excuse” is legit. Come on.

  2. Tracy says:

I was never a Kanye fan but this story brought my dislike to a whole new level. He is disgusting.

    • Nikki says:

      He really needs reality check.

      • Jamie says:

Or twenty. The first reality check probably wouldn’t even make a dent in the first layer of his delusions.

    • RocketMerry says:

I just cannot possibly begin to imagine what EXACTLY Riccardo Tisci sees in him. Riccardo seems sweet, intelligent, emotional, romantic and creative; so what does he find in Kanye?! I’m baffled.

    • ElleV says:

Because this was in the context of being “demonized” by sensational media, is it possible he meant the “married, Christian man” comment as a counter to the typical negative assumptions / portrayals of himself and other black men? So it’s less of an excuse (“I’m married, Christian and therefore above reproach”) than a way of flipping the narrative. Married and Christian is a crude shorthand for “normal” but he could be saying, “You don’t know who I am. I’m not what you assume. I’m just like you, and all the rest is hype and prejudice.”

Kanye probably doesn’t see anything wrong with demanding proof of his fans’ disabilities, so why would he offer an excuse?

  3. Maum says:

The Christian thing would be to apologise.

  4. savu says:

BECAUSE I’M THE ORIGINAL YEEZUS CHRIST IT AIN’T MY FAULT THE WORLD DON’T UNDERSTAND WHO IS THE NEXT STEVE JOBS OF CHRISTIANITY. I’M GONNA DESIGN A NEW BIBLE THAT’LL BE BETTER THAN ANY FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT BIBLE CAUSE I’M THE NEXT CORBUSIER.

  5. Loopy says:

The guy needs a head scan,he is rude and delusional. And Kim defending him was the icing on top.

  6. aenflex says:

Jim Bakker was also a married, Christian man.

  7. Tristan says:

This guy is the most repulsive jackass ( to quote Pres Obama) in all of entertainment. He will be claiming to raise the dead & walk on water very soon. Just because one marries a dreadful narcoleptic hooker ( to quote Michael K), one does not get a pass to do & say all the appaling things that he seems to spout constantly. I find it astonishing that the entire audience didnt walk out of his tack show en masse after that hideous incident. He should be boycotted for ever by everyone

    • TX says:

+100 I really wish people would stop going to his concerts and feeding his God complex. He’s the worst.

    • wolfpup says:

“Repulsive jack ass”, is pretty strong language, being that Barack Obama is not fast and loose with his words.

I like how you have put it, Kaiser; does being a Christian man make him bulletproof and immune from (justifiable) criticism? It’s amusing to me because there are so many Christians who really believe that. My neighbor tells me to accept Jesus…that “salvation beyond the grave” is guaranteed by that alignment; that he (Jesus) will just wrap me in his love the day after I commit suicide, when life just gets too darn hard here. Forever saved…I’m serious.

There is so much focus on life after death, that the pleasures and individual awesomeness of life on earth, here, right now, on this wondrous planet; is traded for the imagined rewards of the hereafter. It is one thing to do something out of simple kindness and empathy; and there is another sort of kindness given, due to the demands, fear, and rewards of a god, who we are told, will reveal his presence after we die. I don’t have an imaginary friend…and I don’t believe that the Christian walk is ethically superior to my own. I do not have unrealistic goals and pressures to be more or less than I already am, nor am I armed with excuses (the “fallen” story), for being otherwise. I accept myself, and all of humanity who share life with me at this precious moment of our time here, where evolution continues for homo sapien sapiens. Believing in sorrow (and cursing), is not the way of the earth, where flourishing and return is the obvious.

“For Mercy has a human heart, Pity a human face…” (William Blake)

  8. Jayna says:

Phil Robertson from the Duck Dynasty TV show is also a married Christian man. Your point, Kanye?

  9. BeckyR says:

How would you like to wake up looking at that face every morning?

    • Lis says:

      No thanks.

    • Mia V. says:

Kim wakes up to look to a mirror.

      • Nicolette says:

Yup, as she bats her eyes and asks “Mirror mirror on the wall who’s the fakest, I mean fairest of them all?”

    • Miffy says:

Yeah, but it can’t be much easier waking up to Kim’s weird wax doll face staring at you either (it stares, she can’t blink anymore, too much ‘tox to the lids. Kris Jenner has assigned Brody Jenner to stand by her bedside and administer eye drops while she sleeps. Poor Brody, should’ve invested that Hills money better)

    • Tiffany :) says:

I could NOT tolerate waking up to his rants every day. Because you know that is how his day starts and ends….beating everyone around him over the head with his endless thoughts on everything.

He thinks Kim is great because she has a knack for pretending like she’s listening while zoning out.

  10. elisa says:

Nothing Kanye says or does surprises me anymore – though this was a new low.

    Ugh, just … ugh.

  11. Kiddo says:

He could have ranted about injustices at his concert. He could be writing songs that address serious social issues like Marvin Gaye. If he really wanted to call attention to THOSE cultural problems, he could have asked the audience to sing those songs and create awareness. Instead, his songs and rants are about his genius, his dentist, or his wife. Then he chastises the media for paying attention to what he is calling attention to. I’ll give credit where it’s due, though. He took a page out of the politicians handbook by deflecting criticism with the oft-used, “I’m Christian and married; family values platform cancels out everything else.

    • Ag says:

YES to everything you said. and, seriously, is this jacka$$ running for office or what? ugh.

    • Tiffany27 says:

That ship has sailed my friend. Once he said celebrities are treated like “black people from the 1960s” I realized Kanye is gone and not returning. If I knew then what I know now I would have never been a stan.

      • Kiddo says:

Maybe he really has emotional/mental issues to be tended to?

      • betty says:

Kanye has had problems since the passing of his mother. His behavior has been bizarre and getting worse. Too bad he does not see it. Why do some artist ask the audience to participate when doing a show. Most people pay to be entertained, not help the artist entertain them.

      • Bob Loblaw says:

I heard he had a severe blow to the head in that bad accident he had, concussions can lead to a loss of impulse control (like blurting things out) but I’ve also heard he has always had a big ego and been a big talker.

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

You see, war is not the answer, for only love can conquer hate
You know we’ve got to find a way to bring some lovin’ here today.

    • Tiffany :) says:

      Great points, Kiddo. Very true!
He broadcasts about the very topics he pretends to distain.

  12. Bess says:

I also can’t believe that more people didn’t boo Mr. Khardashian or walk out.

Also, why does Kanye insist on trying to speak like he’s from the hood? His mother was an English professor. It’s not like she spoke like that to him or would have even allowed that kind of language in her house.

  13. Mia V. says:

You know, Yeezus, the people on Inquisition was nice Christian men too.

  14. DanaG says:

Guess he isn’t Jesus or else the guy wouldn’t have needed the wheelchair. He is an arrogant egotistical who is married to a porn star with no talent happy to take money of those way less fortunate for her designer “clothes and handbags”. A real christian would never have said it and they would have apologised.

  15. lower-case deb says:

i read the debates on Youtube between Kanyians and the Anti-Kanyians. most interesting read. apart from whether it’s right or wrong for an artist to demand his paying public to do what he tells them to do… i guess the main argument in defense is that “Kanye can’t see everyone he’s not elevent meters tall and therefore has to send someone he trusts to verify it”. if so, i think the Christian thing to do was then to apologize to the two people he had so thoroughly humiliated that day.

    has he apologized yet?

and he can apologize while seated on all the seats. no need to stand up, Mr West.

  16. Lis says:

My husbands ex is a so-called Christian too – and a nasty, judgemental, hypocritical bitch. Lots of questionable people are hiding behind ‘religion’.

Kanye dares to call himself Christian after wanting to be referred to as Yeezus? What an a$$hole.

    • Victoria1 says:

I know a few people who pull that card and they are the most vile, hate filled people who twist Christianity. Personally, religion to me is bullshit but how about treating people with respect in all walks of life? Just because you put out albums, movies, whatever celebrities do, treat people nicely! Stop being demanding because you are “talented”. Rant over.

    • doofus says:

“Lots of questionable people are hiding behind ‘religion’.”

and use it to spew hate against others. What Would Jesus Do, indeed…

    • Miffy says:

The Christianity card is the last line of defense for a complete dick head. ‘I’m not a jerk, I’m religious’ is as relevant an argument as ‘I’m not a jerk, I love the colour yellow.’

    • Bob Loblaw says:

There is a tremendous difference between calling yourself a Christian and acting like a Christian. Most of the loud mouth self-proclaimed Christians in this country (the good old USA) are not Christian at all, they’re a pack of self serving grifters and everybody knows it. If you shout your faith, it’s just showboating; if you live your faith, it’s obvious. Kanye is no Christian by his many actions.

  17. Kim1 says:

    WWJD?
Imagine living with this guy ?
I feel sorry for North more and more each day.Her father and his endless rants. Her mother taking endless selfies.

  18. NewWester says:

How long will Kanye stay a “married Christian man” if Kim and Lucifer’s Homegirl get tired of his antics?

    • Sea Dragon says:

Nah, he and the Klan made a pact years ago based on the only priorities they share: fame and fortune. Neither party will be leaving any time soon.

  19. grabbyhands says:

Why is it always the people who trumpet their “Christianity” the loudest that actually live the least Christian like lives? Belief in God isn’t a get put of jail free card to behave like a total dick with no consequences.

And frankly, WTF does that even mean in relation to the wheelchair incident anyway? I think he has serious mental issues, because this all seems to be getting worse, not better.

    • doofus says:

because they DON’T lead Christian lives. that’s exactly it.

people who do lead a “christian” type of life…that is, treating others with kindness, patience, and generosity, as Christ would do…don’t have to tell everyone that they’re a Christian. they simply live it, and people see it.

      • Katy-did says:

        Well said doofus!!

      • GoogleyEyes says:

        This.

I wish he didn’t say he was Christian. We already get a bad rep in the media and now this. Thanks Kanye. You’re so Christian in marrying a porn star, having a baby out of wedlock, a music video simulating sex on a motorcycle, disrespecting pretty much everybody, having too much pride and calling yourself Jesus. I can’t with this guy.

    • Bob Loblaw says:

If you have to state it publicly, it’s about public perception and the impression you want to make on others. In this case, Kanye’s trying to hide behind his “good Christian” upbringing, implying we should all assume his mistake was innocent and therefore we should not criticize him for it. He thinks only in terms of his own feelings and how upset he is by the criticism he is receiving. He has zero awareness of how anyone else feels, he thinks only about himself.

  20. Jaderu says:

And Yeezus did send down his Batfleck upon the flock and the faithful thoust didn’t listen to the rap in their nice abodes for they shall see thatest they truly believed what they believed because they were the only who believed. Amen. #nodisrespectojennifergarner

  21. Talie says:

Wendy Williams is right — he will crack up any day now. That’s why he has head problems. He better be careful and take care of himself.

    • black orchid, says:

in a strange way ,his rants worry me ,he needs to give himself a break

      • Pager90 says:

I think so too. I just feel sorry for Kanye. I think he has emotional issues that he needs to address and take a break from his work for awhile.

    • Bob Loblaw says:

When I’m feeling sympathetic, I agree with you, he needs to step back from the over-exposure the K Klan has drawn him into, it seems to be stressing him out. He has a lot on his plate and he would probably be better off if he just focused on being creative and doing his music thing. He is a self proclaimed genius but he is failing to act like a genius, he needs to get reclusive and arty and vent his frustrations on minions. Do like the Beatles, go to an ashram for a reboot or something.

  22. Skins says:

Uh, Mr Christian, your wife is a porn star

  23. als says:

Big dislike for all the people that pay for his shows just to get ordered and pushed around. And Yeezus is not the only ‘artist’ doing this. I saw video of Jared Leto interrupting a song and going into the audience, ‘politely’ asking a young girl if there is something wrong with her, as in if she wasn’t screaming and throwing her hands up, it was something wrong with her. The tone of his voice was so cool and full of undertones, he was downright threatening.
I heard bigger names piss on the crowd, beside ordering them when to clap, when to stand, etc.
It’s OK to have personal preferences, but to pay for this shit…in this economy?!

    • NorthernGirl_20 says:

I went to a small concert in the town I went to university in to see the Philosopher Kings .. The singer ended up telling the audience off because nobody wanted to go on stage and show them their tits.

  24. Ag says:

STFU, dude. STFU. as many people who use christianity (or any other religion) to cover all sorts of misdeeds and “sins,” he just need to STFU.

not to mention, people pay him to perform for them. if they want to sit, even if they’re in a wheelchair, then he should not feel free to harass them about it. if they want to get up and dance, they will, you a$$. otherwise, keep doing your gig, which is what your paying fans expect from you.

    • Lady D says:

This arrogant douche actually thought people would blurt out their medical info for his ego? I also think he has forgotten who the clown/performer is in this scenario.

  25. Deanne says:

What it is with complete and total asses using Christianity as their defence for ignorant, arrogant behaviour? The fundies use it to excuse bigotry and discrimination and so many celebs throw it out there as a defence, when they behave badly. He actually is saying that he won’t apologize for humiliating these people and that he’s the real victim. I didn’t think I could dislike him more than his disgusting wife, but now I do. Why people keep supporting this couple is beyond me. They are both garbage individuals. Poor little North.

  26. MrsBPitt says:

Seriously, what is Kanye’s obsession with Affleck? It’s a little bizarre….of course, it’s Kanye, and he is totally bizarre!

    • Jem says:

Methinks he’s crushing on Affleck… It’s actually pretty creepy when u think about it

      • MrsBPitt says:

I was thinking that too! I wonder if he shouts out “BEN” when he is with Kim? And when Kim asks “Baby, why do you yell Ben when we make love?” Kanye, stutters for a minute, then says, “you know, baby, cause you ben with everyone” lol

      • Jaderu says:

“you know, baby, cause you ben with everyone”
        Oh lord MrsB
        I’m dying right now.
        LOL

      • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

Yeah. This reminds me of this church my family (well, us kids and my dad) used to go to.

Whenever we went to church, my dad would drop us off at the front door, and then go and park the car in the parking lot in the back. So we would go in, and go take our seats. Every single time we walked through the door, the pastor would ask “Where’s your dad?”. EVERY SINGLE TIME. Now there were only 10-15 other people at the church (it was TINY), and the parking lot was RIGHT THERE.

And it wasn’t like we skipped church–or my dad skipped church on the regular. Unless someone was sick or out of town, we went. It was freaking annoying.
Seriously. It pinged my gaydar after a while.

    • pk says:

Kanye is a narcissist and envy is a hallmark of narcissism..if I had to guess he is envious of Affleck for some reason.

  27. littlemissnaughty says:

God, I feel so bad for their child. One can only hope that the rumors are true and they don’t spend that much time with her.

  28. Tippy says:

Sounds as if Kanye was engaging in a cruel game of Simon Sez.

I was somewhat concerned for the people in wheelchairs when Kanye began to incite the rest of the audience.

  29. JM says:

    Deflect. Deflect. Deflect.

Can anyone imagine Mick Jagger or David Bowie (got them on the brain from the Bowie post) stopping in the middle of a show because the audience wouldn’t get in line with what they wanted? No. Why? They have talent and don’t need to resort to dramatics to be entertaining. And calling what Kanye does entertainment is a stretch.

    • Bob Loblaw says:

One of my best concert experiences, I saw a small show of a group I loved, and I sang along to all my favorite songs. After the show, we stuck around to get autographs, and the lead singer said, “I saw you, you knew all the words, I noticed you singing with me.” I was blown away, I had no idea she could even see into the audience, let alone catch me singing along. I understand that audience involvement is important in performance but Kanye needs to be sensitive to his fans feelings too, not just his own feelings.

  30. joy says:

Seriously please don’t let there be any more apologists for this twat. He’s wretched.

  31. Suzy from Ontario says:

I hate it when people stick Christian into a sentence as if it’s extra proof of how good a person they are. It isn’t. There are lots of Christians who are horrible people. Ditto for married. So saying you are a married Christian man…big deal.

    • Relli says:

I believe Rufus in Dogma said it best:

…. but it bothers Him to see the sh!t that gets carried out in His name – wars, bigotry, televangelism. But especially the factioning of all the religions. He said humanity took a good idea and, like always, built a belief structure on it.

    • Nessa says:

Come on! I thought being a married Christian was supposed to absolve you of all your sins?!?

As for Kanye, the man is dumb. Like, excruciatingly stupid. He doesn’t have two brain cells to rub together. Effing moron.

  32. capepopsie says:

His EGO is so HUGE it´s going to drown him pretty soon.
    What a jerk. 🙁

  33. leondo says:

You know, how would he feel if his daughter was disabled and was treated by her favorite entertainer like that? He is a disgusting human being as with that pig wife of his. Why does he have apologists and fans still? I hate it when people bring up his deceased mother as an excuse. Prince William and Harry have a deceased mother too, do they act like how he does? They even lost their mother at a way younger age then him. Why does he always have people defending his or his wife’s actions?

  34. Brooklyn queen says:

    No words…

  35. Virgilia Coriolanus says:

4 words: Queen. Live Aid. Wembley. 1985.

I didn’t see Freddie Mercury yelling into his microphone for everyone to clap at the right spot for ‘Radio GaGa’.

    • FingerBinger says:

The greatest performers wouldn’t stop a show to make sure everybody was standing and clapping. Jimi Hendrix would never have stopped playing his guitar to make sure people were standing.

    • MsMercury says:

Of course not because Freddie was a natural performer and the crowd was in his hands from the start. He never ordered anyone to do anything they just went along with him. It is truly one of the best performances ever.

I say Tom Petty last night and he was wonderful I mean everyone was singing and dancing and clapping the whole night. He didn’t have to do a thing but couldn’t be nicer and sweeter. He was also really funny.

      • Lady D says:

One of the best concerts I ever went to was Tom Petty. It was a last minute invitation and am I ever glad I went. He looked so small on stage, but when he started to sing, what a commanding stage presence. He was completely captivating.

      • ScrewStewrat99 says:

My mom and aunt are diehard Petty fans, so I grew up listening to everything he ever made. They go to every concert he has in Fl, but I’ve only been to one and I have to say, it was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. He is amazing live.

      • Alarmjaguar says:

Yep, I’ve seen him twice. The first time, it was raining and I was in the very last row, but that is still the best concert I’ve ever been to – Tom Petty is amazing

  36. lucy2 says:

Funny how this guy is constantly “look at me, pay attention to me! I’m the best everything ever! My wife is #1 most popular!” but then as soon as that attention is on something really terrible he did, he’s all “aren’t there more important things in the world to focus on?”

  37. LIVEALOT says:

ok if you sign up to attend a kanye west concert..paraplegic or not… you know to expect rants and attitude …basically if i was dude in wheelchair i would have laughed at him so hard and felt special that the whole concert stopped b/c of me. but i also would have expected backstage passes after his goof.

is it wrong that when i first heard this story i really thought he was commanding the wheelchair guy to stand as if he really was a healer like jesus christ. lol. a mess!!

  38. Emily C. says:

“Anyone here that’s married or that’s in a relationship knows that there’s enough things working against you.”

Er, no, actually. Of course, Kanye West married to anyone would have things working against him, and being married to Kim Kardashian makes it that much harder. Jackasses certainly have things working against their marriage.

    • Bob Loblaw says:

Yeah and I’m sick of this attitude that marriage is prison or servitude. Nobody forced him to marry. If you want to be married, it’s not that difficult to make it work, it takes two people making an agreement and sticking to it. The only thing working against any marriage is the two people in it. Just like the swimming pool, you’re either in or you’re out, make the choice.

  39. Alex says:

Ugh go away kanye. His rants get worse as the years go on. The first time I saw him at my college he went on a 20 minute rant about college girls and how slutty they can be. At a college. Where the audience was 50% female. People were standing on their chairs the entire concert and when the rant started we all sat down and checked our phones until he was done lol. Pretty sure I still have the video.
Anyways his thinking that being Christian makes him immune from criticism makes me lol. That’s like when females say you’re not a feminist if you criticize other women. *sigh*

  40. Ginger says:

It seems to me that Kanye believes he’s Jesus so why not keep track of Affleck who he probably believes is really Batman? But seriously Kanye never makes sense. It must be exhausting for Kim to try and keep up with the crap that comes out of his mouth.

    • lucy2 says:

Ha! You think she does anything all day besides stare at herself in the mirror and wonder which part to replace next? I get the impression they never spend time together unless it’s for a photo op of some kind.

    • word says:

Yes, he thinks he is God and NO ONE is allowed to say anything negative about God ! Say something bad about Kanye, and you will be sent to hell lol.

  41. whatsmyname? says:

Did he get rejected by Ben or something? And please shut up Kanye for the love of everything.

    • word says:

I don’t know, maybe JLo was Kanye’s first choice and he’s just mad at Ben because Ben hit that and he didn’t? Kanye had to settle for a cheap JLo wannabe.

That wasn’t that bad. I thought it would be way worse.

  43. Sam says:

I’m pretty sure that Pride is one of the 7 deadly sins for Christians. Just sayin’….

  44. pk says:

It just goes to show you no matter how much money and fame they have, they have fragile egos and care very much what people think otherwise they wouldn’t always be on the defense.

  45. Palermo says:

A Christian man married to a porn star. Uh huh honey.

  46. msw says:

    That headline made me lol.

  47. Janet says:

Hey Kanye, a lot of married Christian guys are dumb f*cking jerks. Welcome to the club.

  48. word says:

He needs to eff off already. Who cares if he’s married and a “Christian”? That has nothing to do with anything. He is a joke, he needs to realize that. He needs to come to terms that he married a woman who lives for the spotlight. A woman who purposely calls the paps, who willingly puts stories out about herself. What did he think was going to happen when he married her? Did he think the world was going to bow down or something? Does he think as a celebrity he is untouchable and only “good” stories about him are going to come out? Excuse me sir, you married a Kardashian, those fools love bad press like no tomorrow.

  49. Sassy says:

This assclown makes me stabby. I JUST CAN’T WITH HIM. Ugh.

  50. ketjo says:

While we being honest here , I seriously question in intelligence level of people who pay out hard earned money to go see and hear this Moron rant and rave for two hours…With a foul nasty curse coming every third word out of his mouth….and his racist rants against the entire white population of the world . His nasty sexual lyrics …he is beyond a the shock value type and into the insane territory…..and he is not even a good rapper….

  51. Pager90 says:

I don’t even like it when a music star is performing and holds out the microphone and tells the crowd to sing..

I actually feel sorry for him. I think he’s got issues he needs to seriously address.

  52. RK says:

Calling yourself a Christian doesn’t make you one….

  53. Sea Dragon says:

@Kaiser- just want to say I appreciate the irony of the first pic in the thread. The contrast couldn’t be any clearer.

  54. hmmm says:

Boy, that’s a really random description of himself- he’s not much of a ‘man’.

  55. Veronica says:

Watching him fritter away all that awesome musical talent through his own behavior has been really painful over the years. He occasionally has really insightful things to say, but it gets lost in the wake of his douchey bullshit.

Here are my favorite religious programs as an antidote to yet another Yeezus post (all available on Adult Swim, either on the current schedule or in their online video collection:
    – Family Guy episode (animated, I think it was the Bird is the Word episode): Peter runs into Jesus working in a store. Seems Jesus actually comes back about every 100 years to see how things are going. After Peter gets him drunk and tossed into jail, J decides maybe he needs to hang back home for a while before another visit.
    – Lucy, Daughter of the Devil (animated): She’s supposed to be the Anti-Christ (her mom agreed to give birth to her in exchange for a car)but went to art school instead. She falls for a DJ named Jesús. Her dad keeps killing off her boyfriends but can’t do anything about this one. The episode in the desert where her dad (always wearing Cosby sweaters) tries to tempt Jesús with stuff on his way to a gig is especially biblical (they end up driving in a car together). Mayhem abounds while a Vatican team tries to get rid of Lucy.
    – Rising Son (live action). Short series. Jesus is still living with his parents. His dad Joseph has a furniture store and is trying to get the kid out of the house. All in ancient Palestine, of course. Kind of a mellow soap opera.
    – Black Jesus (live action). Another twist on the Second Coming. As in all the others, Jesus is a laid-back nice guy, hanging with his underemployed peeps in Compton and rolling joints. He stands out in his old Palestinian clothes and because he’s very tall.

    Enjoy.

Kanye just seems like such an unhappy person. He has really low self esteem thus the ranting and raving plus excuses for his poor attitude towards others. He is one of the most hated and disliked celebrity in America. Kim is not going to stick around forever with a man like this. I think at one point or another she will want to move on from him with a more “mature” man.

I don’t so much mind the interaction. When I saw Black Sabbath for the first time in 2005 Ozzy was like “We’re gonna sing Fairies Wear Boots!!” and maybe 20 people cheered, so Ozzy put his hand to his ear, scratched his head, cleared his throat, and said “I saaaaaaid, we’re gonna sing Fairies Wear Boots!” It was funny. Bon Jovi instructed us to start a verse of a song with the understanding that he would finish it. When I saw Shaggy they divided the crowd into two groups and had us compete for who was the loudest. I think it’s nice to feel like you’re part of the show and the band is acknowledging you, as opposed to the Elton John style of just singing straight through with your back to the audience.
That being said, there’s including your audience in the show to show your appreciation, and being a douche who shames people for not doing exactly what the artist wants.
